Moeda Selected Seed — Daring Women

Nothing in agroindustry is easy, let alone running your own tropical fruit pulp company. But don’t tell that to the 22 women that are the co-owners or workers for the second project of Moeda’s Pilot Seed Program, the aptly named Daring Women. These women aim not only to produce their own locally-produced frozen treats, but also sell them in the local market themselves. Moeda’s will be providing an estimated USD $103,000.00 loan to Daring Women so they could purchase and build the facilities to store their frozen pulps in the warm climate of Formosa. This project helps to end hunger, provide good health and well-being, promote economic growth, and build better partnerships in the community, which are all UN sustainable development goals. GXChain Projects Progress Report Jan. 8th  - 12th

• Optimize Wallet API performance.

• The first “to customer” application(Dapp) on GXChain, Blockcity, launched on January, 12th. Blockcity reached 9999 residents in 27 minutes of opening, 50k residents in less than 7 hours, and 200k residents in 3 days of opening. Currently, Blockcity is opened for China only, and will open to more countries in the future. We will continually optimize the experience in Blockcity, and add new services.

Crowdfunding App Demo, Team Expansion, 1Protocol and New Whitepaper

We’ve been hard at work building Boost, our crowdfunding platform. In this week’s update, we show a preview of the platform in action. Every user of our app can use Boost to raise funds for any project. In the demo video, the user first navigates to a crowdfunding section of the app, and then enters information about the crowdfunding event like duration, funding goal, and background information. This information is then stored to the testnet blockchain. Afterward, the crowdfunding event is viewable in the projects feed. We’ve set the app to automatically approve all projects for Alpha testing. Below we show a video demo of Boost in action:

Crowdfunding Smart Contracts

We’re continuing to build out various testing scenarios for our crowdfunding smart contracts. At this time, all crowdfunding scenarios run as expected. We’ll continue to test these rigorously over the next week. We’ve also already completed a draft of the documentation for our upcoming crowdfunding smart contract demo. This will allow other developers to test and interact with the crowdfunding smart contract.

This week, David met with one of the founders of 1Protocol in San Francisco. 1Protocol has created smart contracts allowing users with idle cryptocurrencies to stake them and earn interest. The platform was founded by Stanford dropouts Axel Ericsson and Zackary Lawrence. For a detailed description of their platform, see their white paper here. One example use case for their platform is Ether staking in the upcoming Casper upgrade. Using smart contracts, 1Protocol enables users to put idle value to use by creating “Virtual Workers” which link “Capitalists” (those staking currency) to “Operators” (those with idle computing power). Their smart contracts are generalized and can handle Ether and any Ethereum token, and they’re also developing an intuitive front end interface called 1Client to interact with their smart contracts.

Incorporating 1Protocol would be as easy as adding a button to stake idle ELIX and earn interest on our wallet page, and linking our app to their platform via a few function calls. We believe this could be another way to reduce the circulating supply of ELIX while allowing ELIX holders to earn interest. According to one of the founders, they already have strong interest in their platform from owners of cryptocurrencies who don’t wish to cash out their holdings. We anticipate their platform providing a service that if incorporated could further motivate people to use our app. We’re still exploring their platform and conducting further research, and will definitely be testing their Alpha in the next few months and seeing if there’s a fit for a partnership.

Expansion

We’re currently in discussions with AE.Studio, a software consulting firm cofounded by one of our contacts. AE would provide consulting engineers, product managers, designers, and any other product development resources necessary. We’d be working closely with them on our product. This has the added advantage of gaining help and insight from a team experienced with building a deploying great products. Over the next few weeks, we’re discussing the details, and if we choose to use AE we may start with several weeks of contracting work — testing and altering our smart contracts — and then move from there.

We’ve also had the opportunity to speak to several other engineers and one possible intern. We believe in the past week we’ve made significant progress in finding the people and resources to get our product to the next stage.

We’ll let the community know when we make a final decision regarding this. We’re also talking to several different designers at this time to allow us to choose from as many options as possible.

Time flies and it has been over a month since our last update. Today, i would like to share with you the progress we made since our last monthly report and outline the plans for the month of January

Marketing

As mentioned in Dec updates, one of the key areas were focusing on is content generation. For the month of Dec, we were writing one article under the FYN account everyday. Currently we are a contributing writer to the top 3 crypto/tech publication on Medium (The Mission, Hackernoon & Good Audience). Over the last month itself, we crossed 100,000 views on medium for the articles we wrote, and we garnered about 1463 fans organically. Show your support by following us on medium if you have not yet.

