I have some problems with the minerd on ubuntu terminal server.
Maybe someone can help

i am useing this config:
Quote
./m-minerd  -o stratum+tcp://xmg.suprnova.cc:7128 -u worker.1 -p workerpw

but i only get this as a result
Quote

Basically i always get straum_subscribe timed out and every 30s a retry with same error

You missed your algo switch
It should be looking like this:
Code:
./m-minerd -a m7mhash -o stratum+tcp://xmg.suprnova.cc:7128 -u worker.1 -p workerpw

Thank your for your reply.
I added the -a but still, not working

I already tested if i could ping the suprnova server, and i can ping it.
I also tested connecting to the pools ip instead of domain name, same error.

Correct syntax:
Code:
./m-minerd -a m7mhash -o stratum+tcp://xmg.suprnova.cc:7128 -u username.workername -p workerpassword

I don't think its anything to do with slowdown, my connection at the moment is 98.12 Mb/s up   7.16 Mb/s down.
And it still happens, not your fault or mine, its them sites with the wrong version captcha on me thinks.

Checkboxes appear IF for some reason JavaScript (not JAVA) does not work.
Possible reasons:
 - ad blocker or other scammy plugin got wild (try private mode)
 - unstable connection (press F12 in your browser, go to "Network" tab and press CTRL+F5 to refresh. In the list you will see the reason why the js did not load)
 - buggy proxy etc. (same as above)
 - buggy browser cache (try clearing your image cache)

Google says the makejar site contains harmful programs.

It is probably a false alarm...
Still, I did not go to it.   Sad

They will never unblacklist it. I speak too often and in too many places about their methods of spying and censorship.
344  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetBOX.com Discussion on: February 11, 2016, 08:23:35 PM
how do I solve it ?

What hosting do you have? I think you have to either upgrade your hosting plan, change your hosting or (if you have multiple faucets) split your faucets on a few hosting plans (to have separate database quotas).

http://www.banahosting.com/web-hosting.shtml

Plan:
BANA-CORPORATE
DELUXE

talk to tech support and I restored all at day 7, they say there is no problem on the server.  Sad  Cry

Something is taking way too long and the connection is lost. (maybe you are using external service for something, or you scan for ports?)

Try with fresh FB script.

can i mine magi with a pi ? if yes how to do?

If you mean Raspberry Pi ... you will get at most 5MH/s (at max stable overclock) which means that you will either need BIG heatsink or small heatsink and fan.

Assuming you are using Raspbian.

you can try with this (I'm not 100% sure about the second line since I already had everything installed from another project):
Code:
sudo su
apt-get install build-essential m4 libssl-dev libdb++-dev libboost-all-dev libminiupnpc-dev git automake libcurl4-openssl-dev

git clone https://github.com/magi-project/m-cpuminer-v2
cd m-cpuminer-v2
./autogen.sh && ./configure CFLAGS="-O3 -mfpu=neon" CXXFLAGS="-O3" && make

To start the miner:
Code:
./m-minerd -o stratum+tcp://pool_url:pool_port -u pool_user.worker -p password -t thread_numbers -e cpu_efficiency

5Mhs with a raspberry pi? Seriously? how?

5kh/s sorry  Roll Eyes Grin Shocked Roll Eyes

snip

Can't access these, dropbox says "This account's links are generating too much traffic and have been temporarily disabled!". Any other Magi mining software?

http://xmg.makejar.com/

Google says that it's a malicious site. Roll Eyes Can someone with a higher rank vouch for that website, or quote the message from the devs containing it? Better safe than sorry; I have electrum on this computer.

I think it's clean. Only google says no. -> https://www.virustotal.com/de/url/217cbc418e2bf0c38eb442bc27ace767ab787d4a8fb0b423bdf558fe43fbfa48/analysis/1454754307/

Nearly, if not all, miner tools get flagged as malicious, even from honest and established developers.

Seems "big brother" don't like me. I requested unblacklisting few times, always including my e-mail in the request but never got feedback from them. The website has no software hosted (just source code).

Unfortunately "safe browsing" became a multi-browser tool for censorship and spying in hand of one company - google.

As creator of SweetSpot I can assure you that it is clean (the source code is pretty simple to understand, if you have the tools I can help you compile your own). I cannot guarantee about the miners that are needed since they were not compiled by me, but I'm using the Wolf miners on a machine where I keep few wallets and had no issues for now.

Is there a way to get random captcha? for example that funcaptcha are rotating and are you human?

I've seen such script in action, but it was buggy like hell.

