As advised I am trying to learn the basics of crypto first.
Most of the suggestions mention investing in top ranked coins. My question is, does it always work? As far as I understand, the market is vulnerable and affects almost all the coins from top to bottom. How then you determine which ones would stay ?
why people suggested you to invest in the TOP ranked coins because its safer wich mean the risk is lower my friend because to find a good project with a lot of potential in lower rank on coinmarketcap is hard my friend we should look all sides from the project first, and again its not easy to do  |

I was just looking at the coinmarketcap table since 2013, I was surprised in what I saw, many coins topping the charts then are now almost non-existent, we need to be careful of the kind of coins we hodl especially for long term. Most of these projects just die after the initial hype.
thats why we must do our deep research first before decide to invest on any cryptocurrency my friend and dn't forget to think about the risk and rewards, anyway, for me the safest alts to invest in long term is the TOP 10 alts in the coinmarketkap |

i don't agree with your words about "Playing crypto" because, crypto is not a game, i think its better for you to change your mindset about cryptocurrency first my friend OP : your portofolio is good with bitcoin and ethereum as the biggest part on your portofolio, but i think you should add litecoin and binance coin in your portofolio |

the market is still not stable, moving up and down. so does ethereum. we still see some small movements that occur. but the trend will not show an increase or even a decline. this market is still unpredictable.
After today's upward movement of Bitcoin, I believe that ethereum will also show growth. In the fall, I also expect growth and the price of Ethereum will be more than 400 dollars. concolidations in crypto market is running now, wich mean the market still on sideways mode my friend i think we should waiting until Q4 for the next waves on crypto market |

ETH vs ADA
which do you prefer and why? Team, tokenomics etc.
Currently I hold ADA, but I'm dissapointed at the way the team has been handling everything. Combine that w ETH releasing their PoS and the potential of institutional $ rolling in to the blue chips (btc eth) I'm thinking of selling all my ADA for ETH. Really interested to hear your guys' perspectives

At this time, ETH has plans for 2.0 update. I think it's really better than ADA because they have specific and clear plans for the future. I don't know more plan from ADA project. if i'am not wrong, soon or later cardano will releasing their Proof of stake system too, and i'm sure, that will bring a huge demands on ADA, so, its better to keep both altcoins in our bag if we can |

There's a fair chance it will hit $50, it's not unrealistic. The IEO fever continues, and this is the main reason for BNB's growth. Whether this is sustainable in the long-term is another question. But short- and medium-term it still looks good.
yes, if we look at the growth of binance exchange with their IEO, $50 is very realistic for BNB mate,, and if the security on binance exchange getting better and better, i believe this coin is good for long term too, not only short term or mid term |

Spectrecoin is not a unique cryptocurrency.
Dash, Pivx and Veil are anonymous cryptocurrencies that support staking or masternodes.
But is PoS really better for blockchain security than PoW?
i heard about this coin and some people said if this is a fork from monero LOKI a privacy coin with Proof of stake and thats mean passive income, right ? |

Staking coins is way better than mining ,hassle free and no generating of heats ,I'm luck to come across miracle telecom project that offers token holders rewards every two weeks from the projects 40% net profits and so far so good ,the reward is not fixed but its way better that other staking coins too ,with 100 tele tokens you can easily make 1.2-2euro based on their net profit every two weeks.

ICO boom as ended?all the IEO projects i see on here are mostly running on ErC20 smart contract and many of them are successful already,many project are still using ETH smart contract
thats right a lot of IEO project born on ethereum blockchain, but remember to buy the token on Exchange during IEO we don't need ethereum my friend thats why the demands on ethereum decreasing, for example binance launchpad, investors should buy an IEO project using BNB |

Well, i really hope that there's time for the altcoins to move
My position has downsize almost 90% as even i am averaging down the alternative crypto portfolio of mine
But they never really move up against btc/eth, in terms USD yes
when bitcoin price start to grow, alt will down in btc terms, but not in usd terms thats why, better you stay with bitcoin if the price of bitcoin continues the waves my friend the key is how can we found the best positions to buy and sell altcoins in the right time wich mean, when the price of altcoins in the TOP, we can move our money from bitcoin or altcoins to stable coin so, we can collecting more cryptocurrency in the deeper price,, in my analysis now the market still on concolidations, i think we should wait a little bit more for confirmations |

When I checked Ethereum limited platform, I didn't see anything interesting as hardfork or same Ethereum. Today already you know ETHL has no future.
where you check this ethereum limited my friend ? because, i can't see a fork from ethereum called ethereum limited at coinmarketcap or maybe this alt never listed on coinmarketcap ? if yes, thats really big sign if this alt was a part from shitcoins |

Coins with prices under $1 are always attractive to invest. Some coins such as ADA, BTT, ONT, and XLM have excellent developments. My coins are used for short-term trading and are able to give profit. The high increase in Bitcoin prices is able to make an impact on all coins.
you have a good list, but, don't forget about IOTA mate, IOTA was the first DAG based cryptocurrency and i see a lot of big company already become a partner from IOTA foundations IOTA already on my portofolio, and maybe everyone should look at to Zilliqa and HOLO(HOT) i'm sure both will be huge in the future, but don't forget to DYOR |

ZCash is a great private coin, which I recommend now to take in the portfolio. Before the halving price will rise by type litecoin.
zcash is good, but for me if we comparing between zcash and monero, i will stay with monero my friend i have no doubt with monero, because this is the king of privacy coin until now |

we can't blame anyone. even projects that do not get targeted development funds are not fully scam. if they both return the collected funds and decide to close the project. I think that is a good attitude. even though the bounty won't get paid.
I agree with you... Good project always doing return funds to investors Eventhough the project fail to get funds from the investors. We must appreciate for this projects. yeah, and the OP must know, if a project failed with their ICO or didn't reach the soft cap i think, the bounty hunters will not get any rewards,, or maybe if some failed project decided to distributed the bounty rewards to participants, the tokens will be a junk on our wallet because the token do not have any value |

Not all blockchains are self-regulating. There are actually several private blockchains that have their entire functionality controlled from a single source.
XRP and Stellar are two such examples, and there are plenty of smart contracts that operate with a similar top down approach.
all of smartcontract assets are following the regulation that created by its mother chain and these assets are only using the platform as an operating system. ethereum is the most important if you look at the list, now there are many new coins that you might see and choose. vite I think to be a good coin and now it doesn't seem to show a sharp increase but vite has potential
some new projects do show the potential for good developments in the market. especially those projects that are now starting to be released in binance dex. the motion of binance dex is fast enough to find coins for listings in their exchanges. if like this, I think there will be a lot of altcoins from ERC that start migrating to BEP. the fact, the most promissing cryptocurrency in this industry was only bitcoin known as the king of cryptocurrency and ethereum as the mother of tokens becvause until now, there is no crypto can replace both cryptocurrency |
