Those who have liquid assets and are willing to make investments would never dislike the dips and corrections and they will always consider them opportunities to fill their bags more.
Talking about rumors, it's true that when there are rumors, retail traders mostly act upon them and that affects the price either positively or negatively, however, when we mention the halving event, it has never been an immediate trigger for the price of Bitcoin or the bull run and the price used to go up a few months after the event, and we would expect the same to happen this time around.
So, there is no need for any rumor for that to happen when it comes to the halving, in my opinion.

I'm personally not holding any XRP at the moment, and it's been some time since I last traded it. However, for the sake of the discussion, I'll throw my two cents on what I think about it.

I've always thought that XRP is one of the most trusted and secure cryptocurrencies in the market, and it has been, no doubt. However, there is news that the co-founder, Chris Larsen, had some of his wallets compromised in which he lost about $112M worth of XRP, which isn't a piece of pleasant news for its holders and investors, of course.

I understand that it isn't a blockchain hack and he says that the company's wallets are completely safe, but I'm not sure if this affirmation is enough to regain the trust and clear the fears that holders might have at the moment.

Buying low and selling high is the right way to go about it, however, I wouldn't recommend holding altcoins for the long term because they are highly unpredictable and anything can happen at any given time which is the reason why most traders would never recommend holding a certain altcoin for long term.

Earning profit on altcoins is possible in short-term because they are usually more volatile than Bitcoin as their prices are lower than it. So when you buy an altcoin today, you might even get a selling window after a few hours, if not, maybe tomorrow, day after tomorrow, or maybe next week, but you shouldn't keep holding it when you see a window to take profit just so that you can get more profit because that can go the other way as well.

Even though what happened with LUNA and FTX was something completely unexpected, I would say altcoins are not to be trusted for very long-term investments, but they are only good for short and medium-term trading because even if a project does seem promising at the beginning, it might have everything you are looking for in your research, it will still have the possibility of going to zero if things don't work out for the team.
That's why, one should either use altcoins only for short and medium term investments or simply accept the risk and invest amounts that they can easily afford to lose in them just to try their luck and see if the projects actually turn out to be good in the long-term.

The thing is they all have their own communities (Investors, traders, users) if some people like one and don't like other that doesn't matter for these altcoins. they will still remain in top.
The Top altcoins that I stopped buying are so many. because it is not possible for a person to invest in dozens of altcoins at same time even tho it is always advised to divide your capital among several altcoins but still.
the one that coming to my mind right now is TRX.
I used to buy TRX before and used USDT in Tron blockhain so much when first etherum fee started going insane. but now that spot is taken by Polygone and BNB.

this is one of the most hyped project for now. they had a huge airdrop also and today I got the news that  they are getting a world premier exchange listing in many big exchanges such as Kucoin and Binance,
$JUP also trending on twitter (X) with over 3 million tweets which is Insane for a crypto project. i think it is gonna be a huge project. anyone who got the airdrop must be feeling very lucky right now.

Don't know about this particular Cryptocurrency, but generally yes. Cryptocurrencies with Good utility can really make good investments.
I myself always prefer to invest in projects which has good utlitiy and their token have good use case within their ecosystem.
there are so many projects which gets hyped because of marketing and promotions but end up loosing value because of not having any actual use. these type of coins are only good for short term trading.
but coins with good use case are best for even long term holding.

You are right about that. but don't forget the fact that investing will also bring potential risks of losing money too. especially when it is investing in crypto.
Anyone who investing in Crypto need to be extra careful, Always keep the market volatility in mind when investing in  Bitcoin.

As you said he should also do proper research before making any investment decsion. I agree with that too. and I would like to add one more thing here that he should also be careful of all the scam and phishing attempts happening in Overall Crypto Space. they are the biggest reason why newbies leaving crypto after a short time.

Thanks to God that I didn't experience loosing Bitcoin Seed ye. I've lost bitcoin and crypto other ways but. like trading or investing. which I think is equally painful LOL
But one advice as a Bitcoiner I can give to anyone is to keep your seed in 2, 3 place just in case if you loose one. then you can recover your seed using your seeed from second place.
Best Place way of storing a seed is write that down in a peace of paper and and keep that somewhere else. have a Diary for all your Bitcoin and Crypto wallet backup keeys and seeds.
and worst way oof storing a seed is to store it online, or in your pc. if you have it kept in your pc there are good chances that it migh get stolen by a malware.

I know so many people who left their mainstream jobs to go all in Bitcoin, or I would say all in Crypto. i think there is nothing wrong in that since  Crypto is full of so many opportunities. everyone can make a living off bitcoiin if they know how to do that.
If someon have the right skils set, and know how to find jobs in crypto space, then he would not have  any problem making money in Bitcoin

That was a horrible mistake you did. leaving BTC and going to BTCV was nothing but stupidity. Good that you accepted 30% loss and took a exit. If I were  you I would consider myself lucky for realizing my mistake when there was still time. becuase you could've lost 90% of your money in that because any altcoin that has a BTC in it's name is 100% a scam or a rugg pull.

Not just that. it also depends on how you use the coin you invested in. if you just keep that coin in your wallet (HODL) then you might earn no profit at all or earn little bit depending on he price movement.
but if you trade with that altcoin then your earning chances will increase a lot as well as the risk of loosing.

You are right about buying only those altcoins which have potential when they are red. but you must keep the price in check. because market become red or green with a little bit increase. you can't earn good profit immediately after buying when red or sellling when green. you can't even cover trading fee by doing that. you must set buy and sell targets to earn properly.

Yes Low Transaction fee is an important feature we should see when choosing a crypto trading platform. but that should not be the only thing to look. as you said user interface, and security features are very crucial too.
one more thing that I like to see is how reputable and trusted that platform is. and also their KYC requirements.
As well as the token that I want to trade must be listed there too.

Banks also offers different packages and interest rates. I think you don't know how investment in banks works. when you invest in banks. they'll tell you specifically that you'll earn that much percentage on a monthly or annually basis. (Most banks pay on annual basis)

The reason why I like investing in altcoin is the sense of control and authenticity we have here. we are fully in charge of our funds when we invest in altcoins. we decide how to invest and in how many altcoins we invest. and we can book profit whenever we want.
But Bank pays a fixed percentage of profit at the end of every term. and altcoin profit is not fixed. and that's another reason I like altcoins.
