Well, I'm still hodling but I have also decided to buy a (somewhat special) used car with around 2% of my ICN holdings.  It's not a Lambo, but it is going to be a great upgrade from my current 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS convertible daily driver.  This one is a 2003 GTS, a very nice step up from my current ride.  What can I say, I like Eclipse Spyders, even if they stopped making them in 2012.  They were never a true muscle car like a Mustang or a Camaro but they are great little cars with plenty of power - and Miatas are way too small for me.  This 2003 GTS has 210 HP before tuning the car's computer chip, which I intend to do.  And I do so love having that top down with sunshine and wind in my hair...

Here's a photo of my new baby:

I was a little worried about doing a mini-dump to get this cash, but I see I need not have worried - the ICN has recovered quickly to its current "normal" price.

Thanks, ICONOMI team, for helping me get some nice wheels by investing in your profitable project!

I...AM...STILL...HODLING !!!

That was you that dumped the price to .00022 last night?

There must be a reason why the price of ICN is dropping when most on the tokens in the ICP is doing very well. I will like to know what is going on with the platform presently

It's because people don't want to miss out on that Ether and Dash pump. It's silly selling ICN this low when the public launch is weeks away.

Speaking of ICNX, somebody with beta tell us what the price of ICNX is up to. Post a picture of the chart.

Hi Everyone, I am sure this has been asked a thousand times. I am holding some ICN, got in rather late and above the price it is now. I am wondering if someone can give me some information on ICNX and how I obtain ICNX as well. Do I have to wait for the platform release now?

Yes, you will have to wait for the platform release which should be quite soon. It is currently being beta tested with more testers being added until the public release.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: March 15, 2017, 12:00:59 AM
I have heard it is not listed on Poloniex because it is considered a security which means Poloniex as a US company must register with the SEC.

In other words Polo cannot legally list ICN. Is this true?

No, that is a myth propagated by a known troll trying to crash the price. ICN is listed on Kraken which is also based in the U.S. The reason ICN isn't listed on Poloniex is because the developers do not want it to be.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: March 14, 2017, 03:41:46 AM
It's a shame icn hasn't caught any of today's price rises. Why is this??

It is because it is not listed on Poloniex. I am criticizing Iconomi, just pointing out a fact. Most altcoin traders trade on Poloniex and so only trade coins listed there. Most would not go through the hassle of switching assets between Poloniex and Kraken just to make a trade on Iconomi.

From what I gathered they asked not to be listed yet, till the platform is ready.
Based on the tweets I've seen between polo, rex, and ICN.

I think this is for the best. This way it didn't have a poloniex pump & dump on zero news and then always got remembered as "that coin" that had nothing going for it. Iconomi will have its day to shine soon though. I am polishing my space helmet as we speak.

FACT #1: ICN tokens will receive 100% of the revenue generated by Iconomi platform, including all the fees from the fiat portal, index array, and performance array

FACT #2: More beta users are getting access to platform. This is one of the only projects on coinmarketcap.com that is on schedule and already generating significant revenue

FACT #3: ICNX just hit an alltime high.  ICNP has already generated about $400k in unrealized profit and still has 98% of its' seed money patiently waiting to be invested

349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: March 12, 2017, 04:24:58 AM
That wasn't a delay brother. They felt they could start beta earlier than intended but later retracted that to their original deadline. The only people calling it a delay were the people creating fake count down timers and posting Lambo pics.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: March 11, 2017, 05:38:21 PM
No delay. Just got an early access to the beta platform  Grin

Telling us anything about it would be nice. Experience? Screenshots? Problems?
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: March 11, 2017, 05:14:57 PM
3 new people in Slack have received beta access today.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: March 11, 2017, 04:43:41 PM
I think the price will go below 20ksat if Bitcoi ETF is approved, I doubt that will happen but there will surely be a great Altcoins dump
It might happen, but that is not Iconomi's fault. why do people keep asking why the price is going down or saying that it will go lower than X?
at this moment every altcoin is fragile and passive of going down

I'm not saying ICONOMI is responsible for any dump in price, eveyone is responsible for the decision the make, I don't really think every Bitcoin rally resulted in price dump because most of the time the USD price sometine remain in thesame price range

I think Bitcoin pump was responsible for it. imo, 1-2 whales sold icn to get Bitcoin.

