341  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: December 22, 2017, 11:13:35 AM
For me, I just use electrum since it is quite easy to use and very much secured. It also does not require you to download the whole block chain which is pretty annoying to do since it is quite big and the download is super slow. But, some people do prefer the full node wallets, I would still just use electrum since it's feature rich anyway. I don't think there is a lot a full node wallet can do that electrum cannot do.
342  Economy / Speculation / Re: I Am Seeing RED !! on: December 22, 2017, 11:08:52 AM

The  cryptocurrency market right now is turning into a sea of RED...with almost all coins down not just with Bitcoin! I am sure that this can go down as one of the major corrections experienced by the market but just like in the past what goes down will also go up...we just need a little more time for things to settle down and get normal again.

This big dip is the best opportunity for anyone who has the money to buy cryptocurrency at the cheap rate and then make good profits when things will be normal again in a few days. Surely, things can get worse before they can get better. I am just holding on and just continue on watching the market go redder minutes after minutes until things can subside.

As to Bitcoin, what is your best prediction at the level it will stop sliding? The best answer will get a very special rpize from me...because I am the Bitcoin Santa Claus for 2017!

People are cashing out from alts and turning to bitcoins as I see that bitcoins are going up. If this gets enough traction, bitcoins could reach a new all time high since it came from a very low starting point. This could catapult bitcoins to extremely high price level of even beyond $20,000. But well, we can't really say for sure until it does also pump up. We'll see in the next few days.
343  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: https://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/ - is not working on: December 22, 2017, 11:04:41 AM
Oh so that was why it was no longer working. I guess now the account farmers will have an extreme hard time to assess accounts and sell them since there is no way that sellers and buyers can truly tell what the accounts are. Though I only used it for purposes of checking my current activity and when it will rank up, now it is gone. Now we don't really have a reliable way of checking on our accounts.

But maybe someday there would be a work around.
344  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: December 22, 2017, 10:52:57 AM
Well, most of us know that there are many types of scammer but all in all they scam for money.   This is their way in earning money without having sweat but cheating many people.  This guys do have knowledge but they are using it in illegal way for just money.  The rationale is it is their job or shall we say this is  their way of living.

The reason is quite obvious. These scammers are quite lazy and they just want to earn a quick buck. They are low lives and a scum of this earth for not working legitimately like everyone else. Though I think those people that get scammed in investments scams are equally lazy as they want to also get a quick buck and get unbelievable interest income.
345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin expectation end of 2018 on: December 22, 2017, 10:45:38 AM
That's too far ahead, but just imagine if we would do even half of what bitcoins did this year, then $50k is nothing. Bitcoins jumped from $800 to $20,000 (its all time high) in less than a year! That's amazing. That is 25x since it started this year. Imagine if it would even do just 5x. Then $20,000 x 5 = $100,000 by the end of 2018. It's quite possible I think!
346  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 1 Year in Cryptocurrency still no luck earning bitcoin. Need some real advice. on: December 22, 2017, 10:18:21 AM
Give up...

I don't think it is that hard to earn cryptocurrencies. If you are doing shitty things like faucet farming, giveaway abusing (probably not the right term, but whatever), or joining bounty campaigns of shit coins and ICOs, then just forget it. There is no chance you will ever get a bitcoin that way. Do some real jobs and get paid in bitcoins, that is always the best course of action.
347  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading strategies on: December 22, 2017, 10:01:51 AM
Does anyone here have a trading strategy where they look at functionality or the development team behind the coin?

That is called fundamentals. You look at the fundaments of the coin similar to how they do it for stocks. An investor studies the development behind the coin and they invest on it if they see a good development to it. It is a good strategy for the long term since you are looking at it in the long run for your investment. Investing in something good that would last is a good investment.
348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple will be $ 3 at the end of the year! Or not? on: December 22, 2017, 09:58:48 AM
I don't think it would be since you all are just investing on an alt. It may be possible, but not within next year. Right now it has broke the $1 barrier that is has grown a lot since it started pumping. But I do think, like Bitcoins, this would entail that there would be a market correction for it. People will likely want to cash out their profits from investing in XRP.
349  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Charlie Lee Sold his Litecoin for "Conflicts of Interest" on: December 22, 2017, 09:57:00 AM
Yesterday, Charlie Lee sold his Litetcoin. He said he was doing it because of the "conflict of interest" that arose as a result of talking about Litecoin. What are your opinions of it?

I think that he has a point. Although he may have no monetary incentive for Litecoin to rally, he has every other incentive to see it succeed. It was his creation and he has his name to it. By not holding the coins, he can easily sing its praises without having to worry about accusations of "market manipulation".

That is much less that can be said about other coins in the cryptocurrency ecosystems.

https://www.coinbureau.com/analysis/litecoin-founder-sells-ltc-avoid-conflict-interest/

