341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question to hodlers:How will you spend the money? on: May 04, 2024, 05:19:40 PM
It's a good idea to use your Bitcoin holdings' profit to diversify your investments even more among another niches of the market. You have mentioned some very good examples, like real estate, commercial businesses, purchasing pieces of land and renting it for passive income. There are many areas you can invest and make new sources of income from. You just have to be careful to invest in the kinds of areas which are more profitable inside the local reality you live, that is, areas which have high demand from the public around you.

For an example: you won't invest in commercial businesses where local residents don't have financial power to consume your services or products, however this concept of business is a very good idea where the population has better financial conditions to spend more often in a daily basis.

Therefore, someone's idea of investment might not be the most accurate one for you, because your realities can be immensely different between each other. For that reason, you are the one who has to develop the best ideas on how to spend your money for further gains.
342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do casinos require users to verify their identity through a KYC policy? on: May 04, 2024, 05:03:50 PM
I've read a lot of comments in this board stating that a user is required to undergo KYC if their account is suspected of cheating. Can anyone explain how it is necessary related to the subject?
Cheating can mean the gambler is using multiple accounts to take advantage of a casino's features or promotions. And by the terms of the casino, multi accounts is a forbidden practice, which is severily punished once caught by the house's operators. In order to find out if a gambler is doing such practices, the casino may demand KYC procedure from him, so he will inevitably have to provide different IDs to prove each account belongs to a different person. However, if a single gambler is using all the accounts simultaneously, he won't have how to pass through KYC procedure.

That is why it's necessary to undergo through KYC when the casino is suspecting someone is cheating on them. As we can see, both subjects are directly connected.
343  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 04, 2024, 04:52:02 PM
Seriously though. Wetsuit and Quinn, you guys really f*** things up for me.

Yeah it was just a measly 500 bucks but I needed that 500 bucks

This situation has had a severe impact on my mental health. I feel like I was so close to finally having something good happen to me, and now it's been taken away. My confidence is shot, and I'm feeling extremely overwhelmed and sad.

The loss of $500 for me has been a devastating blow. I'm a single father with three young children, and I was hoping to use this money to get a much-needed upgrade for our old car. I've been working so hard to make ends meet, and it feels like everything is against me. This was my one ray of hope, and now it's gone.

I've been struggling for so long, and I thought I finally had this one thing that would make a difference in our lives. I thought I could finally provide my children with some much-needed joy and enjoyment. But now it's gone, and I feel like I let them down again.
It's been really hard, and I'm struggling to keep it together. I don't know where to turn or what to do. I just want a better life for my children and myself, and this situation is destroying any hope I had left. I feel lost and frustrated and terrified.

I might just throw in the towel this time I'm done
Unfortunatelly there isn't anything else most members of this community can do for now, because all the expected procedures were already taken by you when creating a Scam Accusation thread at the respective section of this forum. You filled the complaint, and now what we can do is to wait for a statement from the platform. It's not the first time we are facing a scam accusation against freebitco.in lately. Last time, it took several weeks, but at some point they finally replied and solved the issue.

It's true now the problem is much more complicated than last time, it seems, but to get anxious, frustrated and stressed for that reason won't help you in anyways. It will just make your situation worse, for you and your children. First of all, if you are having financial difficulties to make ends meet, you shouldn't be gambling at all, because as we know, it brings long term losses, directly impacting our personal finances.

500$ is a decent amount of money, and you must be really missing it a lot right now, but keep in mind you can still continue working, saving money and managing your finances properly, avoiding gambling for now, since you don't seem like being able to afford losing funds. Although 500$ means a lot, it doesn't mean the end of the world too, anyway. It's retrievable and you can indeed do that by remaining calm and getting your head together.

Meanwhile, let's wait for a reply from freebitco.in's team.
344  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FreeBitco.in Appears Hacked - Monthly Prize Money Stolen From Multiple Users on: May 03, 2024, 04:57:35 PM
I advise everyone to refrain from making deposits until further notice, and to be extra careful when making withdrawals - I personally have a nice sum there, but I don't know if it's worse to do nothing for now or to still try to make a withdrawal Undecided
Just cashed out all my satoshis from the platform yesterday after reading all these news. Withdrawal went fine and arrived on my wallet without delays, as usual.

