It's good though that I was able to ride on 1/3 of your bet and it's the one that won,  Grin

A lot of games tomorrow, I still haven't decided what to put, but in any case, I will wait for someone to share their tips and probably pick just one of all the games.  Grin

I like the chances of the Clippers in a game between two LA teams.
Lucky you! Very nice.

Just 2 games, like stadus said.
And both games are not that far with handicaps given. So, expect a close game for those two.
I like the chances for the Clippers to win too. Reggie Jackson is the only one listed as "probable" while the Lakers have Lebron and AD in it.
Clippers -3.5

The Bucks' debut for the season. 76ers already lost one but they are the favorites. The reason behind this is Middleton and Connaughton are out.
76ers -2.5

Oh yeah, my mistake, I was looking at the whole schedule of the pre-season game and didn't check the date, and it was tomorrow Saturday that there are plenty of games.

But I will still stick with the Clippers, -3.5 for me as well.

I will skip the Bucks vs 76ers, but will watch if I have time.

@Kasabus - yeah mate, just got lucky, winning by just 0.5,  Grin
3402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 20, 2022, 04:35:08 PM

I guess their unification fight will still happen and it's inevitable because both of them are looking forward to make their own respective legacy, although I think there will be some stalling first  and knowing Casimero, he might bark to lift the hype until their fight is official. It might be delayed but it won't last long.

If Inoue will move up, there are champions that he has to beat, Casimero is not a champ so he also needs to win more fights like Inoue's gonna do. I hope to see them fight together because Casimero has been challenging Inoue when he was still a champion, but Inoue just ignore the challenge and fight an old Donaire, I don't know if he is just playing safe or what.

The same goes for Inoue if he decides to take his skills in the next weight class, he'll start just like what others do to test the waters because aside from that, he can't bring his belts in super bantamweight. His advantage is his status and not his record, that will keep him on hype to take the champions there after just 1 fight. Casimero's situation is different, he is literally starting from scratch in-order to fight the champions, but who knows? Inoue might pick Casimero on his debut and that'll be a nice gift for the fans of both camps.

Yes, but I reckon that Inoue can bring his power, but it's better to see it in the future when he decided to move up to super bantamweight. And it only makes sense for Inoue to go up, there's no more challenge for him in 118 lbs after he defeat Butler next.

And again, he talks about the champion in the super bantam and it seems he is looking forward to move up already. While the champion are welcoming him in and they are ready to face him. Stephen Fulton and Murodjon Akhmadaliev is ready for the Monster.
3403  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Market, Is it going to come soon or Will People have to Wait More.. on: October 20, 2022, 04:16:50 PM
A lot of uncertainty happening. We got QE almost in Britain and Japan. So this means the fed hikes are starting to crack. No idea what will happen after this rate hike. Look what is happening already in most bond markets.

Fed will need to change course if things are going to start to crack to the point of where we end up in a deep recession. Which obviously they don’t want but can’t avoid.

Yeah, and I think we are already in full blown recession, maybe it was not as felt as 2008, but definitely the feeling is already here as QE is everywhere, prices are going up, value of dollar is going down or weakening.

I don't think that Fed can do anything about it because it's inevitable. And so we may have to wait for a couple of years before we can see a global recovery.

And it makes me think that the recovery could happen right in the heart of bitcoin's bull run, 2024-2025 and so it might be a very good year for us.
3404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 20, 2022, 03:56:15 PM
It's easy for someone to say get everything out and don't come back. But base on my experience, gamblers who won big are going to play again and again and who knows, that $50,000 will be gone in just a couple of days.

But let's say I withdraw that money, what will I do? I guess I will have to pamper myself, yeah, a good car will do for me and the rest of the money going to invest into real state or maybe a business.

I am a bit rusty too.  Grin
Bad 2nd day for me as I only got 1 win out of 3 for my early bets.

The teams that I am expecting to win are all losing and that includes Denver Nuggets against the Utah Jazz.
Also, for the Brooklyn Nets which I thought was giving us a good surprise at how strong their chemistry will be but sadly Ben Simmons was fouled out early.
Zion is really back. Ingram is hot. That Pelicans team is crazy strong. I might bet for them at their next game.

