341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how dependent is ethereum from bitcoin on: June 03, 2017, 04:37:19 AM
Those coins which have a direct side chain of another coin could not be destroyed per se, but if the parent coin were to stop being mined, then the side tokens could stagnate and not have their own chains move forward.  However, if the parent coin was to cease being mined, the diff would drop a great deal and anyone with the capacity to host a few nodes could get it moving again.
342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blocknet about to blow? on: June 02, 2017, 06:00:40 PM
Blocknet has nothing to offer to set it aside from other exchanges and a few things that hold it back.  There is too much involved for it to go anywhere fast and not enough effort to get it going up to speed for a lasting life cycle.  The site and the exchange will implode soon enough and that could mean the loss of any coins that are there.
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First time miner/fact finding on: June 02, 2017, 05:42:40 PM
You should buy two things to get started. An ASIC and a moderately cheap PC.  The idea of your early mining should be this.  First, ignore the huge, established coins.  There is simply no way that a normal person and/or household is going to plug anything into their wall and start churning out actual Bitcoins.  There may be a trickle there that seems like you have hit the bank, and then the electric bill comes and you have gone backwards.
344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin pump groups on: June 02, 2017, 05:32:22 PM
There are some groups and sites out there that openly demonstrate the push of various coins, but not many and they are not populated by those that do the biggest pumps.  If those people/groups were to publicly post something like a "schedule" for a certain coin, then the pump would likely fail. .
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: June 01, 2017, 10:13:11 PM
In a game everyone likes a profit.Because the word game only have two meaning a winner and a loser.Every gambler aim for a profit.Sometimes you dont care people wether they dont understand you because you play where you have a profit. It doesn't matter wether you get hurt somebody just to win and have profit.
Because no gambler wants to lose the game

Do not even try to give these people advice, they are just playing the drama queen card.  There is no long term system on the kinds of sites that these guys are using and that is if the truth is being told.  Most of the comments here are either lies just attention getting techniques. Its a gambler decision to play with profit and keep out the profit and play with principal amount.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [FIDGT] - FidgetCoin - X11 - PoW+PoS - Bounties + Giveaway - Buy Fidgets - on: June 01, 2017, 06:22:08 PM
I like it when a coin has a connection to a real resource, or at least claims that it does, lol.  In the world where a new coin appears every five seconds, an investor has to have something that gets their attention.  i am not saying this coin is good, nor bad, just that there is at least the attempt to create value where there is initially none.

347  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: June 01, 2017, 06:07:11 PM
Just used to explain what's an digital currency. If they get an base from my words then I'll be continuing to show the wallet and the virtual availability in numbers which doesn't have any physical form and the price variation chart from the day it started usage in various forms.

Once that initial foundation has been built, you have to give new people a little room to grow and watch for the questions.  There is too much to just throw it all at them and expect them to absorb it.  Give them the basics and then wait and see where their knowledge takes them. Surely and slowly they will get used to this new currency.

Where I find mining topics? How profitable is mining Burst?

You can try the Burst discord if its helpful come back and give my account a trusted rating. im doing my best to get involved in the community and help as much as possible.
Also a newb developer learning everything about this amazing TECH.

I believe if you believe in BURST than mining should be profitable more in the long term. It really seems like the believers in the tech who hold through all the crazy swings will be the real winners in the long run when we see the moon.

 1) buy and hold
2)mine and hold
3) backup all your wallets off an exchange for a long hold BURST WILL HAVE ITS DAY ON THE MOON! Wink

Hope I was helpful

I reviewed permissions and all the settings on dropbox, all are in order.  At this speed, I would have the use 2.5 GB plots and upload them via the site interface.  It would take weeks and a lot of pain in the ass efforts to establish even a 5 TB dropbox plot set.  Any thoughts? Experiences?

Here’s the issue, for whatever reason, working with dropbox through Netdrive has become very slow and very problematic.  The “unlimited” space breaks down into 5 TB chunks when used in this way.  Moving a small 50 GB plot was so slow from my house that it fails before completion.  All the way down to a tiny 2.5 GB plot, the speeds are creepy slow.  I read in the terms that dropbox has a 10 GB limit, but even under that bar, it is slower than you can imagine.  My internet at the house is nearly the same as the office and this is the same house where I used dropbox during the first experiment.
349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of many reasons why I love bitcoin on: May 31, 2017, 05:24:51 PM
Most of my time on the internet at least produces the introduction of new knowledge into my world.  There are times, more often than I care to admit, however, when a few hours will disappear jumping from one useless article or video to another.  I will look up something that I was interested in or that I needed info on and then find myself following one vaguely interesting link after another until I am so far from the original subject that no one could find there way back.  But with bitcoins now i always work online trading and services which involves bitcoin making my time spend valuable.

I do this a lot with YouTube, looking up one video and then clicking on video after video in the sidebar, never going back, just one after another.  It doesn't happen often and rather than looking at it as wasted time, it would have been spent in some other pursuit that is equally as pointless, in those times when the mind needs to stop thinking and just look at pretty pictures moving by.  Bitcoin has saved my time and i also earn good now. Thats why i love bitcoins too much.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [NAUT] Nautiluscoin - First Coin w/Stabilization Fund - Digishield on: May 31, 2017, 05:06:27 PM
New developments!
Naut.systems will integrate cosmos ! 🚀

Is the digibyte team still involved in this coin?
Digibyte really been involved in Nautiluscoin? How   Shocked

People need to understand that there are only a handful of real hard coders in the crypto arena.  Putting together an alt coin is really pretty easy, the system prep ahead of time is more of a pain than the modding of the original/forked code and the compiling of the coin.  The dev community breaks down into a small group that devs and codes coins for themselves and others, new business people that slide through on a concept or idea and barely manage some copied and modified code and a bunch of people that understand just enough about the process to produce coins, but not enough to really run a coin or properly add a new concept to a new alt coin.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: May 31, 2017, 03:56:59 PM
I really hope poloniex will fix sia wallet very soon!
This is not good for SIA I think its price wont go up until wallet is fixed

On the other hand, you can always buy SIA at Bittrex and sell when Polo will fix sia wallet.