It really seems only a few number of accounts are compromised, although we can't give ourselves the luxury of playing with luck there, because if there are any flaws on the system, and support team isn't concerned about it, nothing prevent us from being the next victims.

Personally, I prefer to retreat while I can.

It's really sad to see this new bombard of complaints against freebitco.in right after the novel it took for them to solve an issue with another user which didn't have his deposit credited for 6 months of waiting.

We can't trust so much a service which completely lost touch with its community.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 03, 2024, 01:58:27 AM
$1,500 to return nearly $100,000, the Milwaukee Bucks are the last leg, would you cash out for just over 50% of the payout or let it ride? Let me know below. I cannot properly hedge this parlay so I can either cash out or let it ride.
50% of the payout seems a very decent prize already, so I see no reason to be greedy to pursue a 100% payout. You should be thankful for reaching this far, because it's no easy task. Considering the risks implied in taking this bet until the end makes the total payout not worth in my opinion. If we were talking about a more considerable reward to keep the bet, then we could think about the possibility. But considering the current scenario it definitely doesn't worth. I'm sure you can put 50% of the payout in good use by cashing out right now.

I know you are a lucky winner, but don't let greed take control of you this time. I remember you were having a nice winning streak some time ago, but put everything to lose due to your greedy behavior. You should have already learned by now. Make sure to guarantee what you have on your hands today, so you can keep playing tomorrow by placing new bets in further games which are still to come.

thanks for all the responses everyone, I did end up cashing out, when Lillard was confirmed to be playing the cashout went up a good bit so I couldn't help it

turns out I made the right decision! next stop, Cancun!
Very nice! Congratulations, enjoy your time! Arriba y arriba, muchacho! 🌴🍹🌅

Well, here the site is working fine. I made a withdrawal yesterday without any issues, and my balance is displaying correctly. Are you sure you didn't click any phishing links which could potentially guarantee hackers access to your personal accounts? You mentioned to have won a contest, which was announced to you through an email. Was that email really legit? Do you have any evidence of that contest email you clicked?
347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which device do you prefer for gambling ? on: May 02, 2024, 11:02:40 PM
Desktop is the best kind of device for gambling gameplay. The screen is large, luminosity is fine without you having to worry about running out of battery, you have a mouse and keyboard, which give much more accuracy to your commands. On the other hand, through mobile devices there isn't any accurancy when using your fingers on a small screen to configure your game settings, click the roll button, deposit and cashout your funds. Personally, I've never gambled at mobile devices, being them tablets or smartphones, because I think it's too risky something goes wrong at anytime.
348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamers using demo account on: May 02, 2024, 10:43:25 PM
How true is this rumor? This is very popular on our local streamer comment section that streamers is just using a demo account with enhance winning rate on all slot games to showcase huge win while they are playing.
Demo account doesn't necessarily mean the winning rates of the games were enhanced... I can't make any accusations, because I don't have any proof about that. More commonly, if they are playing with fake money through demo accounts they just have to be patient until facing a nice steak of winnings, so they can record this part of their gambling session and post on their channel on Youtube, for an example. However, for live streamers it's not that easy, because it may take a long time until they record a streak of consistent winnings. So, by there, the audience may have already lost interest on their content.

If a casino is really involved in adulterating the algorithm of a slot game or any other game offered by the platform in order to favour a specific streamer for a respective video propaganda, it will be heavily denounced as a scandal in virtual gambling industry, and it's likely the casino will face very harsh consequences towards the regulators and also the gamblers' community which will avoid their services at all costs from that moment on.
349  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC go back to $40K - $30K range before a bigger rally? on: May 02, 2024, 10:22:57 PM
I don't think bitcoin prices will drop as low as $40k again this year. Prices tend to be expected to rise higher as demand increases, but small corrections are always possible and will certainly be very difficult to avoid. Even if bitcoin were to test a lower support level, then there should be a good reason why that would happen. I don't see any good reason at the moment to predict the price dropping to $40k or lower, it's possible but very hard to imagine.
Probably Bitcoin isn't going to head to 40,000$ before the next big rally. The news today are pretty good for Bitcoin, what influenced its price to go back to 59,000$, almost reaching 60,000$ once again. MicroStrategy has announced another recent investment batch in Bitcoin, having acquired 25,250BTC in the first trimester of 2024.

