342  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: November 28, 2017, 07:12:43 PM
Big no for me, their many reasons why country or community can be poverty stricken maybe it could have been caused by post-war effects, corruption, some selfish people that want resources to themselves making economical progress a nightmare and many more reasons and if people can not even have access to the internet how do they get close to bitcoin??? Unless satoshi himself plays Santa to elevate peoples lives which still cannot end as its good as building castles in the air.
343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: November 28, 2017, 04:55:43 PM
An investment without risk is not worth calling it an investment and if you ask how much risk is in bitcoin well there isn't one answer to this question but crypto investing has become the order of the day.
344  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-27] South Korea’s Largest Underground Mall Adds Bitcoin Payments on: November 27, 2017, 10:57:08 PM
Some good news from South Korea, hope this can start a chain reaction that will see more countries jumping on board.
I do not think that this influenced the price of bitcoin. Now if Allie Express starts taking bitcoin, it will be a boom, and may affect the price of bitcoin. Since Allie Express is used in almost the whole world
There is certainly some influence on the price of bitcoin because by making it possible for people to pay with bitcoin more will move to smart payments which are safer and better for users . Other countries will certainly follow suit and allow their merchants to accept bitcoin payments.
345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience and Holding on: November 27, 2017, 08:24:38 PM
Patience and holding is the main goal of most people in trading if you have this characteristics in this field, we have the most posibility to earn more in it
You are very right on this, patience is a quality that most successful traders have and as traders you ought to exercise patience if you want to earn the most from it.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I hold my altcoin for years in my wallet? on: November 27, 2017, 06:20:07 PM
•What if I dont have any money ? And I decided to hold my altcoin at my wallet.
•Will the value remain?
Crypto value is never same because people are always buying/selling unless its an abandoned coin, the value will remain the same if there are no trades:Smiley.

•Any chances of value getting higher? Or it will die to years later?
it all depends on the projects community and the kind of project it is, but holding is the best way to go for a solid project.
347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: November 27, 2017, 05:53:44 PM
if bitcoin can survive for this long then probably it will match up to the likes of gold and become a store of value and maybe it will no longer be used for petty payments and we the users are responsible for its existence...so if we say 100 years then why not.
348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: November 27, 2017, 04:59:50 PM
What is the safest way to keep bitcoins.

When it comes to safety of crypto-funds the most important feature is having access to our private keys, and most people will talk of keeping their coins in cold storage but how many people are actually keeping their funds this way???

Taken dangers like hacking, losing in to account!
In my opinion, I think a desktop wallet like electrum is good enough provided 2fa is enabled. it should stop hackers from sweeping our wallets, and to avoid losing access to our account private keys can written/printed and kept somewhere safe.
349  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: November 27, 2017, 03:53:24 PM
This week bitcoin will be worth more than $ 10,000 and by the end of December it will rise to 11-12 thousand dollars.....
We are all eager to see to it that a new all-time high is set by breaching the $10k range and for now looks like it has slowed down

I wish I bought it in March.
We all have regrets for this missed opportunity but we can still make things right by buying now and enjoy the returns from our investments in the future.
350  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bonpay Plastic/Virtual Bitcoin Card on: November 27, 2017, 01:22:34 PM
Does anyone know of the Bonpay cards would work at Canadian ATM's? for withdrawal in to CAD?

thanks

You can use the card anywhere in the world, where Visa cards are accepted. However, card order and delivery are currently possible within EU zone.
Do you have plans to deliver to other parts or maybe When should we expect card delivery to be possible to other parts of the world?
Registered for an account but can I get clarification if Bonpay wallet is ready to be used as am aware that the token sale is currently ongoing.
351  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding BTC vs Day trading or short term trading. on: November 27, 2017, 11:57:36 AM
Holding bitcoin is basically for everyone as its easy as buying the bitcoins and forgetting about for a long time until value grows.

