3401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burstcoin a good coin? on: May 07, 2017, 09:46:09 AM
burstcoin mining is good, it's very special it's done with hdd mining and not gpu or asic or cpu, but the value tanked too much and it's betetr to buy than investing in mining, the hdd are too expensive and give you a very low return, as i see it now is a waste of time, but i don't remember any good features , maybe they added something lately?
3402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I suddenly decided to leave gambling alone. on: May 06, 2017, 04:27:56 PM
I think You are in the right track because gambling is involved economical risk.it can destroy your life.I don't like bet but sometimes I stake small amount.Just do not take seriously bet.

i also don't like to bet, i only bet the money i get for free or i win in some case here and there, at least i have no risk by doing so, because these money were gifted, and also i don't gamble a lot only when i feel lucky, you know some times you feel it
3403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible services have special contracts with miners? on: May 06, 2017, 04:25:21 PM
i think yes it's possible like it's possible with the accelerator, how can that service work by giving faster confirmation and you paying less? they get payed by miners for that it's so clear, i also see that some exchange use very low fee like bittrex with 20k satoshi, and get a fast confirmations on my wallet, i usually wonder how can they do this, when they use such a low fee, are exchange bitcoin miners themselves?
3404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think DOGECOIN is the future of Altcoins ? on: May 06, 2017, 04:21:11 PM
I don't own dogecoin I just want to hear opinions , we the rise of altcoins as we know not every Alt will succeeds definitely some will fail.
Don't you think Dogecoin will be the next big thing.

if they follow what litecoin did why not? they can activate segwit without knowing what it does and fool investors lol, but i don't think doge will ever be good again, it was a joke from the beginning and the inifnite supply isn't helping, doge becoming the next big thing is unlikely, but it's good for a pump and dump
3405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buying for a long term. on: May 06, 2017, 04:18:52 PM
I want to buy few Altcoins which have some strong good concept and which are beneficial for the crypto world somehow.
Of course my intention is to make good profit but I do not want to invest for that sole purpose.
I would be interested in something in which I get profit by holding and not by selling when it reach a particular price.
I am considering following Altcoins but do not know what benefits they give to their holders.
1.Golem
2.Wings
3.Ark

i don't like all this ico and smart contracts coins based on ETH they feel like easy scam, i would rather invest in new altcoin, that have nothing to do, there is this new bitcore clone of bitcoin which appear to be good, has everything that bitcoin don't have, or there is nexus which has anti quantum features, i like also stratis as a next big pos coin
3406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you see LTC go? on: May 06, 2017, 04:16:37 PM
litecoin can be stronger than dash or ethereum, because it's very akin to bitcoin, when some investors from bitcoin see the potential with segwit activated, and perhpas some merchants strat to use it, you can think of a good value like 0.05 or 0.1 like dash and ETH
3407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is this too good to be true? Litecoin mining on: May 06, 2017, 01:46:25 PM
it's true, baikal was more profitable back when dash was at 0.1 bitcoin in value, and this is now profitable like was for a-900 giant, i see nothing special, everything is very profitabble now gpu included, but, there is a but, the L3 is not available until summer, and by that time the diff will be so high that your profit will be half of what is now
3408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is there anything that is still 'undervalued' on: May 06, 2017, 10:08:35 AM
everything that is not on par with the big coins while maintaining the same emission rate is undervalued, look i give you an example so you understand better, you have decred that have 5 min block time and 15 decred per block, this si 288 x 15 = 4320, now take spreadcoin, 1 min block time but 4 coins per block, this is 1440 x 4 = 5760, very similar emission and supply cap is the same around 20M for both, yet one is at 0.01 btc the other at 20k satoshi, this is the definition of undervalued for me
3409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins with SegWit support [actually: GRS, SYS] on: May 06, 2017, 10:04:49 AM
i'm wondering if there is any point for these coins to have segwit, are they aware what segwit is about? i don't remember these coins have all the capacity problem that is affecting bitcoin, segwit will not do anything to help them grow for now, they luck the users base which is more important than their block limit, and they block limit is for now fine
You need to understand software to make this claim. All non segwit btc forks will die off after btc activates segwit.. its as simple as that. Merge mined segwit coins will have rhe best results because sidechains will require merge mined chains to do cross chain transfers via assets. Currently only one coin i know of in this category so far but I expect all of them will be later on.

why they should die? it's not like they are merged mining with bitcoin or whatever, they are hard fork for a reason, they can do whatever they want they don't rely on bitcoin, i think like many other think too, that segwit is just a trend to increase the attraction from investors and pump their value nothing more nothing less
3410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is DYING, LONG LIVE THE NEW KING LTC on: May 06, 2017, 10:01:11 AM
The slow transactions and high fees hurt BTC , the altcoins gained terrain and inertia  because of that

bitcoin don't have slow transaction, transactions are instant like all the other coins, onlyconfirmations require 10 min on average to confirm, but this was done because of orphan block, i would be curious to compare with other coins the amount of orphan block they have versus bitcoin, i bet it's much higher
3411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins worth mining & investing? on: May 06, 2017, 09:59:55 AM
look at whattomine for minable coins, currently feathercoin lbry zecash are doing very well on nvidia, and the recent price pump on ETH is good for amd mining, if you want more profit, look at bitcore or other new coins that are released, there is high return for now in crypto with mining, for investing i only do it with very cheap coins, i can buy more and risk less
3412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Woodcoin [LOG] Pure Skein POW, Logarithmic Release, No Premine nor ICO on: May 06, 2017, 09:48:08 AM
Ah so it's working?  That icon on the woodcoin client looks like the older version?
How about with woodcore-RC1 version ?

