341  Other / Off-topic / Re: In 20 years, what would you like to do with your bitcoin? on: March 05, 2016, 06:24:02 PM
Bitcoin hit $1,000,000:As many people said buy a mining device
Bitcoin hit  $1,000 again: save my bitcoins and hope for it to steadily increase
Bitcoin stayed where it was: i would probably keep doing what i do now
Bitcoin became worthless, or a few cents: i would be annoyed and would become less active in bitcoin
And which of these do you think is most probable?

In 20 years this seems to be most likely ting to happen. Since bitcoin has strong support from investors I don't expect it to become worthless.
Just a steady rise to maybe 2.5k

Bitcoin hit  $1,000 again: save my bitcoins and hope for it to steadily increase

342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much you have lost in gambling? on: March 02, 2016, 11:05:33 AM
I am a solid player. Not in for a big win or a big lose. So on average i lose max. .05 per game.
Which i can live with. And yes most of the times i lose, but the winnings make it oke for me to go on.
343  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin prices jump to $600+ in... on: March 02, 2016, 10:56:30 AM
Bitcoin is trending up. When will the price hit $600?
Please cast your vote and discuss.
why there are no options: later and never?
I don't believe we will go above $600 based on halving alone.
I haven't yet cast my vote.

I believe there are too many bitcoin beliebers here. how will the price go to 600 if there is so many resistance at 500 dollar.
It would take millions just to get the price to 500.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of gambling? on: March 02, 2016, 10:52:52 AM
My favorite gambling game is poker, not because you can make a lot of profit but due to the fact you can play it four hours makes it very  nice.

its of course also that you can make a lot of money with it but than you have to have luck and be good.

Poker is a nice game, but in general I like all card games. Since i am not such a dic eplayer card games got me intrigued.
The level of knowledge needed is higher and thus you play different kind of players.
345  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: March 02, 2016, 10:49:30 AM
It is always a good investment to buy 1 BTC, since BTC is inherently deflationary.

This means that in the long term it will always go up, so buying today is better than tomorrow, and so on...

If you want to spend your bitcoins then the price should not bother and the price is always good.
When it comes to speculation you should do some research as to where to step in.
346  Economy / Speculation / Re: $350 will be the bottom on: March 02, 2016, 10:46:30 AM
350 can be the bottom, but it won't. I think the real support can be found in the 300 dollar region.
But we will see when the real pump is over. Then the market will find a new low.

$350 is still the bottom for this year, and I think it will stay like this for the comming years unless some really bad news pops up. But what can be worse than all the stuff we have already seen? Not much I guess.
$350 looks really rock solid and we shouldn't get any lower, at least in the middle term. This support was already tested three times and withstand the rain of pretty bad news. The further we go, the better it looks on the charts.

This can be a new low. If you look at the pats months the price went steady around this price which makes a realstic to say till there and not any more down futher.
However there is no guarantee.
347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blocks are full. on: March 02, 2016, 10:30:18 AM
Well this problem was about to happen and i honestly don't understand why it's still a problem. How hard can it be to find a consensus in this story?
Wasn't the bitcoin community united?
Isn't bitcoin build cutting edge technology where we can vote to force a consensus?
348  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can we make success in Bitcoin Trading ? on: March 02, 2016, 10:26:43 AM
It's mandatory that you learn the tricks of trading.
Get yourself some ebook/mentor who can guide you.

Along the way you will learn how to read the market, predict movements etc. The next step would be to try it with little amounts and from there become a pro.
349  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price is bitcoin a good buy? on: March 02, 2016, 10:22:20 AM
For me the price at around 350 is a good amount to start investing more and more. Anything over it is too expensive.
Anything beyond it is a bargain.
350  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: March 02, 2016, 10:20:03 AM
Long term is not the best way for gamblers, if they keep on doing gambling for years and years they will end up loosing all the coins sooner or later. I think gambling can never be profitable in long term unless some people do arbitrage betting, which always gives profit.
yes true, gambling is not for the long term. but gambling is only for the short term.
example: I have been playing gambling a few years, and lost so much. compared to victory. and if I count I never get the benefit.

Gambling is for long term but can't give you profits for a long term.

One can do gambling even the rest of his life but really can't take much profits out of here even for a long run.

This is true. gambling is fun and tempting to do it full time. But to earn money with your gambling for you whole life is not possible. Even for the most skilled players.
Thing is you can't be concentrated and skilled all the time.
351  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Profitablity of mining (cloud or rig) virtually zero on: March 02, 2016, 10:16:39 AM
Please someone tell me I'm wrong, but i am a huge supporter or bitcoin and the concept of decentralization and have been doing some research about mining because i want to support this idea but i have not found one method that will yield in positive profits for new miners entering the market right now.

