342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it ethical to break your gambling rules on: February 26, 2024, 04:48:38 PM
Unethical is the wrong word to use here. It would be unethical to break some set of social rules or norms set in place, but when you break your own personal rules that is showing a lack of commitment to follow through with what you had planned.

We set rules, especially with financial implications, to protect ourselves from losses and other risks involved. If we do not follow them through, we run the risk of losing more than we can afford. It may have not worked out that way this time around, but we do not always get lucky.

...but it really begs the question of the FA on just when and how we'll ever get clarity. League table cannot be shifting throughout the season, depending on how clubs react, how they appeal, etc.
Was thinking same when I saw the news and I think the best approach for the clubs in and around the relegation zone is to have a separate table in their lockers with all gained points shown there and they work with that to know how much points they would need to stay afloat. This would mean Everton would have all ten points that were deducted reflecting on that table, putting more pressure on their players to work harder.

I also don't really think this is a fault of the league. Decisions are not set in stone and clubs always would have the right to appeal.

344  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CAN I BUY CRYPTO ON EBAY? on: February 26, 2024, 05:12:03 AM
This may have been possible before, but from 2021[1], they banned the listing of virtual currencies for sale for regulatory reasons most likely. If there is still any market for it, it is breaking the rules and would not be easy to spot for someone who has not sold or bought yet.

345  Economy / Gambling / Re: CryptoFreebie.io - For The Players on: February 26, 2024, 05:06:09 AM
A straight 70% kickback to the player directly and 10% to the CryptoFreebie community.
...
CryptoFreebie keeps only 20% of the crypto currency generated by the players.
How sustainable is a model like this?

A project needs funds to be run, to pay winners, to keep the website active, to advertise and expand. How does this project plan to survive with 20% of revenue generated. It does not seem sustainable to me in the long-run and just seems like a good marketing campaign to get people to register and choose you guys over other casinos.

That was a clear offside from Endo- he obstructed movement, no way VVD was getting close to that. VAR embarrassing picture angle from that Chelsea goal.
That is VanDijk's ball everyday of the week. The Chelsea player that Endo was adjudged to be obstructing was not veb trying to get around him, zero desire to get to the ball, when you compare that with how determined VVD was, he doesn't get close to him at all. It was a ridiculous call which shows the inconsistencies of VAR again. I thought they only called the ref over for "clear and obvious" errors?

For the offside, it's about time the FA moves to semi automated offside decisions.

Another five star performance from the goonerz and another high scoring result for us which takes us again to the top of the goal difference chart. Really wanted another clean sheet but still a brilliant play all round from all the boys.

For all the talk around Karius before the match, he managed to be one of their best players on the pitch.

Watching how United have been playing recently I knew their results and performances were not in resonance and expected them to be undone by a team very soon, I just did not expect it to be Fulham, but a United loss is always a good thing and now they have a GD of 0, I think they have the lowest in the top 10.

Now time to watch the other Manchester team also slip up, hopefully.

I quite understand you. Moderators can be locking those threads without meaning but this thread in question is not without meaning, only that the company/user behind the creation is such of a questionable character.
I did not mention a thread being without meaning, what I pointed out was a redundant thread, which means that there is no more relevant information being discussed there and it has turned into a haven for spammers.

Also, the questionable character doesn't mean they can't still come back for a good purpose and engage the forum better than before.
If they return, they can always request for the thread to be reopened and a mod would grant that.

350  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Korean Crypto Scammers with an American Face on: February 23, 2024, 06:36:02 PM
You would want to read this thread on the Scam report format[1]. It would make your thread more understandable to the readers.
As it is, I cannot make out what scam you are accusing who of.

You have a nice argument but I think the forum doesn't work like that. Countless threads have been created and abandoned by their various OPs in the past and have not been locked till now whether they are good or bad. That's how you should view this too.
It could be because there are so many threads that have become redundant and need to be locked that the mods cannot keep up with them all, rather than it is a norm to allow threads even though the discussion has run out and turned to a spam mega thread.

