341  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are newbies afraid to comment on threads of highly ranked members? on: January 29, 2024, 04:03:40 PM
I m new here. I have heard about crypto and bitcoin and am trying to get knowledge from legendary people like this forum. At last I m here for more details and try to communicate with senior legendary leader and members. So my humble request please co operate me to gather more knowledge.

Welcome to the forum. Of course, senior members will help you learn more about Bitcoin and crypto currency. But beware that not all legendaries are knowledgable enough to teach more about technical things. If you want basic learning, you could create a thread in this section and ask others what you want to know about crypto and Bitcoin.

But, before doing that, you could search and see if there are any existing threads here. The final thing you should know is, do not deal people with negative feedback on their profile until you understand why they got it. Do not share your seed phrase with anyone. No matter who it is. Do not install software from unknown sources.
342  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who is top bitcoin competitor? on: January 28, 2024, 08:49:14 AM
Nobody knows what is going to happen in the future. But, I do not consider any cryptocurrency as a competitor of Bitcoin. Bitcoin alone still dominates more than 50% of the total market and almost every coins move according to the Bitcoin pattern. Bitcoin is become popular because it's decentralized and gains the trust of the community.

If a new decentralized coin appears, it will take a long time for it to get popularity like Bitcoin. Don't you think there are similar coins like Bitcoin? I guess there could be a better coin, but then again, they are not popular for some reason.
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You must have a source on: January 28, 2024, 08:38:18 AM
Understandable; thank you for making it clear. From your initial post along with the loan request, you were passing this vibe. Excuse me for misunderstanding and making assumptions. Anyway, I only wanted to point out the significance of budgeting and separating your cryptocurrency investments from your fiat money. A case similar to what you first described wouldn't be the first one we'd hear in the forum. The validity of these stories remains unclear, but it was a common occurrence to read similar cases from newbies on the forum; I remember reading quite a few during the bear market approximately a year ago.

Usually, I do not invest all my savings in Bitcoin. I always keep some stablecoins and fiat money for emergencies. My average income is well enough for me and my family. But, you should look at the reason I already told you. I guess nobody wants to miss the bull run. I have lost some money in the past because of my own mistake. I wanted to be early on the market and my average buying price is 27K.

So, I consider my investment to be great so far. I will take some profit during the bull run and everything will be okay. I didn't even know that I was going to start a business. Suddenly, I found a store that is for sell and I don't want to miss this chance as well. So yeah, that's where I am right now.

345  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Spam Emails pretending to be OpenSea on: January 27, 2024, 02:31:53 PM
Such Phishing emails have drastically increased in the last couple of months. The very recent event is that Trezor's 3rd party support center account was compromised and the hacker now has approximately 66000 Trezor users' email and their nicknames. The users started receiving fake emails from the hackers and are trying to scam the Trezor users. Some of the forum members also received such emails from the hackers.

So, where ever you have used your email, either their email list was compromised or they sold user emails on the black market. Also, you may have published your email on the internet. It's scary that hackers are getting access to such important platforms like the Wallet support center.

BTW, Please resize the images, bro. It does not look good at all.
346  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please Help on: January 27, 2024, 02:26:24 PM
Are there actually amy legit AI Generated Trading Platforms or am I just been really nieve?

Sorry for your loss but there is no such thing. All the platforms that claim that their AI will generate profit from trading using their AI, are just another version of a ponzi scheme. They will ask you to deposit an amount and you will start making money every day based on how much you have invested. Most of the time, they show you profit results and sometimes they show loss results because they want make it look like real trading. But, unfortunately, it's just a trick to fool people. A couple of months ago, over a billion dollars has been scammed by a company named MTFE and most of their clients were Asian. Here is the scam accusation thread I have created a couple of months ago - Ponzi Trading Platform MTFE Collapse || $1 Billion scammed

348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You must have a source on: January 27, 2024, 01:18:25 PM
Well, that was wrong on your part. I'm guessing you bought too much Bitcoin without considering your budget, or there's something else you're not telling us, such as a decrease in your income for whatever reason. Despite what it is, you should always have a backup plan, or at least some savings in fiat currency. Having all your money on Bitcoin makes no sense. This is the point of this thread: it's almost impossible to acquire Bitcoin if you don't have a steady source of income, preferably multiple, but one also works if you're budgeting correctly.

Unfortunately, if you're currently struggling, I'd suggest you sell at a price that you deem reasonable, because I read your loan request and I'll have to disappoint you, but no one is going to fund your loan with no interest, especially to some stranger on the internet. Otherwise, I'd suggest you to look for any possible way to acquire a secondary source of income.

Let me clear it further. I am not struggling. My income is stable and I could be still okay without selling my Bitcoin and I would be able to manage my family expenses from my monthly earnings. The problem is, I have invested all my savings in Bitcoin and some other alts as well because we all know that the bull run is ahead and nobody want to miss that.

But, I have a plan to start a new business. We all know that it's not possible to open a business with a one month salary or income. So, I need a couple of thousand USD to start my business and I am glad to let you know that I have already manager large part of my initial investment without selling my Bitcoins. I hope I would be able to run my business within a couple of weeks.