^That's a nice win @morvillz7z

3406  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bear Market thread on: October 20, 2022, 09:36:37 AM

3407  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for October on: October 19, 2022, 11:47:17 PM
I expect the price to go further down this month. We have been going sideways at $19k for several weeks despite the economy getting worse. You can only hold $19k for so long when everything is so negative. There are no signs of improvement any time soon and many people are warning of a recession in the coming months.
Fair point, if there are more negative news in the coming months the support we have now will crack and even when Biden is assuring that nothing is going to happen, i do not believe him one bit as he cannot even remember what he did a few minutes back and with the way things are going, recession will hit bad and then Biden will find a way to blame others rather than owning up and it will have an impact on the entire economy.

So with the above mentioned situation we cannot look at the past charts and make a prediction on how the price will react this month.

Yeah, the recession is really hurting everyone at this point, not just crypto market. Even if Biden is not anti-bitcoin, still the market will not improved because of the worsening inflation around us.

So it will still be very long crypto bear market, this is just the start of the year and yeah, it could be worst next year when the price is being predicted to go down to $15k. Worth to mentioned as well that the war is still raging in Russia and it seems the Putin is hell bent of annexing Ukraine as he mobilized around 50,000-60,000 soldiers and declare martial law on cities that they have "won" on Ukraine grounds. So there is a lot that is really happening affecting every financial market.

Good, the thread is open now, and thanks @danherbias07 for giving us your tips.

I'm just a little bit rusty hehehe, nevertheless I will have to bet on some of your tips.

I will tail you Memphis -2.5 against Knicks. Gonna be close but I guess Memphis wanted to start at least winning so I have them with that handicap.
3409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is due for a big break on: October 19, 2022, 11:01:34 PM
It's just regretful that it cannot be noticed anymore.
Many investors are busy looking for something new that would enhance their profits in faster way than for a long and secure shot.
BNB, Staking coins, NFTs, etcetera.
They are even avoiding Bitcoin so it becomes more of a problem for Litecoin to be seen in the spotlight, unlike in the old days. That big break will be a long shot and near impossible.

True, it didn't get the recognition that it deserved, LTC has been a friend of gamblers as well, because it's very cheap and super fast transaction. I remember when BTC and ETC have problems with the deposit and fees are high. So I switch to LTC and it did great for me and so are for the other gamblers are well.

Unfortunately, the whole crypto space have been moving a lot lately, and now the hype is on NFT, Metaverse, the whole staking game and others. But if they can look at LTC right now and throw in some investment, for sure they won't regret it.
3410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: October 19, 2022, 10:39:55 PM
For those who are interested on the PPV numbers, as reported:

Quote
Nielsen Media Research revealed that their second 135-pound championship match drew an average audience of 935,000. Viewership peaked at 970,000 for a main event that ended approximately five minutes before Deontay Wilder’s first-round knockout of Robert Helenius began on FOX Sports Pay-Per-View.

However, it  is down as compared to their last fight:

Quote
The first bout between Haney (29-0, 15 KOs) and Kambosos (20-2, 10 KOs) drew an average audience of 1,322,000 and a peak audience of 1,351,000 four months ago.

https://www.boxingscene.com/haney-kambosos-rematch-watched-by-an-average-935000-viewers-on-espn--169844

But still though, I think the numbers are good and for sure the promoters are very happy to see this big numbers assuming that the fight happened in Australia and probably most buys are coming from the Aussies themselves.
3411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: October 19, 2022, 10:23:58 PM
It's an exhibition match and even if Pacquiao said that he'll give his best on this match, there's still the doubt playing on our minds if he will since this is just that type of match.
No boxer will claim to be more easy on their opponent, of course this is an exhibition match and for the purpose of making money as well.
We know Pacquiao is a legend and having this match against DK Yoo is quiet an obvious set-up. They both old, so maybe this is just for entertainment purpose and again for the money.

Yes, this is for pure entertainment, for the fans to wanted to see Manny again in the boxing ring. We all know that he is retired, but boxing fans still wants to see him. Who wouldn't? he bring us a lot of good fights during his prime good up straight up war inside the ring that's why he got so many fans and respect from the boxer themselves.

DK also have a match like this last year, probably he wants to experience more and Manny is ok with the deal.

This is Manny's first time in exhibition match, so yeah, he is ok with that. And as reported, the proceeds will go to the Philippines so it's all good. What's exciting is what Manny's or who is the next in line for him in the exhibition match. For sure many former boxers or Youtuber like Paul brothers will want to face him.
3412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Realizing the value of holding cash on: October 19, 2022, 10:08:02 PM
Definitely, we need cash right now more than ever, we can't really rely on full crypto or at least just bitcoin in our wallet.

