341  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the easiest way to make a profit from gambling? on: August 20, 2017, 07:30:41 AM
No way to do an easy money in gambling. And the usual way is betting or rolling on the dice and wait for your fortune and shows up "win" that's the easiest way.
Gambling relies too heavily on luck and there is definitely no easy way in gambling because luck comes and goes to us as they please. Luck can not be predicted when it will come to us, luck can come anytime. Sometimes luck does not come when we really need them.

It's like you can win an easy win once in a blue moon. But there are times that gamblers will win an instant easy win but it will be recovered again when they gamble and will be losing from their bets. This is the life in gambling, the path is really unreliable and no one can tell you a definite way of winning with an easy way.

Gambling is not like this. You keep on winning till you know how to control your bet size. But what most of us gamblers do is that they can't control their bet size. That's where size of your bankroll comes into play and that's the reason when house always wins.

I've been thinking, one of the biggest problems with provable fairness is how often people simply don't use it. This is often because of the extra steps required to make sure everything is fair. As I'm sure a lot of you know by now, I like to make sure that everybody has the best experience possible. What if we had a userscript, or chrome extension that automatically did this for us?

One of the biggest holes in nearly every provably fair scheme is the hash of the server seed. Extremely often, it's just not written down/copied anywhere. Most sites don't show you the hash until you open a window or go to a page that displays it. What then? If the site knows that you haven't looked at the hash, then you wouldn't be able to tell whether or not the server seed they revealed to you was the one they were using. Now of course, this isn't perfect, as the site would have no way to guarantee that you won't look at the server seed hash halfway through playing, but it's still possible. The point of provable fairness is to remove all doubt that the site could be altering results.

I propose a chrome extension to do this, as I believe it has the lowest "cost of entry". All a user has to do is simply click the install button and they're protected. A userscript requires too much technical knowledge for most people to set up, although it could work cross-browser. I believe that anybody privacy-conscious enough to use other browsers is also smart enough to copy down their server seed hash.

The extension could be able to do the following, all behind-the-scenes:
  • Record new server seed hashes as they are generated, to prevent sites from changing them later and storing them securely in chrome.storage where the website and other extensions can't touch them. (This has the added benefit of being able to sync between different chrome browsers).
  • Instantaneously verify all bets made in the past as soon as a new seed is in use and the previous one revealed.
  • (Fluff) Have a counter of all bets made by the user that have been verified when you click on the extension icon

Of course, the potential for a malignant extension here is huge. A bad extension that has access to the page would be able to withdraw a user's entire balance to an attacker's address. Such an extension would have to be open-source so that anybody could examine it and make sure nothing bad is going on behind-the-scenes.

I'd love to hear people's thoughts about this, as well as hearing from anybody that doesn't use chrome as their browser so I can get a handle on how many people would be affected before I think about working on this. The great thing about a chrome extension is that it could support any number of websites, without the user needing to add additional extensions or such.

Thanks!

Sounds like pretty good to me. I mean we never get time to verify each of our bets also don't get to know when server seed hash is changed.
343  Economy / Gambling / Re: Experiment: 1% profit daily gambling over 90 days (91 days exactly) on: August 19, 2017, 02:25:52 PM
Ok, so I have 0.002 BTC to lose to show you why trading is better than gambling it did correctly. I'm not gambling addict, I just want show you why gambling is safer than HYIPs but worser than trading.
I will start 1 September 2017 (or 15 Sept if I won't had that capital by 1 Sept).
If by 1 December 2017 be successful, I will announce this and reinvest 0.003 BTC. I will save rest of winnings.

This will hardly prove anything, you can make a bad/good investment, it doesn't have anything to do with random chance while gambling does.
Also, you should be able to profit from HYIPs with enough experience and getting in early, while gambling hmm
I don't think there is anything to do to beat the house longterm, you can do it short term though.

I guess his point is not about investment, but to prove that gambling is not a good idea to make profit. I would tend to agree that it is only slightly better than HYIPS - where there is no house edge and you're gambling purely on whether or not you can exit before the guaranteed scam happens. The only way you can really make money with HYIPs is if you're banking on referral profits. It is a slightly inaccurate comparison though. Trading shouldn't be considered gambling.

Trading is gamble too but much safer and with little risk. It's poker, chess and roulette in one. Poker because even losing trade can win, you play against other people and it can +EV if you have enough skill. Chess because it can improve your trading skills. Roulette because you can win trade by luck without any skill.

