I guess 2500 is too small a number to quickly get an idea of the orphan rate, but that looks like 4 orphans out of 36 stakes, or 11% so far. The variance is huge, with your daily orphan rate ranging from 0% to 50%... So when extrapolating the results how does he perform compared to just-dice wallet? Could he lower the chance of getting orphaned when he makes sure that he sends his block to just-dice first? Can the clam client be sat up that way? I would try to contact the biggest wallets first to lower the time i get >50%. Though in fact, at the moment, one would need to ONLY propagate to just-dice. Not healthy for sure. |

Dargo I need to ask a couple of questions. I know that if someone like me lives in Greece now and wants to withdraw an amount from you to their bank account here, it's virtually impossible since we're on Capital Controls. First of, is there a way to overcome this (and still being legal)? Second, in case I want to sell a big amount of BTC (ie: more than 10,000EUR equivalent) how this will be taxed (I mean will the income be taxed there or here in Greece)? Am I even obliged to income taxes since I mined for them?

You would need to check this in greece since there you would need to pay taxes. I cant tell how its dealt in greece but when you mined it then normally it will be hard to proove your expenses to put against the profit. And yes, every additional value you create should be taxable. Though its best to find out which lawyer or tax advisor knows about bitcoin in greece. Then ask him about it. And cant you exchange btc to fiat in greece? No localbitcoins or so or are the fees now exorbitant? Maybe only withdraw what you need. I guess you want it because of the capital controls? |

I will be simple scared to do something like this...reason is simple. you don't know, how many posts were deleted before deal, you don't know, how and where is account involved and there may be lot of misunderstandings in the future because of this. another point is, that maybe you will have different opinions than original acc holder so you will not be able to express yourself and your ideas. it is like buying other identity for this board..is better to build your own with own acc. Though when searching for the membername in bitcointalk it should become clear if something fishy happened with the account. I dont think its so very easy to scam with that when a buyer is investigating first. Mostly there are many interested persons and some of them will investigate and post their findings when they find bad things. This won't work without an escrow however. Most sellers would not expose the account that they are selling to a third party which they don't trust, this reduces the value of the account and potentially get negative trust. I agree. Some sellers show the accounts to interested persons but this is something only noobs are doing. The risk is high the account gets a negative for that. I often escrowed account trades and before i secure an account i ask the buyer which things i should check with the account. So the only one knowing the account at this point is the seller and me. |

The hospital and brother situations are likely just excuses in my opinion. Maybe it is true but they seem like the first port of call for scammers to buy some time to me. They also wouldn't explain why he was still taking money in and this has been going on for quite some time so that's why I don't buy it.
Guess since he likely turned away i could say what he told me. He told me his grandpa has cancer and knowing the US health system it was an explaination to me why he needs money and doesnt give it back. But it doesnt make much sense to add a T because the abbreviation reads a bit like the word itself. An abbreviation should shorten a word. So adding signs because it makes the abbreviation sound like the word is somewhat contradicting. Abbreviations mostly are only formed by the beginning letters of the part words in a word Bit-Coin-Talk. Only if the abbreviation is somewhat hard to say or when it should be brandable, then abbreviations for organisations and so on might have added letters that stand somewhere in the word in between. Improve your system for withdrawals, otherwise people switches to other exchange.
lately withdrawal from finex take more than one hour to be processed. I can't lose my gain (for your delays) at every withdrawal.
To bitfinex defence... the one hour is actually relatively good. There was a stresstest going on the last days and the effects still can be seen on the blockchain. Ten of thousands transactions still unconfirmed. But i see you mean a waiting time until processed. Thats not so cool for sure, maybe they changed to put different transactions into one in order to pay higher fees and get the transaction through to the miners with the stresstest? But honestly, i doubt they implemented something like that now. Yep. I mean time to process a withdrawal (sometime two hours). Not acceptable. I somehow have the impression they are short on personal lately. Everything takes more time than before. I wonder why. Though it wouldnt make so much sense because they hired two? months ago a big fish from OKCoin or so. I wonder if something is going on. |

Wie läuft das mit Gewährleistung. Immerhin kann sowas auch noch Monate oder gar Jahre später auftreten. Kann ich da gegenüber Amazon meine Ansprüche geltend machen? Und wie schaut es aus, wenns dann Streitereien mit Amazon gibt. Eigentlich hängt das dann am Käufer, der das letztendlich durchboxen muss.
Ich vermute mal, das du da maximal ein oder zwei Mails schickst, aber wohl keine rechtlichen Schritte einleitest wenn das nötig sein würde. Und ich kann es ja nur selbst machen, wenn mein Name da irgendwie mit auftaucht, also ich mich als Käufer ausweisen kann letztendlich.
Ansonsten klingt dein Angebot fast schon wieder zu gut um wahr zu sein. Aber nur fast...es sprechen doch viele Gründe dafür das es seriös und integer ist. Immerhin einige gute Referenzen. Ich bestelle immer mal wieder bei Amazon, wäre also durchaus dran interessiert. Why is 2FA implemented that way? I will never use this kind of 2FA. Why should i pay this high fee for every transaction? That makes no sense. And my coins would be held on a multisig address and a key is held by a website? Really? When they go down then i lose my coins. What setup is that? Oo They even might wait until they can extort all users. Pay me a ransom or i dont release your coins.
2FA could be implemented the normal way. And i would like when it disables the access to the whole wallet, not only needed for actions in it.
Though that electrum should be encrypted totally, no reason anyone can see all addresses and transactions, is something i asked for a week or so ago already.
I would like to enable 2FA but the current setup is unacceptable. I want to avoid risks, not implementing even higher ones.

