341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ALERT***A new SCAM COINDASH from the scammers of GETGEMZ scam project!!!!!! on: May 07, 2017, 11:47:49 AM
The CEO fucker from this is the same Jewish bastard who was part of team behind GETGEMS. He was Daniel Peled's right hand man and the actual developer. I think I recognise some of the other names too.

GET GEMS if you dont know scammed the fuck out of 1million dollars and delivered NOTHING but an empty Telegram clone. Just for that they deserve NOTHING!!

GET GEMS went onto using the money from the ICO to fund a new banking venture called PAYKEY that completely blocked out the investors of GETGEMS and gave all the rights and profits to the big banks....these are fuckers trust me.

These fucker treat Crypto ICO's like a fucking piggybank for their own fucking private company launches.....fuck I'm angry!! I lost $50,000 on this project. If this forum had any ethics it would close their thread to protect the community.

Thats pretty interesting that the Original ICO was 250sats!!

I assume as the coin count went from 100m to around 650m then the actual price the original ICO people paid was actually averaged out around 38 sats!!!!(250sats/6.5=38) Not this 1sat BS people have been FUD ing with. 1sat was simply what original investors were dumping at.

This also mean I personally bought at even lower than the ICO price and so had even more advantage than the developers. Which means absolutely no one can FUD on distribution as it sat below ICO prices for at least a week with not many takers, is it our fault Yobit traders aren't very bright?  Grin

We don't actually know the average price that was paid. I don't think many bought at 250 though (if anyone).

What happened is that Borz was able to identify all the actual purchases in the ICO (on the blockchain) and he saved them all. There were 650 million purchased by real investors and those are the XBY we have now. I was one such investor, Borz was also and the rest of you know who you are...

It was decided to do everything different... No mining, No POW, No POS... So, the supply will always remain at 650 million and those locked into STaTiC nodes are out of circulation. Then he decided he would build his PoSign into the XBY blockchain and here we are...

It is gonna be a wild ride folks!! Everyone here now and in the near future are going to reap incredible benefits if we are able to (as a collective XtraBYtes Community) turn this into a massive success. As it stands, we have a rock solid foundation starting to shape up and the collective intelligence and experience we have already, is extremely impressive.

Great work everyone! Great Vision!!

Its got to be one of the most positive and interesting stores in Crypto for a while. Its going to make for a great story once it hits the Crypto press and beyond.

Can't wait to see what the future holds for this coin. From what I can tell Devs are very active building a strong community which is an amazing foundation to build upon. The price still seems way under valued IMO... No where to go but up!!

We still need to check of nodes and cords system is working as it should. But yes the price is very very undervalued due to noobs on Yobit trying to crash the price down for last week. Even at this early stage we should be at 500 sats or more.

My wallet is saying warning the version is obsolete? I updated a couple of days ago? Is there a newer update?

Hi please find the latest version here: https://github.com/borzalom/XtraBYtes/releases/tag/windows-STaTiCpre

I am on a Mac. I don't plan on doing a node, which one do you recommend the static node one or the one without node set up?

EDIT: I upgraded to new static node wallet for MAC but its still saying its obsolete?

I see, unfortunately it seems the latest MAC wallet has not yet been compiled.

Ok no problem I'll wait. Is there any risk of having obsolete wallets by the way?

Be great later of we had automatic updates.

XtraBYtes - A Paradigm Shift In Blockchain Consensus

Make sure you officially enter this one or at least say others can. I think its very good.
349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: May 07, 2017, 05:25:05 AM
This project definitely has my interest with its Proof of Signature concept. I'll be following along and will be pleased (as I'm sure you're tired of hearing this) when the website & logo are changed.

By then you will complain that coins are too expensive or find someone other stupid reason to complain. Go away

Its funny how really shit coin scams never get people moaning about the little stuff on their threads. I accept some stupid FUD like this coin is shit it will dump etc as par the course but its the subtle criticism that is the real FUD usually. Saying that, people should be allowed to voice criticism IF its legitimate. The last thing you want is a thread of hyped up sycophants.

Just wanted to say, if people are buying on Yobit try to put a small amount of BTC on the buy wall, everyone putting .1 btc even will add up.  It discourages the fake dumpers trying to drag the market down artificially. And if they do dump then you get coins cheaper. Ive found even 1-2 btc completely stops fake dumps cause most of the people who want the price down dont have much, I would feel sorry for them but they want YOUR coins cheap and most aren't going to hold long term anyway.  They should just buy and not play around...but this is Yobit so I dont expect that anytime soon.
350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does every new tech require an ICO? Is it just the funding? on: May 07, 2017, 04:34:09 AM
ICO's ruined crypto for me. XBY which isn't an ICO but has just as much new tech but aren't doing a money grab like IOTA type ICO it is reminding me what I loved about it all a few years ago. I fucking hate ICO's all the money goes to some assholes just out of University who move into a new office and get drunk and high on coke in local bars high fiving each other about how fucking smart they are and how dumb people are for giving them a million dollars for just cloning a shitcoin. I just can't bear looking at their smug faces on their websites and telling everyone they need $100,000 dollars a week just for costs....fuck them!!!

