Hoping magic smoke is not the cause of this  Sad or else ROI is screwed.

I have a lot of respect for group buys - some work out well, others fall apart and who do you complain to when it all goes wrong?

Good luck with it though!

Your point is on the money as well , Best of luck  Smiley
345  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 10, 2013, 07:30:49 AM

I strongly believe that freezing the asset at this point is a very bad decision. Freezing would have been good before the panic to give everyone time to think it over and get the information needed to make a decision. However, now the panic is over, people had two days to think about it. If someone wants to sell, they will, freezing just makes life much harder for everyone and creates additional uncertainty.

I think that the best strategy at this point is to let the dust settle and find out how we proceed. If you still think that you want to freeze the asset, I think that it would be a good idea to set the exact time when you want to do it and give at least a one day notice. Just to make things clear and predictable.

+1 , Even i think freezing asset doesnt make sense , unless Lab rat has some more info & reasons behind this move other than to stop panic selling.

Build a ice box for it, I shall!

Submerge it in non conductive oil.

Way over priced compared to other group buys which provide 24/7 hosting till miner is dead Smiley

For 399$ last month we could buy about 16.5 Gh/s  based on KNC miner group buy , .....  already hashing.

And too much heat !  My apartment is like an oven with just one running..

I have a better idea for how to get everything square with the hardware only hashing 50% on both group buys.  How about this:

  • When the other Jupiter gets here, I'll get it out, configure it, and put it back in the box.
  • On Tuesday morning I'll ship it down to hosting.
  • Once it arrives on Wednesday and starts hashing - bringing us up to 100% of the promised hashrate on both group buys - I'll do a manual payout from BTCGuild so we have all the 50% funds in the GB wallets that we've made to date.
  • Once all the 50% hashing funds are in the wallets, I'll match them both to bring the payout up to what 100% would have been

That gets everything caught up immediately without having to worry about needing to catch up in the future at a higher difficulty.

We'll run with one Jupiter here, the other in hosting until the third machine shows up.  I'll immediately get that configured and shipped off so that we have both GB machines running down in Missouri.  Once it arrives, I can decommission the box at my house at my leisure, configure it for my own pools, and get it shipped down there without affecting the group buys in any way.

Comments Huh

Sounds good as long as both R5 & R6 owners have recovered the amount of BTC during the down time & hashing at half the speed. Smiley

all use users of the platform need to liquidate

This is not correct. As far as I'm able to understand, BitFunder is working as usual for all non-US citizens. Except that you need a verified status on WeExchange after 1.November. That probably means passport scan + proof of residence address.

Correct.
354  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 09, 2013, 07:25:51 AM
Off topic , I not from US so if any one needs help in buying cheap shares I am ready to help for FREE ! to begin with.

Thanks, nice of you.

But as I understand, until Nov 1 there is nothing to stop US residents to buy and sell shares. In principle they are not allowed, but in practice they can. Only after that point will be verification required to buy and sell and only after then will this be enforced.

I don't think u can buy stuff if you are from US on bitfunder , I plant to simply buy the shares for you & transfer them to your account on bitfunder , I don't hold any shares on any ones behalf.
355  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Interest Check] $2.99 (~.0241BTC) per GH/s, January delivery on: October 09, 2013, 07:20:09 AM
I'm interested in 0.99 BTC per 40 GH/s. Although 0.0241 BTC per GH * 40 GH = 0.964 BTC only.

But that does not factor in discount does it ?  Wink

I have no doubt Lab rat will be able to continue else where with LRM bonds , but bigger threat is to the basic structure of LRM future funding, trading shares was a way to generate revenue for purchase of future hardware along with 25% of dividends deduction on each payout , how does LRM plan to overcome this & how are shares to be traded , this is the big question for me.
359  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: October 09, 2013, 03:13:52 AM
So are we set for a bigger dividend this Saturday as number of shares sold has gone down due to Panic selling Huh
