Does anyone know what time Gox will make the announcement? Only 11 hours left until Tokyo begins their work day.
I believe people with insider info should be making it obvious where the market is heading just before the announcement!

Why do they even bother buying and selling? I guess they are hoping they will get their money back. Lets hope they can solve their "technical glitch" by monday and everyone gets their money back.
If people do get their money back, most probably half their volume will be transferred over to bitstamp or btc-e. Maybe a new exchange will pop up. How can you see this affecting the prices? A sudden rise maybe, due to the fact that people are converting to bitcoin to transfer the money out?
If people dont get their money! Well! Maybe a loss in confidence in the system, a drop in prices? In the long run an increase in price due to decrease in overall bitcoin circulation?

Mercury was also BARELY gonna hit ROI when it was released.
I think you need to factor in the expected price increase. Which of course is speculation, but long term, it will most likely be profitable by a large margin. It all depends with perspective you approach your look at your mining "investment"
But again, if the price will increase that much then you might aswell just invest by buying coins. Litecoins or bitcoins |

Minning tech is getting better. Which is upping the difficulty. But not as much as the leap from fpga's to ASICS. That wont happen again. At least for a long time. The next would be minning using quantum computing. Which looks highly unlikely in the near future.
So dont expect to see major difficulty increases. Not many people will bother with minning. Most will just buy and sell. So there may be a future for mining. But, the way its looking right now. Just invest the 10K in buying bitcoin and you'll make more.

They were trailing behind 100 USD all week, and the gap is now closing. Early in this week, so new money probably flowed in allowing heavy arbitrage possibilities.

I wanna do some TV streaming for Bitcoins. Hook me up!". Ok, so Im no lawyer nor do I wanna be one.. So what is trying to be said here is that your channels wont go off in the middle of a football match. Thats all. "They" are speculating 20000  So maybe you are not that far off. I dont see it slowing down unless something drastic happens like a worldwide ban. Other cryptos eg. ltc could slow growth. |
