3401  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: July 03, 2016, 02:02:57 PM
I would have to pick bitcoin wallet. With my bitcoin wallet I'm depending on myself and myself only to keep it safe.
With a bank, I would need to be depending on the bank. With bitcoin wallet I can access my bitcoins whenever I want.
I think when it comes to the secure nature, you should not just think of it ease of storing with increased safety than the bank accounts. You also need to think of the long lasting. Bitcoin is just a baby when you think of bank existence. Also none is sure of bitcoin future.

Although I agree with you that bitcoin is still in its infancy stage and is a very young currency it has much more potential than keeping your money in the bank. You can keep bitcoin in your PC, or in your hardware wallet for increased safety and exchange some of them to cash whenever you feel like it. And get that money to your Credit or Debit card and withdraw that into cash. Thats the only thing the bank is needed for me. Bitcoin is much better than a bank.
3402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please teach me how to grow my bitcoin on: July 03, 2016, 01:59:37 PM
Best way and not risky is to work for bitcoin with your skills. If you have typing skills you can try solving captchas or you can check if there is work for data entry in xfreelancer and get paid in bitcoin for offering your skills.

If you wanna risk it there are a lot of risky ways like forex , playing with altcoins(playing means to buy an altcoin you think will grow while no one else thinks the same), trading with altcoins.

Ponzi, HYIP and gambling in the long run you will lose money with all of them.
3403  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean disapeared and scammed 700,000 users ? ! on: July 02, 2016, 07:54:51 PM
A brand new user promoting a page with just 2 likes so far and claiming that Hashocean has a refund address (yeah sure this guy is sending money to his self and claiming that is a refund from hashocean). A nice try to scam people but there are a lot of persons here who have already warned against such schemes and will continue to do so, there's nothing as a refund, all are scam attempts from a lot of different scammers using almost identical email address as that of hashocean. In the end they got the 5750 bitcoins and I am sure they are making some nice vacations with members money. Hope that lesson is learned for all of them who lost money here to not invest in such sites.
3404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what will happen if miners stop mining bitcoin? on: July 02, 2016, 06:26:33 AM
What will happen if miners stop mining bitcoin? Will result in broken blockchain or any other problems to the network? I would like to buy some bitcoin for long-term investment and not plan to sell for years

Go ahead and buy for the longer term, keep them safe in a hardware wallet for years before selling them. Nothing will happen to the bitcoin network as miners will not stop mining as long as there is some incentive to them or being the fees when sending a bitcoin transaction. There will always be transaction fees as long as people will keep using bitcoins and by the calculation the last coin will be mined to make 21 mln coins available in the year 2140, which pretty sure we would all be dead by then so do not worry as nothing will happen, except that the price may skyrocket after those years and you be a rich man back then when you will sell your coins.
3405  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A Group of Hacker trying to trace HashOcean on: July 02, 2016, 06:19:55 AM
Quote from: CoinTelegraph
"They wanted to stop [us] finding them out,” the group told CoinTelegraph, claiming that the mining company offered them 100 BTC “to stop trying to get to HashOcean.”
The email was sent by a “HashOcean representative” via the deep web using a self destruct module that deletes after three seconds."

This is really interesting, if scammers from Hashocean offered bribe to stop Kypertech Hackers from uncovering their whereabouts then they must be really worried.
I don't believe that people who invested in Hashocean will ever see any refunds but this is unexpected twist. I wonder if they really can track them down somehow.

At first I was interested to see how it will go and if these Kypertech guys are for real, for one moment I believed so. But then I came back to reality , there is not much any hacker can do from a backdoor of a domain name. Also it is very suspicious how they found out the location of the data centers, did they maybe fly to all of these places indicated on the google map and searched around ? I don't think so. What adds more doubt to the story is that the owner of Hashocean after scamming in a perfect way is such a naive person that have send this group an email asking them to stop tracing him. Bitcoin is pseudo anonymous but if you know what you are doing you can make it anonymous, truly anonymous. Taken bitcoins are on a wallet which must be a really well secured one, as someone else have said in other threads should be a hardware wallet. They can use mixer services in order to mix the bitcoins and separate them into different wallets. This group is only offering vain talk and false hope. Nothing can be done unfortunately to get your money back.
People only need to learn from this website and raise self awareness to not invest in such sites.
3406  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Will genesis mining be profitable after halving? on: July 02, 2016, 06:12:56 AM
Friends,

If we think very positively about bitcoin mining and conditions already happened, mining is completely different thing but price of bitcoins in current exchange market is highly important.

