This is actually second chance for the people to get into the ETH this year! I mean this is second time ETH is going down in the prices. Unfortunately the current drop was related to the hacks, comprising of DNS etc but still good opportunity for those who want to be in. ETH is going to be above 1k USD in blink of an eye, and believe me this is the way crypto currency works so its better to be ready rather than be unsure about everything!  
ETH stands 50% down to its ATH, which means you will already secure the 50% profits by the time it will reach those prices.

If you want to know about the bitcoin then why are you mentioning altcoins in your title! I dont get it !

Anyway, on the discussion front its main issue is legality of using all the crypto's. Its not just about the bitcoin or altcoins and its neither about their characteristic but a simple fact that is "non-acceptance" by the government. See, if they accept it one day and if devs see bitcoin/altcoin are being used as mainstream application then obviously rest of the developments will follow and things will be recovered in zero time. So thats the bothering thing or major disadvantage of it, we need ruling body!

IOST is really getting in my heart these days. I mean this project is something different than others and I want to know more about it.

What is the Swap plan for this token? And why devs think that its necessary ? Will it help boost the popularity of the coin. And I do see some confusion in IOS and IOST, are they both different and carries different functionality?

I do know that in IOST, the T stands for Token, but why it is said that it will be called as IOS soon. What difference that makes?

Interesting facts (not much info in the article though ) and good for the Ripple coin.

However there seems no effect of such application on the ripple market volume change and prices either. I mean as soon as there is any lead in the crypto then the specific coin starts to grow like crazy in the mean time. But ripple stands still. I am sure this all effect of the unlimited emission of this coin and the centralised nature of the same. If they keep that way then obviously the prices are going to be the same all the time.

As news, its good, as matter of investor it sucks.

Nothing just working by myself on this thing. Go to the market look for the buzz of specific coin and then have some project research on the same and then buy little amount of it initially. If the coin is showing some potential in the future then just buy more and keep the perfect balance. I am not rally picking the coins those are listed by others but we can always see the common players in the market thus making it more confident that our portfolio is doing great. 

Also, if I found any good coin in the bounties that I am working then I will hold them for long time and will always consider them as part of my portfolio.

I am keeping my ETH into the wallet to top up the same. As I keep receiving the token from various bounties then I do need them as fees so that I can transfer the tokens to various exchangers and different wallets. Thats the primary use I see for myself.

Secondly it is primary coin in my investment portfolio of an altcoins! So im holding it for the purpose of holding long terms. Obviously we can see that ETH's journey had been great since 300 USD to 1200 USD in blink of an eye. So keeping in that mind im holding it for another jackpot too.

Yeah I would like to think in the same way and currently something similar is on my mind too. I mean I do think that it has got to do with he MEW hacks and ETH dumping caused the panic surge through rest of the coin holders too.

But it could be merely a coincidence where the down trend started and yes surely this is just the bear market the same way we experienced in between the last two weeks only the difference is this one is far far intense than the others.

Anyway BTC is already up by couple of 100 USD since the dump.

It wont go much down as it is just panic sell that I can see. Off course we all know how people react (or overreact ) when something bad happens in the market.

If they cant keep up the holding then this was supposed to happen. Looks like another dump and nothing else. Those who will sell right now will regret a lot in the time to come (that is next week). I mean this is same how people are weak handed and even if there is small bad thing happens then they start dumping everything.

Yeah now thats true and I can bet more than 10 BTC on this statement. I even think that many other social platforms might just have started re-weritign their of terms and condition after Facebook caught on fire with the law suits. We know very well the whole world is connected with the internet and everything other platform is doing the same thing as the Facebook did. I think they have more or less started looking after the matter when this scandal happened.

Hm, that hard to remind unfortunately as I always convert my holdings to the ETH immediately after I see them listed on the exchanger. The reason is simple, these days many of the bounties are turning to the scam once they are reaching to the exchanger and one the dumping of bounty holders is done. So thereafter there seems no use of holding these coins and they could be just another scam shit. For now I am holding one coin since the ICO (but I did not got it from the bounties) but invested in it since then, thats socail coin.

