in germany the law and crypto regulation would change in 2020.
a regulated licensed crypto service may be useful for some, but not all germans or visitors are looking for such service.
nevertheless, it is interesting to see that this is now possible, some years ago bitcoin was declared illegal in germany.

Side note: Frage mich echt wie die das finanzieren, da kommt ja bei 50 Teilnehmern ein Riesenbetrag / Monat raus... die finanzieren sich über gebühren. fürs mixing geben manche gern auch bis zu 5% gebühren pro transaktion aus. wenn dann z.b. 1 million USD im monat gemixt wird, kommt schon was bei rum nur als beispiel bei wasabi hatten sie folgende einnahmen: According to Ficsor, wallet transaction fees earned the startup 8 bitcoin in May, 10 bitcoin in June, and 14 bitcoin in July 2019, with the latter alone being worth roughly $149,000 on Sept. 4. chipmixer zahlen weiss ich nicht aber ich vermute die sind ähnlich hoch. bei solchen einnahmen kann man sich auch eine fette werbekampagne leisten. |

I think Bitwala is trying to bring crypto newbies into the system.Most newbies would prefer to store their coins with a safe custodian till they're able to learn the ropes themselves.
that was my first thought as well. it would be something for the noobs probably helping them to transition from pure banking to crypto experiments. but anyone who is into bitcoin for other reasons would find a better way to manage his crypto funds. even when cashing out a bitcoin atm would be easier and more private. i am not convinced either. but maybe it is good to have it instead of not. |

i recommend reading more about DCA bitcoin investments. what kind of strategy is it? Dollar cost averaging (DCA) is an investment strategy with the goal of reducing the impact of volatility on large purchases of financial assets. (wikipedia)
The idea of dollar cost averaging investment is defining an amount which you regularly plan to spend on buying cryptocurrency and do it at regular intervals. E.g. buy bitcoins worth $100 on 1st day of each month. This is very easy to follow and to do irrespective of anything that happens. There are also services allowing to do this in automatic way (like Coinbase).