And in the scenario that the OP has said, yes that's one case, when suddenly the price goes down hard, lets say $10k-$12k, so that is a good buying opportunity, but if you don't have the cash right now then, obviously you can't take that advantage.

As for when to sell, yes it should be in bull run, or if you are lucky, you can time the market and make huge profit when you sell it in an all time high like in November 2021.
3413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: October 19, 2022, 09:36:38 PM

Just as expected, Kambosos is not gonna make some difference in their rematch but he manage to improve, started strong and aggressive. Unfortunately, that didn't last and Haney overwhelmed him with clean shots where Kambosos expected it the least. Haney was just to quick to react and counter every movement of Kambosos.

Yup! George Kambosos Jr. really improve but Devin Haney also did, and that improvement really is shown in their fight right now Haney has a lot of clean punches than Kamboses, in my opinion, George Kambosos Jr. really upped his speed but his reaction time of Haney was just impressive even I can not see it either if there will be a 3rd fight which for me is Kambosos really need to stop and focus on guys that are not Haney, and get that money fights before her retired or get into lower or another division, where he can get a title match, for me Kambosos is really far away from Devin Haney,

George Kambosos only improved in the first round but once Devin Haney showed his excellent defense and sharp jabs, the Australian lost his confidence, became scared to throw volume punches and was clueless in the rest of the fight. His dad was frustrated but George cannot do anything, his heart was gone and the IQ and skills of Devin was on display.

At least the first 2 rounds for me, George was very sharp and has good moments against Haney. However, Devin Haney is known for his great IQ and so we see him and his corner making some adjustments because they see what George is trying to do. So Haney let good of his jab and again uses his advantage of having the longer reach and after that it was what we call a clinic, he put in display of jabs, specially his right hands, that is Haney's best weapon.

If I were George, I will take an easy fight and retire. He earned millions each of his last three fights versus Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney twice. His life is secured.

He is still very young, he can still fight in this division to the next and make more money. But we don't know if he can still be a champion because there are a lot of great champions in 135-140 lbs.
3414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Want KYC at Crypto Casinos During Registration? on: October 19, 2022, 09:25:07 PM
I voted for: "Leave the possibility of being asked for KYC when requesting withdrawals or after big wins."

I understand that crypto based casinos are also being mandated by regulators or at least they are following the rules that KYC should be enforce. However, I would like to see casino just asking for it when you reach some threshold on withdrawal. Same on the 2 bitcoin limit on some exchanges that still exist. If it less than let say 1 bitcoin, then there should be no KYC to ask for it's players. But if it reaches 2 bitcoin withdrawal then users should have to undergo KYC. But in return the casino should get them answers in a day or 2 or at least 3 days max to see if they pass it or not.
3415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 19, 2022, 09:10:42 PM
I'm already assuming that after this Ramirez fight he will push his chance facing Beterviev who knows he might also upset another champ and add more in his belt.

I think there will be no mandatory fight for Bivol if he wins this fight against Ramirez. The unification fight involving him will surely follow next.

Either it is Artur Beterviev as his next opponent if won against Anthony Yarde next year or someone else.

I hope Beterview is now fully healed for his match next year as that was the reason why this month's face-off with Yarde was postponed.

A unification fight will definitely happen if Bivol successfully defends his title again, I mean what else is next, right? This might be twice as hard from his fight against Canelo but if he can win this, his name will be hyped so much that people will call for an undisputed fight next. And just like what you've said, I hope so too that Artur Beterbiev will be healthy again because watching a fight where the other side have some problems is not that interesting to see.

If Canelo is not exercising his rematch clause or is not interested in another Mexican in Ramirez, I really hope the winner of this fight faces Beterbiev or Yarde for the undisputed belts. Bob Arum already mentioned that the fight needs to happen under his promotion with ESPN televising it. Top Rank may sound selfish but unless we hear about Eddie Hearn's counter offer then Bob has a point, especially since Beterbiev is considered the lineal champ in this division aside from his 3 belts compared to Bivol's 1 belt. It would be interesting to hear Matchroom's take on this one. Both Beterbiev and Bivol clearly wanted to fight each other already, hopefully, their promoters and networks agree to a deal.

