It depends, how many did I have before losing 10,000? If you have 100,000 and lose 10,000, that insane but not as hardcore as losing 10,000 when 10,000 it's all you ever had. I think I would enter into a depressive-suicidal spiral.

If they did any research they would come up with the idea that it's better to use the Bitcoin blockchain and not use their own chains which will be way less secure. Also with sidechains they will be able to run anything they want under the Bitcoin superior security chain.

Nahh good and very solid floor on 333USD; I don't see all this fear about going up and down. Some people say we are going up imminently, and some say we will get a correction again. I say we are solid, and holding on that price range, so just keep on buying, or cry later (and by later I mean 10+ years).

You didn't expect the 500 dollar rise and no one did. Bottomline is, just keep buying, Bitcoin is cheap as long as its less than 10K dollars, so who cares about buying at 350 or 300 Jesus Christ. Only day traders that gamble with this would care, long term investors just hold long term, everything else is a huge gamble.

Indeed, that makes it even more valuable, but it's nice to own 21, because 21 million is the total generated supply, nonetheless you are right, also, we will all be dead before 21 million coins are mined, so you have to subtract not only the keys that are forever lost but the non generated coins (mined) coins too.

I wrote 15 years beacuse i expect that in next 5-10 years will be invented something 100 times more powerfull than ASIC.

You don't understand how mining works:



There will be halvings until 2140... it's just that at around 2030 the coin reward will be so small that the total supply will be mostly mined, but not 100% mined until 2140. By 2030 anyone holding 21 BTC+ will be RICH.

With the friday bitcoin thing I might, if I see a really good deal, otherwise no, it's like spending money with gold, I don't really need to use BTC when I can use filthy cash. If I got paid in BTC tho, I would be more inclined to use it to buy things, because I dont have to convert.

This looks interesting. Is it about some guys going to some other guys dressed as banksters then asking for money for their projects? I guess it's not going to go very good. I can already sense those "judges" being stuck up idiots that don't understand Bitcoin and think it's just nerd money or something.

If you're looking a way to buy bitcoins without providing ID identification beforehand, then you're out of luck. Few places offer that feature, but virvox exchange is one of them. Maybe you could do the same with some local exchange that your country has. You can also use localbitcoins. Bring a gun just in case if you use the last option.

Virwox has a strange way around it because you are basically buying second life lindell dollars and then converting this into BTC.. this way you don't ave to present ID. You can do it with paypal. Of course, get ready to get scammed with super high fees. I don't know the exact %'s but the fees are really high.

Seem like Amazon is also starting to take 21 Computer order. I'm not ordering as it is somewhat too expensive for someone like me. I wish I could give it a try. Just a try. I know it is not a good investment.
It isn't an investment, it has no chance of ROI it is a hobby item or a dev kit.

Who knows, maybe in a lot of years it becomes some sort of bizarre collectible item and you can re-sell it on eBay for thousands of dollars. I just recently saw a Sound Blaster sound card which I used to have on my computer as a kid on ebay going for a lot of money because some people like the vintage stuff.

Im not sure about the idea of using USD instead of BTC... I understand the volatility thing but it's a BTC forum, it's kind of saying "ok, BTC is not a viable currency, so we'll use USD". It makes BTC be dependent on BTC. I think it's better use BTC and adjust to whatever price changes happen, hopefully higher rates than your competitors.

I have considered leaving at this point, beside the delay payment, I always have to wait for manual withdrawals.. but I still stay, i should be going Hero soon, the rate will increase a bit for me, not much, but better than alternatives I have, campaigns rates are getting increasingly lower. There is one with higher rates but their spots are always closed. I can't find a better deal than Coinut right now, specially when I go from 0.0007 to 0.0008. The rest of the rates are a waste of time. Bitmixer has 0.0007 for everyone, it used to be really cheap, now it's a strong competitor since everyone has lowered their rates except them, and their payments are always automatic. I think everyone is going to end up in Bitmixer eventually if competitors don't offer better rates..

2 days ago I withdrew the last payment I had (the one from 7th nov to 13th nov) and I still haven't seen anything on my address. Also, all of the payments and post count has been deleted, look at the 7th nov to 13th nov period, it says 0 on everything... what's going on?

And why can't you just pay already the last term at the old rate?

I think the number of people that have NEVER heard of Bitcoin is still way too high to apply your theory of the subconsciousness mind. I very much like the idea of this block on people's mind that will get part of the "last active chain" in the future once fiat starts crumbling but, like I said before, I think a lot of people out there haven't even heard it yet any shape or form. It is growing tho, the Economist did really help to bring it out there. But we are still the early adopters.

I told a relative, who'd possibly speculate if he found a bandwagon, that to buy bitcoin to speculate with is as parasitic and useful as the activity of a tapeworm, but that if anyone will pay him all or in part for his work in bitcoin, he should definitely get bitcoin because that is a sure sign of it turning mainstream.

So, I'll talk but I don't do the hard sell.  Bluffing up the price of bitcoin would be a waste of time.  Obtaining bitcoin for any purpose other than speculating is what I recommend to anyone.

Well, I think speculating with Bitcoin is as legit as working for it... it is a free market after all. Also, most day traders get burned.. find me a guy who is making solid bank off daytrading and specially something like Bitcoin which is crazy volatile.

The thing is, family and friends will not believe it's a real thing until I cash out some of it and bring dollar bills home, but I don't want to cash out because I like to be my own bank, and if I start cashing out the bank will ask where did this money come from, and they will know I am a Bitcoin user, not sure if its a good idea that your bank knows you know about Bitcoin and own some..

I am surprised that the Philippines subforum (well, sub-thread) is that huge. To be honest it's the first time I've ever looked at the "Other languages" section and i've been in here for years now. It was a pleasant surprise. With that amount of posts, I think they deserve a subforum.. if a country will benefit from Bitcoin, those are countries like Philippines.

The mods are pretty quick and deleting this garbage but sometimes they aren't around and I've seen like 5 threads at the same time or more by this guy.

I have more than 1 Bitcoin. With some dedication and hard work there are many opportunities to make some Bitcoins on this forum
The first time I made 1 entire BTC I felt great for a day. Then I realized is not enough, and realized this is a race that only has a limited time. I must make as much monthly as possible. It was clear that I need to get more BTC faster than what this forum could offer, so I started buying monthly with my wage, beside the extra from posting. This way I hope to be ready with at least 21 BTC to hold long term and retire in a decade.

From my past experience , Many people joined this forum at early time , and they experienced the growth of BTC , i joined here somewhat at 2k13 , I witnessed a massive dropout from here , as the coin value started to drop after 1170$ , the people started to piss off from Rally.
You may find many accounts of people registered at 2011 and still they are members or Full , and Last login is 2013 or early 2014.

But if they are here since 2011 they should have thousands of Bitcoin which means they would be pretty rich even after not selling at the peak last ATH... so why would they get mad an disappear? That's pretty dumb I think. If they keep holding they will just keep getting richer. Also they would be Legendary by now which in itself it's pretty valuable.
