341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woes of gambling on: January 10, 2024, 07:58:13 AM
The part you missed is the simplest of all, if gamblers around the world are not making money from gambling, casinos wont survive anymore because many gamblers would have quit.

As hard as it seem to win in gambling, the reason why many still have hope is because they know someone or a friend of a friend who just won some money in gambling, OP, people are still making money by gambling, if you think otherwise you should quit, it may be for the best reasons.

It will be your decision, not for many others, and some people will get more luckier than you, it's how this world is created, you will feel even more frustrated if you are jealous of them, not knowing that some people are created with the lucky stars.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What casino has the best bonuses? on: January 09, 2024, 11:00:58 AM
I don't go after casino bonuses after I found out that the best fair bonuses really belongs to those who are VIP, I just paused and make a uturn and never look back, even free bonuses from the majority of casinos are not really free.

Either deposit bonuses or not you will be required to still perform some things before the free bonuses ends up been yours, I don't hate this idea and I also don't like it, this move makes casinos a step ahead of spammers, those who are looking for easy money won't get them easily.

You should give coins.game a try, they offer their customers some good bonuses depending on your level, I believe you need to wager better to increase your chances with bonuses.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do people always play gambling even if they always lose? on: January 09, 2024, 10:11:32 AM
It's the expectation they have, this is what keeps them going even while they keep losing, some people have no choice than to gamble, when gambling is the last hope for anyone it becomes an addiction, they want to use gambling as the breakthrough for them, not a smart way to become a gambler though.

You will make every mistakes as a gambler if you don't have a job and all you have your hope on is gambling, there will be max lack of discipline and you will gamble anyhow, there will be no fun or patience for someone who have no job or source of income.

If you walk into a casino with $30 and you plan to make money enough that can keep you in your rented home for months and also bring food on your table, you will freak out if you don't win anything with that $30 of yours, you want to win but you aren't really capable of losing that money.
344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the kind of world you want to live in? [read] on: January 09, 2024, 09:21:19 AM
I have said this too many times before that Bitcoin adopters are using Bitcoin wrong, we can see how many times Bitcoin investors have surrendered their BTC into the hands of centralized exchange, I have never liked this idea in the first place and sometime I have thoughts about what could have been better.

I once thought about what would have happen if Satoshi created a means of exchange for Bitcoin that's not in control of anyone, and also fully decentralized? Maybe this would have control people for the better? Yeah nothing is perfect and we learn as time goes on.

I believe that the problem of Bitcoin is the adopters, they are the ones giving the centralized entities power of them and Bitcoin, if you are using something that's decentralized in a centralized way it's no more decentralized.
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we even need bitcoin mixers? on: January 09, 2024, 08:04:32 AM
Privacy coins are mostly well built out of the box for those who want to make transactions anonymously, something that's not available in Bitcoin mech, but I understand why people wished that Bitcoin was made this way, more people will always prefer Bitcoin over XMR, but the truth is XMR is perfect for anonymous way of moving funds around.

I am glad that Satoshi doesn't build Bitcoin as a privacy coin because the hate will be much more than what we are seeing today, the government will even have more reason to want to kill Bitcoin, it will be called the criminal's digital money and it will fits just well.

Mixers are not really necessary, I haven't use it once because I don't see why I should, and if I have to do any private transaction I will go for Monero (XMR).
346  Economy / Services / Re: Crypto casino investor on: January 09, 2024, 07:11:37 AM
Either you are genuine or not people on here won't give you the room for consideration because you are a newbie, you need to build some reputation for yourself on here first before anything else or else people won't follow your lead.

I myself believe that when something like this is coming from a new Bitcointalk account its a red flag, I will never contact you even if I have the skills you are looking for, sorry, it's just that too many bad people are out there looking for someone to use and dump, I don't plan on becoming such person's victim.

If you want to shed light on this matter you need to prove that you are not like every other crazy person on this forum who are looking forward to take from people and never give anything in return.
347  Economy / Gambling / Re: UNREAL!! Sportsbet.io pays out a $42,000,000 USDT Casino WIN!! on: January 08, 2024, 10:21:51 AM
This person's life is set forever, if the winner knows what they are doing, I believe this should be a generational wealth in their family starting from now, having $42 million in my country will make you dine with the billionaires lol.

If they use the money rightfully they are set for life, mind you, this shouldn't prompt anyone to start risking $50 on gambling to follow this persons lead, he got lucky and let it stay this way, you should also keep trying your luck but don't risk what you can't afford to lose.

I bet this person is capable of losing the $50 per game, and not everyone can afford this, I myself can't even afford to risk such amount on a game, because I can use this amount to gamble for days.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ? on: January 08, 2024, 09:42:10 AM
Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ?  If not, how much you think is sufficient to retire as Gambling winning ?

