343  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 31, 2024, 04:55:14 PM

My strategy is to sell some parts of my bitcoin holding next year and start to apply a DCA strategy to accumulate bitcoin back during the bearish market because it is expected that after the bull run comes a bearish market. That is, after this bull run(2024/2025) what follows is a bearish market.

In as much as we are not discussing about selling here, that your strategy is more like a trading strategy, and the reason why you said you will be selling is not appealing and you are more like gambling than investing and it doesn't make you a hodler, don't forget that the market is filled with uncertainty and no one can determine the level of any bearish trend that you are anticipating, and I think there are better reasons why one should sell parts of his or her investment especially when they are already far gone in their accumulation.
344  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: March 31, 2024, 05:34:15 AM
Today I started doing pushups in the morning and was only able to do three push ups. On the third attempt I was only able to do 17 push ups. I guess I need to improve the food to increase the push up, the more energy the body produces the more I can push up. Of course since I accepted the challenge I must be able to give 100 push ups before reaching 100 bitcoins.

Yes pushups can more difficult for a new starter, you need to take it easy by doing it one step at a time, however doing push-ups comes with pains but you have to endure it up to a certain point before having some rest, enduring the pains is more like building up stamina to break your limit.

What is happening to you is very normal for a starter and not just because of food, yes of a truth good dietary is very good along side with exercise.

Keep doing the few you can and do it on different pacing and you will be surprised how you will gradually break your present limit.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 31, 2024, 05:12:29 AM
RB Leipzig couldn't keep up with what they are good at doing by having a 0.....0 draw against darmstad,

Bayern Munich and Dortmund I was expecting a more serious match that possibly end a draw match but Dortmund took the lead and the ended 0....2.
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: March 31, 2024, 04:56:40 AM
I was very skeptical about yesterday game between Manchester united and brenthford, brenthford are very good having a hot matches when it comes to big teams,

When I saw the first half o ..o draw I knew is never going to end well oh no Manchester united disappointed me not even when they could not hold the goal they scored at the extra time where brenthford had to equalized just after three minutes, thou it didn't hurts me that much because I already knew that is not going to an easy ride for Manchester united.
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: March 30, 2024, 09:39:06 PM
One of the benefits of this challenge is that it has reminded majority of us of how we were in one way other into doing push-ups and stopped at some point of our life am really glad to be participating in this because it has brought out the guyman I use to be before Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes yes that is true to be honest, and there are things I do more easier now, I eat well and sleep very too more than how i uses to. Am really super excited to be participating in this challenge. Evening session done and pretty good.

349  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why can't we live in peace? on: March 30, 2024, 07:48:26 PM
Hi,

I wake up in the morning to go to work and find that another war has begun in another part of the world. This topic is very large and we cannot stop talking about it. Wars over land, oil, water, precious metals, almost everything, until the word war has become very common and is mentioned in News broadcasts many times a day. Indeed, humanity is heading towards its destruction and demise. We are the ones who create death with our own hands.

What makes a person thirst for war? Is it control, power, or is this his nature?
Individual discrepancy, nature has made that humans can never behave alike in all ramifications of life, actions and reactions differs from one another, quest, expectations, lifestyles, aspirations, dreams, and so many others, humans can never become like minds. Hence there can never be permanent peace.
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA: the power of little beginning on: March 30, 2024, 07:38:54 PM
I have come to understand and appreciate the saying that "little drops of water make a mighty ocean", the DCA method of buying Bitcoin brought me to that understanding. I have had this poor mindset of making huge profits from trading thereafter, invest part of it into Bitcoin holding as a hedge to my trading. This mindset have held me moving round the same cycle of profits and losses for over two years with no progress despite the pains and psychological torture that comes with losing streak in trading. Little did I know that buying little by little would have made me achieve even bigger results than I was targeting through trading. It was when I started being active in this forum I noticed that there is something called Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) that enable someone buy Bitcoin even with small amount of money on a regular basis. I embraced it and it has changed my life!

Today I am a proud Bitcoin investor, with a portfolio that I can call an achievement even though it may not be something too big for some people. I am not making this post because of Bitcoin is rising in price, my focus is on the quantity of Bitcoin and not necessarily the dollar value. Besides, the DCA method has molded me to appreciate bear markets because that is the opportunity to collect more Bitcoin at lower prices.

I am sure there are many people with similar thing to say about the DCA method because I have engaged in many discussions where a good number of forum users confirmed to be using the DCA method, so I expect they will also be proud of what they have achieved through it.

To those who really helped in sharing their wealth of knowledge free of charge in this forum like @JayJuanGee, @Wind_FURY, @tranthidung and many others, you are all highly appreciated.