As we already seen two halvings as of 2008 to 2012 with 50 BTC reward for block then 2012 to 2016 with 25 BTC reward for block and after then 2016 to 2020 price for each mined block will be 12.5BTC but think if price of Bitcoins rise up there will net profit can be count in local currency with ROI.

And as predictions price of bitcoin will bump upto $10000 till 2020.

Think for mining at that level.

A very optimistic prediction indeed for the mining at bitcoin price of 10.000 USD per coin till 2020. That would be extremely wonderful to achieve the price of 10.000 USD per bitcoin as people holding more than 5 bitcoin will be with a nice decent amount of money for any country like 50.000 USD. But this is unlikely to happen until 2020 I am afraid but no one stops us from hoping this prediction to come true. Mining would be great back then.

Now back on topic, I have warned several times against Genesis-Mining. No one has made ROI with them and they don't mention to you any ROI in the contract they are selling. They turned off X11 scrypt mining when it was heavily profitable a few months ago. They will shut down your miner if difficulty increase. If you had bought a lifetime contract, you have lost money, if not then you would have not made ROI still. Do I need to add more that Genesis-Mining was not profitable before halving and it will be not after the halving.
3407  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BITSRAPID HAS BEEN DOWN ALL OF THEM TURN SCAM NOW... on: July 02, 2016, 06:06:47 AM
There is nice to see people are doing something least to find this ponzy cloud mining also a group of ethical hacker working onto find them hope they will so we can get back our money invested

They maybe doing something to find the ponzi scammers but what it really needed to be done is for people to become self aware of these kind of websites and never invest a single penny in them. Honestly I don't feel that sorry for people who lost money to Hashocean (considering a new warning was being issued everyday in this very section of this forum, yet people continue to support the scammers by sending them money and now all of them saying that it will be nice to find the owner of Hashocean). I that have not invested a single penny there am not that interested to know what is happening, but of course it would feel good if someone gets him/her/them.
3408  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Powerhashing.com: MLM Bullshit Mining. on: July 02, 2016, 06:02:29 AM

Before we have a look at Powerhashing, a brief explanation of MLM.
MLM is a predatory system of commission payments which is attaching itself to the promotion of crypto schemes.

MLM = multi level marketing.
An American idea, recruit a 'downline' to market a product or service and get paid for it. Time and time again.
The product can suck, not exist or be barely profitable, it doesn't matter. MLM is about selling a dream to the suckers, using lots of motivational type language and as few details as possible about the actual product.
And getting paid thru the matrix. No, not Neo's, a multi level money making machine
like so

There are many different forms of this, add-ons with silly names and quite anal refinements, but they all have the same goal: money rises to the top of the matrix in a pyramid fashion.
Hence Pyramid Scheme.
They are sort of illegal in a lot of countries, but generally don't get too high on policing priorities as investigating is quite labor intensive and the schemes, especially Bitcoin ones, are global.
The rewards for the <1% Inner Circle can be huge, so they have access to lawyers and offshore structures to help prolong the life of these scams, and the arrival of Bitcoin has given them a whole new ball game to play.

But, apart from the admins, everybody else is a sucker

So, there's MLM 101 for you.
Put it together with the core business being "Bitcoin mining" offering impossible ROI and what have you got?

S-C-A-M

Powerhashing.com.

Let's have a look at their website. Registered with that slag Bob Parsons, so no whois details, but we know who they are. (later)

What we do
We have combined the strength of crowd funding and bitcoin mining to bring you a very unique opportunity in the Bitcoin industry. By using expertise of our team we are able to provide a profitable mining operation

This pisses me. Crowd funding has nothing to do with MLM. It's a buzzword they latch onto for credibility, nothing else. Legit crowdfunding ventures  (the few that come to anything) will pay benefits back to angels, but do not come with a matrix affiliate system attached.

