3401  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: May 07, 2022, 10:14:19 AM
The OP started the thread 28.02.2022. Today is 02.05.2022. Can someone say the results of "collective boycott"? Russia lost? Israel stopped bombing Syria and Palestine? Saudi Arabia removed their forces from Yemen? US removed their forces from Syria, France from Africa?
This is one of the most hypocritical thread here. What percent of posters can find Ukraine on the map? No one said nothing for last 20 years of wars, why are you crying now?
While it is true that sanctions have never really worked in the sense that by enabling those sanctions they changed the posture of a government regarding a series of policies they have taken, like starting a war or adopting a communist economic system, at the same time people are free to vote with their wallet, and if they want to boycott Russian products and services then they are free to do so as they do not want their money to indirectly support the Russian government.

i think we need to make an emphasis on the need for peace all over the world regardless of location or race, moreover how on earth do people assume the funds from casinos can be good enough to manage or sustain the progress of a war, as for me and what i know, i think there's a need to realize that we are all one body, there might be individuals differences but crisis is what the world has been embedded on right from time and what we should be praying for is an end to it, with or without casinos funding war will still exist and funding in one way or the other will still exist but oeace will overrule them all.
3402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Half way to next Halving reached on: May 06, 2022, 12:07:02 PM
(big effect on price always seems to happen a little while AFTER the halving).

Yes that's true and am also having a strong conviction that in little time from now, there would be and uproar bullish, as I've noticed the speculation on price, whenever there's a consistent bearish move then its a showcase to gathering momentum to run on a bull speed.

Quite a long period but at least it happens faster than any traditional stock. I can not imagine what the world will be like in the next 2,3 years. Everything just happens at extraordinary speed. First, we have bitcoin,

We all know that the blockchain technology has come to be a game changer while bitcoin has simplified the whole process, no need of wandering around about altcoins that most of which aren't realistic, and in the next couple of years from now, bitcoin would have transformed many lives and the adoption would have been a common thing everywhere and possibly the metaverse as well might have launched a beginning.

Honestly, I think we'll be sitting around this figure for the remaining of the year, probably with some minor fluctuations. Although, I do doubt the 250k figure, I'll be quite honest if you're right about that, I'm not going to be mad if you're right

I wouldn't doubt it as well but i think even though it does not hit the assumption target of $250k by 2025 then it must have break forth the limit to over $150k ATH by them which we all anticipate for.

Maybe the next halving divergence every 4 years is a good explanation for today's price action

This is another possibility of which i believe as the first 105,000 blocks mined will trigger a sudden move up in price since it has been running deep for some weeks, i think the second 105,000 blocks era will be a game changer anytime soon, I heard some are saying that the bearish moves is as a result of the adoption in Central African Republic in their favor for mass adoption before it goes up again, these are just various opinions from different angles but i know something good is fishing and will soon be unleashed.
3403  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: May 06, 2022, 10:57:52 AM
El Salvador, had become a hot topic of conversation throughout the world

Not only have they become the talk of the town, El-Savador is a champion in bitcoin and has made a live requoning experience that others will always follow, this are the calibre of countries we want, that are ready to take a bold step at all cost just to make a better living for the people at large, Bukele is a change agent and understand the future in bitcoin and the blockchain technology as a whole.

El Salvador is not talking much

For how long have you been following the news on El-Savador's bitcoin adoption that makes you concluded it has not been talking much, let me just remind you right from here to have a look at this thread once more and consider the number of pages it has developed through discussion and follow up from the first page to where we are now and tell me if you've not come across many updates and development about El-Savador.

Bitcoin.unstable, being used as a means of payment is a constrained risk.

Possibly you need to enlight us better on what the word unstable and risk mean in this context?  but i think i have a little idea to give, bitcoin is volatile and not unstable, bitcoin has lesser risk compared to fiat.

3404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: May 06, 2022, 10:37:11 AM
how do you tell people about Bitcoin and it's adoptions?

This is an interesting question that everyone who is into bitcoin should find an answer to, first bitcoin must be well understood by people including newbies in cryptocurrency that it is not a referral thing like the ponzi scheme or whatever they might call it, and before you can have the confidence to introduce bitcoin to someone, you must have developed a certain level of credible results, experience and exposure about bitcoin before reaching out on others.

Many people finds it difficult because they are not doing it right which also contribute to their failure results, how could you convince someone of what you have no idea about, a blind man cannot show other blinds the road to follow, now if this is met, getting others involve will be so easy because you have served a laid foundation convincing enough to believe, its always good to set a good example for others to follow because what people are after is an "evident result".
3405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: American University, Bentley now accepts crypto's for tuition payments. on: May 06, 2022, 10:21:36 AM
Bentley University, a private university focused on business and located in Waltham, Massachusetts, US, is now accepting cryptos for tuition payments. The university said it is committed “to leading the way in the early adoption of technologies changing the business world”.

