Just FUD eventually well get past this stupid debate, something will have to give or something that we can agree on will come along.

at this point just drop the 2mb block increase on segwit and just get malleability fixed for lightning.

>90% Core full nodes it will be hard to explain that in fact 90% support BU let's activate segwit miners do their job or users will do UASF
prove it. with facts. there is no proof for 90% support for anything in bitcoinland. it doesn't exist. except maybe greed, and i seriously doubt there's a 90% agreement on that. edit: we're never going to reach any consensus about this scaling thing, not BU, not core, not segwit. i'd honestly be shocked to see any of them reach 60%. Nodes are rigged anyway, I could put up 100 myself if I wanted to blow the money.

Transaction settling on the main chain doesnt have to be extremely cheap because it isnt efficient anyway with in person payments. Lightning network solves these problems because hundreds or thousands of transactions can be settled at one time. You dont need to use the main chain to buy coffee. We would get lightning if we can get malleability fix despite if a block size increase comes with it.

Oh god alex jones. He probably thinks Satoshi Nakamoto is really an alien.

It could, im skeptical that it will though. Bitcoin has the best devs and can upgrade if it needs to. Despite everyone attacking eachother over the scaling debate, if things were so bad that bitcoin was going to get taken over, I think something would reach compromise.

That it goes up in value. Joking aside, the ability to cross borders with thousands of dollars and have no one know is what tickles me down below.

I have all my wealth in bitcoin as well because im young. I would diversify if it was worth much more , but at this point im not worried.

transfercoin looks great and is very undervalued in my opinion. By the way, is it possible to run more than one masternode under the same IP? So like running two masternodes on my local dedicated node computer ?

can we get byteball on bittrex so I dont have to use a janky ass exchange?
I must admit that cryptox.pl is quite small and not well known yet, but proved to be a reliable exchange! Any complaints were taken seriously by the staff and were resolved within a reasonable timeframe, as I've read in user comments on our slack. Its an okay exchange its just no bittrex though. Bittrex is well known easy to use (cryptox's layout is very confusing). Maybe after a few more drops I guess.

They are also more private with the US getting access to Swiss banks in recently years. The rich now store their money on islands like Barbados

We need segwit to do extension blocks. They've been a part of segwit for a long time.
i think minners might seriously reconsider segwit, if they could get extension blocks shortly after. my god, imagine 4MB effective coreblocksize + extension blocks + LN bitcoin is going to scale up Up UP!!!!!!!! like a MOFO I think the problem with most miners is that they don't understand with the future holds with all these changes coming to the space, fear of unknown The problem with them (miners) is the fear to lose incentives since with SegWit, they think it will take away lots of transaction fee from them and LN will just kill them. Due to personal preservation, they gone blind on what is the best approach to bitcoin scaling. if somthing "kills" miners its toxic to bitcoin... if bitcoin is secured by the incentive to mine 2.5BTC every time minutes then it is very INSECURE as mining rewards drop in half it becomes absolutely mission critical to maximize fee revenue. The miners are screwing themselves over by proving to be bad actors.

not 100% clear on your plan but the core team has refused to increase block size for years. They only want to scale according to their own roadmap, no matter how good your plan is. They are decidedly against on chain scaling by design. That's why BU became necessary.
segwit effectively increases the blocksize, which BU is blocking (eventhough they deny it) so how could you say that?