HelliumZ, cryptoWODL, Bitcoin_people, Fuso.hp, roksana.hee, LDL, BD Technical, Synonyms, Spark22, Suzume, BD Crypto, আপনারা কই ভাই? আপনারা কি ফোরামেই ইনএকটিভ হয়ে গেছেন? নাকি বাংলাদেশ থ্রেডের প্রয়োজনীয়তা শেষ হয়ে গেছে?
350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Trezor users are receiving fake emails with phishing links. on: January 26, 2024, 08:49:22 AM
It's not just fake Trezor emails. Now there are also fake MetaMask emails from the hackers asking you to turn on 2FA:

Oh bro, Let me laugh first.
I don't know if you have published your website on many platforms or what is the main traffic source of your website. But, If the hacker is from Bitcointalk and knows who is the owner of that website, I wonder why he would even waste his time sending you an email to your website email. I don't think we use our website emails to open an account on some exchange or other services.

Most of the website owners use their website emails to handle business emails like sending proposals or to receive proposals and suggestions. LOL. What makes him think that a person like NotATether could fall for their scam?
351  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: CPFP: what infos are needed from the payer on: January 26, 2024, 08:35:56 AM
You are right, if the sender does an RBF on the transaction then it means the first transaction is invalid because nodes will have replaced the transaction with the new one and the receiver can’t do a CPFP on that particular transaction again. As for the balance in don’t understand what you meant but it wasn’t even added at first instance.

It wasn't added as a confirmed balance. If you use Electrum, as soon as the new transaction shows in your history, the amount also gets added to your balance but it remains unconfirmed. I don't have any unconfirmed transactions at this moment, so, I am unable to show you any screenshots at this moment. But, it adds the amount to your balance even with zero confirmations.

Okay, I did a Google search and found a screenshot that could give you some idea.

In this screenshot, the guy received 0.12807mBTC and it's still unconfirmed. But it is showing in the balance that he can do CPFP if he wants.
352  Other / Meta / Re: Campaign to improve posting quality for local boards on: January 26, 2024, 08:24:21 AM
This is a good statement. Every local board have their unique problems, sometimes these problems are related to the other and all points to low quality discussion. Since each local board has their unique problems, I believe there are also unique solutions to the locals problems.

Yes. Our thread has some problems too which I mentioned in a couple of threads before. Whenever people see a member from Bangladesh, they think either it's an alt account or a bounty cheater. There are several reasons behind it. Some members were caught cheating in the campaign. Almost 40% of bounty hunters are from Bangladesh and when they discover things like AI, they start to use it without understanding anything. Bangladeshi people who do bounty aren't well in English. Otherwise, they would start contributing to the global boards as well.

The main problem was copy-pasting the news and merit abuse in our thread. A lot of members leave the local thread once they rank up. I am glad that I was the person who alone threatened 12 members in a single post and then suddenly the abuse stopped in our thread. Some of them already left our thread because they have achieved what they wanted. They just used our local community and fooled us.

The abuse is still going on in some mega threads. They send merits to their alts in mega threads where no one notices. I wish someone like Lauda came up and left red tag everywhere. Only then those fu*ckers would stop.
353  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: CPFP: what infos are needed from the payer on: January 25, 2024, 04:10:32 PM
I didn't get your question. I am kinda confused. If you meant, what info do you need to know from the sender before you use CPFP, The answer is nothing. Make sure they won't use RBF to change the address before you use CPFP. Otherwise, the transaction will disappear from your history and the balance will be deducted as well. I could be wrong BTW.

The mempool is congested. So, You should check how many inputs and outputs the tx has. If it contains too much input and output, you may have to pay a large transaction fee which everyone wants to avoid. I don't know what other security problem you could face.
354  Economy / Reputation / Re: The SportsBet.io Gang on: January 25, 2024, 10:20:49 AM
All of them are Sportsbet employee and you cannot complain about what they would do with their own earned merits. I don't know about LFC if he is working with SportsBet or not, but I assume he works with them as well. Only LFC is a merit source among them and the rest are the general users like us. LFC mostly spent his merits on those threads and don't forget that he spent his merits on the Wall observer thread as well. If you check my merit history, You will notice that I received 20 merits last week from LFC, and non of my posts were in those mentioned threads. This means, he often visits other threads and looks for a good post to dump his sMerits. Now, If forum admins allows him to spent his merits in a thread where he works for the company, you should not complain about it. This is not against forum rules. Prove me wrong if you can.
355  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor's 3rd-Party Support Portal was Hacked on: January 25, 2024, 10:06:30 AM
Even though they have regained access to their support center, the hacker still has a chance to use email spoofing and send emails to those Trezor users and try various hacking attempts like sending malware and asking them to download, or asking them to use new web portal which could be phishing and numerous more methods they may try. There are still a few percentage of people who might believe those emails and try those things.

