341  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: March 04, 2024, 10:59:18 AM
It's not too late.  Start slow and anyone can make a difference.  You have to believe that first.
This statement is true, starting slow and not trying to compete with others or trying to achieve what others have achieved is not ideal, we have different body system and we are stronger than each other so sticking to what will cause you pain all in the name of imitating others is not ideal.

My first day of joining this challenge I thought it was how i used to do push ups back then bug my inconsistency and and laziness has made the push up to have effect on me, the first day i was able to manage 100 push ups which was spread out in 3 (40, 30, 30). Little did i know that it will have effect on my body because it has been long i did push up. When i woke up the next morning i woke up with body pains, my hands were hurting and heavy that i could barely lift them. With all the pains i didn’t want to give up on my challenge so i since i couldn’t meet up my 100 push up goal i reduced to 60 push ups a day (20,20,20) i feel much better now and i am already on the verge of increasing gradually with a pace my body can handle.

I now understand that it is not a competition and we are not obligated to do 100 pushups but rather it’s a challenge to keep fit while anticipating the rise of bitcoin so understanding your body and not overworking it is important.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which player are you? on: March 04, 2024, 07:04:01 AM
Do you prefer games where you know right away whether you've won (or lost) casino style, or do you prefer other games like sports betting? Do you have any other favorite games?
Sports betting is my favorite game to gamble on because i have much more knowledge on them than any other casisno games. There are variety of sports to choose from but i prefer Football, Basketball, Boxing and cricket. I have come to realize that it is not about the number of games you participate in but the ones that will increase your chances of winning so it doesn’t matter if it’s just a few or one game if it will increase your chances sof winning then it’s totally okay to stick to them.

Sports betting being my favorite doesn’t mean I don’t try out other casino games, i try them out but not often sometimes i win sometimes i lose but i think my lose percentage is higher than my winning thats why i prefer sports betting.
343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Try to stick to your instincts as a gambler on: March 03, 2024, 10:12:13 PM
Today i decided to try one of my sweet predictions in the EPL games. So, i predicted in 4 matches and placed my net. However, during this time i watched my games played so well but two games were holding it and i felt i would lose this game. It was already 83 minutes and i needed these games to play at 87 minutes i gave up and decided to cashout the amount i used to stake since it was the amount that was showing there. I thought it was clear and instead of losing i should rather just get my money back. Just in 15 minutes after i checked the live score and found out that the game played. I felt so angry and unhappy because i have not trusted my instincts if not i wouldn't have cashed out at that time.

Sometimes cashing out is good and will favor you but sometimes it will no go in your favor. The cash out feature is useful to stop loss but in gambling it is not over until the the final whistle has been blown.

If you ask me i would say the cash out button is really not that helpful since when betting you already assume the money you staked to be gone and to me it is worth taking the risk so there is no need to try getting your money back. It is painful when you cashed out and in the end your predicted games becomes a success so that’s why I don’t consider the cash out feature.

I don’t make the mistake of cashing out my games again ever since i made a mistake and cashout a potential win of close go 150k NGN and got a little amount not knowing that the game will come through. When i stake a game and i feel pressured about it win i just stop following up the game and if i eventually lose i will accept it as my fate.

For a moment I really believed that United will actually win the game with just 1 shot towards the goalie but as soon as 2nd half started , City was on a rampage looking to actually demolish this United team for playing a false football. Now , the pressure moved on Arsenal to win and remain alongside Liverpool and City for EPL title fight.  Smiley
Very disappointing performance from Manchester United, i also thought they could win the match because i missed the first 20 minutes and after seeing Manchester United take an early lead i thought they were playing well and rushed out to watch the match and i was disappointed with the way they were playing, they lacked confidence with the ball and lost almost every ball at their feet. From seeing their performance i just knew they couldn’t win the game anymore, if Manchester City sees too much of the ball they will keep pressing and pressing until they get  the goal and that was what happened in the second half.

