Do you have to get others to vote for your miner or can you vote for yourself? How many votes do you need to get for rewards?

I was wondering how you guys back up your seed. I'm not comfortable with having the full seed lying around somewhere.
So far, I've just been backing it up on a piece of paper, but that also makes me a bit uncomfortable. You could back it up onto a few USB drives in an encrypted container perhaps as an alternative. You'd want to use more than one to avoid the chance of hardware failure, etc.

Yep, fake happy is when we put on a mask for others to pretend that we are happy when in reality we aren't.
It is a lot easier to fake being happy then to explain to people that you aren't. Plus no one likes to be around someone that is negative all the time. Although, it is definitely a good idea to find some friends that you can be yourself with and not have to hide your true feelings.

Is MalwareByte trustworthy?
I'm thinking of a serie episode I saw on blackmirror where the guy got a much more worst malware by trying to get ride of a malware
Yes, MalwareBytes is trustworthy and is a good free option for scanning your PC. Eset's NOD32 is also a great antivirus product if you are willing to spend some money. Some other free options include: Trend Micro House Call: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/SpyBot: http://www.safer-networking.org/index2.html

Nope, just found the forum after researching Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as this is one of the most popular places where these topics are discussed.

You should be able to recover the entire wallet using just the seed. You may want to try checking the BIP39 box when entering your seed to check if it was a BIP39 seed if your coins weren't showing up when entering it normally.

Is there a way or workaround to sign a message for an electrum 2fa address? It seems the software doesn't allow it though I would pay the fee to trustedcoins if needed for that.
I have read it might be possible to recreate the address in a normal multisig wallet though I doubt that can be done. If it is possible please let me know how to do it.
Greetings! Sebastian
Edit: Looks like it is generally a problem with multisig because of no real specification about this.
Yeah, it looks like you cannot sign a message from a multisig address. A 2FA wallet is a type of multisig address. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1576803.5 for more information.

Hello,
please help. I need Sign a message Electrum.
I downloaded new version. I have found right option (Sign a message Electrum), have found my address with bitcoin, after the typing a pass I have receive -cannot sing messages with this type of address.
how can I solve this problem?
What type of address are you trying to sign with? I'm guessing that it is a multisig or 2FA wallet that you are attempting to sign with? In that case, I don't think it is possible to sign a message with a multisig address. See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1576803.5

Is my cold wallet (created a couple of years ago with v2.5.4) safe or do I need to take any action? I'd like not to touch my wallet for the long term, but I'm not sure what its destiny, technically speaking, will be after the much awaited event that will occur in August. Should I be worried?
You should be fine leaving them for now. Its still a bit early to see what will happen with the event in August. I think cold wallets should be fine and wouldn't really require action. Its the transferring of coins that you will need to be more concerned about.

0.01421713 was the total amount of bitcoin sent and it was sent to two different addresses. The 0.01 may not have been sent to a change address and may have been part of the original send. You could try going to the console and typing ismine("17WKE5BaPsoFZqFqajMNinBCQCoq3GBMwU") To verify if that address is yours or belongs to another wallet. Your wallet looks like a two factor wallet though so it looks like this was sent to someone else. A little bit more information on how you created the transaction would likely be helpful.

ETH is disabled on Poloniex. You know what? I'm going to double up my investment on NVO today. What the hell. Anything is better than centralized exchanges telling you what you can and cannot do with your own money. They're basically banks without the government backed insurance.
Yeah, a decentralized exchange is definitely needed so we can retain control of our coins and hopefully avoid another Mt Gox type situation.

Thanks for all the help guys. I am trying to create a new wallet and its asking for the seed which I am inputting correctly, but the NEXT button is greyed out.
Any ideas?
Are you trying to create a standard or a 2FA wallet? You cannot create a 2FA wallet using an existing seed for a standard wallet. You will need to create a new seed if you want to use a 2FA wallet now and send the coins from the old wallet to that one.