"Passive income" is an MLM/scammer's favorite buzz phrase, usually accompanied by pics of swimming pools. Just think about it, it's what we all want right? Just sit on our asses and watch the money roll in, looking out over the HashOcean...

But mining, we want to know about the mining!
All we get are more generalities...

Thanks to some great partnerships we have established with hardware providers, as well as to our bulk purchases, we get the best price on our employed technology. This means we get the hardware cheaper than the normal market price. What also bears great importance, considering the maintenance costs, is the storage of the miners: we have several farms and each location was chosen to fulfill two important criteria: cheap electricity supply and little or no need for cooling.

Bulk purchases, special relationships, cheap hardware. Sounding goood....
Several farms, sound like they're in Iceland I guess. Sounding greeeat...

But that's it, no details, just a couple of crappy Fiverrrr vids and that's that page done.

Top result is moneymakersgroup, the scammers reference site for all things bent, impossible and just plain shit.
CCAN is listed under "Closed, Inactive & Offline HYIPs", some bullshit scam that closed down and the admin ran off after a few months.

What's that got to do with Bitcoin Mining in India?

Next installment soon: how much will we earn, how will we earn it, and who are these three sharp dudes?

Pretty impressive explanation you got there. What it disappoints me is that I thought the cloud mining scams were going to an end with all of the fallen ponzies recently big ones and smaller copy cats. It appears some people will never learn and will try to scam unsuspecting persons. But still you have done a pretty nice job explaining it to the detail why this website is like you say "Bullshit Mining".

If I were someone tempted to invest there and reading this topic of yours I would have got my clear idea that I should never invest into such sites. Keep up the good work against ponzi scammers.
3409  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitrapid hosting account suspended on: July 02, 2016, 05:57:12 AM
Its a good thing 2 other ponzies gone down so soon, apparently people have learned their lesson from Hashocean, they now are saving their coins in their wallet and not sending them to random people pretending to be cloud mining. Thats a good step towards people awareness to not lose their coins in such an amateur way. I think almost all ponzies have gone down so far which is a very good indicator that these sites will not pop up anymore like mushrooms after the rain.
3410  Other / Archival / Re: Do you use bitcoin as currency or investment? on: July 01, 2016, 06:39:52 AM
Perfect choice is to use it as both. You can use it as a currency to exchange it to cash when the price is high so you can earn some profit and you can use it as a store value (investment) when price is low and hoping to make profit when the price will become high again. At least this is what I do and I am very happy with it.
3411  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin trusted to put your real money on: July 01, 2016, 06:37:49 AM
With the brexit and all the currency devaluations all around the world, Bitcoin and gold are the best ways to put your money at. With gold you guarantee a certain stability and with bitcoin you guarantee potential growth of your wealth.
Bitcoin and gold are technically the same since bitcoin is the "e-gold" or something and it is the by far probably the best 'stocks' to put our money in. I love to put my money into bitcoin buying.

I don't think bitcoin and gold were similar. One could never experience such a big profit got from bitcoin compared to gold. Major factor which is advantageous with gold is its acceptance and stability which can't be seen much with bitcoin.

You are wrong one have already experienced more big profit with gold so far than with bitcoin, since I work in the economic field and I have access to sensitive data and news, I know that many people took profit when they first bought gold at about 1090 USD the gold almost lowest price and then they sold it for 1972 USD , pretty nice profit I would say. Of course this have happened in the stock market and not physically but my point is that even gold can give you huge profit. Personally though I am 100 times more pro bitcoin rather than gold.
3412  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transparency, the scammer killer on: July 01, 2016, 06:34:01 AM
I would always check if the site I will invest or the bitpal that I will join is legit paying but it consumes time and effort. I just wish that there will be transparency on bitcoin transactions. And that is you will know who you will send your coins and who sent it to you. Given this aspect the government should also has a great role to play to regulate and monitor the fraudulent and scammers in bitcoin industry.

Remember whenever the government has played a role in everything it has destroyed that thing in the majority of the cases. Thats why bitcoin is such a wonderful invention as the government cannot interfere easily or cannot interfere at all when the user know what he is doing and is using tools to make bitcoin from pseudo anonymous to truly anonymous. As per your request that you need more transparency, before you invest in anything you have to do your own research and usually this forum has a lot of info for you to review. We just have to be careful where we are sending our coins.

