3401  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For OTC Traders: Beware of "Flash bitcoin" or Fake Bitcoin Transaction on: April 10, 2021, 05:39:42 PM
My Advice

1. Please wait for at least 1 confirmation before paying your clients.

2. You're 100% responsible for all coins you trade. Only pay trusted partners before confirmation.

3. Ask your clients to send hash after coin is sent, it helps in tracing coin.

4. Don’t just buy coins.... Study blockchain technology

5. Thumbs up to all great guys taking full responsibility.

P.S: I call such coins "flash coins" because it appears and disappears after a while

Scammers are taking the advantage of high network fee to scam people and exactly what they are doing is double spending.

You should never trust anyone no matter trusted or not, once you got 6+ confirmation then you can consider that the transaction is completed so don't release or pay funds to the seller.
3402  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you use Uphold? on: April 10, 2021, 07:37:01 AM
@OP, it is legit but not very popular as you think but they do allow people to withdraw crypto currencies so if you have any funds you can withdraw them but their cons is their high fee structure compared to other reputed exchanges.

I never used it while their ratings on apple store and google playstore are pretty impressive.
3403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments ban Bitcoin like they did with Gold? on: April 10, 2021, 06:51:53 AM
They can ban but they can't stop Bitcoin but its not likely to happen in the future. All they will do is to increase the tax rates to insane amount so people will have no choice other than moving to other investment assets or black market.
3404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment is limited on: April 09, 2021, 06:31:56 PM
This problem is not new or particular to crypto or bitcoin. The same applies to fiat. Although bitcoin was created to solve financial problems I'm afraid this one hasn't been discovered yet.
OP gave a story about a blind man and a boy. In my head, the blind man represents the nay sayers, those that doubt and don't believe in bitcoin. The handicap are those that believe in bitcoin but do not possess the funds to buy and are constantly procrastinating buying bitcoin for one reason or the other. The little boy represents the bitcoin enthusiasts like us who are constantly trying to lead others into the new world of crypto and share our knowledge with the rest of the world.
Ah!! The way my mind works
But fiat money can be touched with our hand so the blind person can feel the value of the note with their experience but it is not possible with digital fiat nor crypto while we are having lot of developments in the technology especially to the blind people. So in future we may have treatments to cure most kind of blindness or atleast some technology to convert text to talk with more advanced feature.
3405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is there any good alternative to Bitgo Wallet? on: April 09, 2021, 05:33:42 PM
You can find some alternative in this thread here ['list] Bitcoin Payment Processors

BTCPay is good, trusted and you can run full node (but require high storage) or you can use Lunanode too for less fees charged.
Is Bitgo is a payment processor? I can see its just an exchange and lending platform when I open their official site but never hears of it until now.

@OP, the real wallet don't have any charges to hold your cryptos but what kind of assets you wanted to store there?
3406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin demand among Workers globally!! on: April 09, 2021, 03:54:10 PM
I am not actually sure that this picture is actually made with actual scenario but no one ever asked to pay them in bitcoins because of the price volatility, imagine the price dumped 20% overnight at the salary day can cause huge issue for the people and especially this day the network will be highly congested and also Whales can use this day for manipulating prices.
3407  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: My bitcoin is frozen at Paxful and they won't let me withdraw it on: April 09, 2021, 12:22:43 PM
as of right now there is nothing changed...

