No one wants to bite the bullet, but we will revisit Greece soon.

People do not necessarily have to change (I am still not using Linux, but my Internet content is served for 80% or more by Linux servers). The average person only needs a solution that works.
Execution, baby.

Still, it is not an invalid point. How will a large institution safeguard an enormous pile of Bitcoin value If all depends on a private key. Pointing this out as a negative will start the thinking about a positive: a solution.
It needs some more infrastructure, that's all.

For a lousy idea, it has come far (and is still going). Love to reread this thread over 10 years.

The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.

Always talking down people that try to create some value. Very mature.

56 mins too long, and blank pages with text only... This won't cut it for the masses.

... Ideas are dangerous things in the hands of children...
Not as dangerous as scissors ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) One resists the invasion of armies; one does not resist the invasion of ideas.
Don't fight the future.

... but that statement has NOTHING to do with actual tech innovation ...
A lot of progress in the past was done by people ignoring naysayers or even defying corporal punishment. I keep that in mind when reading all those troll posts.

Yeah, but some dreams can be reasonable, some of them are plain delusions.
Yes. I like to see which ones succeed and which ones don't.

So everyone reading this forum should just believe that a non scalable, irreversible (0 consumer protection), very-easy-to steal, ridiculously volatile, bullshit distributed, china megamines powered pyramid scheme currency is gonna suddenly replace every fiat currency, central bank, need for monetary policy etc?
You bitcoiners don't know how the world works have some wild imagination, I gotta give you that.
Oh well.... “ Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.” ― Apple Inc Stop dreaming and thus stop living.

If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor...
... Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

i look forward to a wonderful enlightened world where the quality of life for all people is elevated and where all businesses are required by law to operate for the benefit of *people* and not for the sake of extracting profit from the society they prey upon ...
Undilutable money would be a good start. Upholding existing fair laws as well. No need to rob and shoot the productive part of society.

[..] the rich in general have acquired their riches on the backs of the workers / at the point of a sword / actual slaves - yes they do deserve to be punished
Ok, please shoot all successful farmers and business owners right away. I look forward to a dark, cold world deprived of anything that makes life fun. All because of people that think like 12345mm.

Fuck you sicko.
What is your point: - that rich people must suffer
- that being lucky or successful must be punished