This is another good news from US despite some recent challenges from the region against bitcoin adoption and the corresponding mining, if we are to take a look to the rate of how students were making use of the opportunity in bitcoin to earn a living and run their economic and financial obligations, we could see that bringing it to be initiated as payment in the institution would be a great advantages to the entire student bitcoiners and other institutions would soon follow the likes and the introduction of digital asset "bitcoin" will later be introduced in curriculums.

Most people buy cryptocurrencies as an investment, not to spend them as a substitute for the USD or their country's currency

I strongly believe what you said here but let us also consider that most students are not business men or investors, they only invest or trade it just to realize profit within the shortest period and pay bills as the need arises, this is an institution and not a corporate business organizations whereby all the members aims at buying bitcoin as an asset, i think in the case of students here, it is more predominant that students don't engage on asset as priority but just to make a little margin of profitability and sell off to meet their need as it arises unlike other corporate bodies whose main aim are to invest for a long time.
3406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a Partway to Becoming Self-Reliance. on: May 06, 2022, 10:00:18 AM
fiat currency also gives us freedom

If this had bee gotten I think there would be no need for a gold rush on bitcoin for security and decentralization because that's what the word freedom quonote here. we need to understand that government aren't giving us this and the only means we can achieve it is through anonymity and decentralization which is all about bitcoin.

but there are also countries that restrict the withdrawal of fiat money

Those are the likes of KYC related challenges whereby you will be limited to perfoming certain amount of transaction within a limited time frame, many people find this very challenging because the restriction is not in favour of many businesses and individuals find at an unsecured means to exposing their private and financial circumstance to a third party corporate body.
3407  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: May 05, 2022, 03:22:08 PM
Time will come if LN would really be that adopted or integrated if we could really see some demand to it but its true that altcoins had already patched up the main problems on which these main coins does have.
It will takes time or wont really come after all because we know that it has been a while into its existence but we arent really seeing any significant progress or updates whether it could really be
that applicable on different aspect or just still on test phase or developmental.
The LN could likely be adopted or integrated into many businesses, especially if the costs skyrocket. But we also won't know when the time will come and we'd better not think about it because we already have our own choices for now. I am not too enthusiastic about LN because, with the current network, I can still receive the fees I paid. So it won't be a problem for me at the moment.

I think the use of lightning network will also make a significant difference by helping many gamblers scale through bthe kyc request that they might encounter during the initiation of payment for withdrawal, i think this will have more of advantage to the casino operators and the gamblers as well as they both stand a chance to benefit from it all, LN should be able to byepass some minor restrictions that could be a concern when making transactions especially on user's winning.
3408  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance blocks crypto accounts of relatives tied to the Russian government on: May 05, 2022, 01:52:33 PM

I feel exchanges are going the extra mile to harm people with the lock of accounts,

This is true about CEX but i think every cryptopreneurs need to understand why they should be avoided, for me now, i know that using CEX will cost me than the benefits i stand to derive from using it, so I maintain my scope, what about others that don't know how to go about, neither does they know the difference between CEX and DEX, and i think as the adoption widens so are many user's getting exposed to knowing more about this, just a pity that some already fall a victim before realizing that.
3409  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine has launched a global initiative United24 to raise funds on: May 05, 2022, 01:35:37 PM
I hope they use the money from this donation to build their country,,, not to fund war with humanitarian donations.

What else could it have been used for if not on funding the winning of the ongoing war against Russia, amd you talked about building the country, what sort of means could they have left in building the country that findings a lasting solution win and end the war, or do you expect Ukraine to be maintaining infrastructural development when the citizens are dying daily, who will then be alive to use the developmental projects when they all have been executed, else they are building a defensive system waging war against Russia using a funds to generate man power, weapons, and relieve materials needed to overcome their current circumstance, i thought you would aks about other previous donations Ukraine had received prior this time.
3410  Other / Archival / Re: Why has bitcoin adoption failed in El Salvador? on: May 05, 2022, 01:20:58 PM
Who really says it "failed? I mean it’s still a legal tender and people could use it if they want to and that’s all that matters, isn't it?

It still remains the official legal tender in El-Savador and there have not neither has there ever been any official statement stating the reversal of bitcoin as their legal standard, then i asked myself why the worries up and down from other governments and those that couldn't deer take a common risk just like El-Savador.

