3401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 05, 2021, 02:23:02 PM
When I was a part of the Bitsler campaign, I did deposit some of my earnings there and played and gambled with it. As soon as I realized that it's never going to be a "lucky" moment that many casinos advertise, like the x9990 wins or something like that, it's just not worth it for me. It's not fun when you know you are going to lose in the long run. So I decide to HODL it and convert a percentage of it for my trading account instead. It's better for the future, IMO. Sometimes you got to learn it the hard way, you know.

The giving back part of my journey is to support the charity here. Making sure that it goes to the right people that need it.
3402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino on: January 05, 2021, 01:08:09 PM
Ooooh. The MIT Blackjack Team. Are they the ones that inspired the creators of the movie "21"? I really liked that movie and enjoyed how they were trained. It's quite an intense movie as well. I'm not sure if those violent scenes happened also in real life, lol. Debonaire217 confirmed my query. Thanks for that. Cheesy

Anyway, I don't think what they did is directly cheating. It's a method and if you get good at it, then you would have an advantage over the house. It's a tactic and the house never likes that for sure.
3403  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin vs. Textbook TA on: January 05, 2021, 07:53:26 AM
There have many occasions when bitcoin didn't care about technical analysis by some so called "experts" or "chartist". I've read posts about overbought bla bla bla some days back but price blasted through $30K and went up to even $34K.
You should know that technical analysis is just a prediction and it's not going to be 100%. It will always go to be dictated by the market, not the trader. Probably, the traders that posted those are bearish bias and that's just their prediction. A trader would make a mistake if he didn't do proper management.

Some traders have taken their profits causing the price to drop so will btc follow what textbook says this time?
If we based it on the textbook, it would continue to drop into the proper short-sale point. Maybe it's time for the bears to take over?

Update 2: Issue somehow fixed. Ignore the invalid image
Code:
[table][tr][td][img]http://[/img][/td][td][img height=400]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Eq5-r6_XUAEDCm4?format=jpg&name=900x900[/img][/td][td][img height=400]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Eq5-r7OW8AAwJNl?format=jpg&name=medium[/img][/td][/tr][/table]

You have a code with img and nothing more. That "http://" wouldn't show anything.
3404  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Automated Trading Challenge - Start with $2000 - Currently at 14.26% Gain! on: January 05, 2021, 05:29:42 AM
If you have noticed, I have kept updating this thread without posting, and there's nothing significant to share before. With the recent volatile market of BTC, we have closed a couple of trades, and we have profited 12.624 USDT per day for 26 days. I'm thrilled with the result and the position that we have right now. As long as we keep our positions safe and away from the liquidation points, we can continue for a long time. This is still the main objective of this experiment to stay alive in any market condition.

3405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 05, 2021, 04:03:33 AM
1. Why did the company use this kind of advertising in the first way ?
They probably have data about gamblers being underaged and maybe attract them to give them their parent's money.

2. What should we do to ensure that kids under 18 doesn't start to gamble? We cannot ask them for identity cards and then expect them to show.
I doubt you would be able to control them, knowing how easy it is to gamble online. For land-based casinos, it wouldn't be a problem, but online, it wouldn't be so easy. I think the best way is for KYC. If you are under 18, no KYC, and you would be kicked out of the site. Probably something like that.

If the gambling companies decide to show such problematic advertising etc it would ruin the whole reputation of the industry as a whole.
I think the one who would ruin the reputation is the gambling site that advertised it, not as a whole. It's probably another entry point for competitors to advertise their own and let the customers know that they are following the rules.

Remember that every advertisement is meant to entice different audiences, so if the company chose that kind of advert, then that's their target audience. They would be at their own fault for that.
3406  Local / Pamilihan / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 [GUNBOT] The Automatic Crypto Trading Bot 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 05, 2021, 12:04:18 AM
Happy New Year everyone!

Malapit na matapos yung promo so kung interested kayo, ngayon na ang time!

Hoping to see you be part of the Gunbot Community! Cheers!
3407  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Type/Kind of Trading Style is the Best and why on: January 04, 2021, 11:49:43 PM
A reason why most traders are prepared for manual trading is due to a lack of trust in trading Bots because of scam issues.
I think that's an easy thing to answer because they should check what bots have the good reputation ones and see the actual thing working. What I like about Gunbot is that it's installed in your computer, not in a cloud. So you have full control over what you input in the software and you don't need an account for that. Just your license and your chosen exchange and you are good to go.

I respect your Gunbot cause I also saw your post regarding that and you have been proven that it really works for you but wondering if it will work then for others or even mine. I'm not a full-time trader and I did stop if the market is already at peak just to minimize the risk since I don't have much time to spend.
Not completely shilling Gunbot but I believe it would be worth it for you to try it. I would help you set it up but there's no guarantee that you would get the same results because it's not an easy tool to learn. You would really need to work hard. Yes sure you could plug and play and just trust the software but the key difference in learning how it works is the key to profitability. The market is not always the same that's why you need to adapt your strategies as well, whether you are using a bot or not in trading, that's the truth.

