341  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Turkey vs Trump on: August 16, 2018, 12:20:21 AM
Erdogan thinks too highly of himself, he should consider the repurcussions of his actions. His people (meaning the turkish people) are suffering because of it. People can't buy shit, their buying power has gone to shit. I hope he thinks carefully about his future steps, because this shit ain't lookin good.
Many countries in the world suffers from the rise of the dollar in addition to the devaluation of its local currencies.
The dispute between USA and Turkey is political. USA is hiding a criminal clerk (Turkey point of view of course) and refuse to extradite it to Turkey. Now when Turkey detained a criminal clerk (or at least considering the Turkish version), USA is forcing Turkey to return its angel back and when Turkey refuse since the situation should be solved in the court like any democratic country, USA made sanctions to some Turkish political figures.
USA under Trump is acting like a gang more than a civilised country. I don't know until now how could he passed the medical test before becoming a president!

343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think this year 2018 will be GREEN? on: August 13, 2018, 01:17:04 PM
This year is red. I don't know what will happen at the end of the year. I only see a big explosion of new altcoins.

It is too early to predict what will happens but all the signs are negative especially for altcoins. The only hope is that bitcoin recover to +$10,000 with some good news like ETF as said in the previous post... For ethereum it crashed badly and its supporters have to hold and buy so it can recover!
344  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-12] Stablecoins Gaining Popularity in India on: August 13, 2018, 09:27:20 AM
So the exchanges can not be stopped by RBI?

Since fiat aren't used, the Indian central bank cannot do anything. Stable coins are used as a safe heaven whenever there is a huge fluctuation in the price and when the trader wants to stay safe before trading it again to another coin or recently use a peer to peer service to exchange it to fiat contouring the RBI ban!

348  Other / Meta / Re: 2 suggestions to eliminate bumping services & the spam being encouraged in Anns on: August 12, 2018, 11:47:12 AM
1) Good idea but it should be restricted to certain sections only.
2) I prefer to offer 2 alternatives :
First one : ICO don't pay anything but the manager has to open a self-moderated topic and like the wall observer topic, all reports go to the manager and he is obliged to remove the spam or else the topic will get trashed.
Second option : ICOs have to pay a fee that goes to the forum mods to clean the spam out of the forums.

Point number 2, first alternative:
It will never happen. Some ICOs will pay the bumping service (reading the forum is around 50$) to bump their treads, I cant see how the manager can ever report the spam on own thread, more views, more clicks, more google researchs -> more money for bounty manager.

No self-moderated topic = trash can directly + OP ban.
No moderation to the self-moderated topic = trash can directly + OP ban + ICO prohibition on bitcointalk.

351  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-11] Bitcoin Eclipses 50% Crypto Market Dominance First Time Since Dec on: August 11, 2018, 07:58:32 PM
I don't get what's the big deal of having more than 50% Bitcoin dominance or less than that. Bitcoin supporters will continue using it forever and altcoin supporters will run in the first big drop Tongue
352  Economy / Economics / Re: Whether Getting Married At a Young Age Can Lead To Poverty And Make Poor Economy on: August 11, 2018, 03:47:08 PM
In third world countries, you find people getting married at a young age. I don't think it is a negative point if they are rich or if they have a job. The problem is poor, lazy and separated couples with several children...
In developed countries, it is a less common problem. In fact, children of those young poor parents will escape from their countries legally (graduated) or not (illegal migration).
353  Other / Meta / Re: Let's spam Bitcointalk - bumping services - auto-bots! on: August 10, 2018, 01:09:08 PM
They basically posted the same messages(not necessary in the same order) over several topics. I am not sure where to post this, as topic is "Let's spam Bitcointalk - bumping services - auto-bots!", I am not sure they are bots although their posts seems automated, they are spamming but probably not bump service as they bumped several scam topics, it looks like different approach to advertise product and this reminds me of Marine coin shills if anyone remembers them....or...they are spamming for their post count  Roll Eyes
I call auto-bots, everyone acting like a bot whether by posting plagiarised contents or repetitive useless spammy messages like "nice project" without any explanation. Some of those auto-bots are spamming to increase their post count (less now with the merit system) or to bump the topic to the top whether they are paid (bumping services) or not. That's why i made that title Wink

I should've just report them
Yes, we need to report them but they are too many for 1 person so better to collect them before topics being trashed ---> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4720640.0
354  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-09] Bitcoin-Friendly US Senate Candidate Defeated in Election on: August 09, 2018, 07:49:13 PM
Unfortunate or not, the usage of cryptocurrencies shouldn't be decided by politicians nor bankers, people should force it.
Anyway, the article cite other politician holding Bitcoin too.

357  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-08-07] Bitcoin Mining Giant Bitmain Has Big Plans for Small Texas Town on: August 07, 2018, 06:32:05 PM

Who would have imagined that cryptocurrency mining would be the key to making a former coal mining town in America great again?
The author is trolling Trump  Tongue
But he has a shitty summary like all newspapers..
So this small town called Rockdale in Texas has some economic tWoubles after the closure of all its coal mines! So Bitmain decided to create 300-500 jobs for a population of 5,861. Ok now the location is an old aluminum smelter and not the closed coal fire power plant!
Don't bother to read the rest, the author ruins it already.
358  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: August 07, 2018, 06:09:28 PM
I doubt we need additional motivation for people who otherwise don't care about the forum enough to report spam. Just like the sig-bounty "motivation" to create shitposts this would just cause new headaches.
People only need another push =] to join the signature campaign you need to have :
      - at least 25 merit
      - a tier 2 reporter badge
Another option is : you will get extra bucks for the previous two!

It's a recognition badge for people who are already motivated and let's leave it at that.
Too late  Wink
Anyway, mods seems enjoying more reports, no?

Edit :
I know I used the forum for a long time before I ever thought about using the report button and I would think many others are the same.
Indeed. Most of my reports are less than 6 months ago tho. After theymos announcement I add approx 10% more reports.
Prefer to stick in reporting and tagging duplicated topics & necro posting in the press section and sometimes take a look on alternate cryptocurrency and few local subs (abandoned some of it due to very active or totally inactive mods...)
Edit : oops I just checked the inactive mod and he got "fired".
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN UPDATE AND TECHNICAL ANALYSIS on: August 06, 2018, 07:35:23 PM
As long as BTC doesn't close below $6800, we are fine. As this could just be a healthy retracement in a bullish uptrend. If it closes below $6800, it will break the support and it could fall as low as $6000. Just put your stops in place if things go pear shaped.

I agree with you for the $6,800 level but since the situation is a little bit critical, I believe it is safer for the price to sustain above $7,000 for an easy run after the summer vacation.

Trump all the way, Trump deserve second term with what he is doing to reposition US in the committee of nations

Yeah I prefer to see Trump again.
Where can you find a brave man that could make Americans look dump again? (no offense for the cool guys who didn't vote).
In addition, trade war is so benefic for the American economy, who don't want to buy goods with +30% its old price?
Who cares about Canadians and Europeans? Why should US endorse Japan? Putin and Kim rox!