I'd say that's a good introduction and imagine how all those people who cashed out right away are going to feel when in a year or so that same $30 is worth something like $300.

I still want to believe that few were yet to cashout due to one reasons or the other but just as you've said, how amazing would this have turn to when they got to discover what's in for them in the wallet, by then the whole world could have seen what they all termed "stupidity" act of Nayib Bukele turn to wealth and fame.

In my opinion, Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador has failed, because government was boosting adoption and infrastructure wasnt ready for Bitcoin.

What infrastructure? what else could El-Savador have developed more than all it has, btc ATMs, mining rigs, bitcoin city/beach, bitcoin tourist centre, chivo wallet for all citizens with free $30 worth bitcoin, good accessible network frame and regulations suitable enough unlike India demanding 30% on tax, many institutions, organizations and companies all accept cryptocurrency for transaction in the country, then what else could Bukele have done? The president just set a good example and never forced anyone to use it, should we still blame him for that.
3411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Half way to next Halving reached on: May 05, 2022, 12:47:24 PM
The data revealed that today 5th day of May, 2022 marks another ½ phase to Halving as it just reach the half way of the complete 210,000 blocks to be mined at every four years intervals, we have recorded 105,000 blocks mined already and this has launch us into the second stage for the other half remaining. it could be recalled that bitcoin Halving occurs every four years were by miners get half a reward of every mined blocks in bitcoin.

The data above make an illustration of how the Halving occur and how the data respectively is  applicable to each year occurrence, next Halving should be 2024 and by then the whole 210k block would have been completely mined.

It could be noted from bitcoiners across the world that taking good advantage of this present time to make an investment in bitcoin will be of great benefit.

3412  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you advertise your casino? on: May 04, 2022, 05:59:12 PM
I am not a casino owner but here are some things I noticed gambling sites do to advertise here in the forum and get more exposure. they create signature campaigns, rent ad banners, be active in the forum, post what events they have, sometimes forum exclusive events, giveaways, etc...

this is true and many of the managers and campaigns take the advantage to make pretty cool awareness of their services and casinos, but we have a scenario of newly launched casinos with using signature campaign here on the forum and have built in to an extent a reputable trust whereby members of the community exercise no doubt about their consistency because they have really shown their true integrity and this start with trust, reliability, accuracy, professionalism, and reputation developed while on the forum.
3413  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: May 04, 2022, 05:50:17 PM
The promos they make can hit the target because gamblers are always looking for casinos that can provide comfort when playing gambling.
They don't always hit the target though. If that were truly the case, every crypto gambling site would be in the profit zone which makes zero sense.

The sites that come up with unique ideas to keep their gamblers hooked on a regular basis are the ones that stay in the profit zone while the ones that rinse and repeat the same stuff end up in losses due to their customers losing interest.

I think both of you can be quite right to an extent, as i consider some of hidden agenda of most of the casinos is to gain traffic on their sites which can pretty looks good for a return on profit realization as the click on each site has it own generating pay per click to the operators of casinos, they have built a system whereby it has cost them alot and they also get their return even though little on any click on their website, they make effective use of the bloggers and not until you play or make a loose before they tend to make profits from individual gamblers
3414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2022 Conference on: May 04, 2022, 03:51:42 PM
Even though Bitcoin 2022 Conference was a big event, it failed to bring any positive momentum in bitcoin prices.

You need to understand that these are two different events on different occasions, what have you thought about to have come to such a drastic myopic conclusion of this manner? this is just a conference, that brings people all over the world together to discuss about bitcoin as a whole, how comes it now turns to be the market demand and supply, or market capitalization or the driving force of volatility and investment? i even thought you might assume the role to have orchestrated the dip run in other to get more investors thereby increasing the rate of adoption from the impact of the conference.

As long as there is no institutional buying, i don't see anything achieved from this conference.

Did you attended? nor did you make a follow-up on the conference events, then i see no reason why you should see any vivid achievements about it since your participation is zero about the even, but i think those that have made history out of it will never forget the impact for life, because it's an eye opener to many hidden truth about Cryptocurrency.
3415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Momentum in Crypto World on: May 04, 2022, 03:32:37 PM
Now that Bentley University has accepted cryptocurrencies for tuition payment, as one of the first universities in the US to do so, what can we expect?

We keep anticipating for more adoption all over the world especially innareas that needed more awareness about bitcoin, this is a great opportunity for institutions to maximize the role amd use of bitcoin in their payments procedures, US will by all means got into bitcoin adoption beyond it had expected, that's why I see the regulation threat a child play and a foul play to alter it adoption in the entire region.
3416  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reducing Bitcoin Transactions in El Salvador on: May 04, 2022, 07:12:19 AM
What is the El Salvador government's strategy to increase the usage of bitcoin by the people?