Excellent first goal from Foden, he gave the keeper no chance. Foden was excellent in the match, he scored two goals again and he is like a nightmare for United’s defenders. Haaland was also able to increase his goal tally as he scored the last goal from a defensive error. It was a brilliant overall performance from Manchester City they played well and deserved to win.
345  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A little ignorance and you can lose all your holdings on: March 03, 2024, 03:24:04 PM
I kind of think this too, that this story seems not Real, how someone would be this reckless with such an amount of Bitcoin 276, well, if at all this is true, then the victim didn't take security seriously before investing in Bitcoin, is not a matter of owing any amount of Bitcoin, one thing is owing Bitcoin and the other thing is about the security, and if we don't take the security of investment in Bitcoin seriously, it is just as good as owing nothing in Bitcoin Because we could wake up one day and all our investment is gone just as this scenario by the OP, and we would lose everything.
The story doesn’t actually seem right but there are actually some few careless people who are careless with almost everything, or it could be due to the fact that they didn’t buy them wiith their hard earned money so they don’t actually know the value of it or they bought it so cheap and never believed it would be worth this much in a few years. Some people lost their coins after carelessly dumping their wallet and recovery phrase and after some time they start to realize how much there coins are worth and start to think of ways to recover their lost wallets and coins, only few are lucky to recover their coins and most people fail to recover their wallet and lose all their assets.

The earliest set of people who were lucky to own bitcoin when the price was low didn’t actually take security seriously, since it was not worth much and they didn’t know in a few years it would be a very valuable asset they took it as a joke and didn’t care if they lose it because it was nothing as at that time. Maybe this was what happened to the person in OP’s story, he probably didn’t know it would be worth a fortune in a few years and misplaced his seed phrase and security keys and lost access to the bitcoins.

Security is now a vital part of owning a bitcoin because of its current value, no one can afford to lose even one bitcoin not to talk of 276 bitcoins.
346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin proven many times holders won't regret on: March 02, 2024, 04:22:58 AM
If we see the history of Bitcoin, then it's pretty easy to see how Bitcoin recovered its price. It would take time to recover, but eventually it did. So at the end of the day, holders don't need to be regretful. I am talking about Bitcoin, not about any other altcoin. Because even though the Bitcoin price has recovered, many altcoins haven't recovered yet. Even those who bought Bitcoin at the top in the last bull run, I believe they are almost recovered. If they are still holding, they will be in profit within a couple of months. Bitcoin has given us a costly lesson that holders won't regret. We should take that lesson and keep it in mind for the future.
I have never witnessed a bull run before and I don’t know how the price moves during a bull run but experiencing this rapid increase in such a short period have increased my belief and confidence that bitcoin will definitely go beyond the ATH price in a few months or weeks hopefully. This is the period where holders will benefit and their long awaited bull run seems to have kicked off, we don’t know how long it would last but it is predicted to reach a new ATH.

Those who bought during the bear market will surely make more profit than people who bought due to fear of missing out during the last bull run at a higher price, if a new ATH is is reached soon they will be also be in profit, this is the reason why it is advisable to buy when the price is low so as to be able get more profits because no matter how low it falls in price the price will always bounce back.

P/S: Don't hold your bitcoins in online accounts.
Reminder: do not keep your money in online accounts
By now Bitcoin holder should be able to know that online wallets and custodial wallets are not the best options to store their bitcoins as it is exposed to hack and theft. This is not a thread about wallet choice and it’s security but it is worth reminding those who might lack the knowledge about best wallet choice when holding for a long time to safeguard their assets.
347  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 02, 2024, 02:55:16 AM
When you have one or more children, you have heavy responsibilities. Sometimes you're on a tight budget. Can being a parent change our playing habits? Are losses even harder to bear when you're in charge of a family? What are your experiences in this area?
Being a father comes with so many responsibilities and sometimes the pressure one feels may let someone forget about playing games and gambling for a while. The case might be different for separate individuals especially those with addiction issues, some people might choose gambling over their families due to the addiction problem and we have seen cases where gambling causes problems to marriages and end up breaking down the marriage.

