3401  Economy / Services / Re: Job search on: December 28, 2020, 08:53:25 PM
You're looking for a job and it's like you're about to sell your services to anyone in the forum. With those few words that you've said, no one would likely to hire you. That's lack of description that you have with your experiences and not impressive.

It would be easier and brief if you can bring up your portfolio for them to see without having to start any conversation. Have an idea by reading some posts about portfolios in this section of Services.
3402  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE.ME ⭐NEW v5.0⭐ | Daily & Weekly Competitions | Exclusive Games & Lottery on: December 28, 2020, 07:52:40 PM
Finally!

Congratulations to the v5.0 BitDice!

I will look into the sport betting and see how the odds are compared to other sport bookies.
There will be another choice for sports bettor once it's ready and in operation. The dark themed with a twist of violet color. This rebranding and retouch of the logo also looks good.

Well done guys.
3403  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are there any relationship between Gold and Bitcoin ? on: December 27, 2020, 10:31:59 PM
No, they are not.

This is the same speculation as stocks and bitcoin. Whenever the two have good and bad effects, the other is sometimes going with the flow or doing the opposite. That's the correlation that many have been speaking but in all understanding, they are not connected.

We seem to compare them because these two are the hottest assets that we have in the world. But if ever bitcoin moves and the other plunges, there's no connection to it. That's the only typical market that we see.
3404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of 2018 BTC aftermath on: December 27, 2020, 09:30:23 PM
As we all enjoy the current btc uptrend, it is becoming a glorious moment watching btc moving up and up. it looks like a trade we all hope for. on daily base, BTC price keeps moving up without signs of dropping. personally, i think the funds are coming from XRP dumpers. also i am skeptical because markets always correct itself no matter what.
i think what happened in 2018 will still repeat it self. BTC might fall back to 20,000 but we never know when and how but for now, lets enjoy the sweet ride to 40,000
It is dropping as of this moment and that can be said as a medium drop after we surpass the other ATHs yesterday. $28k as the peak and while it's dropping at this time, it just entered back $25,900. It is no big deal if bitcoin goes back to $20,000. We're just hoping for that price weeks before Christmas  and it came into reality.

It's that good if bitcoin sticks to that price as the support. Remember that we've got one of the lowest for this year and bitcoin just jumped off to $20k++ prices. That's already an overwhelming skyrocket for bitcoin.
3405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This what the paypal CEO said years ago about Bitcoin on: December 27, 2020, 08:57:15 PM
Does that mean that you have earned enough and built a wealthy life through crypto having that said? it was said before that many don't like bitcoin and it is understandable because they don't understand it and it's against their business principle. But just like the early adopters said that it's just the start and everyone will adopt it afterwards.

We're done with those people CEO, experts, economists or any financial title that makes them above than others telling things negative about bitcoin. It doesn't matter anymore if they've said it in the past like Dimon or there will be more in the future. The most important matter that we have is that we're looking in to the bullish trend of bitcoin.
3406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: crypto currencies trading against each other on: December 26, 2020, 11:57:41 PM
Being you as a trader depends which trade is profitable to you. If you're too familiar with that pair and you see it to be effective to make money out of it, then that does make sense. Each trader has their own respective preference and trade because they can see which is going to be profitable as they conduct continuous trade.

In your case, that's the same, if you're doing some research and you see that it's an effective strategy to your trade to be with that pair then you have already answered your own question.
3407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The reason behind the XRP's 2nd wave of hard dump! on: December 26, 2020, 10:50:03 PM
They had it only for the US customers. I get the idea that exchanges will stop trading operation for their users that are residing in the US because the lawsuit is specific from that country. It is bitstamp and one of the largest exchange that we have. What if other big exchanges also announce the same thing.

Even if the announcement would only halt trading for XRP on US users, still that's a huge loss for the XRPs market. A market that will be halt because of the lawsuit and might be followed by several delisting for the safety of the exchanges that supports it.

This lawsuit is really big blow to XRP market. Won't be surprised if other exchanges will follow thru like Binance.US. I am wondering, is there a way for the XRP team to resolve this faster? I mean, can they make a deal with the SEC so as not to prolong this lawsuit?
I still have no answer for that. I don't also have an idea to think of if they can expedite the process. I'm only relying to the news that the medias are coming out and that's why it's hard to put up a take on this. But if there's a possible way, only the SEC can give answer on it.