You can't expect something to change in 3 or 4 days, things like this aren't resolved overnight, so arm yourself with patience and hope for the best outcome. I think this is your best chance, because you're sure someone will look at your ticket - but now it's all up to Paxful to decide if there are elements to unblock your account or at least get your money back.
The think I know right now that they are going to keep ignoring me Sad just like what the guy did to me earlier!
Support system on the crypto trading platforms sucks, only you can feel it when you met some issues like this and they never try to help you even with the money stuck there. This also can be a lesson for us to move towards decentralization.
3408  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin and default mobile wallet on: April 09, 2021, 09:22:56 AM
Imagine a scenario when all mobile phone companies finally decided to add a custom default bitcoin wallet to all of their devices as factory app. I believe that will further increase the adoption of bitcoin
No, it is not a great idea. But they may initiate such kind of idea in future when bitcoin adoption is in mainstream because they can take the custody of the user's bitcoins and cryptos with the wallet they installed and it is also going to be a wallet with full of ads which no one ever wanted to install.
3409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it fake sites ? please help.... on: April 08, 2021, 11:41:22 PM
@OP. coinmama is a legit crypto exchange allows people from many countries but never heard of oksdaq even google don't give much results for that name but few of them showing that is from South Korea or atleast the name on it but it seems like a complete scam and you lost that 3000 euros dude.
You are not wrong, Coinmama is a legit site that people can use to buy cryptocurrencies using credit card, but oksdaq.com is a scam site. If OP deposited money on that site, the money is as good as lost. It is very good good to look for legit sites to buy and trade cryptocurrencies, rather than the uncommon ones that can be scam.
The investment advise from a tinder girl is too good to be true when they are just a random person to you. Cheesy

ICO,IEO,IDO and now DEFI, in future lot more to come so this is a lesson for him to stay away from hype trend investment schemes.
3410  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: is it fake sites ? please help.... on: April 08, 2021, 08:50:32 PM

3411  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Local bitcoin auto reply bot needed API on: April 08, 2021, 07:46:19 PM
Hi

I need someone with experience of making a Python bot to auto reply in Local bitcoin using its API.

Previous experience with local bitcoin API is essential, also not charging extortionate amounts
Do Local bitcoin TOS allow auto reply using bots? I thought that they would prevent it because it would be like pure spam or fake feedback.
If the platform detects that you are doing this via a bot, your account will be blocked, your funds will be frozen and you may not be able to use that site again.
you will risk with your account by using that bot.
Yes, they are allowing it because sometimes I too buy BTC from someone when I exhausted BTC on my LBC wallet. So I had experience that I got automated reply about how and what are the requirements for the payments or their payment details immediately after opening the trade but I never used it by myself.

EDIT

Found an Youtube video about creating auto responsder for LBC using python : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IIYYZIGuf_o
3412  Economy / Economics / Re: Miners Hodling Rates Increases. on: April 08, 2021, 06:22:31 PM
Holding bitcoin to dump at the higher price could be the real reason why miners are holding but it is the actual reason why the price of bitcoin is stable now? I am not sure in the past we had similar situation or not but surely the dump will come when holders starts to dump their coins either who are miners or investors.
Yeah regardless of people who are mining or investing, must be waiting for big price levels to dump and then to buy back at cheaper price levels. This must be the basic reason why bitcoin is still remaining highly volatile. But the thing we need to notice here, when there is a trend among miners about holding rather than immediate dumping, then that will definitely contribute into stronger bull run. Regardless of how many miners are holding from the beginning, if there is a such trend then that will definitely get them big profits even at least in short-term.

I'm counting this topic like another big reason which will be trigger bitcoin into very big price levels by end of this year or before it will be getting into bear mode. Basically I'm looking for $100 before end of this year but now I guess I need to adjust it further Wink.
When it comes to bitcoin mining then mostly mining farms are doing it so even if a particular mining farm decide to HODL it until certain time then it will affect the percentage for sure and they have their reasons for holding as well, Probably they also aimng for the 100K but it may not happen till the end of this year which is even possible in the next month but all I am thinking is we will see the bears before the end of 2021.
3413  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin are good and not USDT what else? on: April 08, 2021, 05:49:02 PM
It will be more safe if you withdraw all the fiat money from your bank account and keep them in a locker but this cryptocurrency is not only about savings, its all about transacting and how easy it can be with the decentralized blockchain network like Bitcoin.
Locker isn't really safe, and bank while could freeze your bank account out of the blue like anytime definitely safer than locking your money up in your locker since if anyone figure it out you might get robbed and risking your life. However bitcoin in the other hand, wouldn't get your wallet frozen out of the blue unless you used wallet provided by exchange or such. I think the main point here is that no intervention by third party can be done when it come to decentralized system.
OP wanted to prove that USDT is better than the bitcoin that is why I said why we need bitcoin and why we have bitcoin now. And the above quoted part is why USD or any fiat is better than USDT.