I use electrum when sending btc and receiving btc. I heard you should not be using the same btc address over and over. is that true or false? If so, how many times max should u use an address?
The reason i ask this is because whenever i receive btc, i always give the site my same btc address. So far in my electrum, i have over 100 transactions with this btc address. This is under the addresses tab, where its in the Change / Used area.
I have one address that shows over 100 transactions. Then there are about 10 addresses that has 1 tx only. I assume tx means transaction. The thing is my bitcoin balance is very small on the address that i have over 100 transactions. Many other address have even less btc on it. However, there are a few addresses that has the bulk of my bitcoin there.
So when i send btc to other people, is the address that is going to show to them always that address that i use that has that 100 plus tx address? If so, should i change it to another address? Or i cannot do this? What is confusing is say i want to send x amount of btc. Where does the btc come from in the balances? Does it first come from the 100 plus tx one? But if theres not enough btc, then it goes to the next one on the list?
Also what confuses me is when i receive btc from a site and give them that address with over 100 tx, then does the btc show up there or in the other 10 other addresses? Because lot of the addresses in the change/used thing shows like 0.02 btc and these are addresses that i have never used in terms of giving that address to receive btc. I only use one btc address that i give sites when receiving btc.
Does it matter that i have over 100 tx on this one? Should i start using another btc address to send so it would be more anonymous? Because having 100 tx for one address is never a good idea right since it could be traced and many ppl say you dont want that?
For example i want to trade some btc for eth or litecoin for example on shapeshift. I read you can do this easily but if i do this, is it anonymous or can it be traced? I read its anonymous but then i always hear ppl say you shouldnt use an address more than once etc. Because for example even though i want to trade btc for eth for example, i definitely want it to be anonymous as i dont want there to be a record of it from shapeshift end. Or is there any a record of it from their end? Thanks.
It is recommended to not reuse the same address over and over again for privacy. You should use a new unique address for each payment for the best level of privacy. The coins come out of whichever input Electrum decides would be the best to use for the payment you are attempting to make unless you specify the payment to come from a specific address. You can do this via the Addresses or Coins tab and right clicking on a specific address or input and choosing to spend from that. The change addresses are where Electrum is sending the left over change when you send payments. Depending on your settings, the change is sent to a new address to help preserver privacy.

ChipMixer started as a mixer with betting function added for increased privacy (it is harder to guess mixer's output if user can withdraw more than they deposited). We have received a lot of positive feedback about betting function and requests for provably fair mechanism.
I can definitely see the added privacy this could add due to changing the amount of outputs and making it harder to trace. Although I'm not sure I'd want to gamble during the mixing process. The only downside is if the coins were somehow associated with gambling after the mixing process but I don't see this being the case due to the mixing process. Therefore there probably isn't any harm in offering the ability to gamble as long as the provably fair mechanism is solid.

Hey Guys, SITE UPDATE 23 JuneToday was a bit technical update. Our Authorization platform was moved from Rails-code to Elixir. Except the obvious 1000% speed improvements we are now able to move the rest codebase to Elixir. Which will profoundly increase speed, responsiveness, stability. But that's not all. This move allowed us to separate user accounts and secret-seed work from the rest codebase and we expect to join new developers soon who will work on the site without access to sensitive information. And there's gonna be a real HUGE update soon. Regards, Alex Great update! I was out of track for sometime and when I got back a nice update is what I seen. I am excited to see this "huge update soon". I feel the rush to login to the site and test that 1000% speed improvement. I bet I will enjoy the game more in this update ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I can't wait to see the chat code updated to Elixir and hope that makes the chat nice and speedy as well ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

It should be fine. You should just double check that it is running the stock firmware if it has the option to use a 3rd party firmware as some of them do. Other than that I don't think you have much to worry about.

I followed the steps. Now when running Electrum, it asked me to enter the password from Trezor, but after I did this, Electrum gave me: "Electrum cannot pair with your Trezor. Before you request bitcoins so be sent to the addresses in this wallet, ensure that you can pair with your device, or that you have it's seed... etc" EDIT: All this started when Electrum Mac asked me to split my wallet into 2 wallet files, now I can't connect any of them ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) Your USB cable or your USB port on your computer is going bad. Try it on another computer. You can have the same Trezor wallet with on mutiple computers. No, Trezor works perfectly, USB cable/port as well. I can open other Electrum wallets, just not this specific one that was split into 2 when updating Electrum What do you mean the wallet was split into 2? Electrum shouldn't split your wallets as far as I know. Is that wallet a multisig address perhaps?

Hello, in the last couple of days I had a problem with my electrum wallet (see link at the end), it didn't synchronized after I've sent BTC from lykke app, the only thing helped was to open a new wallet and sweep the coin in to the new wallet. This happened to a friend of mine and to another guy here, we all had the synchronization problem after sending BTC from lykke, is this just a coincidence? or do you have any explanation? link to my first thread describing the problem and solution https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1976559.0It is very likely just a coincidence. It shouldn't matter where you receive your coins from and that really shouldn't affect Electrum's ability to sync. The only way that would have is if lykke is doing something non-standard in the transaction that Electrum doesn't currently know how to handle, but I highly doubt this is the case.
