341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you sell your dog for 100,000 usd in btc ? on: August 23, 2017, 06:23:25 PM
I might do so. But you see, the thing is I haven't had any dog or any pet in my entire life. My father won't let us have a dog most especially a cat since I have had asthma when I was young. My grandpa died from asthma, so my dad won't risk it. I grew up afraid of dogs since I was chased by one when I was just passing by the street when I was in 8th grade. So if you're gonna buy that dog I might give it to you for free and pay you instead, lol. Kidding aside, I might not had any pets in my entire life but I definitely wouldn't sell if I have one. I might not be in the position to say this but dogs are loyal and would even risk their life for their owner and that is priceless.
342  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: August 23, 2017, 05:38:24 PM
Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?

Well, I guess btc will still be popular even at a stable price. Usually, investors are looking for stability before they invest so I'm sure that btc will not lose an investor. Though, it being unstable is a great factor that attracts more people into it especially traders. It will still be popular even if the value is stable but not so much as popular as it is today. So I'd still go with unstable since it is the very reason why it got so popular that most people are eager to have their own btc.
343  Economy / Economics / Re: Compare Bitcoin to Other Investment Instruments (Stocks, Real Estates, Etc.) on: August 23, 2017, 05:19:08 PM
Hello! Thank you for considering my topic: Compare Bitcoin to Other Investment Instruments (Stocks, Real Estates, Etc.)

What do you think are the main difference/advantage/disadvantage of Bitcoin when you compare it to the most common investment instruments like Stocks, Bonds, Real Estates, etc.

Thank you!

It's hard to compare btc with other investment instruments. They have their own charecteristics and most likely that they have little to no similarities at all. When we compare, usually it's about the same thing but one with an additional feature from the other one. In this case of yours, the only thing common with them is "investment" but btc really differ from the others mentioned. Btc is decentralized, unstable and volatile but gives a really great profit. Anyone who wants to have a portion of it can have it either by buying or doing online jobs. While those other investment on the other hand requires big capital and you can't have it in portion. Take for example the real estate, you cannot just do an online job and expect to have one part of it. Can we bought the garage area first then followed by the living room? No.
344  Economy / Economics / Re: How to make money only with BTC on: August 23, 2017, 05:04:54 PM
Best way that works for me is through signature campaigns. That's where most of my btc came from. It's good to start in this method if you ate new in btc since what you'll be needing is a decent internet connection, an account in this forum, and your willingness to learn and earn. And of course most of all you'll need to understand the very purpose of this forum and be a good contributor.
345  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: August 22, 2017, 08:43:57 AM
What are the things to do to succeed in trade? What are you doing to make your business bigger?
How can we make more money?

First, you need a really good capital when starting to trade. Then a better knowledge and strategy in trading. You have to have more ammunitions here 'cause it's like a battle and you have to be prepared or you'll lose evrything you have. It's not enough to have the knowledge. You can try seeking advice to those who are experienced traders and maybe they are good enough to share some pointers with you. You can start with small trading if it is your first time then later on if you got the knack of it you can put things to a higher level of trading.
346  Economy / Economics / Re: Philippine Central Bank approves licenses for 2 cryptocurrency exchanges? on: August 22, 2017, 08:35:54 AM
Sounds like a good news to me. Since there are also a lot of miners in ph I think it's about time that we are given more options which exchange to use. And with this news I guess it is one way to let more filipino know about btc. Since most of us here are skepticals when it comes to new things such as cryptocurrencies. I hope soon there will be establishments who will accept btc as payment as well.
347  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: August 22, 2017, 04:51:28 AM
I'd prefer to invest in both bitcoin and gold. Like what the saying goes "don't put all your eggs in one basket" and I firmly believe in this.

Gold is a tangible asset and have great value. It is accepted in every part of the world and almost all people know that it is a precious metal and have many uses such as jewelry.

Bitcoin is considered an online gold because this too have great value. It might not be tangible and have limit but its value is greater than any fiat currency and as time passess its investors are growing in terms of number so its value is increasing too.

Both have their own characteristics and at the end both provide good profit.
348  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: August 22, 2017, 04:21:08 AM
We all know that there is corruption everywhere, like in government or any other organization. Because of money, corruption can always happen with greedy people who always wants more money to them. Since bitcoin can be considered as money, can it also lead to corruption?

Everything that involves money in any form leads to corruption. As you said it, it is everywhere as long as there are greedy people. I can say that every one of us are greedy but in a certain level. One example is that all of us here wants to have more btc in our wallets. It's just that most of us are working hard and in a clean way to reach that goal. But there will always be people who uses every means even illegal just to have what they want. Some are scamming people and I think it is considered a corruption.
349  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: August 22, 2017, 04:14:26 AM
If you were in desperate need for money / Bitcoins, what would you do? How to get it, earn it, whatw are your solutions and experiences? I wonder what people are ready to do when money is the problem.

I think if you are in desperate need for money the first thing you can do is to borrow from your relatives or friends. Then do next is to find a way how you will pay them back. Like if you are unemployed then find a job or if you already have a job then maybe find another source of income like part time jobs. In that way, you can surely pay them back what you owe them. You have to make sure to that because life is really unpredictable and there will come a time that you might gonna need their help again so better not to lose their trust.
350  Economy / Economics / Re: China will become Super Power ? on: August 21, 2017, 09:56:59 AM
Everything is possible if we work in the right direction. But I saw on the Internet that in China there are quite serious problems with housing for the poor, in reality there may be a situation even worse.
I think it is why they are conquering some small territories to expand their land. They are powerful in advance technology and in equipments but they can't even give housing for the poor.

