Matt,

The 50 sat/byte is mixed with the "over 10 sat/byte"?

That makes 50 sat/byte look a bit spammy.
And it means it does not show what I am talking to Lauda about.

Would it be better 50 sat/bite and over (not 51 as now?)
10 - 49 sat/byte

It's a stacked chart, meaning you can either read partitions or total.

I have arbitrarily chosen to make fee groups like this:

(1) 50 satoshi / byte or greater,
(2) 10 satoshi / byte or greater,
(3) all transactions

Obviously (2) contains (1), and (3) contains both (1) and (2). But you can easily use the difference to figure out the number of transactions / queue size with less than 10 satoshi / byte, over 50 satoshi / byte, between 10 and 50, etc.

If you pay high enough fee you always have fast confirmations.

BTW network is going shit again, 20 MB unconfirmed transactions:

Hey, have a look here Smiley

I just rolled out these Bitcoin queue real-time charts for fun...

BitcoinQueue.com - Real-time Transaction Queue Statistics

BitcoinQueue.com is a simple stacked chart visualization of the transaction queue waiting to be included in the next block(s) of the blockchain.

It's pretty straightforward and it shows interesting data that I was willing to share :-)

We're going to see $600 in June for sure. Good news Grin

Sometimes I just feel like quoting myself. Sorry about this Grin
346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halvings on: May 31, 2016, 06:40:20 PM
A lot of blocks are already nearing 1 BTC in fees anyway, and it's only to grow further over time.

The only discussion would be about how sensible it would be to compensate for lost coins, if necessary.

I'm selling nothing.

I'll ride this baby back down to the 430's, but there's no way I am missing the potential ride up.

But if that is your strategy nice to see someone going against the grain on this one.  Wink

$600 is a more realistic expectation while we're nearing the halving.

And it looks like we're slowly heading towards it.

Quote from Scam:

"With us it was about to go to the moon or nowhere. We never aimed to build a medium-sized company. Our investors are not happy, but they understand the situation. "

This is so outrageous. I'm glad that all I have bought from them is a KnC Saturn from second hand market. Their business model sucked from the beginning until the end.

In other news, US military uses 8-inch floppy disks to coordinate nuclear force operations.

Beyond pure nostalgia, you've got to tell me why the sudden love for floppy disks all around. I've been using them for plenty of time back in the days (both 5.25'' and 3.5''), and these are the words that will stay associated with them, as well as the distinctive noise of the step motor in much moments:

General failure reading drive A:
CRC Error

My personal guess is that S9 will not be released before halving, so that BITMAIN can adapt their pricing according to the trading and mining market reaction. If there is no surge in BTC price ahead, it will probably be a couple of months before difficulty settles back to equilibrium.

After the halving, S7s could hardly make any profit without free electricity, even with the cheapest rates on the planet.

Probably the best post yet.

Floppy disks aren't safe to store anything. Period.

There are plenty of alternatives whose degradation is much more manageable.

Does anybody know if the redeemed S5s will be shipped all at once after the end of the redeem period, or is it a continuous process? If so, what would be the typical shipping time?

Thanks!

Glad to hear that, it is a good example to show why independence from client-specific implementations using private keys export/import is a feature that should be preserved no matter what Smiley
357  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: error 16: mandatory-script-verify-flag-failed on: May 05, 2016, 11:36:54 AM
I'll try with bitcoin-core as soon as I'm finished downloading the blockchain but I'm starting to worry Sad

Are you finished with downloading the blockchain?

Bitcoin Core allows you to do almost anything including broadcasting raw transactions. As long as you have the private keys that belong to the public keys (addresses) that received the money, you should be safe.
358  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: error 16: mandatory-script-verify-flag-failed on: April 30, 2016, 05:54:05 PM
The key is from a block I mined in 2011, could it be related ?

Yes. I'm afraid that you might have to craft a custom transaction manually, but I'm not proficient enough with the Bitcoin protocol to tell you specifically how to do it. Soft forks have been rolled out since 5 years ago.

Have you tried importing the key in Bitcoin Core instead?