A person who barely makes enough for himself and his family should avoid engaging in gambling until he is stable and able to control things financially in the family, and even at that he should be able to control himself and only gamble casually and not often. Gambling can be beneficial and at the same time it can be harmful so we should avoid gambling more often to prevent addiction.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: March 01, 2024, 07:08:03 PM
If a club doesn't fight harder, the relegation zone becomes a spot to deal with. Brentford will hosts Chelsea this weekend at their home ground stadium. An important win for Chelsea because they have no good records against the home team but fighting harder wouldn't do any significant pressure. Brentford have suffered crucial defeats in their previous games and this have become a thing to worry about. The Bees headcoach, Thomas Frank will become an ultimate pillar for the club, he's not responding nicely to the present condition of the club.
Brentford have been poor recently losing 3 games in a row and they have fallen on the table, they are just a 5 points away from the relegation zone so they need to approach this match with a winning mentality else they will soon find themselves on the relegation zone. They have a good record against Chelsea recently so they might actually have an advantage against Chelsea because they have not lost any of their last 4 matches against Chelsea with 3 wins and 1 draw which is a good thing but that is no guarantee that they will win this time around. Chelsea are not so good with underdogs and they lack inconsistency but they cannot be underrated so both teams are likely to win. Brentford can fight harder so they don’t get relegated, they started the season well and they can still bring back the spirit of winning.
349  Economy / Economics / Re: If being a graduate is the key to being wealthy, why are there poor graduates? on: March 01, 2024, 01:42:56 PM
Well it's not basically about being educated or graduating with the best grades that makes you wealthy, it's about determination, being consistent and also persistent cause success and wealth are not achieved in one day or immediately after graduating. In as much as you have good grades, you must still improve your skills, not only job skills, marketing or management skills but your critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Being educated and having high grades doesn’t guarantee anything, it doesn’t mean you will be wealthy and all, to be wealthy and successful there are lots of qualities one must instill in themselves to achieve this, it takes more than just good grades, it requires lots of hard work, sacrifices, risk and determination to succeed. Building ones business is not easy at all as there are those moments one would experience losses and face some challenges but that shouldn’t weigh us down.

School is essential but most times there are people who are too carried away with their degree or certificate and they are too boost about themselves. When you rely on your certificate you get loosed and keep waiting for white scholar jobs but those who made lower credit or second class can actually rely on their skills. Skills is what keep those that doesn't have a good certificates or those who doesn't go school, that is why you see them putting more efforts to work hard to make sure their skills pays them off than their certificate since they can't use to secure a credible work or what can put food on their table.
You are right, educated people get carried away by their certificate and educational achievements and feel too big to settle for ordinary jobs, they are so fixated on having a white collar job because those are the people who are respected more in the society. They don’t know that there is more opportunity in having a skill and being your own CEO than working for someone, when you work for someone you get used by the person and all the growth of the company is in favor of the person.

Having good grades is good and beneficial but it doesn’t guarantee anything as you will have to struggle just like others to get work especially in my country though you are at a higher advantage than those having lower grades.

Al-Hazm is not a strong opponent in theory that can steal points from Al-Nassr and Al-Nassr know that they must win this match to continue their hope of racing and catching Al-Hilal. Their squad is on fire and it's big surprise if Al-Nazm will be able to break Al-Nassr winning streak.
This have now shown that a team cannot be underestimated, despite their current position of being the last on the table they were able to challenge in form Al Nassr and they got a point after a fine performance from them. You mentioned that they are not capable of getting a point but they proved you wrong that this is football and anything is likely to happen. I expected more from Al Nassr even at the fact that Ronaldo was absent they should have easily won the game but they failed and even conceded a goal at stoppage time to make the scoreline 4-4.

It seems without Ronaldo Al Nassr will find it difficult to win games because this match have already proven that.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 29, 2024, 09:29:01 PM
If Man City loses to Liverpool, it won't be that big of a difference in points. There are still other matches to chase points. Man City wants to repeat their success last season. I don't think there will be any reason to rest their best squad. at least they will ensure superiority and will replace players to maintain the squad's fitness.
Man City's next few matches will be quite important. they feel they are facing quite strong teams. they have to prepare many fighting strategies.
Every match is crucial in this title race especially the ones they are playing against each other, the match against themselves are the most decisive ones so any club that loses will be short in point. Of course there are other matches that they can chase points from but remember as the league draws to an end every team seem to become serious and teams in the bottom table become difficult to win because they are all fighting for points in order to escape relegation.

I don’t think there would be any need to rest players because players are all trained for such situations of match congestion so they should be able withstand the stress. Liverpool are currently experiencing injury crisis at the moment so it should be easy for Manchester City to capitalize on this opportunity now that most of their key players would not be available. The team now relies on their academy players to survive, the boys have been doing well but they are no match for Manchester City.
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 29, 2024, 01:39:39 PM
Juventus are far behind the league leaders Inter Milan with 12pt difference and to me I'd say this league is far from over. We can't have any team as it is to make Inter Milan drop out in the title, is similar to what Napoli did last season and on Inter path I'd say they can't lose any game till the end of the season only if they have a crucial game in the champions league. Losing a game is never going to happen but if you say Inter can draw like 2-3 games I'd agree but losing the whole 3pt is not possible, they should just give it to Inter because they did very well this season to get that title.