Even without bugs the truth is that the bot will reload the page until he gets the captcha he wants  Angry

It is way better to change it manually on a daily basis and stop using the captchas that don't stop bots at all.

The other idea is if you are uncertain if the user is using proxy or not ... just send him 1~2MB of incompressible data in the html before the faucet form. Most open proxies are slow and the connection may timeout or the bot may hang  Smiley But don't do it to every user since your host will kick your ...  Roll Eyes

Anyone else having issues with sweetspot miner?
For the last 2-3 days doesn't read right block reward - its showing 22 all the time

Sorry, just now I realized my magid was down (and looks the fallback method does not work anymore). Should be fine now.

Hope I'll get some time to get better fallback method soon.

A helpful member suggested me to use the anti-bot-links-200.

A warning to other faucet owners; This script can be beaten with bots. Perhaps I'll demonstrate during the weekend.

anti-bot-links-201 can be beaten if the faucet owner does not follow all the instructions but it will most likely cost more for a "solving service" than a botter will get from faucet.

If the faucet owner create hundreds of his own unique logical puzzles and don't put more than 3~5 links the bot maker will have to refresh the website thousands times in order to get all the possible questions/answers. That way you can catch the bot maker's IP ... but most likely he will skip your faucet and move to easier victim.
anti bot links means bad faucet experience.

It is better to have 1 captcha and 3 links (not placed in layers under ads ofc) than 2 captchas.

What is more annoying is seeing "Exceeding safety limit" message after completing correctly all the protections. Bots can organize to attack a website between X:00~X:05 and X:30~X:35 but normal humans (especially bitcoin noobs that bring most of the profit to the faucet owners) usually get disappointing.

Real AntiBot Links

Download & unpack:
http://bit.makejar.com/labs/anti-bot-links-200/antibotlinks.zip

Code:
Files to add:
/libs/antibotlinks.php

Files to edit:
/index.php
/templates/*theme-name*/index.php

Ok, let's start.

First make a backup of your faucet (everything could go wrong, better safe than sorry).

Then

Copy:
antibotlinks.php

To:
/libs/antibotlinks.php

Now you will need to edit 2 files. I suggest using Notepad++ https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ to edit files but any good editor will do the job.
This is based on FB R60 but should work with newer/older versions.

Open:
/index.php

Find:
        $data['captcha_info'] = $captcha;

add after:
        # AntiBotLinks
        require_once('libs/antibotlinks.php');
        $antibotlinks = new antibotlinks(true);// true if GD is on on the server, false is less secure
        if (array_key_exists('address', $_POST)) {
          if (!$antibotlinks->check()) {
            $antibotlinks->generate(5, true);// number of links once they fail to solve min 3 - max 5, the second param MUST BE true
          }
        } else {
          $antibotlinks->generate(3);// initial number of links min 3 - max 5
        }

Find:
           $data['captcha_valid'] &&

add after:

           # AntiBotLinks
           $antibotlinks->is_valid() &&

Open:
/templates/*theme-name*/index.php

Find:
</head>

Add before:
<?php
# AntiBotLinks START
?>

<script style="text/javascript">
$(function() {
  var clicks = 0;
  $('.antibotlinks').click(function() {
    clicks++;
    $('#antibotlinks').val($('#antibotlinks').val()+' '+$(this).attr('rel'));
    if(clicks == <?php echo $antibotlinks->get_link_count(); ?>) {
      var rand = Math.floor((Math.random() * clicks) + 1);
      var button = '<input type="submit" class="btn btn-primary btn-lg" value="Get Reward!">';
      var z=0;
      $('.antibotlinks').each(function(){
        z++;
        if (z==rand) {
          $(this).replaceWith(button);
        }
      });

    }
    $(this).hide();
    return false;
  });
});
</script>
<?php
# AntiBotLinks END
?>

Find:
                            <?php if(!$data["captcha_valid"]): ?>
                            <p class="alert alert-danger">Invalid captcha code!</p>
                            <?php endif; ?>

Add after (the input field must be between <form> and </form>):

<?php
# AntiBotLinks START
?>

                            <input type="hidden" name="antibotlinks" id="antibotlinks" value="" />
                            <?php if(!$antibotlinks->is_valid()): ?>
                            <p class="alert alert-danger">Invalid AntiBot verification!</p>
                            <?php endif; ?>
<?php
# AntiBotLinks END
?>

Somewhere between <form> and </form> add (you need to do it 5 times, this is where the links will appear):

<?php
# AntiBotLinks START
?>

                        <?php echo $antibotlinks->show_link(); ?>
<?php
# AntiBotLinks END
?>

And finally remove the default CLAIM button :)

This doesn't display "Please click on the Anti-Bot links in the following order" on the page. but the anti bot links does.