Moreover, BlackRock Sees Sovereign Wealth Funds, Pensions Coming to Bitcoin ETFs. It means there is more money coming into BTC market soon, what can push the price to a new ATH, added to the fact it will be also useful to increase the optimism among other investors.

There are other stories of whales acquiring more coins these days as well: ‘Mr. 100’ buys the Bitcoin dip for the first time since halving — Is the BTC bottom in?

As we have been saying a lot lately, it was just a matter of time until those whales took advantage of the recent crashes in Bitcoin market to accumulate more coins for a cheap price, before the final big rally begun. Investors shouldn't do anything besides holding and waiting for the right time, although I believe some of them didn't resist and ended selling their holdings for fear of a deeper crash in crypto market.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online/crypto casinos the most profitable digital business? on: May 02, 2024, 10:12:31 PM
I can't think of anything more profitable at the moment. Although I don't know in depth the income from online casinos.
In my opinion it's already a very saturated niche of the market. There are many entrepreneurs investing a lot on their self owned betting platforms, although I don't think there is going to be enough demand for all their services. What happens is that these businessmen focus on the success few top companies are having these days and expect their businesses to achieve the same success and popularity. In the end, it doesn't happen, because the tendency is that the consolidated companies remain on the top, while all the others will compete among themselves for low traffic of gamblers and low volume of bets.

Do they make more profit than digital banks, CEX exchanges, etc.?
What gambling websites and what digital banks and exchanges you are using to make the comparison? You can compare the largest betting platforms to average digital banks and exchanges, so we will conclude the gambling portals are more profitable, although if you compare the average virtual casino to the biggest digital banks and exchanges, we are going to have the opposite result... Both can highly profitable, but it will depend on how large and influent your business is.
351  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will you do if you find yourself in a similar situation like this? on: May 01, 2024, 10:12:00 PM
Assuming you find yourself in a similar situation as this, what will you do? How will you handle the situation to make your parents trust you again?
Lol, this is a very harsh situation be into... First of all, I would try avoiding as maximum as possible to spend money which doesn't belong to me. When the person does this, it's inevitable to no be seen in a negative perspective by the family and everyone else, because it's an action similar to stealing or betraying someone... I fear he is only going to be able to retrieve his reputation and respect towards his father by replacing all the money lost somehow.

He may work and accumulate money to repay his debt with his father. If he is able to do this, even though it takes a long time and a lot of effort from him, I'm pretty sure his father will forgive him and start to respect the son once again, because he has shown to be worthy of through his genuine efforts in an attempt to fix his previous mistake. Maybe he doesn't even need to repay the whole debt, but only his good will can be already enough to show his father he deserves to be trusted once again!
352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You Submit KYC Before You Win Big on: May 01, 2024, 10:00:05 PM
My question for casino lovers is that instead of waiting until we win big and are asked to submit KYC documents, will you do it before the casino management or administrator request of it?
No, I won't. If there is no request for completing KYC process, why to do this voluntarily? It means extra bureaucracy and wasted time in a process which may never be requested from you by the house, so forget about it, unless the house demands it from you and you have to submit your personal informations in order to cashout a prize you have just won. Not only gamblers hate having KYC process, but also the casinos as well. The point is that they are enforced to introduce such feature on their platforms by the regulators.

Otherwise, they have no right to operate in many territories around the globe, what means probably many of the casinos we have disponible right now wouldn't be available in that case. For that reason, I'm sure they will do their best to avoid implementing KYC in high intensity as much as possible, and that is why we see only a small percentage of gamblers being requested to provide their data. They collect data only from a sample of the total userbase.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The first online cryptocurrency Casinos, when/who? on: May 01, 2024, 09:42:37 PM
I remember there was an old Bitcoin decentralized casino working through direct bets. There wasn't a personal account with a personal balance for each user. Instead, they sent the bet amount directly as a transaction to the casino wallet, and in case of winning, the casino directly returned another transaction with the prize to the gambler's wallet. It worked nicely, because fees were pretty cheap back then, and it was possible to send small transactions as bets paying low taxes.