Iconomi is responsible for dump. You cannot deny this fact. Delay caused some dumps
But if they launched underdeveloped product, it would have resulted in worse situation.

Long term mentally strong investors are still holding .

After launch price would definitely go up.

There was no delay. What are you referring to? What did Iconomi delay? They are actually ahead of schedule.

Word on the street is they will announce a decision today.

My take is that with ICN, you have to report dividends to the government and pay taxes on them. But with ICNX, you do not have to pay taxes on them until you sell them.

Good joke man for me. Where those ICNs are rigged to one person Smiley ? Or where on ETH network any token have owner ?
As you see is IMPOSSIBLE to tax you directly. In EU that works that way you have to sell crypto to fiat make bank transfer and then you report income and pay tax. ICN like ICNX are same in matter of taxation till you sell your dividend for ETH for fiat USD/Euro you have earned 0.
Unrealized profit is not real profit in crypto until you will find fiat buyer you can not say you earned anything.
ICNX and ICN are same in taxation - in my country gains come when you capitalize in fiat profit not by just keeping it.

In stock market people are avoiding keeping cash on account at end of fiscal year they buy stock report 0 income then they sell next day to keep fiat in broker account until you move money in fiat out of stock market you have 0 to pay. This is good tactic in tax dodging.
Besides of that in EU there are countries where you have 0% capital gains Tongue like Estonia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capital_gains_tax

But every country is different while your ICN on your ETH wallet are not bound to anyone - but I don't stop you for paying if you really want.

That doesn't fly. I am morally opposed to any taxation, but leagaly speaking, you have to pay taxes on any gains you make, fiat or otherwise. For example if you trade bitcoin for ethereum, you must pay taxes on any gains you made from that trade.

Uh no you don't pay taxes unless a profit is realized. Your example doesn't make sense. Say you trade btc to eth for a profit but then the price of eth goes down and you are now at a loss. You don't pay taxes on the gains you could have made in the initial trade because those profits were never realized. If you sold the eth at the lower price for a loss you would now have a loss you could report.

That'S not how it works. profits are realized when you trade one asset for another. Say you buy BTC, and then the price of that BTC goes up. The minute you buy trade that BTC for something else, you have insured a capital gain. Of course, you are correct, at the end of the tax year you add up all your gains and losses, and if your gains are more than your losses, you owe taxes.

I'm invested in ICN but stopped following for a few months. Could anyone update me on what will be release? I read that ICNP is working now for ICN holders, is that true? Will icnx be released this month? What about DAA?

ICNX has been in closed beta since the end of February. They will be adding more and more beta testers, fixing bugs along the way. It could be released at the end of this month but giving them a little more time would be more realistic. They have invested in several ICOs with the ICNP. We are racking up unrealized profits.

What I cannot decide is whether ICNX will be more valuable than ICN and if I should sell all my ICN to buy ICNX

Decisions...Decisions.....

ICNX will not pay dividend is for another type of investment.
its like buy gold and sit on it vs buy company and get profit+ company value.
If company have good fundamentals and growing market it will grow in value over time vs gold.
If company works with old technology like TV vs internet portals it is obvious it will lose value over time.
If i would compare ICONOMI i would look at it like on Microsoft/Apple that were trying do things with new technology.
ICNX is like gold you hold it but that is not working alone.
Since mining is not bet option for anyone today holding crypto share can be something to go to get income.
There risk everywhere.

long term it's the same % taxes no ?

Here in America, I believe dividends are taxed like regular income. Whereas assets held longer than a year are considered long term capital gains or losses which are subject to a much lower tax rate.

I think that smar people will load with ICONOMI since it looks like good surce of income from crypto, next to exchanges, hazad/gambling / tax dogging Cheesy / black market.
ICONOMI business suits to crypto IMO.

Right. I hear many people say things like, "Several of my coworkers are interested in buying ICNX" and "My Grandmother wants to buy $1000 worth" etc. An alt coin that appeals to such a broad audience ha a bright future. Not to mention the legions of fund managers waiting in line. It is literally a way to make passive income with just a few button presses on a computer.