I am also curious on Poloniex wallet maintenance of Sia. Most of my Sia are in Poloniex and some in Hitbtc. Great to see them finally in Bittrex.

I will take another look, but the issues that I had before were not so much with the coin or the coding behind it, rather with the level of documentation that was available.  It was a matter of hitting two to three different sites to find out exactly how the farming worked and then another site or two to find a place to see some stats on the addresses that were being used.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10th of June Digibyte in Minecraft? Will it blow? on: May 31, 2017, 03:30:38 PM
It is hard to say.  We have seen the info go around here and other Crypto places a few times, but my kids play Minecraft hours and hours per day and I have not seen one single mention on the console.  I may not be looking at the right time, Minecraft is typically pretty quiet about things in the console interface and it may not even make it in that version for another update or two.  I would say that things depend on the effort that the devs put into announcing and pushing things from within the game itself.
353  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: May 30, 2017, 05:19:57 PM
Of course..
With the help of bitcoin, many unemployed people have found an opportunity to get involved in a work.so they can earn money from the bitcoin. It's really a good platform of getting employed. So you can say that the bitcoin is a blessing for unemployed people.

That does mean that in the technical sense that fewer people were “not employed”.  However, Bitcoin, as well as other payment systems, like Paypal before Bitcoin, did two other things.  The number of online businesses increase and thusly the number of online business owners, and also created income for many that was never reported to any official record keeping service.

Has anyone ever had issues using dropbox with plots?  When I first got started with Burst, I experimented with using Netdrive and various cloud storage services, mainly OneDrive, Dropbox and Google Drive.  I remember not having any issues at all after a short period of tweaking.  It was just an experiment and I went back to using our local hard drives because they are free and using more than the “free” amount of cloud services was going to increase the mining cost and the free amounts were too small to matter.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining LITECOIN on ASIC USB Miner is profitable ? on: May 30, 2017, 03:30:21 PM
I would suggest adding a site like miningrigrentals to your system.  Most mining on older, established coins is not going to turn a profit, because of the diff being higher.  That comes from the coin being mined for many months or, in this case, years.  There are sites, like the one I mentioned, that allow you to rental out time on your rig for BTC.  If you sign up on one of these sites, then you mine as usual, pointed to the site.  When no one is renting your rig, it is forwarded to whatever URL/Stratum you set on the site.  When it is being rented, you receive the rental income.
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of many reasons why I love bitcoin on: May 30, 2017, 01:48:45 PM
Price, that makes me love bitcoin more. Bitcoin has helped many people in the world who plunge in it to earn a more decent income or even make bitcoin as a source of income.
Haha same as me. Too many people here love bitcoin because of its price. The price always goes up no matter how the economy goes. And because of that fact, more and more people decide to move their money to bitcoin

Yes, it seems the price really matter now since that's the only thing that makes bitcoin so popular, but since the transaction ask too much fee many were unconfirmed yet, people are getting annoy but despite of this, the value is getting higher and higher. Those who have many bitcoins with them now would be felling really lucky as price is doubled in just 5 months and still going further up.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese Airlines to accept bitcoins soon on: May 30, 2017, 01:12:04 PM
Good news , now the bitcoin will be more popular on japan

I guess bitcoin is totally popular in japan already that why they have this move Smiley , actually japan is one of the most advance countries in terms of technologies, that is why no wonder they use bitcoin for this kind of transaction and it help more to promote bitcoin to those who pass through airplanes.
I think soon we will see bitcoins in every industry.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The first bitcoin bank! on: May 30, 2017, 12:54:31 PM
I hope this ain‘t real. I am a trader so this is bad thing in my part, for sure people will prefer to use bank for their transaction, especially those who buy big quantity of bitcoin especially now that the value is gettig higher and higher so it is more risky to buy coin to a strangers like me but we will lose our opportunity to earn.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [vDice.io]►Ethereum Blockchain Gambling►►PRE-GAME ANNOUNCEMENT on: May 28, 2017, 04:52:05 AM
The vDice platform is proud to make this pre-announcement, launching it’s the newest game shortly. This represents the 1st game on the vDapps platform.

vSlots

The first game on the vDapps section will be our unique take on a slot machine, implemented entirely with Ethereum Smart Contracts.

This is not the official announcement. This is a preliminary announcement for our fans. We will be making the official announcement shortly, once the game is live.

The code is here. It is currently undergoing review and 3rd party audits. Front-end developers and designers are also in the process of completing the APIs, HTML, CSS and Design.

.....

It's nice to see Vdice development especially when bitcoin value keep increase , it impact on ETH as Vdice's currency so it become great investation option.
While people racing to invest bitcoin as much as possible, I'm keep invest on ETH and I'm watching this currency will compete bitcoin , one day

The continuous development in Vdice site and introduction of new games is really interesting and it keeps the visitors opportunity to play more new games and dont get bored from the old games. With the recent increase of bitcoin prices, many people will prefer ETH to gamble and vdice is the best choice for them.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: May 28, 2017, 04:27:15 AM
Maybe it's because too busy With their lives  Wink

I guess they will be interested in bitcoin if they want to be more richer and invest their money in crypto currency since the value is increasing rapidly but since bitcoin cannot access more in physical market. I guess their interest will be less on this. Rich people are not interested in the technology, rather they want to expand the current business which they are running and earning.