However, I'm not sure the name of the betting service, neither if it was the first casino to come online or not. Maybe someone more acknowledged on this matter than me who also reminds this can answer with more accuracy.
354  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Hong Kong Bitcoin ETF Responsible for Recent Bear on: May 01, 2024, 03:44:33 PM
Bitcoin sinks to $57,000 to start May as investors brace for Fed rate decision

Quote
The central bank is widely expected to hold interest rates steady, according to fed funds futures pricing data.
Quote
Investors are looking for clues from Fed Chair Jerome Powell on what needs to happen before rates can come down.
It really seems the most powerful factor influencing Bitcoin's price right is the US economical policy which is still uncertain. Like we have seen previously already, interest rates by FED have to decrease in order to have Bitcoin's demand rising, and consequently its price.

Quote
Bitcoin investors expect a strong recovery in the cryptocurrency later this year, but say its price could continue to chop for the next few weeks given macro and geopolitical pressures.
Expectations are still good between 2024-2025 for Bitcoin, though. It's not hard to find predictions pointing Bitcoin is going to hit 150,000$ by next year. The problem is that there is a lot of bad things happening worldwidely which only contributes to the crashes in Bitcoin's price we are seeing.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that these bad things aren't going to cease anytime soon. The tendency is that conflicts and economical issues go further. So investors will have to inevitably rise the demand for Bitcoin at some point, while disregarding all the shit happening meanwhile.

Otherwise, there will be always a runaround or another to justify why Bitcoin isn't doing well...
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No gambling today due to bitcoin high transaction fee. on: May 01, 2024, 03:23:44 PM
I think that is no longer the case as the crypto has experienced a big dip during today and the fastest fee from the website "bitcoinfees.net" shows like 1.53 dollars to confirm in 20 minute so compared to that 120 dollars when it was when this thread started here I think we have come down quite a lot.
Yes, as people here have been saying since those news about expensive Bitcoin fees started going on, that scenario wouldn't last for a long time. Now we can see it indeed didn't last for too long, and now the fees are already pretty cheap back to the normal we have been used to. That is why people shouldn't despair for sudden FUD news which catch us by surprise. Another example is the current situation of crypto market, where prices aren't rising anymore.

It's another temporary issue, so people should just wait until things calm down once again. It's necessary to be patient and remain confident that issues may appear on the middle of the way, although their impact has only negative effects on short term, while the reward must be abundant for those who wait on the long term.
356  Economy / Gambling / Re: More revelations on the challenges of physical casinos on: April 30, 2024, 11:40:58 PM
Physical and online casinos have their peculiar problems. But this issue that OP mentioned is a result of corruption or insincerity on the side of the physical casino operators. In my area, many reliable physical casinos will never shortchange or defraud winners because they have a high reputation. Therefore these problems are caused by individuals and not the disadvantage of land-based casinos. We also know that there are also fraudulent online casinos that can deny winners their funds. They will give so many reasons why the gambler is not entitled to his funds and some of them even go to the extent of rug-pulling because they want to steal funds from bettors.
Yes, it's not an exclusive issue with physical casinos, as we can be also scammed by online casinos. In fact, it has already happened many times here in crypto universe and there was even a very popular virtual crypto casino being promoted here, which was flagged for that reason. I'm not sure if we could define if physical casinos are better or worse in this case, because it really depends from case to case. Thinking about it right now, I have the impression virtual casinos are still better, because reviews about them can be found instantly and in real time, from a wide range of players who bet from different places in the world, giving more legitimacy and neutrality to the reviews.