There is no amount of winning that you will be compelled to retire there are records of gamblers who won a big amount of money then eventually lost it from gambling, in fact, it's the other way around it will motivate gamblers more because of the greed of winning more, gamblers stopped when they do not have funds or they have cured their urge to gamble.
I believe that when the money is so damn enough it's a calling to quit gambling forever, like the guy who used $50 to make $42 million dollars?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5480517.0

I believe this person won't need to ever come back again, because this amount of money is more than enough to set a generational wealth for his generation, unless he is a stupid person who lack the knowledge.

What am I even saying? This is a possibility, many gamblers lacks the money management skills, that's why they gamble recklessly in the first place, and if a reckless gambler win a lot of money, it won't make them smarter.
349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jpg monkeys are making the fees impossible? Just use a meme coin! on: January 08, 2024, 08:26:09 AM
I think the entire BTC ecosystem feels that brother, yes the fees are completely insane and I am fed up with them. Used to think ordinals were cool until I realized that it completely screws you when you send btc
It's good that you understand now, and I believe that the real frustration isn't even close yet, wait and see what will happen when Bitcoin hopefully reach 100k in 2025, the congestion will be so massive.

I read about an upgrade on Bitcoin network for BRC20 only, which will make any transaction on pause mode even on all centralized exchange, maybe this has something to do with the transaction fee fix? If not, we are toast.

Since this is the new shitcoin called meme on Bitcoin Network, I still plan to make insane amount from it anyway, but I am still not very happy that this is affecting Bitcoin, now I can't do small transaction, all I can do is lock my Bitcoin away for good, till a new all time high is happening.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I could have won bigger. on: January 08, 2024, 07:03:54 AM
I could have been happy that my money is with my friend even if I won in gambling, because I could have lost too, so far he is going to pay you back why worry?

You could have won big indeed, but you could have also lose big as well, you don't have to blame him, the role he played that day could have save you from losing your whole bankroll too.

I would rather win very little in gambling instead of chasing the biggest wins, because gambling is a game of lucky and the chances of losing big is also present, but if you risk very little and win some money it's free money, it doesn't have to be millions of dollars.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling on: January 08, 2024, 06:33:18 AM
Good luck finding the algorithm then, if you don't like going against the casino when you are gambling find games likes sports and bet your money on them, or find games that are players vs players.

If any cheating is going to happen in gambling it's easily from those games that player vs the casino system, cheating will be lesser if you are playing vs another player.

Forget algorithm, even if you get your hand on one do not believe that it will keep working, they don't last long, I remember when people found freebitco bot that's needed to be running in the background of your PC while you are on the official website, few people made some good amount of BTC but it doesn't last very long before it was patched.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you willing to bet $50 spin for a chance to win $42 million? on: January 07, 2024, 10:59:31 AM
This thread is inspired by the thread created by sportsbet.io about a lucky bettor who won $42 million on a $50 spin.

So let's discuss. This kind of win can be compelete considered based on luck, and the winner is so lucky that he hit the Jackpot. However, since the goal here is $42 million and you can only win that if you would bet $50 for one spin. So, do you have the courage to do that?
It only makes sense if all you risk in a week is $50 on gambling, and after taking a risk with all the money and you lose then take your leave, if you can do this then it's fair enough.

The thing is, can you afford to lose $50 and walk out of the casino after losing the money? If the answer is yes then it's worth the risk, some people are saying that if risk higher on gambling you will probably win more, is losing chances lower at this point?

I don't think so, my advice for anyone that want to go this strategy is to be prepared for loses, it's very possible to lose and also all in one swipe, with $50 I will still go many rounds in a slot machine instead of risking it all at once.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: January 07, 2024, 08:46:39 AM
It depends on your state of mind, gambling plays a lot with peoples mind, and it's capable of imprisoning the mind if you let it, if you find it hard to quit gambling, you are already a pawn to gambling, you are not in control of yourself anymore and the quicker you hate been control by something else the faster you will break free.

I believe that many people in the world today still struggles with making decisions by themselves, they mostly like following others, but this is something I don't like, I prefer making decisions myself, where I don't feel safe no one can tell me that it's safe.

I believe that gambling is good if all you want is some fun, I can place bet on games among my friend just to make the experience more fun, but gambling against the casino is different, you are not playing with another human like yourself but the machines, how hard can it be for me to say no when I feel like I can't afford to lose money in gambling?

Those who find it very hard to quit gambling have too much hope and focus on gambling, I think they don't really know what gambling is all about, they have managed to confuse themselves that it's very easy to make money in gambling.
354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why KYC is extremely dangerous – and useless on: January 07, 2024, 07:58:37 AM
I have read a lot of comments in the section and I am not surprised that everyone are saying the same thing about KYC verification, I have personally passed many KYC verification on exchanges myself and I don't regret doing it.

I am someone who likes looking at things from both sides, just because I don't like KYC verification doesn't mean it is nonsense, I am currently staying away from giving up my identity to any centralized exchanges but how about we think this way instead?