This is exactly what has started to happen now. Check this thread for more information
[Warning] Trezor users are receiving fake emails with phishing links.. We knew from the beginning that if a hacker had the list of the users, he would make various scam attempts including sending emails and asking them to do various things. In this case, the hacker sends users an email to upgrade their network, otherwise, the users will lose their funds. LOL. What a lame excuse! I wish no one falls for this scam attempt. But as I said, we will never know if some average Joe who has a Trezor wallet may fall for this scam. I hope everyone stays safe and does not fall for it.
356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Trezor users are receiving fake emails with phishing links. on: January 25, 2024, 09:58:53 AM
@Learn bitcoin was right on what he said below.
This was my basic assumption. If hackers get a list of specific service users, I am sure they will try to trick them. Approx 66000 users' data were leaked from the hack. But, how many of them are aware that their data has been stolen? Almost 90% of them don't know that their data has been stolen and they may face some critical threats. This is unfortunate. Even though Trezor started to give warnings to their users, yet there will be users who may fall for those phishing scams.

Quote
Well it's good to let people know about this current situation, I'm not a trazor user but I'm always concern in knowing all this kind of event because in less than no time I will purchasing a hardware wallet and will not want to face this kind of risk using them.
You should have some basic understanding of how social engineering works and how phishing works. When a user open their wallet for the first time, it says never share your seed phrase and the private key with anyone. That include Trezor or any other wallet providers as well.
357  Other / Meta / Re: Campaign to improve posting quality for local boards on: January 25, 2024, 09:40:34 AM
It's still work in progress, as far as I understand, since LB asked his community members to come up also with ideas for improving posts quality and he will add later such ideas to his post. However, the translation is made and he pointed some good things there for obtaining more quality inside his local board. I take this opportunity to congratulate him for doing this translation, which is not an easy one. Thank you LB!

Thank you very much, dear GazetaBitcoin.
Yes, I have asked my community to share how we could improve our post quality. If they have any different ideas, I will add them to the OP. Each local board may have unique problems, and we had some unique problems too. Our locals used to mention users unnecessarily which is too bad. They are experts in copy-pasting as well. I have added those points as well.

Nice to see we have 2 more translations available.  Smiley
Shootout to @Learn Bitcoin and @cygan for your contributions!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And important point, maybe @Learn Bitcoin can still add the commonly recognized rules as cygan did below his topic.
Would be enough to edit the post and add it below a horizontal rule.  Smiley
Thank you 1miau. Yeah, I have edited my post and added the commonly recognized rules. Thanks again.
আমি একটি বিষয় যোগ করতে চাই সেটা হচ্ছে আমরা নতুন অনেকেই আছি যারা পোষ্টের মধ্যে ইমেজ যুক্ত করতে চাই বা যুক্ত করি। তাদের মধ্যে অনেকে ইমেজের উচ্চতা বা প্রস্থ সঠিকভাবে ব্যবহার করতে পারে না।
তাই সবার উচিত সঠিক পরিমাপ অনুযায়ী পোষ্টের মধ্যে সঠিকভাবে ইমেজ যুক্ত করার চেষ্টা করা।
ধন্যবাদ। আমি যখন পোস্ট লিখতে বসেছিলাম, তখন এটা আমার মাথায় ছিলো। কিন্তু লেখার সময় আবার ভুলে গিয়েছি। মনে করিয়ে দেয়ার জন্য ধন্যবাদ। ইমেজ এড করার জন্য ওপরের বিডি অফিসারের পোস্ট টি সুন্দর একটা উদাহরণ হতে পারে। ঠিক এরকম কিছু পোস্ট নিয়েই এই মাস শেষে ইনফরমেটিভ পোস্ট আরকাইভ বানিয়ে ফেলবো যেখান থেকে নতুন বা পুরাতন সবাই উপকৃত হতে পারে।
দুই দিন আগে পোস্ট করেছিলাম যে ট্রেজর ওয়ালেট এর সার্ভিস সেন্টার হ্যাক হয়েছিলো। যার ফলে প্রায় ৬৬০০০ হাজার ব্যাবহারকারীর ইমেইল এবং তাদের নাম চুরি হয়ে যায়। গতকাল থেকে সেই ব্যাবহারকারীরা ফিসিং ইমেইল পেতে শুরু করেছে। আমাদের থ্রেড এর কেউ যদি ট্রেজর ওয়ালেট ব্যাবহারকারী হয়ে থাকেন, আর ২০২১ সাল থেকে ২০২৪ এই সময়ের ভেতরে তাদের সাপোর্ট এ ইমেইল করে থাকেন, তাহলে আপনিও এরকম ইমেইল পেতে পারেন। সবাইকে সতর্ক থাকার পরামর্শ রইলো।
🚀 Introducing BitChanger - Easy and Secure Crypto Exchange
Hi BitChanger!
Welcome to the Bitcointalk forum.
I see you have made two posts and both are the same. Which violates one of the forum rules. You cannot duplicate your post. You should make some changes in your posts so you can post them in different sections.
However, You have posted this on the wrong board. This currency exchange section is for forum users who want to exchange between users. The correct section for Exchanges is this board >>  Exchanges. To move your thread to Exchange board, scroll down to this thread and check bottom left corner. You will find the move topic button.
I suggest you buy a copper membership and design an ANN banner so you can attract users.