FUCK ICO's and FUCK THE WANKERS WHO DO THEM

The best way is the developers have a small premine for themselves maybe 1-3%. Then at least as Nassim Taleb says they actually have skin in the game and I don't degrade developers from getting rich IF they actually deliver to investors. I mean once an ICO has got a ton of money what motivation have they got to actually deliver anything? I'm getting angry now I got to stop typing...
351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: May 06, 2017, 05:13:35 PM
It's different because the Static Nodes are sharing the 100 XBY fee for transfers. In my eyes, 100XBY is too much and needs to be changed. It might not seem like much now but if the price rises to 1$, it's not scalable. The transaction price should be dynamic. It's a complex thing to pull off though because you want to create incentives for holding Static Nodes, but you don't want to charge too much either. Since the project is in its infancy, then I am sure it will be revised eventually.

In any case, XBY has no premine and no post-mine. All coins that will exist are created and are available to everyone through the exchanges. Nodes share the 100XBY reward between one another.

Staking on the other hand "mints" new currency by allowing holders of the coin to participate in the consensus mechanism. They are in turn rewarded for solving a block. It's much different from XBY's Proof of Signature.

Although I haven't seen a whitepaper and I can't verify that POSign works or exists.

And obviously there will be a lot less NODES than wallets even if XBY grows massive. I heard a dash Node while costing like 100btc pays out like 1btc a day or something. Nodes pay well is my point.

I'm not sure on this but I think nodes will also pass hands in the future. If someone wants to sell their coins and get rid of the node they can also sell it to someone else. So not only can you earn from a node, you can also sell them. Which as they are actually Free (i.e. you don't lose any capital having one, just store it) thats actually a great deal and anyone who thinks of XBY as a longer term investment really has no reason not to have their coins in nodes.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: May 06, 2017, 02:53:43 PM
Static nodes are great.  But there are many steps involved and a little bit scary (at least for me).  If this coin is to be more widely adopted, it must become easier to work with.  Just my two XBY...

Well only a certain number of nodes are necessary or even possible, leave that to the more technical if you really don't feel comfortable with it. Also making a node is pretty complicated for all coins, its about as easy as it gets from the XBY wallet.  For everyone else, the average user its no different to using Bitcoin.
353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: May 06, 2017, 02:21:11 PM
What is the ICO price?

Its complicated. A scammer did did an ICO on CCEX. (BITMOX) you can find it on the forums here. Two people from the investors who lost money talked together and requested the wallet on CCEX was forked, a developer and a marketeer. The developer had some long incubating ideas he wanted to try. XtraBYtes was born. Its a pretty unique and positive story. Anyway it sat on Yobit for a week at very low prices 1-15sats then the developer revealed the roadmap for static nodes and it blew up in a matter of days. This happened only 2 weeks ago. I was lucky to buy some around 40 sats. But I would say at 1.5m market cap in my opinion is an absolute golden ticket.

The only reason the price hasn't gone up more is heavy manipulation on Yobit and the static node system hasn't gone live yet but should do in around 10 days after 50k block.

This was an early thread when the community was trying to recover after the scam. Its a unique story and an even more unique coin. I sense it could be one of the big stories in Crypto this year.

Love it.

Yeah I won't bother with making them official, if someone thinks any of them are good they can use it for their entry.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: May 06, 2017, 07:44:15 AM
So far I like this best:

The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution

My suggestions:

XtraBYtes: A radical new way to do the blockchain.

XtraBYtes: A Consensus Revolution.    (very clickbait and very punchy, short and to the point, I think its my favourite  Cheesy)

XtraBYtes : Blockchain 3.0

XtraBTtes: Something Different

XtraBYtes: Bitcoin but with Extra Byte!

XxtraBYtes: A better way to do Crypto.

XtraBYtes: A completely new way to secure and create consensus using Chords.

*I guess I was thinking get people intrigued and separate it from the crowd to click on OP to read up rather than trying to squeeze the entire project in 5 words or less. While I like the Proof of Signature blockchain revolution and similar there are a hundred other OP's that sound kind of similar and have similar language...and I probably wouldn't click on them.

I recommend people look at Announcement ANN and think what wording would stand out and make them click.

Never even considered their ability to do something like this  Shocked

https://youtu.be/Jp6TRP7epRk

I expect you think something like this will help the dwindling PIVX price. Actually to me it highlights the problem with PIVX that is it just a copy paste coin that has been pumped and has not real innovation of justification for its existence so it's looking for something to keep the bullshit party going.

PIVX is a dash cut and paste worthless coin and will in time return to the dust it came from.

Lol... bump this in a week

No one said the coin won't get more pumped, it might. Doesn't mean its not a copy paste shit looking for a windscreen to splat into.
360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing? on: May 06, 2017, 06:17:49 AM
Go easy on the visuals, its only a week old and websites and new logos are being put in place by an enthusiasitc exploding community BUT.

Completely new consensus. NO POW, NO POS but Proof Of Signature. Static offline nodes are trusted and unhackable, Consensus is a unique virtual Chords system. This makes for fast , secure unhackable chain.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chord_(peer-to-peer)      link doesn't seem to work for some reason, google (Chords P2P)