I see the point of this discussion, since that means that he does have the freedom to get involved and not be called out for influencing the market. Unlike what the Ethereum foundation has been continually doing. They have been pushing for its price to go up since they hold a huge chunk of the whole ETH supply. But well this is like being a founder owner of a big business. You want it to succeed because it is your work.
350  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you see the bitcoin economy 10 years from now? on: December 22, 2017, 09:51:09 AM
It could stand the test of time or it could die just like that. But the thing is bitcoins are a testament to what we could do even without a central authority. The problem is that the model of bitcoins is pretty much just driven by demand and supply, which causes great volatility especially when the buyers don't really want to use it but just want to buy for speculative purposes.
351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sold everything on: December 22, 2017, 09:45:35 AM
Did you sell it because you saw it going down or did you really plan to do this? I don't think it would have been wise to sell now since it has dropped a lot. Probably you did a panic sell and likely you will regret it when it goes up. However, if it does still go down, then you made a good choice. Just remember to buy back when the time comes it reaches the bottom.
352  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does the bubble already burst? on: December 22, 2017, 09:32:29 AM
Nah, it is just a normal correction. You don't have to spread FUD around that this is a bubble and that bubble has already burst. This is not the case, bitcoin is never a bubble, the problem is that people keep on holding and not really spending it, but there would come a time that it will be used like currency and that will change the world as we know it.
353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason behind Bitcoin Dip (Crash) on: December 22, 2017, 09:30:53 AM
It's just basically a correction since bitcoins has went up tremendously in the past couple of weeks. This is just a normal thing that usually happens with bitcoins whenever it goes up really quick. Two things might happen, it could stay at this level or it could possibly go back up to $20,000 and go past that level of trading again. Who knows, it's pretty hard to predict when it does go up and down.
354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can you save money while playing gambling games? on: December 22, 2017, 06:14:13 AM
Its simple, put limitation to yourself so you can save money for your savings, we must know our wants and needs. Our wants is just not really important, we need to know the differences between the two so we can still save money while we are playing gambling.
Earning bitcoin on gambling is one of the easiest methods but also it is the most dangerous method because the amount of coins you are earning, you have also a risk to lose all of them just in a moment. While gambling, one must know how to control his emotions and should not be greedy because greed is a curse and it can make a person to lose all his/her coins.

Easiest, is no where near what earning in bitcoin gambling is. It is actually extremely hard to win anything from gambling itself. There is little chance that you will consistently be able to double your money in gambling, that is why it is gambling. It's actually a business, and this kind of business is earning from gamblers who thing they can win big from their business.
355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what impact has gambling make in your life? on: December 22, 2017, 06:07:46 AM
Well for me, I learned the value of money. I never did save money before I started gambling. I usually just overspend and roll over the extra expense onto the other month's salary or allowance. Though when I lost shit tons of money on gambling, I learned that money is something so hard to earn and it should not be wasted in things that aren't important.
356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling. Is It Wrong? on: December 22, 2017, 05:57:13 AM
All gamblers always assume that gambling is wrong because they feel unfair and loss in every game, I've experienced it, but there is a point where the mind must be completely clean and return to the game without a mission in addition to fixing techniques and emotions that were previously very chaotic. Assumptions will change if we can be more comfortable in a stable start to profit, and negative thoughts will fade over time.

Are you saying that gambling is not a wrong doing? I don't think any games in gambling have been made to let the players win. Its a deception. No one wins in gambling than the house itself.

Your line of argument is flawed here. Gambling was never deceptive, it never said "you will always win or win something in the end" it has always been "get the chance to win" or something along those lines. There is was no deception there so why was it wrong? Also, what the thread is saying is it wrong to gamble, on the side of the gambler himself and not the gambling site.
357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: December 22, 2017, 05:51:44 AM
Yeah, I think experience might be quite helpful in gambling. As some gamblers who would have been gambling from a long time might be able to think calmly and they most probably won't take any quick and harmful decisions while gambling. Where as if you see newbies, they would just bet without actually thinking much about it. Also experienced people would know when to stop but inexperinced ones wouldn't.

That is true, experience is nothing in gambling, there is really no use for it. It is something we can do without in gambling since even a newbie has a chance of winning equal to those people that have been gambling for years and can already be called a veteran. Probably the only gambling games you can use experience is games that use skill like poker.
358  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the house always win???? on: December 20, 2017, 07:40:06 PM
...

Even if you factor in the HE element, your chances are still 50/50. So, let’s suppose you bet $100 and HE is 5%. When you lose you lose 100$ but when you win, the House pays you just $95. After an infinite amount of times (just for illustration purposes), you will still have won 50% of the times (and lost the other 50%), but you will have lost money due to being paid less when you win.

Where did you learn this brother?  Shocked

You're really stupid not to know it, he's just stating something quite obvious. Statistically if you use a 50% chances of winning that would mean in sample of 1,000,000 bets, that would mean you will likely win 500,000 times and you will also likely lose 500,000 times. However since there is a house edge that means you would win (based from the example of 5% and at a bet of $1 per bet) $475,000 and you would have lost $500,000. Which means you lost $25,000 in case you rolled 1,000,000 with a bet of $1 and 5% house edge.
359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: December 20, 2017, 07:33:13 PM
As i know gambling is all about luck and how to control my greed, except sportbetting (of course need skill and strategy).
Gambling adiction is csused of lack of self control when this things happen you will start to ruin your life or even losing your everything your money and your family, before this things happen you should imposed self discipline and self control.
I have experience in gambling (casino), somtime i hit big only with faucet or free money and i can withdraw from that. but because my greed i always want more and more, then i'll come again with my money as bankroll. Bet more and hope win more, but because of that i'll lose my money little by little and usually i'll stop after my bankroll to be "0". I call that with greed.
Anyone here have any suggestion to control my greed? Let me know.

We all know that once we get addicted in gambling it's really difficult to control greed and addiction. You really need to be disciplined if you want to control your hunger for gambling. You need to understand that when you gamble, the chance of losing is higher than winning.

You didn't post anything, you just quoted someone and that was it.

Anyway, about what s0beit said, I would agree that it is hard to get a control over greed and addiction. That's the number of enemy of a gambler. It is when he still tries to double his winnings and still keeps on going, without thinking that it could possible be lost in the roll. I would say that most gamblers are cocky and as a result they lose what they already earned.
360  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcoin closing poker for good on: December 20, 2017, 07:10:31 PM
Let's all face it, poker is not something casinos profit from. This is the reason why there aren't much good poker sites to play on. Also this is one of the games that is skill based, well not purely but a huge deal of skill is needed to be successful. This means that it has a really big learning curve for newbies that will cause them to quit before they reach the point they make a profit.