Genau das frage ich mich auch... Bei purse.io läuft es so dass die Leute die solche Codes haben diese oftmals als Bezahlung erhalten haben. Manche auch als Geschenke von Verwandten, manche sind von Kindern die irgendwelche Formulare im Internet ausfüllen und dann Codes als Belohnung kriegen. In manchen Ländern sind Amazoncodes aber auch wie eine Währung für Dienste die man erfüllt. Die Leute haben dann Probleme gehabt das in richtiges Geld zu tauschen. IPhone kaufen, importieren und an jemanden verkaufen. Großer Verlust. Deswegen lieben viele purse.io, weil sie da mehr für ihre codes kriegen. Wo MrLehmann die her hat weiß ich nicht. Gecarded sind sie aber bestimmt nicht da er das schon länger macht und ich hätte sicherlich mal was gemerkt. Hand ins Feuer legen kann ich natürlich nicht. Ist nur meine Erfahrung mit ihm. |

I fixed this; I think it got into the 2.3 release, but it's certainly fixed in HEAD. Do you want to say i should use my head? When you edited the fee and edit the value then, then you dont await that you have to look at the fee again. When i misunderstood then thanks for fixing.  |

When randomizing it doesnt ask for the 2FA-Code. Did you do this intentionally as a simple block so that one has to disable and enable randomize 2FA when one wants to use it? I have a probably stupid question. When you want to go for a certain amount to win, lets say 1000 clams, is it then a difference when you do one big bet with a high percent chance instead many small bets with the minimum chance? Is there a difference in propability to win the 1k clam? Might be too late today for me only.  |

Wenn ihr einen Artikel zurücksenden wollt, könnt ihr ihn entweder zusammen mit dem Zettel der bei der Bestellung lag an Amazon senden oder ihr meldet euch bei mir und ich generiere einen Retourschein. Das Geld wird allerdings auf meinem Amazonkonto gut geschrieben, daher müsst ihr euch in jedem Fall melden damit ich euch die BTC erstatten kann oder neu bestelle.
Wobei man aufpassen muss. Amazon.de, .co.uk usw haben Mitarbeiter die zu 99% keine Ahnung haben was sie mit Wunschlistenartikeln anfangen sollen. Bei Amazon.com ist das viel besser. Im Chat und am Telefon bekommt man gesagt man wird mit einem Mitarbeiter der Wunschlistenabteilung verbunden. Die wissen dann Bescheid. In Deutschland muss man explizit verlangen einen Wunschlistenmitarbeiter zu bekommen. Aber selbst dann ist nicht gesagt dass die wissen wie so ein Umtausch von Statten geht. Normal ist es so dass eine Rückgabe von Wunschlistenartikeln möglich ist. Das Geld dafür bekommt dann nicht der Käufer aber man selbst auch nicht direkt. Man bekommt eine Gutschrift auf das eigene Amazonkonto. Dummerweise sind die Mitarbeiter nicht geschult. Meistens bekommt der Käufer das Geld zurück. Man muss daher auf folgendes achten. Wunschlistenmitarbeiter verlangen, dann einen Retourenschein für Wunschlistenartikel verlangen. Nur wenn man so einen hat kann es richtig funktionieren. Dann nach ein, zwei Wochen melden. Es kann immer noch passieren dass die untrainierten Mitarbeiter das Geld dem Käufer erstatten. Wenn das passiert ist es im Fall von MrLehmann nicht so schlimm. Er ist ehrlich und hat mir schon Geld wiedergegeben. Rein theoretisch kann Amazon ihn aber auch neu belasten und dann das Geld aufs Amazonkonto gutschreiben. Das machen die aber nicht gern und funktioniert auch nicht mehr wenn man sich zu spät meldet. Can someone tell me how to use the history of bitfinex to calculate the profit/loss of margin trading?
I tried the trades.csv and the history_USD.csv and now check out the orders csv but somehow it seem its all mixed up.
I know i lost a certain amount of money margin trading at the beginning of the year. Because of the fees, misunderstood settings and emotions.
Anyway... i want to get the csv in calc and summarize the loss. Which means the trading outcome and the fees.
Anyone did something like that and can tell me which data i should go for? Guess i should do it before bitfinex vanishes. Happened ot other exchanges and only some collected the data they need before.

I wanted to pay someone for an item and entered the fee 0.0002, went back to the value and changed the value a bit and sended... electrum thought it has to change my fee so that i have a transaction stuck now. Its only small but still annoying. I would like when electrum would stop this, it didnt do this in previous versions too.
So how long until i can resend my coins?
This highlights perhaps area where electrum servers could standardise on mempool handling so that electrum clients can determine better fee estimation and TX handling for 'stuck' TX. Electrum client-server model is uniquely positioned to have very slick fee handling with the ability to coordinate policies, that regular SPV and node infrastructure cannot (without sub-optimal 'trusted' node pairing, etc). E.g. I see some good proposals from jgarzik for dropping from the mempool TX that are older than 288 blocks (2 days), using a mempool janitor. And along same lines floating minrelaytxfee dust treatment based around a highwater/lowwater limits on mempool size. Maybe i didnt sleep enough but when i read your first paragraph the first time i did not understand anything. On second read you try to help electrum clients to guess better on the needed fees. It seems after around 12 hours i cant yet get the unconfirmed transaction forgotten so that i can resend with a higher fee. |