12 points is far too much to cover, Juventus should just give up already because from the look of things Inter Milan doesn’t look like a team that will throw away this lead. Their performance seem to be getting even better and better and i like the fact that they are not taking any opponent lightly and i am more impressed by their goal scoring ability so it is fair to say 12 points is enough for Inter to win this league. They league is still a bit far and there are still matches to play but Juventus doesn’t seem like a team confident to challenge them despite the gap between them.

353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: February 28, 2024, 03:22:47 PM
The EPL title race this season is having a very sweet format as we’re having 3 clubs on the run for this title and they’ve got similar point. Not just similar points, but also very close Goal Differences and these are factors in determining who wins the league. Well many persons aren’t real considering Arsenal as an option because of how the club slipped during the cause of last season. That’s one major reason why me also have this fear that they might not be able to keep up and maintain standard till around April/May.
I so much love how the season is going and how 3 teams are battling their way to the trophy, we still have a long season ahead so it is not certain if some of these teams can keep up but I believe as the league progresses we will have at least two teams fighting till the very end.

The three teams look strong at the moment and with the way it is going none of them is thinking of slowing down now so they would approach all matches with utmost seriousness. I also don’t believe Arsenal is up to the task to challenge Manchester City and Liverpool but with the current list of Liverpool’s injury have made me believe Arsenal more and i now think Liverpool might fall off for a while until the injured players are back.

If Arsenal should be the one team left to challenge City then i think Manchester City will still lift another trophy again because i am not convinced with Arsenal’s squad especially the fact that they don’t have a quality striker that will give them goals.
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 28, 2024, 01:49:01 PM
The FA-CUP game will give Manchester City a lot of motivation for the Premier League. They have to play Manchester United this Sunday.
This match is very important for Manchester City, even though they are the favorites, especially Manchester United in the last few meetings have always had difficulty beating City and also United are in doubt again after previously showing good progress because their young striker consistently scored goals but now is currently suffering from an injury, but United is still cannot be underestimated because United is targeting to get into the top four so resistance from United will be troublesome for City, and despite City big win over Luton's in the FA Cup, City in the English Premier League is actually in not very good condition as Haaland hasn't scored in the last three games, and City only scored three goals in the last three matches, so there are indeed things that are different for City when they play in the FA Cup and in the English Premier League, and my prediction is that United has a chance of getting 1 point in this match.
Manchester United will be an easy challenge for Manchester City on Sunday because, for the past years, Manchester United has been finding it hard to win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. If Manchester United perform the way they did against Fulham at Old Trafford, the job will be so easy for Manchester City.
I don’t think it will be an easy game for Manchester City because in recent games Manchester United seem to have improved recently in their game play and now that Hojlund seems to have found himself in the league now is something to worry about so Manchester City cannot lose guard in this game. It is a derby match so we can’t expect it to be easy even if Manchester City ends up winning i believe it will be a very tough match as usual.

Now that Haaland and Hojlund have now found form It will be very interesting to see the two of them battle it out to prove who is better among themselves. It’s obvious that Hojlund can do more with the ball at his feet than Haaland but Haaland is more clinical in my opinion and with De Bruyne and Manchester City team Haaland has more advantage to win the battle and score more goals in the match than Hojlund. I love them both and will love to see the two of them on the scoresheet.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: February 28, 2024, 07:42:03 AM
Who's in?!?!?
I’m in!

I just came across this post today and i feel like i have been missing a lot all these while since the start of this challenge. i think maybe bitcoin hitting $100k is speculation especially as no one knows how soon it will happen but i am so interested in this challenge because i am a person who loves push ups. Although since the start of this year i have been so busy, lazy and carried away that i have not been able to carryout my normal routine of push ups but seeing this challenge now will definitely be a good help and motivation to start my pushups routine all over again. I hope i am not late in this challenge starting today.

100 push ups down today which was split into 3 sets of 40, 30, 30.
I just noticed I couldn’t go 60 straight as i used to due to my laziness of recent but i know in 2-3 days i will be back to my full capability.

I also prefer doing push-ups on my knuckles as I think it saves my wrists from a lot of stress.
I also feel more comfortable doing push-ups on my knuckles, i feel more in control and it saves me more energy.

357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good or bad idea saving every penny on crypto stable coins on: February 27, 2024, 05:19:40 PM
Best to just hold Bitcoin since from your explanation,  interest generation is your main goal,  this is very important and for sure there are a lot of limitations with stable coins
I don’t think he is ready to take the risk as investing in bitcoin could go either way and I don’t think he is ready to run at loss so saving up in bitcoin is not ideal for him/her. It will depend if he wants to save up for a long time or a short period and if it’s not money he would need for his daily activities.