Are you discouraged with the amount you have to start your investment dca is the answer,  are you scared of volatility dca is the answer, are you scared you don't know much about Bitcoin investment dca is the answer you can learn on your way up, are you worried about the market dca is the answer, dca has so much benefits that are too numerous to mention.
351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a scam on: March 30, 2024, 07:30:55 PM
Bitcoin is not a scam and can never be, it has proven beyond expectations, all the purpose to which it was made for are unvailling spontaneously, it is the best when it comes to the world class largest digital currency. It is still best and will remain the best. Those who doesn't believe about the potentials Bitcoin has are only narrowing their mindsets about innovations.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cutting my gambling costs to Invest some of it on the Alt and Meme Coins. on: March 30, 2024, 07:04:29 PM
Why I can only afford to invest in the highily volatile AltCoins and the MemeCoins is that the tokens are cheaper to purchase in a lot of quantities unlike bitcoin that's very expensive. Although it's agreed that one can invest on bitcoin with any amount of money but comparing the fractions or quantity, bitcoin is more quality and expensive.
So I'd only Invest on these Meme and the Alt Coins with my at stake funds supposing to be funded on my gambling. So I'd rather skip or cut my gambling stakes so that I can alternate it to Invest of the unreliable Coins which I'd also say to be it's highily risky to be sighted as gambling too.

Bitcoin is not expensive however you could rather say that you don't have the patience enough to hold because with the kind of amount you may have you apparently need to be accumulating for long and of course I can see you don't have that patients enough to hold for long because Bitcoin is best performed when seen on a long term perspective, Bitcoin is not a quick and get rich scheme but from your expression I can also see that you needed a quick profits rather than waiting, I wish you good luck in your choice of altcoin.
353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: March 30, 2024, 02:26:34 PM

We found ourselves currently accumulating bitcoins with small amounts of money only since joining this topic. As much as possible we are trying to accumulate enough bitcoins, feel useful from the day we start accumulating bitcoins. Only DCA method is the best method to invest, there are many big investors who can convert their capitals into Bitcoin.

That can be misleading, irrespective of that fact that the dca strategy plays a very vital role in Bitcoin long term investment of which it's benefits are too numerous to mention, the reason why it dominates the thread, it will be very wrong to proclaim that the dca strategy is the only best method,  yes undoubtedly dca is a very good strategy when it comes to Bitcoin long term investment. But however, if only you have been reading most of our previous pages you would have find out that this argument of which is the best strategy has been summarized in such a way that every investor must make an informed decisions as regards to the choice of strategies that will suits him or her in terms of

   Financial situations

   Investment goals and objectives

   Risk tolerance level

This are what should be considered when making choice of strategies to be employed during your accumulation process.

We have talked about the lump sum, the dca, and buying the dip and they are all talking about how to maximize every opportunity and buy as much as possible you can and hodl for as long as achieving your investment goals and objectives and this should be your most concern and not trying to make any comparison of which is the best. The dca allows you to make purchases with fixed amount of money at different intervals irrespective of the price point, and can make a lump sum buy or buy wholesomely when there is a dip,  all the strategies are very important based on how it suits and how  you were able to utilize them as an investor.
I just hope this will make sense to you.

355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum vs Solana on: March 30, 2024, 01:35:07 PM
I have around 2k USD of btc and I wanted to swap it for something but I can't decide whether to buy eth or Solana both seem extremely promising in the far future.

That is very interesting swapping btc usd? Well it is yours choice, I will prefer you go for solana thou Ethereum is also good but considering your capital I think you will have more of solana coins than that of Ethereum as regards to their price in the market cap, however the ball is your court and you have to play it to your sole desire.
356  Other / Off-topic / Re: Arent men in general more likely to take risks compared to women? on: March 30, 2024, 10:26:56 AM
Every man is a head from creation, so it is more like a natural gift from nature for men to absorb more risky assertion as when compared to that of the woman .but however in most scenerio case some women has proven to be stroger than some men let us be realistic some have more risk tolerance than some men.
357  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A mistake you would surely regret on: March 30, 2024, 10:20:56 AM

Channel your energy and resources, it is very important to make an informed decisions as regards to investments. Whic will definitely varies from individuals.
358  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who does gambling addiction affect the most? on: March 30, 2024, 09:09:28 AM
Excessive gambling is detrimental to the life of a gambler no doubt, stories, facts and truths have proven this that they suffer a lot of pressure, tension, loses and frustration. I am also concerned about the impact of gambling on the lives of those dependent on the gambler like his immediate family(wife, children, parents and siblings). I have heard stories of children whose early lives were messed up due to the bad habits of gambling addiction of their fathers. A very recent one is one account in this forum which created a topic staring his hatred for gambling and backing his claim with same ugly story of being a product of a home where the father is a gambling addict. He stressed that it ruined his father and affected him disastrously. I know how painful and frustrating it is when your foundation its poor, and the negative effect is massive.

So I want to ask, between the gambling addict and his immediate family, who does the addiction affect the most?

It affects the immediate family the most reason being that there is every possibility of the addict to go to the extend of borrowing money to gamble which is the family they are going to hold responsible because the addict may not have the money to pay back, the addict may get into other trouble where the immediate family will be involve such as fighting, stealing and can even fall in to depression and die, it is the family that will bear it the pains so for I could say that it affect the immediate family the most.
