Nice pics, thanks for sharing the winners!

Is the "Samantha" image tagged accurately with "New York City, China"?

Thank you for catching that mistake. We've corrected the post.

Transcript of what I thought when going through the pictures:

Code:
- Shit, I want that cap/T-shirt and pen
- Nice, Blazed got sixth!
- Many pictures from China
- Why is that Samantha chick in the top 10? Is she even holding BTCC coins?
- How does Simin's picture of a cat win from Blazed? You can't even see the coin properly
- Lincoln6Echo is second, nice.
- Damn coin@coin, your pic is niceee. From the ten pictures I have seen this definitely should have won.

Anyway, congratulations to all the winners. Enjoy the BTCC swag/coins!

Hi, the contest wasn’t restricted to BTCC collectibles. The second- and sixth-place prizes went to photos with Casascius coins in them, and the seventh-place prize winner was holding NastyFans coins.

Hi, not sure if you saw my question or not. Does the item have to be a physical Bitcoin or could it be any kind of physical crypto?
Thanks!

Hi,

Any kind of bitcoin collectible is acceptable, but hurry! There's only 13 hours left to submit a photo! You can submit a photo by emailing mint-contest@btcc.com. Please include the location where the photo was shot.
347  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [CONTEST UPDATE] Send us a photo of ANY collectible to win a 1BTC coin on: October 28, 2016, 12:55:34 AM
Hi, to clarify, for the purposes of this contest your name can be anything you choose it to be.

For example, you could submit a photo and say the photo should be attributed to "wheelz1200, Austin, USA" and that would be perfectly acceptable.

Sorry if we didn't make that clear in the OP. I'll add an update to make that clear.

B.     2 BTC off the purchase of a 2015 or 2016 25 BTC ("pre-halvening")...
The second link ('2016') is dead.

Only a week left before the photo contest ends! Submit a photo of *ANY* bitcoin collectible to get the chance to win a One Bitcoin Mint collectible!
Concerns from your T&S:
Quote
6.    By submitting a photo in this contest, you grant BTCC a royalty-free nonexclusive right, in perpetuity, to share the photograph on the BTCC website and the following social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
10.  By submitting a photo in this contest, you agree to BTCC's use of your first name and city and country of residence for promotional purposes.
This is too much IMO, and I'm pretty sure that quite a number of people have not read this.
I don't think it's too much if it doesn't include a head or even body shot. I have been in contact with OP and he tells me that a head shot is not needed in the pic.

Its not the head pic in question i think lauda is more concerned with first name, citry, etc to be used by the op as he wishes.

Hi everyone, this is just a reminder that you can win one of three BTCC Mint One Bitcoin coins if you participate in the BTCC Mint photo contest. To participate, send a photo of you and your bitcoin collectible, or just your collectible with a scenic background to mint-contest@btcc.com. The photos will be used to promote BTCC Mint products. Only four days are left before the end of the contest! Submit your photo now!
351  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Lowest Serials, BTCC Mint Half Bitcoin in Titanium on: October 27, 2016, 01:27:08 AM
I'll place a total of 9 bids at .65 each.  I already have 3 bids on 11,12 and 13, so the next 6 bids are for the next lowest numbers:
T00014
T00015
T00017
T00021
T00023
T00024
If I'm outbid on any of these 9 slots, just move my bid for the next lowest open slot at no more than .65 and no more than a total of 9 bids.  I will be away for the end of auction so I won't watch it then.  If there are no more spots open at .65 then I don't bid and my up to 9 slots get reduced accordingly.
Thank you!

Will do!  Wink Wink Wink

(re-post more of your own Half Bitcoins!)

How is your inspection before you send out coins ?

Hi, thank you for posting a photograph of your coin. We inspect all coins before they are sent out to ensure their quality. At the same time, though, a few scuffs, nicks, hairline scratches or other minor flaws might be visible on the surface of your coins. These result from the process of making titanium coins. Titanium is the hardest naturally occurring metal, so striking titanium coins it is very difficult and imperfections cannot be avoided. Please visit our FAQ for more on this topic: https://mint.btcc.com/faq

Thank you for the feedback.  You have outlined your point very well, and I understand.

Sorry this didn't work out the way you wanted.  There was no intent to mislead anyone on purpose, but you're right that we could have done a better job in transparency.  We will work on improving that in the future.  (Please remember that on our sales, we didn't promise that early orders will get the lowest serial numbers.)

We will release more coins in the future, and we will have to balance in when we sell and fulfill orders, versus purposely taking inventory out to sell at auction, for collectors to get the coin number they want.

In fact, we see this as a service to this audience, to sell all of the lowest coins in auction.
If you're willing, you can order and pay for the coin number you like.

Alternately, we could have just not auctioned anything, and even kept inventory for ourselves.

Hope you understand that this is a balance, and though doing very well, we are still new to this business.
Thanks for your understanding, and thanks for writing up the good feedback.

thanks,
Bobby

I'm willing... can I get T00003?  Grin

Sorry, I should have said:
If you're willing, you can bid and pay for the coin number you like.

thanks,
Bobby

I have to say this is a little cheeky as many people rushed to order from the website (including me) expecting coin numbers will be filled on a first come first served basis starting from the lower and instead they were kept (without mention) for a later Auction. The way I see it is: tell people we got a new coin released. Get people to buy as soon as they launch on the website/group buy orders (because you knew that would happen).
Then when sales slow down get their interest back with 85 low numbered coins.

Not ideal, and in terms of trust toward a company... Not good either.

Sad to see this, feel like I was taken for a ride. And the price of lower numbered coins is higher at 0.65 or 0.71 with FedEx, at least make the starting price the same as the website?

What should we do next time you release a new coin? Hold on until you guys decide to make an auction? Check with fellow collectors which numbers they got ordering from the website and wait accordingly if no low numbers are released?

May attract a few extra sales now but you may have lost the trust of many collectors on here for future releases.

I do like your coins, don't get me wrong, just you guys don't do yourselves any favours by selling this way.
Hope you manage to sell all your coins. I suggest in the future let people know when you release a new coin that lower numbers will be reserved for an auction.

Denarium does that, and many other coin manufacturers do too. First 10 coins are reserved for an auction, everyone knows they'll attract more interest. Just say it.
It's just fair and transparent and people knows beforehand what they are getting.

359  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Lowest Serials, BTCC Mint Half Bitcoin in Titanium on: October 18, 2016, 02:20:55 AM
Sorry if I missed this, but are the serial numbers actually engraved onto the coin?

Hi, the serial numbers are printed on a polyester slip that is attached to the back of the coin using a tamper-evident hologram sticker. Please look at the pictures above to see what the coins look like. The serial numbers above are for X00* coins, which are coins that we specially made for marketing purposes. Half Bitcoins for sale start with T***.