TBH, I'm not really trusting trading bots but if someone (a trusted person) can offer me, maybe it was time to open a window for it and embrace the new tool in trading where there is a hassle-free.  Cheesy
I could offer it to you but you need to put in the work as well. It's not magic and it's not hassle-free because you need to learn it as well. It would provide you a whole lot of advantages once you have seen its capability. If you are really interested, PM me.
3408  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Tesla Fight! on: January 04, 2021, 10:48:02 PM
What if they have the same investors? Lol. I think this is way better for a gambling discussion instead of just a standard thread. It’s going to be more entertaining when it comes to the point where one stock or one as it will dump. I think the disadvantage when it comes to dumping Is bitcoin because they’re a lot of holders of bitcoin and compared to the Tesla stock. They have the majority of stakeholders on it and probably not going to sell out anything soon, But with bitcoin, you will never know who or when they will sell out some of their stacks.
3409  Economy / Economics / Re: Market drop or crash dont mean economic crash on: January 04, 2021, 01:04:32 PM
It just means that a lot of people might have lost their money towards a scam or something. It cannot crash unless the owner themselves dump all their holdings, whether, in stocks or crypto, they could actually do that. If you talk about a market drop, it doesn't literally mean an economic crash. What happened with last year's pandemic is a crash, but it doesn't necessarily mean there's no money. People are just cashing out because of what is happening around the world.
3410  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Paypal Smishing Campaign on: January 04, 2021, 09:40:57 AM
I hope no one got victimized by that type of scam. I have received something to this type of thing as well. I'm not sure how they got my number but it texted me this content.

You have received 0.08155120 BTC, please login and confirm: http://HTTPS://BLOCKCHAlN.IO

Take note of the let "l" in the URL. It's definitely a scam. This is one of the reasons I don't want to just give out my number because of these spam messages.
3411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ETH break it's ATH? on: January 04, 2021, 09:09:55 AM
It seems like it has a high chance to decrease in price based on the 15-min timeframe.

The current resistances that I have are
  • $1267.207
  • $1144.923

Supports are
  • $918.403
  • $814.167

I think these are the key identifiers on which direction it might go the next time it reaches a certain point.
3412  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Type/Kind of Trading Style is the Best and why on: January 04, 2021, 07:40:07 AM
]I think most of the newbie traders are going to have the idea of being a day trader. Like you can become successful continuously and going to be profitable automatically per trade. That's what I thought going into it, but that's just a perception from a beginner. Now I'm mostly a scalper with my market maker bot. With the fundings and dollar cost average techniques.  Personally, what I dream of is the passive one. That's why I'm trying to show everyone that it could be possible with the use of Gunbot. I have a thread in the trading discussion, and currently, it's going great. It doesn't necessarily mean I would stop trading manually, but the performance of my trades having a bot could increase my profitability exponentially.
3413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hamster powered races on: January 04, 2021, 03:36:42 AM
I have read this a couple of months back, and it's interesting. The first time I saw marbles racing is in an outside place where soil and mud were formed into racetracks. The commentary is hilarious, but it's quite entertaining, to be honest. If I have some spare money that I could lose, I would probably try betting one or two times to see how fun it would be while watching it. It's a different kind of game that could make you cheer for marbles. Lol.

You can try to uninstall everything and download the latest version instead of updating it. Make sure to verify the signatures in your version that you are downloading. On their website, there is an instruction for verification as well.

3415  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange rates: kraken vs. binance vs. p2p on: January 04, 2021, 01:13:08 AM
Recently, with their promos, I tried to buy a couple of USDT, around $60, with their platform. I have checked multiple custodial wallets that could offer the same thing, but some offer BTC then I would convert it to USDT once I have deposited in the exchange. So one factor that I don't like is the fee that it facilitates while doing the conversion. It gets a chunk of it with that low amount, so not ideal. When I turned into P2P in Binance, it's significantly lower, and it's just an additional around $1 fee instead of an $8 fee IIRC comparing with the custodial wallet.

That's the reason why I would recommend P2P instead of other ways of converting.
3416  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH hits $1000 on: January 04, 2021, 12:51:45 AM
I have read somewhere that all the money is flowing into Bitcoin, which is one reason we have hit multiple highs in just a couple of weeks. I think ETH deserves it as well, knowing that it has many things under its belt. It has the most use case for different people utilizing it as an important part of their project. Imagine reaching as high as BTC one day.
3417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Binance.US is going to suspend XRP trading and deposit on: January 03, 2021, 11:55:50 AM
With all the news surrounding XRP, I really doubt that it can come back easily. It really sounds serious that the SEC is trying to stomp their feet down with XRP with their allegations. Something of the legal action would really alert people. I know the gist of it, but I remember reading an article that Ripple's executives raised funds with it, and it wasn't registered to the SEC, resulting in what we see now.

Maybe this could be an opportunity for other people to buy XRP at a meager price.
3418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin just smashed through $30k on: January 03, 2021, 10:33:50 AM
For everyone feeling FOMO, don't worry, I feel you. It's okay because now that Bitcoin has shown its potential to rise above everything else, then you are sure to get more once you have enough money. Imagine being able to get more of it from the dips. I'm not sure when it will happen, but it still shows no signs of slowing down. The more parabolic move it makes, the more it tends to fall as fast too. So be careful too.

I'm happy for those who didn't sell at the top for sure. Cheesy

3420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 02, 2021, 03:22:35 PM
I'm sad to see that you have failed to take your resolution. I hope that this new year can help you realize what you have lost and what you can do regarding your downsides during 2020, what you have described in your post. Remember that you had 2 months of bliss, or without gambling, maybe you could go longer this time around.

Anyway, my betting history in 2020 isn't really that great. I had tried to profit from an invested capital of $200, but I lost more than half of it and remained at $50. I didn't want to gamble something I couldn't afford, and this had made me realize that it's not making money off it but just entertainment, like what gambling should do.

What you stated is also applicable to different types of applications like trading. I think most of it applies to it as well because almost all problems stem from human emotions.