Sometimes I begin to imagine instead of transferring my money into the bank to keep for a number of days or months before usage in form of savings that nothing will add up instead it remains stagnant or the bank charges me even more. Is it not better I save them on a stable coin such as the USDT?

Please what's your opinion on this?
You need to understand that USDT is a stable coin that is pegged with dollar price so if you are a US citizen then there is no use saving in USDT because the value will still be the same but it can be profitable when you are from a different country where your country’s currency value is less than the dollar value. Take for instance The dollar rate comepared to my country’s currency Naira keeps increasing with time so a Nigerian saving in USDT can be profitable.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will AI Take over the Position of VAR? on: February 27, 2024, 12:31:34 PM
It is true that VAR have been making some errors lately but what do we expect? VAR simply stands for Video Assistant Referee which comprises of some set of people who assist the referee to review some decisions and so on, so since we know that humans are the ones that assist the referee then mistakes and errors are bound to happen because no one is perfect. Some decisions are very difficult to assess despite using VAR to review them and it seems only AI can be perfect to make perfect decisions on tight situations just like the Goal line technology.

AI would be the perfect solution to put an end to all this drama because no human can be perfect as AI. People will not say some clubs are being favored anymore.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The shocking rate of women interested in gambling. on: February 27, 2024, 12:07:08 PM
Yeah, women gamblers are increasing in number due to online casinos but I don't think they can even compete with the number of male gamblers. I don't think that even 1/4th of gamblers are women so I guess male gamblers will always be more in number because women aren't much interested in gambling as males and they really don't want to win and earn, they can easily take whatever they want by controlling their own husbands and boyfriends.
Of course male gamblers will always be more than female gamblers because the kind of things that interests men are different than what interests women and if you observe closely you will understand that only a little percentage of females are interested in game like this that why there are not much women that participate in gambling.

I am so surprised how the number of female gamblers keep increasing nowadays, i have come across more number of female asking me for betting games and tips and whenever they do i get surprised how girls seem to be more interested in betting now because they used to slander it in the past. I don’t know for other countries but in my country i think it’s because of the unfavorable economic situation in the country, everyone wants to earn something for themselves not knowing gambling is not the best place to turn to.
360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 26, 2024, 08:51:34 PM
He didn’t make such a direct comment, he answered, when asked who he would like to become teammates with between Messi and Ronaldo that he would prefer to be teammates with Ronaldo because Messi is more of a playmaker just as himself and Ronaldo is more of a striker so as a playmaker all he needs is a striker and not a playmaker. He also mentioned that if he was opportuned to play alongside Ronaldo he might probably end up being the player with most assists in history because of Ronaldo’s clinicality.

Of course Al Nassr are linked to De Bruyne but I don’t think an official offer have been made but i do believe he is likely to join Al Nassr if an offer is submitted. It would be nice to see these two play together so we can witness some mind blowing combo, and if they eventually play together it would be a huge boost for the Saudi pro league.

De Bruyne is special and world class and i would love to see him partner with Ronaldo before they retire.

Whether he made that comment or not, never in the world would De Bruyne decide to go to Al-Nassr because Ronaldo is playing there. How ridiculous would that be? We are talking about one of the best midfielders in the world and that guy isn't a little kid anymore. Mbappe said that his idol once was Cristiano Ronaldo, but does anyone think that Mbappe would therefore go to Al-Nassr now because his dream as a child was to once play together with Ronaldo?

Seriously, but this is kindergarten in my opinion. Even thinking that is ridiculous. These grown up world stars follow their own path and if that path means crossing ways with Ronaldo, then so be it, but other than that they have their own careers and would never in their lifetime make such a decision. De Bruyne has definitely other plans for the next few years. I don't think the time has come for him to disappear into the desert of Saudi Arabia.

How old is De Bruyne? He is 32 years old bro so it’s just as you said he is not a little kid anymore so sooner or later he will get to a retirement age where he wouldn’t be valuable and relevant in Europe anymore and to continue playing he would have to decide whether he should retire or play in a league where he would be valued and relevant.

De Bruyne is already old and we can see that from the way he plays, it is obvious that he won’t play active football for a long time anymore just as it happens to other players. When a player gets to a retirement age all that is important to them is how they can make more money for their families when they retire so I don’t think De Bruyne would reject an offer from a Saudi team when he draws closer to retirement. It’s the best thing to do and Al Nassr is not a bad team, they have good quality players now and they are currently doing well so i don’t see any reason why De Bruyne wouldn’t want to join them.
