3401  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happends the 15th in china? on: April 15, 2014, 04:14:23 PM
Today is April 15th.

Here's what's happening:

Thank you for putting this together, I'll see you at the fair!!
3403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Damn you Amazon, you'll come round soon enough on: April 15, 2014, 04:07:28 PM
don't worry, the USD is going into hyperinflation within this decade, bitcoin's time will come soon afterwards.
That's correct. I don't think most people realize how bad things are going to get in the VERY near future (by my estimate closer to 2-3 years than 10, FYI).

3404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as property; btc to usd is a refund, why money transmitter licenses? on: April 15, 2014, 01:07:35 PM
I was thinking about this, if Bitcoin is treated as property in the USA...
Bitcoin is not treated as property in the US, because Bitcoin doesn't exist "in the USA". The United States is a landmass. Bitcoin is a decentralized, global digital curency. Think of it as "Earthcoin".

The IRS ruling is a bad joke. It would be like ancient Rome attempting to levee a tax on the forging of every sword worldwide, because they believe they are the "masters of the sword" or some shit.

Licenses, laws, fees - these things are all just as silly and irrelevant to Bitcoin as they would be if governments tried to apply them to torrents. It's basically the same technology.

The important thing to understand about the relationship between any global cryptocurrency and any local nation-state government is this:

The technology has ALL the power, the government has NONE. Think about the inevitable way this will play out, long-term.

Governments will bend over and take Bitcoin right in the ass. They'll be begging for it when (notice I didn't say IF) their clownish fiat-scrip plunges into the darkest depths of worthlessness.

That fact, ladies and gentlemen, is why every holder of 1+ BTC is already very, very rich. The world just hasn't figured it out yet. Be patient and

3405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't walk on the edge of the law! Shrem is getting fucked - here's why... on: April 15, 2014, 01:04:01 PM
@OP

If you think businessmen in capitalism can be reduced to "good guy" and "bad guy", you have the mind of a simple child and probably shouldn't be allowed to use the internet.

Let alone cryptocurrency.

OP's signature reads, "Bitcoin will die soon", ergo, OP is a troll and should be ignored.
3406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most efficient way to earn bitcoins without spending money? on: April 15, 2014, 02:18:32 AM
The question you asked, slightly rephrased: "What is the most efficient way to earn money without spending money?"

Sorry kid, but this is capitalism. You've got to spend money to make money - everyone knows that. The only alternative is wage-slavery. Not very appealing, I know.

It's kind of like gravity. The bigger your pile of money, the more money your pile will attract.

The smaller your pile of money, the more likely some or all your money will be siphoned off by the gravity created by the mass of some other guy's fortune.

No, it's not fair, but that's life in capitalism. If you don't like it, you should consider preaching anti-capitalism.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to browsing for multimillion dollar condos in Manhattan.
3407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Damn you Amazon, you'll come round soon enough on: April 14, 2014, 07:08:15 PM

They still have impressive proportion of international retail market - would have sent Ƀ prices trending North, if they had gone the other way  Sad
Patience, young Padawan. The truth is self-evident. All businesses will be transacting in BTC within a few years.

Forgive me, now I must return to my meditations on the end of capitalism.
3408  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Now I see how ANY Government can EASILY KILL BTC on: April 14, 2014, 05:12:40 PM
You need just to a bit of research before you assume the gov is going to kill BTC, they know they cant win, cause there other currenices they will have to affect, to costy and they dont have the budget for it.

I didn't say THE government..I said A government COULD
Why are you still posting? Every post you make only makes this community despise you more.

Noob? How old are you 12?  Do you live and operate in the real world or just online?  Are you stuck in the chair at the computer? do u know how life works?

Are you in the COOL clique for BTC? ooooo-- should I try to be your friend?

Get over yourself...seriously.

FOR AS LONG AS THERE IS BITCOIN - there will be new people coming in.

THIS FORUM IS FOR DISCUSSION -- stay OUT OF THE DISCUSSION if you already know everything and had every possible discussion.

I didn't ask if you had this discussion...why would I care if you discussed these things "a long time ago"?  I DIDN'T it is NEW FOR ME

so I WILL DISCUSS THEM!