They can release a statement that everything is going fine and in the right due process. But if there's no other statements being released about the expedite, the Ripple management can't do anything with that. I also don't have idea how processes works in the US. That is why, we can only speculate and have a thought if there's a possibility and wait until news comes out about that idea.

The site is down now. Will my balance be lost?
It is ok.

As you can see with the announcements, they are planning to launch the v5.0 later and that's why you can't access the site. There's also a note that you can read that it's part of the launch.

Quote from: bitdice.me
We are on a planned downtime preparing for the v5.0 release./

There is a few hours left until the launch will come, you need wait until it's released.

Do you have a hardware wallet? Use it. Both Ledger and Trezor(Model T) supports XRP.

I supported this one and this is the safest way to save your coins and tokens not just XRP, and stop panicking because you have to analyze the situation and you have to know if XRP can still survive this trend. I know this is a shocking news and case against XRP, and this may take a longer time before they recover, but I’m sure investors will not just easily left XRP behind.
If he is panicking, he has a valid reason for it.

He has already decided it and don't want to keep at pure loss by selling it. That's why he's asking for some wallets where he can keep it and wait until it finally recovers. He thinks that it will going to be fine and at least make his money get back to how much it was before.

He could break even if a turnover has happened and he can take his money back again. But you are right that it will require him time until it goes back and he can move it again to exchanges to sell it without having any issues caught.

It has finally come. After the wait, v5.0 is coming just two days from now.

And with the launching of the newer version, there's already a wager competition that will be retained. That's a good news for those who have been turning on to BitDice. I'd like to see it back so that I can watch again the wager competitions of those huge wagers.

Congratulations to the BitDice family! And whoever made this design for the promo, nice pick!

3413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 1inch exchange token claim on: December 25, 2020, 08:24:43 PM
Such an announcement will only work for people who have met the conditions before, why do not companies announce and give a period like two or three days, then the token price will rise, they can achieve more profits than before correction.

The risks of using such platforms are much less than their benefits, so be careful and choose to trust the most secure ones.
Exactly. They should give at least a period for users to be aware that they'll be doing this kind of airdrop. They will get a huge volume if they do it because the success of other exchange having an airdrop with such requirement and trading volume needed per user, traders would cope up with the requirements just for the airdrop that they will be giving. They seem to only look for the qualified people that are not expecting any airdrop from them but that wouldn't do much.

Anyway, good for those who have used and had faith on them but later on they'll definitely dump the token just like the usual cycle from airdrops. There's not that much to stay if there will be another exchange to do this. It's just all about the free money but if they want to succeed, they should create a userbase and announce it earlier to build a rapport from those interested traders.
3414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Open for bitcoin payment on: December 25, 2020, 07:22:41 PM
I work in a small business , so earlier this month I talk to my boss about the idea of introducing bitcoin as a means of payment in our work, I gave him so articles to read on about bitcoin and how it works , after much explanation he came to an agreement to introduce bitcoin into the business for  the Christmas period and if it works out he will accept it.
We open a wallet and we are open for business and now accepting Crypto payment.
Good news and congratulations to your business. I want to say congratulations as early as I've read this post.

Your boss seems to be open with the adoption of bitcoin payment to his business and are you guys going to receive your salary in bitcoin too? if not, that's fine as long as you're maintaining the bitcoin payment option to your store/business.

What third party service you use to make it automatically converted into USD? or you're just using a plain wallet and does the calculation manually when someone purchases? I wish the success for your boss' business and to your job to prolong the acceptance of bitcoin and make it part of the entire business.
3415  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Year 2021 XRP Price 1 Dollar on: December 24, 2020, 11:35:03 PM
I saw that the price of XRP has increased so much. Can XRP be 1 Dollar in 2021?  Huh
A post and speculation that was before the lawsuit comes out. Well, it's going to be harder this time to see XRP at $1. It will be a long time before we might see it but there's still a volatility that includes it and who knows if the other day that would come, there will be a finer and better news about it.

2021 is another long year to come and a lot of news will definitely come. Nobody can say if it will go back to $0.7 very fast and will break $1 after its support increases. But for now, you don't see some good news about it and speculations like high prices for XRP are not ideal to listen to but if you want some encouragement, your choice.
3416  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Best Crypto Trading Strategies on: December 24, 2020, 10:45:10 PM
I don't think holding is a good idea, well many user said it's a good for long term but I think you would be able to miss some opportunities to earn and probably you will miss you chance to cut your losses and invest to some other profitable coin.
I've been holding for years and it's such a wonderful strategy that others will definitely agree that it's a good strategy. That risk and opportunity doesn't belong if you've been doing DCA to bitcoin and you're cutting loss because you have invested into an altcoin.