Physical casinos, however, have a more limited base of customers, what can prejudice the ability of gamblers when looking for reviews about the casino. After all, physical casinos are a falling kind of business, as the tendency is that virtual services replace most of them (probably more than 90% of them).
357  Economy / Speculation / Re: Something is seriously wrong with bitcoin markets. No liquidity? Should we sell? on: April 30, 2024, 11:23:35 PM
What do you think, is there a liquidity crunch and it makes sense to sell now because sellers will come in soon to take advantage of these high prices? Or does it make sense to just hold at this point?
Yes, we are facing some issues right now, since the whales aren't putting enough money in BTC, as firstly expected. I read some news right now stating that only 11$ million dollars were invested in Bitcoin through EFTs, against an expectation of 100$ million dollars. That is a much inferior volume which doesn't correspond what the market was waiting for. As consequence, we have a lot of negativity and pessimism from investors who also feel fearful about continue investing in BTC.

Those whales know about it, and that is probably their goal to cause this kind of FUD in the market, as they can crash Bitcoin's price to deeper levels this way, acquiring many more coins right after than they would at current rates. If you want to be manipulated by those whales, then go ahead and sell your 2 Bitcoins right now! They will thank you very much... However, if you are able to see ahead a little more than your current vision range can reach, I would say you to keep holding. Predictions are still good on medium term, as they say Bitcoin will hit 150,000$ by 2025.
358  Economy / Economics / Re: Your aging and retirement plan is your responsibility. on: April 30, 2024, 11:03:24 PM
Nowadays people have to be creative and smart to build their own retirement plans by themselves. The times you could rely on the government for retirement are gone... Those who still go through this route will have a bitter surprise once the time of their retirement comes, because it's likely there is going to be enough money to pay a decent wage to every elders, especially because the young generations aren't growing in large numbers in western countries, what will heavily impact the future of our next generation of elders.

Besides that, worldwide economies in general aren't doing well. Those who adopted Bitcoin and other kinds of profitable investments found a gap on the system to maintain their money growing and the patrimony prosperous, but the large mass of people in the world haven't, so they keep suffering the consequences by not seeing any financial improvements on their lives, what also difficults a lot planning their own retirement plans.

To take conscience of the changes happening in the world is the first step towards the right approach on this matter of retirement plans. It's indeed your responsability to find a solution for this challenge.
359  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Too much pressure on the male child on: April 29, 2024, 11:27:00 PM
The male child without money is not useless, they also deserve to live without being pressured!
The human being without money is useless. That is how society measures the worth of their citizens, which goes beyong beind a man, as we can also include women on this situation and every other categorizations such as age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation and so on... The pressure is over everyone! And each person finds their own way to try raising their personal value through another means, when they don't have money to do so. Then we have the political agendas pushing the rights of their respective groups upside, while denigrating and underestimating the other ones which don't fit their agendas.

And ironically, such movements end becoming only methods for the people leading them to earn considerable sums of the money they couldn't achieve through another means along their lives. Cheesy

With money comes influence, popularity and the worth they have been looking for so long in vain, although nothing really changes for the people who aren't in prominent positions inside such groups. Personally, I highly suggest you that instead of complaining about reality, you should do your best to overcome its obstacles and your personal challenges. Money is attached to autonomy, independency and access to quality material things in this world.

If you just complain, nothing will improve in your life. So don't conform yourself with the fact you don't have money and that it can remain like this forever without any issues. There are a lot of issues implicit on it, and you are the main prejudiced one if you keep this mindset you have.

Besides God, nobody is going to save you from your misfortune... And God doesn't act in our favour when we don't do our part of the job!
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don’t like the term “crypto” on: April 29, 2024, 11:04:52 PM
Like it or not, Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, anyway... So the term crypto is appropriate when talking about Bitcoin, its market and every other elements surrounding it. Many people used and still use Bitcoin for scammy purposes, such as running ponzi schemes and so on, but you don't dislike the term Bitcoin for that reason, right? So why should it be different with the term crypto? There will be always people using useful things for bad purposes, because such useful things have actually a neutral nature, which can be distorted into evil or used for good purposes, depending the individual who is manipulating it on the present moment.

Nothing changes the fact Bitcoin is the original, most important and worhtful cryptocurrency among all, though.