3415  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Online Gambling 'or' Day trading cryptos- Which one is more lucrative? on: April 07, 2021, 04:44:05 PM
With all the information stated above, in my opinion, I would definitely prefer trading than gambling. Speaking of gambling, I still gamble seldomly but I have had numerous unlucky encounters with sports gambling to stay away from it. Humans are the most complicated creatures to predict. Instead, I prefer casino games. Since there is no emotions but luck it will always be my choice of gambling.
Well, IMO it all depends on what you as an individual likes. I am the type of person that doesn’t like gambling, and I have always stayed clear from it so if you ask me that kind of question I am definitely going to tell you that trading is the better option. But, that doesn’t mean that there are not people who are making money through gambling, some people are doing that.

I am seeing people who are investing money that’s worth thousands of dollars in gambling, and most of them around my side are into sports betting, that’s the trend for them this side. Some of them will place bets with these huge amounts of money and still lose them all. This is really crazy. Well, that can also be the same situation when it comes to trading but that one can be controlled by using stop loss.
Trading should not be overdone but its 24/7 market, so who knows the time may comes at any time for a day trader and when someone is so desperate about making money with their day trading is at high risk of getting depressed. Even the people who loves to trade needs to take break and spend time with their family and friends then just allocating separate time will lessen the risk.

3417  Other / Meta / Re: My account was stolen on: April 07, 2021, 11:43:34 AM
^ Recoveries might work only if the real owner wants it to be back and you can consider that it is your account anymore since someone proved the ownership but the user can get the red tag for defaulting your loan then the account will be useless in this forum anymore.
3418  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can you trace back to the sender of a transaction when receiving currency? on: April 07, 2021, 08:54:42 AM
It would be like being able to read all the past and future transaction of someone's else bank account just be receiving fiat money from that someone.

Is this how it works? Am i missing something? Is this how it's supposed to work ? I know Ethereum blockchain is supposed to be transparent, but that's from one personal wallet to another.
Fairly, it is not possible to find the transaction list of a bank account just only with a transaction received on your side but it is possible for someone who is in power and can contact the bank officials while in blockchain everything is transparent so anyone can track any details if you managed to find the wallets from where the transaction was originated. Don't forget the network is decentralized but not completely anonymous.

Meanwhile there are options to break the relation with the crypto mixers.
3419  Economy / Economics / Re: Are "Work Ethics" & "American Dream" a way to keep people working hard? on: April 06, 2021, 09:38:23 PM
People who succeeded worked really hard to achieve their goals in life which is what shown in the media but every people who is working hard become rich? No and never as long as they are living in a society. Only people who realized the need of working hard in the sector where people wanted to become consumer became rich for example Apple and Google.
3420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal created crypto checkout service!! on: April 06, 2021, 07:00:17 PM
Centralized exchanges voids the anonymity but Paypal stealing the crypto access itself, because no withdrawal or send option is available for the cryptos purchased using Paypal so they are having the access to the funds which is also limited should not be encouraged in the long term goals.

From what I have heard, PayPal will enable withdrawals to third party wallets in a few months. It doesn't make much difference for ordinary people who want to invest small amounts such as $100 or $200 in Bitcoin. They will purchase their coins using PayPal and then when the time comes they will sell their coins there and withdraw the amount in USD or any other fiat currency. Obviously for experienced cryptocurrency users, that is an unsatisfactory proposition.
I don't think that it is real news, Paypal plans for 2021 don't have such proposals or maybe am I outdated?

But if they allow people to withdraw cryptos then it will become on of the highly traded crypto exchange in the next few months. Cheesy