Gambling and trading are two different things. Gambling is totally based on probability and luck while trading is totally skill based. I don't know what was the point of doing all this.
344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Benefits from Gambling on: August 18, 2017, 06:06:55 AM
It is a super entertaining and time pass. Although you only loose your bandwidth, eyesight, money and time. But its still worth it as most of us are not quitting at any cost.
345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Help!!! on: August 18, 2017, 05:44:33 AM
Is it possible to earn by playing game ? especially related to bitcoin

You have to google it yourself. there are many games which pays if you play there. Also they have minimum withdrawal limit. In order to boost your earnings you can do micro jobs on various sites. As well as surveys are good way to earn bitcoins too.
346  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many Bitcoins needed for martingale on: August 18, 2017, 05:10:30 AM
Any amount of bitcoins aren't enough for martingale as it will end in bust at the end. No matter how safe you feel with lowering the basebet you will still bust in the end. I have seen a player making around 50btc with martingaling day and night for months and then one day loose streak came and he busted  almost all.
347  Economy / Gambling / Re: CASINO RANKINGS ---> COMPLETELY USER GENERATED on: August 18, 2017, 05:03:46 AM
Why didn't you make a poll so that you don't have to manually check each post that and it will also be good that each player can see the poll on the front page.

349  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 FAST play/invest, level up, win more, have fun! on: August 16, 2017, 11:05:56 AM
Competition is over, here are the results:

Yahoo's entry was full of ups and downs as he lost around 5 btc while trying to make more profit and then he recovered it all with one green bet.
Entry number 3 i.e. Glen was made in last couple of hours.
It was an amazing competition to promote YoloDice.
350  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular, Oldest & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC | 🎂 on: August 16, 2017, 10:11:36 AM
I always was curious to know how much a person who bet more than 10BTC get from their faucet. Not sure if people could tell this, but I always wondered.
Anyway, primedice is still the best gambling site, keep up the good work

Well if you keep on faucet abusing then you can make it one day in few months or may be years. Otherwise 10btc is too big to make from faucets as it will be 1000000x of 100 which usually people get while claiming unless you aren't VIP or wagered above 10btc.
351  Economy / Gambling / Re: BETTING SITES TO AVOID on: August 16, 2017, 09:40:40 AM
This post will always be updated. Sites I list are Based on my ppersonal observation.am not paid to advertise or condem anysite.
****SITE FOR HIGH ROLLERS TO AVOID NOW IS ROLLIN.
Especially if you are not betting on 50% chance.
Will update once I notice that shit is fixed.
Also, the wont let u withdraw winnings after 1 confirmation. Thats because they are 90% sure that most high rollers will be forced to continue playing and loose.
Max profit is 6btc. Very easy to destabilize and mess up any high roller's balance.
Finally if u win too much, they ask for your ids.
Definitely not a site for high rollers. Just avoid till they fix all this scam tricks

how's max profit linked to site's provably fair system. Max profit is some % of the site's balance so if someone wins big its easy to get that max profit down. Do you even know what a provably fair system is?
352  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Greatest Bitcoin Gambling Experience Ever! 12 Exclusive Games on: August 16, 2017, 09:33:22 AM
My open-source bet verifier (Stake forum thread) now supports Plinko, in addition to Dice and Roulette. Other game support will come as I have time to work on this. So you can get the idea of the calculation that this tool will save you when verifying your bets, here is the output from a plinko game:

Enjoy!

Another great work done by you towards the community. People really need third party verifiers to verify their rolls. Thanks again.

355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Still don't believe BTC can reach 5K, then 10K and then 50K? on: August 13, 2017, 11:44:26 AM
Its quite believable if you see bitcoin's past journey. it increased more than 1000x since its launch and it can increase more as with time its supply is getting decreased as we all know by 2024 all the bitcoins will be mined. And if its demand kept on increasing its simple that its price will definitely increase.
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rothschild Just Bought $210,000 Worth Of Bitcoin on: August 13, 2017, 11:41:58 AM
No wonder that bitcoin is alpha and billionaire's interest in it is not that much eye catchy as most of the people/traders became millionaire just because of their awareness about bitcoin. Recently HBO's GOT's script got stolen by hackers and now they are paying in bitcoin to them. This shows its good and bad both awareness.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction FEES 0.00133153 BTC !!! on: August 13, 2017, 11:34:11 AM
Its pretty normal when it comes to withdrawing exchanges. The one i used for withdrawal from exchange take a confirmation email and then that to be sent to block in batch so that eats too much time too. Use wallet that have dynamic fee or any other online wallet. but don't use exchange as wallet.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HBO is trying to get $250,000 in bitcoin to pay hackers who stole GoT scripts on: August 13, 2017, 06:44:15 AM
Yes, it is a sad thing that Bitcoin is being used by the criminals for their illegal activities but we have to consider one thing that the utility of this technology is more than the fiat currencies or any other payment system so it is but obvious that everyone would prefer it over fiat if they are willing to take the benefits of it. There is absolutely zero role of Bitcoin in this crime so blaming it is pointless in my opinion. It's like blaming the internet for stealing money through net banking.

Using bitcoin to pay shows its potential and how useful it can be. But the bad news is that we can't trace it much. I am pretty much sure the hacker is using best ways to hide himself and to hide his digital footprints. Sooner or later he will be caught.
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: August 13, 2017, 06:13:35 AM
I have my own opinion and that is investing in bitcoin have less risk than investing in other coins or things. It will give you regular return if done trading or invested in any casino and with time its value will increase too.
