Hey, i'm new to the bitcoin world and looking to purchase my first btc.

If anybody would like to take a chance on me and sell me my first bitcoin, I'd greatly
appreciate the chance to learn the process.

I can pay $11 USD in return via paypal or your choice of an online gift card.

347  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie restrictions on: September 09, 2012, 06:29:17 AM
I've never seen a forum that has a restriction on new posters. Just serves to turn people off I'd think.

BitcoinTalk must think they're really that special Smiley

Possibly

But honestly having to lurk for hours and interact with the community I would think serves to steer away kids who are looking for a quick scam.

I don't quite know how to respond to this, being that it is a Bruce Wagner situation.

Knowing what most of us know about Bruce Wager, well, he is an opportunist.
If he was in fact using Bitfloor, then his claim definately has validity.

But, being the opportunist that he is, I think he may simply be using a known situation to procrastinate, or give him further excuses as to why he is unable to do something.

Bruce claims to be the most famous person in Bitcoin and a bitcoin expert, but if you have ever taken the time to listen to one of his interviews or watch his old bitcointv videos, it's quickly revealed that he is a complete idiot and knows far less than he would like to admit.

As I said, he is an opportunist and he will throw himself into the current mix of recent events just to become a part of them or to play a victim's role in it all.

Bruce Wagner can not be trusted.

This is honestly been my understanding of Bruce Wagner based on people talking about him in multiple different communities.

Although I cannot say for certain, due to the fact that i've never actually seen one of his videos, dealt with any of his ventures, or spoken to him directly.

When there's that much bad blood between the bitcoin community and one person, I'm wise enough to stay away.

annoying for new users like myself, but honestly I understand.

and i'm sure it makes for a healthier community in the long-run
353  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Biggest Scam Ever!! on: September 09, 2012, 01:28:23 AM
Yeah I just learn about this and I didn't know that most of people here already know. We must find a way to reach a massive amount of people to learn them about this and the bitcoin alternative.
Unfortunately, Bitcoin is still too complicated to grasp for most people, and too dangerous. They're not security experts, they're mostly dumb fucks (pardon the french) when it comes to securing their data. We can't blame them, the Average Joe is just not into this kind of stuff.

I think Bitcoin has to evolve a bit more (in terms of client usability, and ease of securing your money) before it's suitable to be picked up by the masses.

Honestly, I completely agree with this