It is the best strategy that don't need much effort to think of what you should do. You only have to think at what price you sell. This is the most ideal strategy for most bitcoin investors that's why HODLING is very much popular because it's very effective.

It's not good if you're into altcoins because they're much more volatile than bitcoin and you really will miss opportunity because you didn't do it on bitcoin.

While in scalping, been there done that, not an ideal trading strategy for me. It's resulted me into more losses that's why holding is better to me.
3417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So much fud and scams in crypto and BTC on: December 24, 2020, 09:43:16 PM
Delisting XRP on one exchange isn't a FUD. It's a real scenario that's being done by those exchanges who decided to delist it because of the issue that XRP is having now. And the other exchanges that haven't done so could also follow those that have already delisted it.

XRP price falls 24% in 24 hours as exchanges begin delisting

I don't understand what's the with Yale University you're talking about. But scammers have been there even before this bull run and XRP fiasco.
3418  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's too damn easy to become a developer nowadays on: December 24, 2020, 08:43:17 PM
If you can build a token based crypto project you can call yourself a developer, it's very easy to become one today without any expert in the field since we have smart contracts that can automatically build any, this is why too many fake and scam tokens
This is the reason why projects are keep coming and they only have to think of an idea which they are going to be supporting of. Like if they are a project that's going to have a "greener" solution for the environment or whatsoever. They're making it look like a good project which deals with real life purpose but to no avail once they've made it to the sale.

It's also a matter of marketing to them. These developers see the market of investing and crowd funding to be a such a huge market. If most of the investors become wiser, even if there will be a lot of new useless projects come, they'll eventually get rid of making a new one if no one invests.
3419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 24, 2020, 07:46:06 PM
Yeah, the Warriors were looking very weak in the first game against the Nets. I know it's only one game, but I guess that this season will be difficult for Curry if his teammates don't start helping him on the court.
It's difficult, no Klay for the whole season because of injury.
Definitely it's difficult but the season is long, they will adjust in the long run, what I just hope is Curry to be fully healthy in the regular season and hopefully in the postseason if they are lucky to enter in the playoffs. Wiggins and Oubre Jr. just have to improve in their next game, both of them are shooting pretty awful in that game.
That's the thing if those two would improve in just a short period of time.

They can help Stephen all of this time and we can see if there's any change after several games. If there's an improvement, for sure, there will be fans that would be turning back to them and seeking that they'll be able to do it at the playoffs. Only if they can make the games win through hoping with Stephen's incredible shots.

Those two don't have to be good at shooting, they can look for better positions while helping in other ways.

3420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 23, 2020, 08:35:38 PM
It's part of their career as a professional inside the court.

There would always be misunderstanding and quarrels like this. But the past is past and we've heard it from KD that they've been ok and there's no bad emotions left for both of them.

As long as they're in good terms, that's the most important part that they had. We get to see KD play again later. Which team you're eyeing for this match?

I'm a fan of the Splash Bros TBH and Kevin Durant as well when he was playing for the Warriors  Smiley. Today's odds for the games between them is interesting as Klay Thompson won't play thus making the odds to bet for the Warriors @3.60 which for me is very attaractive and tempting considering that this is KD's first game and we don't know how we would jell with his team mates.

Bottom line, will bet for the underdog.
That's a win for the Brooklyn Nets. A huge score different for most of the quarters except the 4th quarter where Warriors only got to lead by 2 points. Still a nice try for those who have bet with Warriors, can go on with another match from different teams.

Nets managed to win with 26 points difference, but Lakers lost from Clippers and it was probably because of first quarter that Lakers played very bad and lost with 20 points. Now there are 13 new matches and I like Toronto Raptors win against New Orleans Pelicans, but we should better watch out for first few rounds for some surprise results.
Yes, that's a huge score upper hand for Nets. First two games of both teams and it's exciting to watch how they'll be cool with their opening matches.

Yeah, the Warriors were looking very weak in the first game against the Nets. I know it's only one game, but I guess that this season will be difficult for Curry if his teammates don't start helping him on the court.
It's difficult, no Klay for the whole season because of injury.
