Nice articles! Does look a little plain though, ever considered using one of those wordpress templates? Or are you pretty dead set on doing it from scratch?
342  Economy / Economics / Re: "Major Vendor X now accepts bitcoin!" on: March 25, 2011, 12:37:19 AM
Won't happen. If major vendor X was in the U.S. (e.g Amazon.com), they would get slammed by the IRS, Department of Justice, FBI and Homeland Security. The politicians and feds would be on them so fast they wouldn't even know what hit them. Either that or their executives start getting calls from high up government officials telling them to not even think about putting Bitcoin on their site.

As unfortunate as it is.....this sounds about right Sad

I was wondering what 'unconfirmed' under the
earnings' stat meant?

Your links are tenuous at best. I see no indication of a scammer here.

This post right here will look out of place to anyone reading this topic(it is saying I'm NOT a scammer), another user googled my screennames and thought I might have been bad news, but we worked it out and decided to delete all of our posts:)

I've got a Steam account with MW2 but it is VAC banned(I used a hack to open console and host my own server), but you can still play the single player with it. I'll sell it to you for like 3 BTC.

I have a different Black Ops Steam account though that is in good standing and it is able to be played online. I'd rather sell it for a bit more than 18BTC though because I bought it retail on the day it came out for $60.

351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Satoshi really Steve Gibson from qrc.com? [dispute this gossip] on: March 24, 2011, 02:33:41 AM
There is no way Steve Gibson wrote the bitcoin client!

If Steve had written the bitcoin client it would be:
- less than 100kb in size
- written in assembler
- cost $ 89.00
- no new version in 7 years

lmao
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pros and cons of using new Bitcoin addresses for each transaction? on: March 24, 2011, 02:26:45 AM
I've noticed that my bitcoin client likes to create new addresses by itself, does this happen to anyone else?

It does that when you receive BTC on your active address, to encourage you to use a new one.

Oh okay, I can still get BTCs sent to any of my old ones though right? No matter which one is in my address bar?

Isn't fractional reserve banking basically creating money out of debt though?
356  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [NEW POOL & NEW MINER] - BitcoinPool.com - Jump In! on: March 24, 2011, 01:57:05 AM
I signed up for this pool, and also got a couple people from another forum I visit to sign up too. This seems to be one of the more open and honest pools around Smiley

I was wondering, I can see in my estimated earnings .02, but how long until that actually gets transferred to my bitcoin client, is it like once a week or something?

Your estimated earnings is a 'best guess' of what you WILL earn when the block is solved by the pool (fairly random, but based on pool speed) based on the number of shares you've submitted vs the total number submitted by the pool.

Once the block is solved by the pool, it must mature. In order for that to happen, 120 blocks must be solved by the bitcoin network. Presently, that takes around 10 - 12 hours I think (honestly, I don't pay attention too much).

Once the block matures, you'll be paid the next time our payment system makes a check (happens once per minute).

Thanks for the support! We appreciate it...

Thanks for the quick response Smiley

358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remove "generate bitcoins" from standard client? on: March 24, 2011, 12:24:21 AM
I think and voted that there should be a clear warning that you will not generate a block for years.
359  Other / Off-topic / Re: Liberty Dollar Creator Convicted in Federal Court on: March 23, 2011, 10:34:37 PM
Seen this on infowars earlier today. 'Domestic Terrorism' LMAO Give me a break. Competing currencies is actually a wonderful idea. Like the old saying goes "Don't put all your eggs in one basket". And with the state of the dollar right now that statement is truer than ever when it comes to currency.

Yeah it's good for us to diversify but not the state haha, of course they don't want it.
The USD is worth what people think it's worth.

Exactly, and the world doesn't think too highly of the Dollar right now. I remember Timothy Geithner was giving a speech to some Chinese students, and when he said the dollar is strong, they all burst out laughing.