And while your IQ may be so low, that you are easily mislead by hearsay, or your time on this earth so limited that you are easily taken advantage of..some of us have succeeded in life and are STILL GROWING
Ruh-roh, that is one pissed-off, Bitcoin-ignorant tween!

3410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 5 years from now on: April 14, 2014, 04:44:25 PM
Not to be pessimistic but aren't the majority of countries against it?
They're not, and the leaders of the nations who are against this new global money will find themselves looking for a new job before this decade is out.
3411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why governments will not ban bitcoin on: April 14, 2014, 04:14:26 AM
Governments are now obsolete, the world just hasn't figured it out yet.

3412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too much scamming in Bitcoin on: April 14, 2014, 04:05:00 AM
Welcome to capitalism - this whole shit is a scam, son.

Those with real power - real wealth, they pay very dangerous men to wield guns at you on their behalf. There is no capitalism without violence. There is no capitalism without deception and exploitation.

You should really watch "American Hustle".

3413  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: April 14, 2014, 04:03:36 AM
When we are bitcoin billionaires there won't be "non-profits". That spawn of fed-gov too shall pass.
That is correct. As we are now well into the era of zombie-capitalism, and will soon begin the transition to post-capitalism, we will begin to see charity melt away into the past, as solidarity and revolutionary politics rise to take its place.

3414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Energy and Enthusiasm is Dying. Bitcoiners are Growing Tired. ZZZZzzzzz.... on: April 09, 2014, 05:54:03 AM
Despite the many large investors still hedging on Bitcoin taking over the world, and the spin they push through various media outlets and sites like Coindesk, the truth is that the general Bitcoin community is growing tired.  Tired of falling prices.  Tired of scandals like Mt. Gox. Tired of rigs they invested in not paying off like they hoped. Tired of maintaining those rigs. Summer on its way. AC bills will rise. Price now trading flat, or in my opinion barely holding on to current levels. Scam after scam with companies that promise mining equipment but instead use your money to develop and build the technology only to use it for months and months, earning the BTC for themselves and skyrocketing the difficulty. Crap coin after crap coin which honestly just makes the whole industry look like a joke. Potcoin. Dogecoin. It makes the technology look like a circus for morons yet more coins come out every day and are backed by exchanges that represent the industry. Could you imagine if the NASDAQ was filled with goofy company names like that?

Only the newfails and trendsheep are crying about any of this hogwash. Us oldbie Original Bitstas are doing what we've always done.

And we're slowly and patiently getting rich.

3415  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: every exchange will be hacked? on: April 09, 2014, 05:49:15 AM
You could just use an exchange which never holds a single satoshi belonging to users.  Kinda hard to steal (or "steal") what isn't there.
You could also just pool all the money in the world into one public address that we all used together.

Teach a culture of humility and compassion to our children, end the dog-eat-dog wage-slave ratrace bullshit of capitalism. The end of empires. Of poverty and war. And borders.

Be honest with the next generation about how badly we've mismanaged this project called "Earth", and they just might be able to fix it.
3416  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin a buy at these levels? on: April 09, 2014, 04:51:19 AM
In terms of buying at current prices in the 450s with USD through Coinbase. Thoughts?
A few.

over a year
You have the skills to thrive in a free market.
Too bad most people (including me) don't spend that much effort thinking for themselves.
Of course most people don't exert that effort. Most people are incapable. This is about executive functioning and pattern recognition ability. It's a bell curve.

Fortunately for everyone, human beings learn from each other. Now with the internet, this is happening faster than ever before. It won't take the gen. pop long to come around.

Information wants to be free.
3418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Not an Awareness Problem But an Education Problem on: April 09, 2014, 03:23:30 AM
Speaking as someone in the game for 3 years, I think it's more of a patience problem.

3419  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Soon to be college grad in need of advice- what's the deal with Bitcoin? on: April 09, 2014, 03:11:23 AM
the velocity of money and contractions in real money supply would prohibit Bitcoin from ever seeing a market capitalization of $20 trillion
(unless the US has hyperinflation and a loaf of bread costs $5 million).