Data taken from the bitcoin talk account price as you can see you have a very poor post quality , otherwise I would have made possible this loan to you, but if you default the loan, than this account of yours its really worth nothing based on quality post and the price of 0.02394000 btc is not the right price for such an account with such quality posts. Also 0.007 Btc is not te right price for such an account also.

But I wish you luck with your loan and maybe someone else will fill it for you.

http://cointelegraph.com/news/hackers-track-hashocean-mining-company

These guys claiming they are tracking down the Hashocean company and they say they found 2 physical locations of their mining rig data centers. I thought they were just imaginary but this group is claiming they even received a 100 BTC bounty from Hashocean to stop tracking them.

What do you guys think ? A fiction movie too good to be true, or maybe there is some true things to this story. Asking here as it made me wonder.
3415  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: coince.com scam or true on: July 01, 2016, 06:11:09 AM
Coince a true scam website. I bet they will run away with people money in less than 20-30 days from now. If you are careful enough to details and check the down side of the website you will see its the same as many HYIP-s with a lot of secure things there. These websites have all one thing in common, they scam sooner rather than later, so the advise would be to not invest a single cent and to not feed scammers like this.
It is a wonder to me yet how people keep insisting on investing on these websites when they see what have already happened with the so called "cloud mining" ponzies.
3416  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis MINING (Problems with Payments) on: July 01, 2016, 06:06:47 AM
That would be the last thing I would be worried from Genesis-Mining. They usually pay on time and every time so this must be a temporary problem. What I would be worried is that I will never get any ROI with them, first they give you daily payments for 2-3 or 4-5 months and best and then because of mining difficulty increases they shut down your miner and say its not profitable anymore. If you have bought a lifetime contract then you have lost money with Genesis-Mining. Now that halving is near lets see what happens to them , difficulty will increase a lot so maybe a lot of miners will be shut down. I would stay away from cloud mining these days.
3417  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hackers Track HashOcean Mining Company on: July 01, 2016, 06:03:02 AM
The article is saying they were not a ponzi at all and they had all the data centers they told people they were using and these are real, one near St Francisko and one in Eastern Europe that FBI is ready to seize. That is really shocking to me. I just like many others here thought that these data centers were only imaginary but as per this news apparently they weren't. This explain their operation for so long. Let's see what happens next cause things are getting interested.
3418  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HashOcean.com Scam or legit plz on: July 01, 2016, 05:56:58 AM
There is no more logical sense in continuing to write in this thread. People have to know that this was one of the biggest scam of bitcoin history and  stop daydreaming about getting their refund or money back. Also don't believe those tons of emails which all want to steal more money from the members. This topic should be locked and only opened in the unlikely event something good happens (I bet my house it will not happen and first bet when I bet my house was that Hashocean will scam ,which already did).
3419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Euro 2016 on: June 30, 2016, 06:40:37 AM
It will be a beautiful game today from Portugal vs Poland as I am sure Poland will not play that defensively today giving the chance to Portugal to make great counter attacks and we all know they have the most killer counter attack with Nani and Cristiano Ronaldo. I think Portugal will advance to next round today but don't know if they can make it through regular time or not.
3420  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Perfect Money Bitcoin Account on: June 30, 2016, 06:38:06 AM
I just transferred few bitcoins to my Perfect Money Bitcoin account and I thought I could transfer the bitcoins within PM itself to my PM USD account. Is it possible?

I know about their internal USD->EUR exchange but couldn't find the BTC->EUR or BTC->USD option. Tried sending them a support ticket but got no reply since 2 days. Has anyone tried this method or we only need to use an external exchange to convert BTC to USD?

I checked and couldn't find this option either, there are a lot of good external exchangers, the one I use a lot is very trusted and very fast (maximum 8 hours for the exchange and minimum 12 minutes), I exchange Bitcoin to Skrill there, but there is an option to convert Bitcoin to Perfect Money USD account also so I suggest you give it a try. Its being run by trustworthy persons and running online from more than 1 year.
