heh, that 16px coin didn't work out to well, didn't think about that...

Here's a simplified 16px alternate for the icon if you want to include it in the next update: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B82OOXRXzyeaaEZPTUJOcXZTYUk/edit?usp=sharing
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoCoin Explorer - Alt Coin Block Explorer. Now hosting 13 Coins!! on: June 05, 2013, 05:47:56 AM
You still haven't answered why Worldcoin was removed. I'm not particularly interested in the coin but I am interested in why it was removed.

Edit: also, you can use this as the DGC logo if you want: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B82OOXRXzyeacUVZZUdBUFp6TFE/edit?usp=sharing
More coin-like.
346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CryptoSwitcher - Automatically mine the best coin. on: June 04, 2013, 07:53:52 PM
Luckycoin, Nibble, Phenixcoin, and Franko have been added. As well as some minor cosmetic changes.

I'll mention Junkcoin, Powercoin, and Royalcoinv were added awhile ago as well, since it doesn't seem to have been announced here.
347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of all cryptocoins on: June 03, 2013, 10:20:26 PM
So what if it was edited ... was edited before launch not after ... I, like everybody else were mining from 1st day ... and you make it sound like he cheated because was launched earlier. Everybody who was interested was there from day 1 and everybody else on forums are saying that was a fair launch. You probably should do more research before posting ... and probably you should remove all those dieing coins (CHC, BQC ... ).

Yeah, it was edited less than 24hrs before the new launch. That's pretty scammy, I dare say even scummy, and well within the definition of "suddenly launched before the originally set date with little warning". I like the coin but I can't refuse the facts. xorxor wasn't even negative about it, he just stated it exactly how it is.

There's no reason to remove dying coins from the list, there's a section specifically for them and that's exactly where they should be. If we just hide away the dead someones doomed to make the same mistake they did. (Though they'll probably do it anyway.)

BBQCoin isn't even dying, it's made quite a come back recently and is occasionally more profitable to mine than BTC.

You dare say a lot of things you know nothing about.

I had specifically told everyone the date was only an estimate. I updated it as it got sooner and let everyone know as it got closer, not 24 hours before.

Have you ever heard of a little thing called motive? One of the major things needed to actually make an argument against someone and not just have an opinion? If there were any bad intentions, why would I announce as I went along? Why would I say the date is an estimate? Why would I say 24 hours before?

Ultimately, why would I build in fairness? Early rewards that were pretty much worthless until everyone who was interested in the coin was able to be involved.

This thread is an opinion by a biased poster who has his own favourites and what not. It should only be taken as such.

I think you're entirely misunderstanding what is being said.

If the post was made on the 19th and the launch date was later changed from the 23rd to the 20th then there's no way there was much more than 24hrs. before the change. That is the definition of a sudden launch with little warning. That's all xorxor said, he never even said it was a bad thing. There is absolutely no displayed bias on xorxor's ("the thread's") part.

I said it felt scammy (well I meant to, but I missed the "feel" in my original statement, oops), which it does, especially with the difficulty being so much lower than originally stated. That doesn't mean I'm saying the coin is a scam or even personally believe it to be. Hell, I even said I like the coin. I even designed a proper coin style logo for it.

I don't really how to respond to that bit about motive, I'm not sure what you're getting at there...

Nice Doubloon...can update on my next build!

Nice, that makes both my "original" graphics officially adopted.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alternative Altcoin Graphics on: June 02, 2013, 11:13:31 PM
Wait, people still use fireworks? Shocked

I do, I feel I'm all but alone on this front though. I just find it to be a simple to use program for someone who isn't really that into graphic arts. Nice combination of vectors and bitmaps.
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Alternative Altcoin Graphics on: June 02, 2013, 11:08:23 PM
Here's a few alternative graphics i made/changed/edited for personal use. Feel free to do what you will with them. I'll update in the future if/when i make more.

Digitalcoin, now an actual coin.
A Doubloon without that tacky D.
Junkcoin with a transparent background.
Freicoin with a transparent background.
Barcoin, for schadenfreude.

FireWorks sources (where available) and other coins/sizes.

Feel free to request something specific but I make no promises. I'm not exactly a graphics artist, I just do this to make other things I use look less "ugh".
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List of all cryptocoins on: June 02, 2013, 09:17:20 PM
I don't see DragonCoin in this list, needs an update Smiley

Also no BarCoin, should be listed under "NOT AN OPENSOURCE COMMODITY CRYPTO COIN /  NEVER FULLY LAUNCHED". It's a demonstration coin like smallchange but it does have a functional blockchain.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Doubloons: Cryptocurrency for Pirates on: May 27, 2013, 07:07:28 PM
I created a subreddit for discussion of Doubloons if anyone's interested.

And now for a proper Barcoin graphic: V1, V2

*rolls around on the floor*

Edit: Oh yeah, and you should add a Doubloon donation address to your signature man. Also a Barcoin one now.

Now why the fuck would you do something like that?  Grin

This has got to be one of the most pointless and amazing things i've seen all week. Kudos.
356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Alternative Altcoin Logos on: May 27, 2013, 05:26:49 PM
Great graphics you got there. Can you also create a new logo for powercoin? I'm willing to pay.

I rarely actually make anything new, I usually just modify what exists. But if you tell me how you'd prefer the powercoin logo to be I can see what I can do. Payment won't be necessary, I just do this to kill time really.

357  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC/LTC/FTC VanityAddress Generator!! on: May 27, 2013, 05:22:44 PM
Im selling the source code for 1 BTC. After 3 months of hard work theres no way im about to give it all out for some other person to steal and release on his own.

There is no virus.. ask those who have used it and posted on this thread. If your still not sure feel free to do a Virus Scan, you will see Im a honest person.

Selling the source code? Hooooo boy. Have fun with that.

While I'm stuck here I figured I might as well share a few altcoin graphics i made/changed/edited for personal use.

Digitalcoin, now an actual coin.
A Doubloon without that tacky D.
Junkcoin with a transparent background.
Freicoin with a transparent background.

Barcoin, for schadenfreude.
359  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to merge mining power in one computer on: May 27, 2013, 04:40:30 PM
I'm running the client as a server, and using cgminer, but I'm not sure that all the other clients are mining as one. This is my network

10.0.0.100
Server running litecoin/digitalcoin client as a server
cgminer pointing to 127.0.0.1 with 800 khs/s

10.0.0.101
Client
cgminer pointing to 10.0.0.100 with 1100 khs/s

10.0.0.102
Client
cgminer pointing to 10.0.0.100 with 900 khs/s

Using this configuration, I'm solo mining at 2800 Khs/s? Undecided

You should probably make sure to set rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 and rpcallowip=10.0.0.* in litecoin/digitalcoin.conf as well, and I think you need to set a port to connect to. Otherwise, I think that sounds right. I've never done much solo mining so I'm not really an expert on it though.

I have no idea what you're saying, but I'm hearing the word "scam".