That's right. China is a giant country having good technology and economy. But they surely lack things that are vital one of each is care for humanity. They are greedy and want things that aren't theirs in the first place. I just hope that someday they will realize it and stop bullying small countries.

352  Economy / Speculation / Re: Peak of Bitcoin price on: August 19, 2017, 06:17:50 AM
hi guys,

What are the prediction of bitcoin price peak at? wondering if holding on or selling them at current price is a good idea.

cheers!

Like everybody else would say here, I strongly agree that no one really knows the peak. If you are planning for  long term of investment then you should not worry about this thing right now. It's fun to watch the rise and fall of the graph but I guess just go on with your life routine and check back again when you're ready to decide on what you want to do with your holdings.
353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does every mainstream media article on Bitcoin end in negativity? on: August 19, 2017, 04:13:17 AM
Yes, most of them really do that. But I think they missed the idea that the fact that they are writing anything about btc makes it even more popular. It's just like their writing negative about celebrities but people still follow them. Though some people will steer away right after reading that, we can't dismiss the fact that most people are now smarter than they think. We're not like back in the days where we believe the mainstream media. We now know how to do fact checking since we're in a technology era and with the use of internet informations are just right at the end our tips.
354  Economy / Speculation / Re: is there any chance to BTC value go down? on: August 19, 2017, 03:51:28 AM
Of course there is always a chance for btc value to go down. That is always the trend in any investment. It is not always going up. There will always be correction but on a minimal phase. Btc holders, including me, are waiting for that drop so we could acquire more instead of selling it right away. That's how you should invest if you're planning to. Everyday is always a great chance it just depends on whether a chance to buy or a chance to sell. But mostly, you should keep your btc as long as you can.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC be at $5,000? on: August 18, 2017, 01:53:50 PM
When will BTC value be $5,000

When do you think?

In an older post back in December 05 2013 I post a thread asking when do you think BTC would be at $2,000, well it took almost 42 months to achieved that goal.

Here is the older thread
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=359105.msg3842063#msg3842063

Now that the price is at $2,259 USD, I am asking the same Question, but changing the target to $5,000 USD.

To think that the value of btc doubled within just 4 months I don't think we are going to wait longer for $5,000. In two weeks time, that's my prediction. If it didn't happen, don't worry we're not gonna wait for another 42 months. Bitcoin right now is so famous that I'm more worried that we won't be seeing $2000 any more. I hope one day even just for a day for that to happen for me to buy more btc. I'll be waiting for that moment but right now let us enjoy the bubble.
356  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don´t you fear a sudden government ban ? on: August 18, 2017, 01:27:00 PM
I don't think there's a reason for the government to ban btc so there's nothing to fear. Btc helps in economic growth that's why I don't think they will ban the use of it. The government saw its potential that's why they decided to support it in the first place. The only thing they can do is make sure that the its uses won't get out of hand and make sure to properly regulate it by making effective bills.
357  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Breaks Above $4000, What’s Next? on: August 18, 2017, 01:01:51 PM
Yep, good question: no one can answer what will happen in the futures, people buying bitcoin today, no matter what price we have now, So I think prices will go up 5000$ next few months, of course drop is possible but not more than 3500$

If bitcoin will drop it will be just at least $3900 going beyond that is rarely to happen even it is volatile.
Constantly rising will continue to rise as many good stories are coming up in the news so many investors will definitely buy. I think we will end this year by $6000. So just hold our coins as many things will surely happen in bitcoin.

That's what I thought too. I agree that 3900 will be the lowest drop of btc and it will not go beyond that. This is because investors are confident with btc that's why the value will not go back to 2000 unless people stop investing. Which is very unlikely especially right now. Masterluc said that by the end of this year we will be seeing 15000. Although it is quite exaggerated, we do know that there's nothing impossible in btc.
358  Economy / Speculation / Re: How Long Bitcoin Will Bullish on: August 18, 2017, 03:56:21 AM
I guess bitcoin will continue to bullish as long as more and more investors are investing in it. And with this month's thread I think it will continue until next year. Other pioneers even predicting it to bubble as high as 15,000 by the end of the year. But I'm still having doubt about that number. Although there's nothing impossible with btc right now. If that happens we'll all be flying to the moon!
359  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will up. dont worrry on: August 17, 2017, 01:25:40 PM
Yes, it seemed that it would go down a bit yesterday, but was just a very little bit. 4400 today... Maybe 4600 tomorrow? who knows. Seems unstoppable right now.

And we are enjoying it

You got it right I'm definitely enjoying it. Seems like watching a movie and we're about to see the climax part. Oh, I need me some popcorn and coke! Grin

Kidding aside, I am 100% sure that we can see $5000 by the end of this month. Okay, more popcorn. Lol.
360  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin rises, so people Google ‘bitcoin,’ so then bitcoin rises on: August 17, 2017, 01:19:36 PM
I believe this is true. Due to the mainstream media btc curiousity is higher that makes them search about it. Not to mention the influential people promoting and investing in it. People seeing some publicity stunt such as that of the latest dota tournament guy holding a banner that urges people to buy btc. Being curious is natural for us that's why when we see or read unfamiliar things the first thing we do is to google it.
