Update - I decided to sell my Cardano for XRP for 25% profit.
I feel XRP is only weeks/months away from winning the lawsuit so want a few thousand XRP for when they do as it will pump when they win.
If Cardano falls below $0.25 again then I will buy more then.

One altcoin I bought 2 weeks ago is currently up 85% - how do you resist the urge to sell too soon? I am thinking of taking out half my investment when it reaches 120% but I'm also telling myself not to sell too soon  |

So I went through the third party ‘Eternl’ and having done that it was showing my Cardano was not staked so I informed the customer services on Ledger of this and they told me to try another Third party wallet called Typhon to confirm this.
Again, when checking on Typhon it showed the Cardano I hold is not staked so now I am just waiting got a reply from Ledger to what is now best to do because it is clearly an error that my Cardano is showing as staked on Ledger.
I am wondering if it is safe to send my Cardano from the third party wallet Typhon but I am not sure if it is safe to do so? Can someone confirm if it is ok to send crypto from a third party wallet to Coinbase? I just don’t want my Coinbase account to potentially be affected in anyway.

Hello,
Please accept my apologies for the delayed response.
In regard to your ADA and as Coinbase noted, you cannot send ADA while it is Staked. I am not sure either how your ADA became staked.
ADA staking and unstaking is not supported directly in Ledger Live. You will need to use a third-party ADA wallet to unstake your ADA. Be sure your Ledger Live application is closed when you start the Eternl connection process. Also make sure your Nano is connected to your computer, unlocked with the PIN and the ADA app is open.
When your Ledger is connected to Eternl, click the "Stake" tab and you will be unstake your ADA there. After the ADA is unstaked, you can send to Coinbase.
Let me know if the Eternal set up and unstaking process works or if you have issues.

Hi all ,
I bought my first lot of Cardano last week and sent it to my ledger from Coinbase there was no problem at all.
I went to send back my Cardano to Coinbase yesterday but when doing so it shows I have 0 Cardano.
When I look at my Cardano on Ledger live however it clearly shows the amount I have.
I spoke with someone on Ledger live chat this morning and they are saying I am unable to send my Cardano back to Coinbase as the Cardano I have on Ledger is showing as staked.
I have never staked Cardano so not sure how this is possible. I spoke to someone at Coinbase and they said it is impossible to send Staked Cardano to Ledger and Ledger is saying you cannot stake Cardano on Ledger so I am not sure how my Cardano can be staked.
This has left me confused as to how this has happened and ledger have advised in order to send my Cardano back to Coinbase I must unstake my Cardano through a third party.
I have been using Ledger for around a year now and this is the first time this has happened. Has this happened to anyone else at all or does anyone know how this has happened?

Hello all, thanks for the replies so far.
I am currently holding 12 altcoins, 5 in the top 25 and the majority of the rest in the top 60 with a few outsiders that I am betting a small amount on to do well in the bull run.
I do not have a plan yet for profit taking but thinking the first thing I will do once I 2x my position is to take out half of my investment.
I understand not all altcoins will go back to all time high although I am expecting most of the ones I am holding to do so.
I think once the bull run does come around that I will ladder sell parts of my holdings as the prices go up, I will not try and time the top.

2024/25 will be my first bull run and I have been patiently buying and holding for over a year now.
Just wondering for those who were in the last bull run what it was like and how fast prices pump during the peak bull times?
Any advice on how to prepare when it comes to being ready to take profit?

Next year will be my first bull run and have just been thinking about what will be best to do when it finally arrives next year.
Do you plan on just holding till an amount you are happy with or is it a good idea to try and trade altcoins whilst they are pumping to earn even more?
I don't think that the next bull run is in next year,I think you misunderstood things,the next year is the halving of Bitcoin somewhere in Q2 of 2024 and checking previous history all bull runs have happened almost 1.5 years after the halving passed,so in theory the next bull run should be somewhere in Q4 2025 if history is to repeat itself. It is stupid I think to hold the altcoins in the bull run especially if the altcoins have a great increase in value which would make a nice substantial decent profit that for some people depending on their location this may as well be a life changing event. The peak of the bull run will be around Q4 in 2025 no? The bull run will still have started sometime next year. |

I bought my first 600 Cardano last week at £0.19 as felt it was great price and too good to miss. I am debating if I should buy another 600 soon or wait to see if we fall lower  If all goes well for Cardano it should be a pretty easy 15x from current price next bull run. Why did you choose cardano as an investment? I don't understand what they offer that other projects don't have. It seems to me that it is a dead project that has not done anything worthwhile in such a long time of development. It will take some time and it will be replaced by another newer project. I don't see the point in investing in old projects now. It's better to just save up money to buy something new a little later. Because I have been in crypto 18 months now and a lot of people have been banging on about it and it never interested me but due to the crash thought it was worth an investment. Yes have decided to go with most advice and just hold till the bull run. Everyone has the target for holding till bullrun and we must also have the understanding of which coin to invest and which one to avoid because eventually it may not be all the coins that we see will all partook from this bullrun exercise, some projects will fail along the way and go bankrupt, while some will manage to escape it. I am not experienced trader so don't want to risk losing everything I hold. I don't know the present coin you're holding now but i will advise that you also try to diversify your investment on more than one cryptocurrency investment and try add more fews to reduce the cost cost on loss abd increase your profitability. Hopefully we are only months away from the bull run now as it has been testing my patience lately holding but will continue to do so.
Bullrun will begin next year as we all believed from the past years Halving experience, but before then, we may be on a high volatility on the market, early 2024 within the month of March to May we should expect Halving taking place. I hold many altcoins not just one. Hopefully bull run will start by the end of 2023 |

A lot of talk lately of XRP winning the case in the next few weeks.
May not be weeks but as long as they win it will be great news for not just XRP but crypto in general.
I now have 2000 XRP and am betting on them winning the case which will then see a pump and I will put a lot of the profits into Bitcoin.

I hold Quant but I don’t see or hear many others involved with it so just wondering if anyone else is bullish on it too? I know supply isn't everything but with only 14million it is less than Bitcoin so very scarce I am just hoping it does really well in the coming bull run. If someone could breakdown the above link also and why this is great news for Quant?

I am just feeling my patience being tested today that's all - I have not sold anything at a loss and wont.
Hopefully we only have a few more months of this bear market and things will start to look up.
I started my crypto journey at the worst possible time one week after the Bitcoin all time high so it has just been a long 18 months of buying and holding I am just hoping it pays off next year and 2025.

Hard to say how low it will go. I knew that we were not gonna see big numbers this year, so I don't care. I'm just gonna keep buying it while it's below $30k. If you're feeling bad just don't watch crypto knew and don't watch your portfolio every day, relax and do some other things.
Yeah I have been in crypto 18 months now and it has just been a long 18 months and for the first time feel it testing my patience. I will hold though will not be selling anything and just keep reminding myself 2024/2025 will hopefully be better times for us all. |

I bought the other day and we have seen yet another crash since then it feels like there is so much bad news and FUD at the moment.
I feel like having a break as I am starting to feel we could go close to the lows of last year, not sure if we will go that low but could go close so thinking of waiting until we see at least another 10% drop to buy more.
How is everyone else feeling?

Are you someone who has just entered the crypto space @JamesDaniel90 ?, If not, you should already understand how cycles in the crypto space work. When conditions are good, there will always be news that isn't pleasant to hear (this is part of the cycle), so don't worry. I mean, never mind what happens to $ALGO because of bad news from the SEC. If I were you (and believed in $ALGO), I would start my accumulation at this low price. I'm not really into $ALGO and don't know much there, but I have an article that might help you understand what the future holds for $ALGO.