One of the article i personally wrote gathered over 10k views on medium and got featured on Zero Hedge, a leading financial news website, with over 100k views. We also got featured again on the front page of Business Times Singapore. We are working hard to establish ourselves as a thought leader in the crypto-currency space.

By end of this month, we are launching a new channel called Blockchain Hunt, where we will hunt and review the latest Decentralized App (Dapps). If 2017 was the year of ICOs, 2018 will be the year Dapps. There is an incredible number of products launching in 2018 and having this channel will align well to our vision at FYN, which is to make Great Ideas Happen. We will be able to feature FYN projects and get them the visiblity they need through these channels.

Our first three reviews will be covering Kyber Network, Digix & Tron and we will be working with an popular cryptocurrency youtuber to launch this channel.

By end of Mar, we hope to be able to hit monthly views of at least a quarter million a month through our video and news articles. Currently, we have also started doing content marketing for the ICOs under us and we expect significant revenue to come in from the media side (PR & Content Marketing) in the next few months.

Solar energy is one of the promising areas of renewable energy, based on the direct use of solar radiation to generate energy for heating, electricity and water heating. Just a few years ago it was hard to believe that solar energy will be able to compete with the usual sources of energy. Dreams came true.

New records in 2017
This year, some parts of the world have tried to live only on renewable energy sources.
The first was a province of China. The Qinghai government conducted a successful experiment on the temporary transition to renewable sources. Thus, people (around 6 million!) was able to live 7 full days, providing the needs due to the energy of the sun, wind and water.

The next world record was put by the state of Costa Rica. The country was able to meet its needs exclusively at the expense of renewables for almost a year! It took 300 days when 100 percent of electricity production was from renewable sources of energy — this is a real achievement for a country of about 5 million people.

Solar power — trend of the year
A record minimum was set for the cost of solar energy in November 2017: Following Saudi Arabia, Mexico set a tariff equal to 1.77 ¢ / kWh (by ENEL Green Power). This price allowed the company to win a tender for the construction of four major projects with a total capacity of 682 MW.

Further drop in prices will be caused by increased efficiency of solar panels. Recently, JinkoSolar once again broke its own record, achieving in laboratory conditions the efficiency of polycrystalline batteries at 23.45%. Compared to the standard efficiency of 16.5%, this improvement is 42%. And this means, 42% less effort will have to spend on their installation, maintenance and placement.

Record investment volume
With increased global capacity and lower cost of solar energy, interest of the largest corporations has increased significantly:

Oil corporations began to invest in clean energy.
*BP paid $ 200 million to get a 43% stake in Europe’s largest manufacturer of solar panels. The company will be renamed into Lightsource BP, and representatives of BP will get two seats in management. Thus, BP again
 returned to business, which left 6 years ago, considering it unprofitable.
*American giants of investment-banking companies Citigroup and JPMorgan both have their intentions to fully use renewable energy sources by 2020.
 Google has annonced its 100% transition to RES. Total company investments to clean energy reached $3.5 billion.

In the new 2018 Solar Energy industry will still increase its pace of development. It is generally agreed that a complete transition to renewable energy will take place in 2050.

2017 has been a huge year for Gnosis. Since our token sale last April, Gnosis has grown in so many ways. While our team size expanded from 7 to 35 employees in the last year, we’ve developed many exciting products (Gnosis Olympia, the Dutch Exchange) which also led us to redefine our mission and brand statement. We have a long road in front of us, and are moving forward with increasing momentum.

Both our website and white paper haven’t seen an update since our token sale, and certainly didn’t reflect all the things we’re currently working on, or convey the mission that drives us every day. ETHLend and Enigma Partner to bring Secret Contracts to Decentralized Lending

STORM Expands in Asia with Ink

To further expand our community in Asia, we have partnered with Chinese blockchain company Ink Labs Foundation.

Ink Labs Foundation will provide STORM with technical support on affiliate and cross-chain agreements to help access additional IP resources. In addition, STORM will become an important node in the INK IP incubation system, where the focus will be on co-producing high quality game content for the Storm Market gamified micro-task platform. The strategic partnership with Ink will help both companies execute on the shared vision of creating a decentralized free market utilizing blockchain technology.