I have seen the mods lock up threads that do not have any meaningful discussion anymore and if this has been reported, it should be considered the same.

Muslims do not gamble at all, so you can take that off your thread. For the other religions, I do not think anyone should gamble so compulsively that they would need a break from it during religious activities.

I gamble in my spare time and it does not interfere with my day at all.

🇨🇿 Sparta Prague v Liverpool 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
🇫🇷 Marseille v Villarreal 🇪🇸
🇮🇹 Roma v Brighton 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
🇵🇹 Benfica v Rangers 🇬🇧
🇩🇪 Freiburg v West Ham 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
🇵🇹 Sporting v Atalanta 🇮🇹
🇮🇹 AC Milan v Slavia Prague 🇮🇹
🇦🇿 Qarabag v Leverkusen 🇩🇪
Very tough set of fixtures there, here are my predictions:
Liverpool
Marsaille
Brighton
Benfica
West Ham
Atlanta
AC Milan
Leverkusen

I am expecting only 2 of the seeded teams to not make it into the quarter finals.

Sparta Prague it is, could have been worse.
Does it get any better?

I do not think either Liverpool or Leverkusen would get knocked out till they face each other.

He is, but he overstayed for far too long, and he is one of the reasons Arsenal is yet to win anything in Europe( he misused the golden Arsenal team era). He was too conservative, satisfied with finishing in the top4 and being in the shadow of other managers.
On the golden era, firstly it was a team he put together after a slow period at the club and he led us to 7 or 8 glorious years winning 3 EPLs, I think 4 FA cups and other honors with the club, going 49 games unbeaten and reaching the Champions league final as well. Winning in Europe is down to a lot of factors and luck sometimes, but he did not misuse the golden era.

Moving to a new stadium along with financial crisis in '08 put the club in a difficult situation, and we needed conservative management to not get overwhelmed by debt at the time. Arsène Wenger did an incredible job of keeping a club which was drowning in debt afloat and consistent for so long. No other club (except Manchester United at that time) could maintain that level of consistency even if they were spending lots of money and in a good financial situation.
A top 4 finish in 20 unbroken years against managers with huge spending bags was incredible, reason why we needed him for so long.

That's true, I've edited it as suggested, thanks for the observation, the website itself is a phishing site and has the target of doing the same they are talking about...
Tbh, your post is still confusing and still gives off the impression that your are suggesting Ledger is directly promoting a malware, especially the first paragraph.

357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 22, 2024, 04:51:38 PM
That's the Arsene wenger mentality - putting out a weaker first IX for a cup game to focus on the league and end the season trophyless.
Squad depth plays a major factor in how well a manager can maintain the quality of their side for all competitive games. Liverpool can choose between, Salah, Gakpo, Nunez, Jota, Diaz, Elliot. They rotate these guys around for different games and have a very solid side. When you are managing a squad filled with academy players who are still trying to find their feet, then you need to keep your top players as fit as possible.

Arsène Wenger is a legend.

...Normally the coach should not take any such drastic measures but in this context where Liverpool plays for the title and the coach leaves at the end of the season so this can very well happen.
I think that is unlikely. Liverpool have fielded very strong sides for all their matches since the round of 16. Klopp would definitely start his strongest side against Chelsea this weekend.

They would bother about the league when the next match comes around.

A wallet being open source does nit automatically mean that it is recommended for use. One would still have to assess the different options before choosing one to use. Being open source does not prevent phishing links from being generated and marketed to scam unsuspecting users, which is the case here.

...I should start believing it since these people run like monsters, and despite their injuries, they keep winning. Cannot wait for Klopp to leave.
I think the Anfield crowd is what keeps them going most of the times. They are great normally, but at home, they are almost unplayable. That made the 1 point we picked up at Anfield very precious.

May be you break the curse but may be you net another lost game yet I think Liverpool is thinking more about the Premier League trophies so you may have some added chances.
During a final match, nothing else matters to all the players involved, I do not expect any drop in performance.
