I won't parrot what everyone's already said in here to increase their post count, but I'll just add that you should be careful to buy the sata cable from the same brand as your PSU. More often then not, the cables are not interchangeable between brands. They must be using a different plug/socket design just to force users to buy aftermarket cables from them too...
Yeah, and EVGA psus come with x4 in one molex cables. Been running them for months, no issues *yet* <runs off to check rigs>....

Maybe irrelevant, but I've got several 1300 EVGA Psus, which come with 4 molex on one sata. Never have an issue using 4. Alternative is using some random sata-molex converter off Amazon - which do you trust?

Happened to me due to user error/stupidity. I tried the 1+8 paperclip trick that worked for me. Harrowing stuff though...

Why even mine on nicehash? There are a lot Multialgo Profitswitching pools out on which you can make a much better peofit...
Any examples? I use NH quite a bit, as peeps have said, it does save a lot of faffing, admittedly for a fee.

I'm having a weird issue. Claymore just waits after it starts and says OpenCL initializing... then it lists the cards and just waits.
I used to be able to fix this by restarting claymore or restarting the computer but it's not helping anymore.. it just waits every time and won't mine.. Any ideas?
Sounds like it could be hanging from too high of an overclock. Try backing down the core clock by 10 MHz and the memory clock by 50 MHz and see if it helps. Thanks. I narrowed it down to 1 card but that card messes it up even at stock clocks/volts. I figured it out by trying just the first card using -di 0 and it actually loaded correctly and mined. Then tried -di 01 and it didn't work.. then I tried all but that 1.. -di 02345 and it worked! so it's 1 card in particular giving me and issue.. it's actually the same card that kept hanging every few days stopping the rig from mining. I'll have to check the riser and maybe try that specific card in another rig to see what's up I've been having a similar issue - everything fine for weeks, then that same process., even on stock clocks. Did you work out if it was the card or the riser? (obvs I'm hoping for a riser swap fix ;-)

Quick shoutout for anyone still running v9.3 on Win10 - Defender just decided it was a Trojan and deleted it on my rigs. v9.5 appears to be fine <crosses fingers>...
Always smart to add a Windows Defender exception on the folder you keep your mining software in. Miners regularly get falsely flagged as trojans because they get packaged in trojans. Top tip there! Knew about the reasons behind it, but excluding the folder is an excellent shout. Thanks.

Thanks both - back to driver fun and games eh! I'd hoped as device manager was happy I'd dodged that bullet. Hey ho.
Cheers much!

Hi folks, long time listener, first time caller.
Have a 5 card rig (win10, rx470 4gb) that's been running fine for months. Suddenly dropped out, and now Claymore exits because 'no amd cards in list'. Cards are present and correct in Win10 device manager, no errors.
Tried older drivers, tried newer drivers. Removed win10 updates. Tried new OpenCL package. Any ideas anyone? Is there a way to force the OpenCL list to update? Much appreciated in advance!

See... our hashrate went down and we are getting more lucky and getting more blocks. we need to keep our hash rate below 27,000TH. Yeah, crazy innit. Hashrate up 30%, no luck at all. Dips a bit and boom. Almost makes you want to mistrust the maths!

I've got a new one (for me anyway) - R4 is hashing fine, asics all present, but browser interface is mainly blank, no fan speed, and no detailed hashing info. However, it's definitely online, and the pool (or nicehash in this case) is logging fine.
Have rebooted, but no changes, worth reinstalling firmware? Or just leave it? Edit: Reflashing the firmware seems to have fixed it (fingers firmly crossed). BM's latest is from Dec just FYI...

<hijack>If anyone has an S9 board for sale (yes, I know, hahaha) then I'd be jolly interested...

I feared that might be the case - can you keep running on two boards though? Like a T9 ;-)

Hi folks,
so I've got a dead board on one of my S9's. It was previously running well, but I had to move the machine. On reboot one board has no red light on the top (no power? but have double-checked connectors, and isn't hashing.
Asic status is only the mid-4, and chip temps are 0.
Any suggestions? Can I keep running with 2 boards, and if so is it best to disconnect the dead one from the PSU?
Many thanks in advance!

Still looking folks, so do shout out. Cheers!