Top Rank has the upper hand in this discussion, Arum has Beterviev and has the majority of the belt in the Light heavyweight and I think it will be an easy set up between Arum and Bivol's camp.

For Canelo, if he doesn't want to take another Mexican (assuming that Ramirez win), then he will not have a money fight. It will be his last fight under Eddie Hearn so for sure he might looking for something big and then make his decision whether to extend his contract again or choose other banner to promote him.
3416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 19, 2022, 12:10:49 PM
I’m glad Chuck is defending Westbrook, who is having a great game. The Lakers just don’t play well together. They look a little better with Nunn and Beverly but they’re missing something. It just seems like they don’t really want to win.
So you heard that too during the halftime, but it seems his co-workers are not in agreement with him. I don't know.
There may be truth with what Chuck said about Westbrook not enjoying the game anymore because of the Lakers team.
That's not how he played during his OKC, Rockets, and Wizards career. The energy is gone and he keeps on making mistakes with simple plays.
One of them showed and it was actually a silly technical foul when he tapped Wiggins while making an inbound. Reggie Miller and Harlan even laughed at what he did after watching the replay.

Yeah, maybe Westbrook is not taking the game seriously and is very lethargic or it's that he is really not on his prime. We've seen this performance as well last year and we thought that this is just pre season game and we should give them the benefit of the doubt. However, as it turns out, that first sign that something is not right with the Lakers trickle over the regular season game and them missing the playoff and having one of their worst season since Lebron join LA.
3417  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leaving your coins on exchanges on: October 19, 2022, 11:10:57 AM
~~

What effective way you use to protect your coin as a trader?

Most of us know that it is not safe to store assets on a centralized exchange but for a day trader I think there is hardly any other option. I think we should identify the risks that we will face when using centralized exchanges. Currently, I still hold some of my assets on binance, I find it very inconvenient when at the end of the day after work, I have to withdraw all my assets to a non-custodial wallet and then have to transfer to the exchange when do I start trading again. Doing so will make us unable to focus on trading and will miss a lot of profit opportunities.

Perhaps if you are a big trader, then it might be good to just take it out and put it into a wallet that you can control over. And then deposit it back again if you feel you are going to trade that day. It's better safe than sorry. And we have heard horrible stories years ago when the exchanges suddenly run off with traders money.

But for average trader like me, I just left like $100, I know it is still money, nevertheless I guess I can afford to lose that one. And maybe if we trade on exchange that is in the top list, although they can still be hack, at least it's safe as compare to lower tier exchange or fly by night, in my opinion.
3418  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: October 19, 2022, 10:53:25 AM

3419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 19, 2022, 10:29:09 AM
Only time can tell, as I have said, for this year the fight is not going to happen. And maybe the negotiations is already dead at this point.

But I think this fight can still be salvage and be made for next year, for sure the money is going to be to big that both camp can't refuse it, and maybe they are just looking for the perfect time to have this fight. We compare this to Floyd vs Manny, lots of stumbling block but in the end it got to be made.

This is dead for sure this year. Only roughly just a month remaining now for the supposed November 19 fight.

But I'm not giving up on this fight to happen next year.
Maybe it is a mistake that Crawford is a free agent. He thought that without Bob Arum and ESPN this fight is going to happen easily. He thought that without a promoter and a network to lean on he can be treated well and receives a fair deal. The way I imagined, Spence and his side are the ones dictating. Well, of course, because PBC will promote it and Showtime is the one that will televise it. And all of them worked with Spence.

Hehehe, we are thinking that Bob Arum and his network doesn't want to take on Spence. So what Crawford did is to severe his ties with both Arum and ESPN and then declare himself as free-agent to make the fight easy with Spence. However, not the case here, they put Crawford on a bad position and now Spence is in a lose-lose situation. Although they have options on who to fight next as they have the belts, but this is what the fans is demanding for at least next year.
3420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double Unification Fights: Shields vs Marshall / Mayer vs Baumgardner on: October 18, 2022, 11:30:31 PM
And this is what Baumgardner had to say,

Quote
“She doesn’t deserve a rematch. For me, I want Choi next,” Baumgardner clarified during the post-fight press conference. “This is what I planned on. This is what we talked about and this is what I plan to do.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/baumgardner-i-want-choi-next-what-i-planned-on-what-i-plan--169816

So there is a unification fight in the horizon here, but we will see if Choi is willing to be the next dance partner.