The strategies were already in place which was the adoption at first as a legal tender, the launch of the proposed volcanic bond as well as the socio economic  tourist centre it has become for the entire world of bitcoin, in which this will serve as a home for bitcoin enthusiast and love to visit, and the citizens were quite alright using bitcoin in their economy runnings and businesses except for those with the challenges of accessible media for bitcoin transaction to be performed.

Will El Salvador people use bitcoin for their daily transactions or not?

They are quite alright using it, we don't have to feel geek by the news on the staged protest claiming anti bitcoin and the likes, if El-Savador has not been finding it suitable enough in using bitcoin then we might not have Central Africa Republic to follow the trail, while Panama as well is given a serious consideration on bitcoin adoption as well, payments in El-Savador were pretty made in bitcoin and over 90% of El-Savador's citizens have participated in bitcoin related transactions and are still making use of it.
3417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion Thread || Current discussion: World Cup Groups. on: May 03, 2022, 05:47:26 PM
It's such a wrong way to so solidarity on a lost course!

This expression is an act uncalled for by the fans, this is a wrong way of showing displeasure on something, although the NFF will take the responsibility for that because the supporters cannot be held responsible at a course, and i think the FIFA should as well work on the security matters of the National Stadiums across hosting country whenever international matchs like these were to be hosted especially in the developing countries.

This will also invoke more adherence to strictness on subsequent matches to be hosted in future and a high viewing ticket that could be the repercussions on the supporters and fans, this is not the first time a match is lost at home play, the entire football team and the governing authorities concern has to sit up to make implementation of policies that could serve the suitability of hosting a match in the country once more before it get banned by FIFA.
3418  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitLucy.com 🎰 100% Deposit Match ⚽🏏🥊🏀 7 EURO Free bet 777 users! 🔥 on: May 03, 2022, 05:16:05 PM
My experience at Bitlucy so far...
Deposited and won some money. They paid 100 usd as a withdrawal really quickly. Today I tried to withdraw 200 usd. The system seemed to have an error. I contacted bitlucy on live chat and they politely told me that the system is new and right now is not running smoothly. They advised me to contact the management through email with the cash out details which I did, but they have not responded in almost 10 hours. A little bit worried. I have some money on this site. I will let you know If and when I get the money...

I think you just have to exercise more patience because many factors might have attributed to this but am sure the whole complaints is well related to the appropriate bodies, i want to believe they will soon got that challenge fix and meanwhile every newly launched casino may likely develop little challenging experience but am sure they got big solution to allthis, and i really appreciate the fact that you had a nice experience with your first game and winning.
3419  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be patient, don't get discouraged. on: May 03, 2022, 04:22:59 PM
Often times here, some new forum users have been unable to develop consistency in their contributions here mainly as a result of frustration.

I may not really go inline with the word frustration because one of major aim of the forum here is not for it to inflict it's member with frustration but i think the word "challenges" could be more suitable, and why many finds the forum challenging is because they never get acquainted to how its expected of them to go about on the forum, quite alright the forum's rules and regulations are there for guide but i think more assistance could be required in putting the newbies and they also have to develop a confidence towards what they can deliver to the community.

I also understand that it's not every newbie that join the forum come to make a stay but rather get a solution to their problems or challenges and go, while those with the intent to stay might have already got one or two things that keep them busy off the forum thereby only visiting the forum on occasional basis, then the last aspect of newbies category are those that have fully come to stay, while those in this regard need to take time to learn and observe how things are being done on the forum because here stand to be a reputable platform that provides informations and solutions to the entire world of bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
3420  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin an angel in disguise also reasons to cry on: May 03, 2022, 03:33:09 PM
yet it has crashed alot of made men turning them from grace to grass,

I think I need to make an emphasis on this, bitcoin does not make any to cry. those that cried have the responsibility on themselves as a matter of fact they are the major cause to that, it's either due to their lack of knowledge, or carelessness in handling their sensitive credentials such as seed phrase, and the keys generated to accessing their wallet on the Blockchain. Some also fall in the hands of scammers while some experience a hacking attack.

Individual can have one or two reasons that might orchestrated their fall while dealing with bitcoin as a result of their lapses in securing their digital assets, should all this be directed on Satoshi or individuals should bear the responsibility? I can't start with the mentions how bitcoin has been a help in the world economy system and on humanity as a whole, those that also invest majorly on altcoins are more likely to get affected the most.