Even the S7 miner ($800 - $1200 USD) will generate 0.5%-0.75% daily ROI yield and this is excluding electricity cost, add the increasing Difficulty to the equation and the fact that Block reward is halving in the summer it is now increasing exponentially in negative profits.

Cloud mining is pretty much the same thing too Maintenance cost of these websites are ridiculous (Hashnest, CEX.io, etc) and if you come across something that brings up your hopes it ends up being a ponzi

am i missing something here, how are miners making there money?

I am happy we have a newbie who actually does some research and not just buys a miner and starts complaining afters.
Cloud mining is not profitable.
Mining can be profitable if you can get bulk prices and have a very low energy cost.

For the rest of us (home miners) it's not profitable.
352  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is cash outdated? on: March 02, 2016, 10:13:39 AM
No cash will not be outdated soon or coundn't be replaced completely with digital currency. There are lots of underdeveloped countries where citizens even don't know how to do transaction via bank.

No it's not,nor will it ever become obsolute. People are just usted to have used cash. Surely online payments gateways are nice and growing, but in the end
cash (something you can hold gives you security.
353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your favorite type of gambling? on: March 01, 2016, 02:28:33 PM
Sports betting, especially soccer. because I really like football. so I'm more excited if gambling in soccer. maybe your passion in a game. can help you to win.

passion can help improve your skill a lot, but it has nothing to do with luck, so it can help you win, but not so much. but it can bring the fun, the pleasure.

Indeed, I can help you a bit because you will get experience from it but you will never get more luck/chance from it to win, I think its just pure luck you need.

I mostly gamble with all games, mostly poker because you can play it for a long time and its also not just pushing a button.

you want to help me? to improve gamble skill? it's very nice, but no thanks, i'm not interested in that much. not that i don't like poker.
My favorite type of gambling is poker of course. It is so fun to do and I can play it for a long time so that is very good.
I hope later that more people will also play poker. But gambling is just bad to do. And that you must realize that.
354  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: March 01, 2016, 02:25:39 PM
You never know what can happen in 2020. It is very hard to predict and that is scary. You will never know what can happen later in the future.
But I think that Bitcoin will have a good future and that the value also is very high later, but yeah you never know.
355  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: March 01, 2016, 02:22:35 PM
Bitcoin of course. The value is much higher, and you can spend it also more. And that is very good for me.
You can buy things online very fast and that is quite good. And Bitcoin is also very safe and the online wallets are also very good to use.
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Steam accept Bitcoin soon? on: March 01, 2016, 02:19:41 PM
What will happen to the 3rd party sellers of Steam games for bitcoins? Now they are selling the games with big overhead. Will they readjust the prices after Steam launches Bitcoin payments or they will close up shop?

aren't third party selling the game for cheaper? why adding bitcoin as a payment should change this? i see no correlation, aside from the fluctuations of the market
It will be nice, if steam accept Bitcoin. I think if that happens, that Bitcoin will also becoming more popular.
And that will also good for steam. Steam will after that also be more popular so it is very good for both.
357  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Shop which accepts BTC on: March 01, 2016, 02:16:44 PM
In Philippines we have local exchange wallet here which really gives us more option to use our bitcoin aside from easy converting in to fiat. Coins.ph offers us some services like cellphone credits, paying bills, school tuition and many more.

We can also use our bitcoin in Lazada Online shop thru coins.ph.

CashCashPinoy too, an online shopping site accepts bitcoin too as mode of payment.

Seriously man? I never heard you can buy stuffs on lazada using our bitcoin, Huh I rarely use coins.ph though cuz I don't cashout that much.

I also use cashcashpinoy and so far satisfied with their service
There are not that many shops that use btc. It would be nice that we can pay in the future with btc.
Than you make btc also some more popular and that is very good. But the most important is that the value also must rise.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling be profitable in long term ? on: March 01, 2016, 02:13:10 PM
Not it can be profitable. Or you just must be lucky. And that is not a big chance to happen that so fast.
You never know what can happen later in the future. But most people lose always more money than they win money. And that is quite bad.
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 BTC = 1000$ in 2016 on: March 01, 2016, 02:09:08 PM
BITCOIN price will reach $500 but I'm not sure that it will happen within 2016 or after the year 2016.
I feel enthusiastic and happy to see such a price rise soon. This price rise needs to be stable.
500$ is easy level to bitcoin reach and maybe this year bitcoin will reach more high than before. I mean 1000$ is possible price for this year
Its hard to say about the value. You never know what can happen in the future and that is the problem.
I hope later of course that the value is going to rise for a long time so we can sell it with much profit and that will be very good.
360  Economy / Economics / Re: Tell me your predictions about Bitcoin on: March 01, 2016, 02:04:25 PM
Bitcoin will have a good future. I think that it will be more popular later in the future and that will be good for Bitcoin.
But you never know what can happen later in the future. It is quite hard to predict a currency.