Follow the instructions here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1200700.msg12719086#msg12719086

Can someone explain this:

Jokertimes faucet prizes are:
2500 satoshi (0.11%)
1000 satoshi (1.07%)
750 satoshi (2.15%)
500 satoshi (96.67%)

And Ref % is 40%

How come this address can get 1000 sats as referral every time?!

Jokertimes is using microfaucet. To save server resources microfaucet is accumulating the ref rewards until they become at least 1000.

Assuming that 96% of the claims are 500 sat then we have:
500-sat claim = 200 sat ref
+
500-sat claim = 200 sat ref
+
500-sat claim = 200 sat ref
+
500-sat claim = 200 sat ref
+
500-sat claim = 200 sat ref
ref = 1000 ... time for ref payout

Who knows how to add this feature? You know, when you have to click on all these "I'm human" things to see Get Reward button

It does not protect against bots ... there are faucets that use the links to clickjack their users.

If you want something that works against bots try this:
http://bit.makejar.com/labs/anti-bot-links-201/
http://bit.makejar.com/labs/anti-bot-links-201/install.php

Don't use it for clickjacking please.

3~5 links are enough to make a brute-force unprofitable.

Don't forget to create your own challenges other than the sample ones.
356  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Updated 07/nov/2015] Faucet Owners Against Scammers and Bots on: November 17, 2015, 06:51:48 PM
Those antibot links are a puzzle made to be difficult for machines to solve, but easy for humans.

In other words, they're a captcha, except they're more annoying because the user has to hunt around all over page. So why not just use a second captcha?

Wrong!

Second captcha means extra 50 satoshi per claim for the bot user/creator.

The bot creators can't build single-snapshot captcha solving service based on IQ puzzles.

And the links are annoying if they are too many and spread all over the website.

The instructions say 3-5 links. Using Less or More will weaken the protection.

Don't forget to create your own puzzles. That way there will be no "universal solution" to take down all the faucets.

Also there is version 201 Wink
I see in the new version, no thing is changes as compare to old version.

The difference is in the antibotlinks.php file (better compatibility, better randomness).

The reward is currently at 0 XMG/block according to SweetSpot. Does it mean that no XMG is mined every block, or that no block is mined ? This is quite strange that there is 106 MH/s when it is at 0 XMG/block and only 15 MH/s when the block reward is at 18XMG/block Huh. People is so illogical !

Sweet Spot uses integers. Since it uses "round" function 0 means below 0.5, 1 means between 0.5 and 1.5 etc.

When I added block value targeting I never though there will be a single !d!ot bringing the POW reward below 3 XMG. Actually the first version supporting block value targeting was hardcoded to 12XMG/block since everything below 16~20 XMG/Block is waste of money.

Then I though that if an user is heating his place with miners he may be happy with 6 XMG/Block ...

NeedIfFindIt, would you like to have VPS to host your stuffs? I'm not sure how I'll go with my VPS, but if you like this option, I'll try to make it happen.

Edit, the official site also have space to host if this an option too.
If your host is not full of lame admins feel free to host the files there.

Google blacklisted my site, but my hoster doesn't care. If you like, I will host it.
The question is what they did after I appealed. No apology for blacklisting a good app, just more and more harassing.
It is the forth attack to me for 2015 by "The Big Brother". And this is a result from openly mentioning on forums about the crimes they make  Shocked Shocked Shocked
Feel free to host the files.

One or two weeks ago, when I went to your website to download it, it was already on this "list". Maybe you could host it on another web host ? There is free domain name if you don't want to buy another one.

True, I spent most of 2015 going from a doctor to a doctor and have almost no time for development. I can host it on 20 free hostings but it is more a question of honor. I'm 19 years in coding and for 19 years I did not write a single line of code with the idea to harm someone. Torrents were the step in P2P before the Bitcoin. They give the freedom of sharing files without a single point of failure. It may be little sluggish when there are not enough seeders but it is better than nothing.

Unfortunately "The Big Brother" (google) decided to put end on Sweet Spot Magi Controller. Using their domination they included xmg.makejar.com website in "safe browsing filter". I tried to whitelist but I mentioned that they are using their domination position to silence me. Few hours later I was contacted by my host saying that he is going to close my website.
Unfortunately to preserve the website I'm removing the direct download links. If you want to use Sweet Spot you will have to either compile your own or download it via torrent.