i didn't try but it ask me to change the rpcallowip for non local ip it same it can't allow * in the rpcallowip, what should i put there i'm not familiar with this? also
i think there is something wrong with this coin, because with 1/3 of the net i can't find much block many block are solved by no one it see, i think i identified the problem, the diff retarget it's weird, if the net hashrate stay the same i see that the diff increase anyway 4x, this should not happen can you look into it?
3413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: nodes for new and dead coins and blockchains on: May 05, 2017, 03:33:59 PM
If a coin's blockchain is dead, as in, there are 0 active nodes, you can't bring it back, because there's no way for you to download the blockchain.
Unless there's a file of the most recent blockchain.

how the dev can bring it back then? i see some old coins that were resurrected, i think it's possible, like the dev can do it you can also, you need to restart the blockchain with the source of the genesis block
3414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: |ANN| |SPEEDCASH| |X13| Fast, Private, Secure, Untraceable and Decentralized on: May 05, 2017, 03:28:31 PM
why yobit is still in maintenance, there is nothing wrong with the wallet, it's synching and working perfectly for me, are they closing the deposit on purpose just to run their stupid inside pump and dump scam and leaving miners out of the game? i feel like this is their intention lol, i hope this will be added to nova or cryptopia, because i can't sell my coins now it's like it's dead
3415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ripple overtake Etherium soon? on: May 05, 2017, 03:25:35 PM
I think it probably will pretty soon, all the banks love Ripple and abandoning Etherium!
http://www.coindesk.com/ripple-touts-blockchain-standards-push-10-new-banks-join-network/

ripple is not even a coin, you like that they can inflate their supply without asking and in no time? it's a centralized project more than etheruem and it's not different than all the project that many bank want to do with private blockchain, stay away form that focus on real project like ETH, ZCASH and other
3416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: nodes for new and dead coins and blockchains on: May 05, 2017, 03:23:50 PM
hey everyone, i have been learning and researching about making new alt coins and also about resurrecting old coins and one thing i have not yet been able to find info on is nodes, how does one make/run one? what if i want to bring a coin back that has no connections and so i cannot download the block chain or find a copy of the blockchain, do i just set up a node for it and get it that way or do i mine the coin to get the block chain how does this work?

if you try to run a full node/or mining on two machine and create a network with two nodes, it should bring back the coin to life, but i'm not 100% sure about this, you can also try to setgenerate and start the mining with cpu on two machine, another thing is if there is the source you just relaunch it from zero but this is like making an altcoin i think
3417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Sent ETH to Yobit ETC wallet by mistake on: May 05, 2017, 03:18:14 PM
don't use yobit for big coins lik ETH zcash or dash, i use yobit only for scam coin with low value, and always check whatever address you just sent your coins, always double check this, yobit ltely is becoming very scammy, and i don't trust it anymore, this story also show that their support is atrocious, cryptopia for instance, have a much better support, they respond very quickly and solve your problem fast
3418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Feathercoin [FTC] - time proven, fast, secure and unique POW coin on: May 05, 2017, 11:43:21 AM
any reason why ccminer can't connect to the client for solo mining? i get json invalid data, rpc call failed, but the confing is ok, i checked everything twice but don't work

My port of CCminer does solo.

https://github.com/ghostlander/ccminer-neoscrypt

this version is missing the last optimization in ccminer 2.0 done from alexis, can you add that? just look at the commits of epsylon, your is running at 1khs the ccminer 2.0 at 1100
3419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Breaking News!! ETH Breaks $100!! on: May 05, 2017, 10:42:12 AM
Seems it`s too late to buy ETH now, right.?  Embarrassed

never too late in crypto, the pump just started it can go much higher than this i would invest 10% of my saving in it, ethereum it's a good strong currency will last for a long time, don't be afraid, but don't panic at the first dump that is the wrong thing a newbie should do after investing
3420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 10000 PIVX STOLEN on: May 05, 2017, 10:40:56 AM
Hello, yesterday 10000 pivx were stolen from my encrypted wallet. My computer knowledge is good I have removed malware and viruses from hundreds of computers as I did it for a job for few years. Is it possible that I have been hacked is for someone to send me a key logger and then transfer my PIVX wallet.dat to their computer and then transfer funds out?
At the time of the transaction I was setting up the masternode and asked for help on slack. Maybe someone from pivx slack saw my post hacked me?
I have traced the transaction... it ended up here

http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/PIVX/address.php?address=DC2zB4fnzEaYyjc4SbzVgJSxAXUtK4Vk6Y

I will give a reward to anyone who can help with the discovery of my stolen coins

if you did not install anything lately, it's impossible for the hacker to hack your computer, he can't simply target your computer, i think you installed something malicious and now forgot about it, don't install anything from the web without running it in sandbox first or in virtual machine, or put all your treasure in another mahcine