I am working on the IOS signature and I have come to know many things about this coin after I read through their project. Its scale is amazing to surpass many of the altcoin out there and even the BTC for time being. I mean in the future to come I am already seeing the IOS in the top 10 coins. So yeah surely this is what I am trading for now and gonna hold for long surely. I am little worried about the XVG but after current mega dump, I am sure that it will rise up again. So yeah giving it a shot too.

Oh great now they have got the official guideline to choose the best ICO of 2018, thats just amazing for the Russian people even after loosing millions of dollars in scam! My government's next step was to shut down the crypto currency trade as soon as there was scam over million dollar. Can you imagine that one.

Its good that Russia is taking some steps forward to solve the problems regarding the crypto, they surely going to be the finest country to operate the crypto's after Japan.

There are many countries who are already working on this scenario. I mean country like India is things to adapt some of the feature of blockchain and use it to transmit huge documents to the end user via it. India is country where the documents is mess when it comes to the storage of it and looking at the population of the same I am sure its far better logical to implement that system. I mea this kind of digitalisation and gradual use of the blockchain and based AI would do great in the future. I also think that time is not far when companies like google will adapt these techs to implement in the automated cars and stuff like that.

So true about the rebounding to 12K USD price or even higher I would bet!

However I dont think that there will be any kind of bear market or biggest fall will occur after reaching the 12K USD. This time we will surpass that resistance level also. We had one dip form the 19K USD to 15K USD and then the mega one when we reached 12K USD and fell down to 6K USD recently. I think that was enough fall after so long time and now market is way lot healthy than the previous one.

Yes I completely think that Established coins are way better than the coins which are in the ICO phase. ICO phase is like something where there are two things that can happen. One it may be hit the exchanger with good price and mint workout best for rest of the roadmap. Or it could happen that it may just become the scam before hitting the exchanger.

So yeah, its as logical as we state here, established coins would be the first choice. But also only first 50-100 as you said because from there onwards coins may not have proper volume and thats why they are way below the line too.

Um, thats a certainly good way to do it in the first place when you dont have to loose money! I mean these coins (top 10) are the best to invest because of their volume that is driven into them every 24 hours! These small things matter a lot when considered altcoins as they move them very fast (up and down). They are safe because they mostly getting huge attention being top 10. So yeah anything you pick from their is good terms of investment. I am pretty sure at least they wont you let down beyond the break even at anytime in the future.

Still dont think that its going to be coin of the year. Something really bothers me about the NEO, and thats its popularity! Its not as good as ETH is and opted out by most of the ICO creators due to ETH's simplicity also. I do love NEO but there is no point in arguing between the two as they have no competition at all. ETH always stands better chance as it provides easy smart contracts and most of the people are user friendly with it. They know it a lot, they have the ETH, and ETH is on their head all the time. I mean you see where I am going with this one. Thats why it may not happen.

Nah! I hardly think that will happen anytime. I mean I am not talking about the Binance taking that move to shift the the BTC trades. This will never happen as most of the people here are more reliable on BTC pairs. Firstly they need to get the BTC so that they can hold the BTC and more often collect as much as they could so that they can earn extra share on the interest rates that they have gotten in that way. But on the other hand fiat-to-crypto and/or vice versa wouldn't work much it means nothing to most of the crypto investors. Believe me they might just regret it later. Also it wont affect the prices of bitcoin for the reasons that I mentioned above.

I will vote for the BTC. The bitcoin has been here for very long period of time and due to its long existence the popularity of the same has grown a lot in recent days. There is effect called as like attract the like and in this case people are mostly liking the BTC and whenever someone new shows up in this field then will start with the BTC only or as we teach student the first later is A, in the similar manner they come to know that there is BTC! So you see this trend is not going anywhere and people keep buying it at the first glance no matter what happens! I am pretty sure if we see this trend ever and ever the BTC will dominate this crypto world by more than 80%.

I have ended up buy the BTC at alarming rate of 12K USD and also some ETH when it was 1250 USD last December. I have not made much investment into them but it is the thing that mistake is mistake and we cant ignore it but should be learning form it. I am not sure what I was thinking at that time when I made those purchases. When it was bitcoin that I was looking out then I thought 20K USD was the ATH and thus 12K USD is mega drop and BTC will take over again. But that was real mistake to think in that way and same thing followed with ETH too. May be I rushed too much while making my investment and that is what my learning is from this all.
