341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin being taxed? on: October 28, 2017, 06:21:30 PM
It's good for government and It's also logical since a lot of people of last few years have made mining their job. However If it would happen in my country I wouldn't like being taxed and would most probably stopped mining.
342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency ! Will go boom in no time. on: October 28, 2017, 05:59:37 PM
As what we can see by now, cryptocurrency is starting to make its name and has the ability to be successful. Though there are many probabilities that it will fail, I still believe that it will be a success in no time. What do you think about it ?
It's pretty much the method of making money that has the Government bothered. A lot of people can make money through Bitcoin though they will die eventually while being ignorant.

You are completely fooled if you think that Bitcoin is only a method of making money. I can see that a low of newbs just have a goal of making money and thats it.
343  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-29] Man In Michigan Prosecuted For Selling Bitcoin on: October 28, 2017, 05:24:58 PM
I don't understand why would federal authorities even look at him but still... The IRS is the one that should be worried. He's basically evading taxes. Only reason why he is meeting and taking cash for his BTC
344  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-27]Bitcoin Core Developers Will Take Measures To Protect User Facilitie on: October 27, 2017, 11:36:13 PM
If its true (a lot of fake posts on social media) there is not a lot they can do. At the moment, support for SegWit2x is 83.33% which is not great but still is pretty good. It will happen.

It's still just signalling, which at this point doesn't say everything. I am quite sure that before the deadline a few more miners will leave the ship, further lowering the overall support, but it won't have much of an impact in the end. Realistically speaking, I have no doubt that a chain split will take place due to the ongoing greed. These forks are just another aspect of the greed we have to deal with now ICO's are slowly but surely being taken care of by governments. There is far too much money involved into this fork to not let it come through -- it will happen for sure.

Chain split will happen whatever the support for SegWit2x is. The problem will be if some big wallet/company decide to stay on old chain and call it BTC. It will cause confusion.
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Paypal 30$ with 5 BTC on: October 27, 2017, 07:13:27 PM
That's from 2011. I recently looked over some of my transaction from last year. I wanted to withdraw 100$, and value increased almost 10 times. It almost makes me cry haha
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2017-10-26] Vitalik Buterin: 90% of token startups will fall on: October 27, 2017, 07:09:30 PM
Does not take a genius to get that. I don't even know why are people still investing in ICOs. I get that It may be profitable when it hit exchange (for 15 minutes until it crash) but its a scam long term.
347  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer L3+ Inc. Power supply on: October 27, 2017, 06:06:42 PM
Hey, I'm definitely interested in buying it. Send me a PM if it's still for sale and from what country in EU are you sending it from. It's kinda important for me to know that information. Thanks in advance !
348  Economy / Services / Re: Make money with paypal on: October 27, 2017, 05:55:10 PM
Sell them I guess ? I mean why do you come to Bitcoin forum and ask about PayPal. I personally hate the company (they f***ed me many times, I'm still banned from using the service) and will advise everyone to stay away from them.
349  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Should I buy 2 nanos? on: October 27, 2017, 05:51:25 PM
I don't understand what is the point of having 2 of them. If 1 can be hacked so can the other. If you just want to spread the coins over two wallets I guess it only makes sense in that case. But still you must have some huge amounts of money if you are planning to do that.
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC profits on: October 27, 2017, 05:48:34 PM
If you look at monthly profits, for the last year, in almost every month BTC jumper for more than 20% (some months over 60%) and when it gone down, it was no more than 10%. I just don't see how it's not profitable to hold it long term

352  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-26] Singapore Central Bank: No Reason to Regulate Crypto on: October 27, 2017, 05:40:40 PM
Not that it surprises me really. They are the leaders in technology of course they are looking to accept cryptocurrencies. A lot of tech companies have their headquarters in Singapore, it will only benefit them even more.
353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My cousins story about bitcoin (scam related story + scam believes) on: October 22, 2017, 09:39:16 PM
I read this post like 3 times and still having hard time understanding it. So basically a bank manager scammed a shop using bitcoin (not sure how though) and then he argued that Bitcoin is a scam itself ? Please correct me if I'm wrong.
354  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange with lowest withdraw fee on: October 22, 2017, 06:34:01 PM
I use Poloniex, they charge only 0.0001 BTC for withdrawal fee.

When I said withdrawal fee, I mean on fee when you take your BTC and sell them for USD/EUR. Anyway this thread is pretty old. I've figured it out by now don't you think...
355  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There has been 667 forks from bitcoin (altcoins), 3 this month on: October 22, 2017, 05:50:12 PM
Looking at this information, It just confirms that coins like Bitcoin Gold and other BTC forks wont succeed in long term. No one cares about forks.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Explain the concept of ICO's to a newbie on: October 22, 2017, 05:43:10 PM
The concept of 95% of ICOs can be explained like this (at the moment):
Give your money. Receive worthless coins. Developers will work for years. Everyone forget about the hype. Lose money.
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: BTC GOLD is mineable on: October 22, 2017, 05:32:13 PM
Only good think that will come out of this is a some portion of miners switching to mine Bitcoin Gold and lowering a difficulty on other coins for about next 7-10 days when they realize its no longer profitable and switch back.
358  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Case for Trezor Hardware Wallet - Kickstarter on: October 22, 2017, 05:30:39 PM
It's a nice idea but not a lot of people will have a use for it. It's not like we carry Trezor in our pockets all the time and checking on it every 10 minutes (like phones) so they don't really have high chance of dropping. Also I think you should do something about the screen. Add like a piece of protective plastic or something.
359  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Fees and Transactions on: October 22, 2017, 05:27:35 PM
Depends on a wallet. If a wallet let you set custom fee, always use that and then it should not really matter which one you are using (other than wallets that add their own fee on top of that).
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Segwit2X hardfork? can it be soft fork? on: October 22, 2017, 04:12:23 PM
And here it comes the Bitcoin Gold, which can full fill again the propose of original bitcoin. Btc now has become a centralized coin, just count the miners...
Hard fork is necessary for segwit2 activation

With all due respect you have no idea what are you talking about. Both Bitcoin Gold and Segwit2x are just hard forks of the original and completely unnecessary at this point in time.