OP, this is for you, have you put yourself in the position of running a platform yourself? That can't do without regulation like running a casino? Or running a crypto exchange like Binance? Can you do away without asking your customers for KYC verification? Can you advice them to avoid passing KYC because its not safe? I will love to hear people's opinion.
355  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to self exclude from anonymous gambling sites on: January 07, 2024, 07:16:25 AM
You can watch this video from 07:20 if you want to skip on the other parts:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxty2XhTwVI

Basically it's very simple.

You take a currency that requires 21 days for staking/unstaking, then you deposit this amount in Atomic Wallet, stake it and then you can't gamble with the crypto you're holding.

The locking (staking) is done with one single click of a button, and it's practically speaking, equivalent to activation of self-exclusion on an online gambling site with a click of a button (and yet not all sites offer it unfortunately).

For example, you stake (lock) $200 of your crypto, and that's all crypto available for you - then you can't play/gamble/risk it for at least 21 days ... do it 15 times a year time after time, and you would be excluded for a long time.

The only drawback with this method is Atomic doesn't offer this on USDT so some "gamblers" might not like this idea because they trust stablecoins more than other crypto coins, but this is FYI.

Pushing the button to start the staking is where the problem is at, remember that a heart that's filled with the excitement of gambling is already craving to gamble again, it would be different someone else is going to keep pushing that button, but the gambler will still have to make the decision.

I personally do not buy this idea because it depends on the gambler's mind, if he is serious on quitting gambling he or she will do this easily, but if he is the type that has weak mind he won't be able to lock away his money for long, even if he did it once, after the staking period is over he will surely use the fund to gamble.

Like you said, staking is a big problem if you are not using stable coin, because alternative coins are highly volatile, they can lose value so much that when you unstake your whole bag will be worthless, this is the only bad side of staking alts.
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you actually think a Bitcoin ETF will be accepted this month? on: January 07, 2024, 06:42:01 AM
I do think that the ETFs Approval is going to be possible this time around.

Right now, there is ongoing adjustment and amendments that is needed to make the ETFs a success from both the SEC and other regulators, this is the first time since the past year's that such move is been made.

The only thing I don't know is when they will finally approve it, we are expecting the approval this month but no one can say for sure, I read online that the name will also be changed, instead of having BTC related to the name it will be something different, I don't know how genuine is this news.

The good side is the success of Bitcoin doesn't rely on this ETF approval, if it's a no for the ETFs Bitcoin will still survive.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Your Exchange to Wallet Ratio? on: January 06, 2024, 11:14:34 AM
The only Bitcoin I leave on exchange is something I will like to use for trading, I don't like leaving anything on crypto exchanges but due to transaction fee I am now used to leaving some Bitcoin on exchange, not enough to hurt my feelings if anything goes wrong.

I also like looking at mempool to know the exact amount required to send or withdraw some Bitcoin, like yesterday it was just $3 and it's been months that I saw this price range for Bitcoin last, whatever you choose to do always make sure it's worth the transaction fee, either sending or withdrawing off a crypto exchanges.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most logical and profitable game on: January 06, 2024, 10:18:00 AM
I know that basically gambling is based on luck, but we can use tricks or strategies so that we don't spend a lot of money and can still win, even if it's only a small win.

In general, in my opinion, there are several categories of games in gambling such as house edge games, sportsbooks, slot machine games, live casino games, and lottery. In your opinion, which game do you think is the most logical to win? and what is the reason?
You are not making sense, what trick and strategies are you using to avoid spending a lot of money? That's no trick or strategy, it's simply avoiding getting wrecked.

There is no trick you can apply to gambling than you risking what you can only afford to lose, merely understanding what game of luck is all about can safe you a lot of trouble in gambling.

Every gamblers want to make money off gambling, I was like this before and I finally understood that gambling isn't a solution to your money needs, it's all about luck, it's not reliable like a real source of income.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 06, 2024, 09:15:27 AM
There is no guarantee in gambling, anyone telling you that they are expert are fooling you, they are either shilling the casino or they are looking for many followers, just like online streamers use to do.

Gambling experts are not true expert because gambling is luck, there is no expert that can come out and prove how many times they gamble without losing money, it's either they hide their losses or they are lying using a special gambling software to deceive people, in the end they always have many followers.

Follow your own strategy, the only painful mistake you can do is risking too much money or even little amount that you are not ready to lose, predictions are mere predictions, always remember this.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: January 06, 2024, 08:24:41 AM
In terms of casino terms and conditions, I was just lucky because I don't usually enjoy reading them. It looks stressful to begin reading them, until I started seeing reviews online about casinos blocking people if they're accessing them from a location they can't support.

Some online casinos don't even allow VPN too, I have read somewhere online where a guy used VPN and he was blocked off the casino, some Casino will also ask you to pass KYC verification when you want to withdraw a certain amount of money from the casino.

I was lucky to have not broken any rules because I don't use VPN and I accept to always pass KYC first even before I start using the platform to gambling, and later I decide to take my time with Terms and Condition first.
