Just reading the OP again. I think this is one of the more interesting coin ideas I have come across in a while, but just want to make sure I am understanding this right. 1) Everything is handled through the wallet right? Seeding and mining? So we just keep our wallets open and we seed. 2) If we want to mine we can only mine with our CPUs through the wallet and can't use gpus or anything else correct? 3) If we have multiple computers can we install a wallet on each computer to seed and mine with? 4) The altcoinherald has you launching this on the 4th is that still correct? Didn't see much about that on this thread, but might just be I'm a bit slow processing the OP Meaning in a few hours depending on time zone. Didn't check to see what time zone the herald is posting at. Sorry didn't originally see your post saying you don't know when it will be released yet, but will keep us posted Have a Good Day.

I'm in. Will rent some rigs and point both mine your way. Really like the fact there is no pre-mine or IPO. I personally hope you keep the POW then POS hybrid approach instead of switching back to POW at a later time. One question. You said a few pools will have access to the source before launch why not give it to all the pools that have committed so all pools are on equal footing? Have a Good Day!

lets see if this coin can survive in this ASIC-Scrypt things cause when i see that this coin change from x13 to scrypt it will be hard for GPU miner and the other miner (CPU) too well, good luck for ya we have tried and tried to get the X13 to work but we cant get the coin to work so have reluctantly chosen scrypt as i hate the ASIC miners out there. our future projects will be x13 as our coder is still working on it and thinks he will manage to get the future coins to work with a few more weeks of playing around. As another poster said. Until this post I was interested at least pointing a small asic or 2 your way, but if you plan on releasing more coins sounds like a pump and dump scam. Also donate .05 bitcoin for a tee shirt. That's what $30 a tee shirt. Not so free. I think I can donate directly to established not for profits and know for sure the money goes where it is supposed to. Make it that I can buy a tee shirt with your coin, again as another person also said, I'll mine some to get one. I do hope your project goes better than it sounds like it is. I do agree that the rainforests are extremely important for our future. I'll stop by the thread a couple more times before launch and see if anything has improved. Have a good day everyone.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone else is having problems with rented rigs form nicehash with this coin? I started the rental a few minutes after launch and it is still reporting dead. I contacted nicehash, but just wondering if it is just me or if everyone is having this problem. I doubled checked all the info and is pointed correctly to stratum+tcp://stratum.pool.mn:7835, and my other rented rig on betarig is fine and so are my own 2 rigs. Thanks
I've experimented with nicehash on my own - for some reason they put an order as dead due to "connection terminated by pool", however there is nothing going on the pool's side. The only solution I've found is to cancel that dead order and make a new one. Thanks for replying. I haven't had this problem with past orders thought it might be something else. Just checked and it's amazingly just started working, well live at least. The bid price jumped while I was offline of course I'm sure it will come back down eventually. Have a good Day! Nix that now offline again this time saying. "Disconnected. Old job."

Hello, I'm having a problem with my order #30459 it reports as dead. I doubled and tripled checked the info and it is correct and the 2 other rigs I rented from someone else and my own 2 rigs are fine. Any idea why? Oh I have rented and mined at the same site before, just for a different coin, and it worked fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance and Have a Good Day. Update: Finally just came online of course after the bid price went up Offline again now saying "Disconnected. Old job." what does that mean? The order is at most a couple hours old.

Hi copychicken. I just read the thread really quick are you talking about a delay in the wallet or a delay in the launch? Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss something. Thanks.

is this coin dead? https://mj.suprnova.cc/ Sorry guys, we're having some issues with the server on which MJ Coin would (re-)launch which cannot be fixed until tonight, there are several other pools @ start for this coin, please choose one of these from the OP @ Bitcointalk.
Hope to see you at the next launch !with pool.mn: We are investingating issues in the backend. Your shares and hashrate are safe and we will fix things ASAP. Payouts disabled, you will not receive any coins to your offline wallet for the time being what happen of this coin :?any one who can tell me ? still waiting. try to mine another pool to get payout. I have fixed the payouts at pool.mn. Maturity of new blocks was set at 500 confirmations (as it says in the OP), however blocks mature after 510 confirmations. Hi I have started to receive payouts from pool.mn, but not hardcoreminers. Does anyone know if any of the other pools payments are working or received a payment from hardcoreminers? Thanks

Hi this is just my experience with them. I've now mined 4 new coins with them and have had no problems. I plan to use them again in the future and if I remember to wake up early enough will use them for this coin too. If there really is a problem with them please tell me in more detail what it is so I can be on the lookout for something specific? Not just some general comment. Thanks and Have a Good Day.

where does the wallet creates it's files? i can't connect to any node so i have to create a conf file.
users/(your user name)/appdata/roaming/mjcoin It's in a post a couple pages back i can't find anything like this on windows xp. i tried search option and nothing. Oh XP. I'll have to look and see if I have an old hard drive lying around with XP on it. If I do I'll let you know. I am only guessing, but it would be most likely still a hidden directory like appdata is on Win 7

Does anyone even have any M.Jcoin yet except the dev? Isn't it 500 confirms till payout for everyone? We are only at block 440. It would be nice if the dev would put some in to get it started Hope everyone has a good Day Yup, when you wake up in the morning i hope you see some nice confirmed coins I hope so as well. So far its pretty slow going. Figured a new coin would be a tad easier at the onset. This is the first time I have seen my error rate this high. Been mining a lot of different coins without having to change settings. CGminer shows 9HW but the pool has me at 1243! That is a pretty big difference. Can you help explain what that is all about? Thanks What are you mining on or are you renting? All mine are doing about the same as they do on any other pool/coin. The 500 confirms is a lot though.

I was just looking through the thread and didn't see it anywhere, unless I missed it . What does the M.J really stand for? I saw a few posts about what people think it is, but nothing definitive. Have a Good Day!

I didn't see it mentioned anywhere in the thread. What does everyone think of faucets? I know a lot of other coins I mine and buy have them to try and get more people involved. I'm not sure if it the do a great job at that, but for a few seconds of my time I normally stop by the faucets every day and get some free coin.
faucets are a great way to get your coin noticed.. but naked girls will get much more attention lol I agree. Maybe once a site is up put a faucet next to the naked girls