Then day trading and short term trading is basically for advanced crypto users who understand the crypto market and know what they are doing.
But I prefer just holding as its less stressful as compared to trading.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: November 27, 2017, 11:04:46 AM
I think what makes bitcoin popular is the high value it has maintained over other cryptocurrencies and despite its volatility investors get to reap their profits within a short time.
2. Bitcoin has the biggest community to support it.
3. Bitcoin is known to be the prime cryptocurrency which has given people a reason to like and in the process its become the popular coin.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will altcoin go up or down on bitcoin crash? on: November 27, 2017, 08:18:24 AM
Hi all!

With bitcoin flying to the moon, a lot of people expected a (huge) crash. In perspective of other crashes, how will the price of altcoins react when bitcoins drops to say $6.000? Will altcoin go up or down?

Bitcoin is the pack leader so if bitcoin prices drop then we should expect all other altcoins to be affected but some altcoins will appreciate in value  because they are pegged to bitcoin price and a weaking bitcoin means a more power alt but then again it all depends on how investors react to this phenomenon.
354  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your way of spreading Bitcoin knowledge? on: November 27, 2017, 07:13:29 AM
Am spreading bitcoin knowledge through blogs, sharing news articles on facebook/twitter of people who have become successful through using bitcoin and for my friends we just chat about it especially if price skyrockets

Give them a minute or two, make them curious about Bitcoin and tell them about this forum and to dig it, they will understand if they feel curiosity about Bitcoin.
Probably only one out of 10 people will dig in to learn more about bitcoin.
355  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-11-26] 12.6M Viewers Will Hear About Bitcoin Watching The Big Bang Theory on: November 26, 2017, 10:48:44 PM
The show talks about the price of Bitcoin being $5000. By the time they shot the episode and it airs, I think the price might be $10,000.  Grin
The fact that mainstream sitcoms are devoting entire episodes to Bitcoin talks a lot about how Bitcoin has captured the imagination of the general public.
This should be fun to watch, and As long as these sitcoms don't miss represent how bitcoin can be used then we are guaranteed of an increasse in cryptocurrency usage, and its good to see more media houses endorsing this technology.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you had to go all in the next 3 days, what coin would you choose? on: November 26, 2017, 10:32:39 PM
Maybe not going all in on one coin because cryptocurrencies are high risk but i like AION it has a good project which i see to be a game changer for most blockchain projects in the future.
Bitcoin is another coin I can not leave out as its the biggest cryptocurrencies at the moment
357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 kinds of ICOs — Protect yourself on: November 26, 2017, 08:54:06 PM
This is some useful information and honest review to ways of finding legit projects hope from here onwards  potential investors will look for these features to avoid investing in bogus projects that are just after peoples money.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO's are finally coming to an end! on: November 26, 2017, 05:41:19 PM
Finally. I think that due to the recent flurry of airdrop scams, ICO's received almost no attention and now that the airdrop scams are receding, the attention to ICO's has pretty much diminished. Now, the hype is all around masternodes but that will soon go away as well. I guess, the real question is, what is next??
If ICO's come to an end then it will be a good time to support existing projects and market them more so as to teach people that the blockchain technology is beyond flipping invests for profit. But the truth is ICOs will just reduce not going to end anytime soon.
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will be see bitcoin as international currency? on: November 26, 2017, 01:19:34 PM
As far as I know, bitcoin is available worldwide including countries that have banned , and literally speaking bitcoin has no borders which makes it an international currency

There will always be that one person. It will never be international, i'm afraid.
true, there will always be that country that wants to be different but that still does not disqualify it from being an international currency
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth will reach 1000 $ on: November 23, 2017, 07:49:11 PM
Now time has arrived for eth, i think eth will go up 1000$ . Not stuck in 400$.
How about ur thoughts?
Ether has been stuck for a very long time in the 300s and just today its breached its all time highand currently trading over $420 just hope it wont stall like it usually does but am sure it will reach $1000 next year.
