Bearwhale! Nevar forget!

Was epic. Cool drawing btw, don't remember seeing that one.  Cheesy

If you look closely at the picture and the graph, you will notice the artist used the outlines of the price graph as the basis of his picture. Look at the waves and where the head of the Bearwhale is. The slaying of the Bearwhale marks the beginning of the end of the big bear market in Bitcoin.

Very cool! I didn't notice at first because I didn't observe closely. Thanks for pointing that out, I love that picture.
Back on topic there are many big bears not just one.......

This is hilarious. In what universe is Donald Trump being the President of the United States a reality?  Grin Are Wall Street going to want their bribes back from Hillary now?

You called it too, @Spendulus.  Well done!

So yes, it does actually look like we'll have US President Trump.

That's a very positive thing for the entire world.  Clearly, some may see it as disruptive, but change is disruptive.

Constantly choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil.

Welcome to democracy. It's rarely ever about choosing the best candidate but the one who you think will do the least amount of damage. At least World War 3 with Russia probably won't happen now. Not sure how his presidency will turn out but it's going to be entertaining to watch either way.

Good luck with that.

Democracy is a festival of mediocrity.

Thanks ttoroie that's really the only thing I need to do right now! Watch it while the chaos begins after Trump is going to be appointed as the new US president......

Constantly choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil. I don't feel as confident as you are about this being a positive thing for the entire world. Not at all.
I see them as the obvious different face on the same coin. They are no different IMHO
3426  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 09, 2016, 07:22:45 AM
This was the easiest prediction ever made: Trump wins, BTC goes up.

It will be interesting to follow the next days. This looks like a kind of Brexit in away. Markets are full of fear and uncertainty. We saw this already and we know more or less how BTC price moves. Act accordingly

3427  Economy / Speculation / Re: So USA seems to have picked Donald Trump. Help or hurt btc prices. on: November 09, 2016, 07:13:26 AM
Coins jumped 30 usd.

So,far so good.

Both Gold and BTC are going up even though, as we speak, they reached a top and now they are floating around it.
The dollar is plunging too while the markets will have to face a black wednesday probably.

3428  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India Bans Its Largest Fiat Currency Notes on: November 08, 2016, 07:02:18 PM
The EU has already banned the EUR 500 note. Now India is following the stance.

The above is not correct. It has not been already banned but

Quote
The European Central Bank announced on 4 May 2016 that it would phase out the 500 euro note by the end of 2018.“Authorities increasingly suspect that they (€500 notes) are being used for illegal purposes, an argument that we can no longer ignore,” according to a high-ranking bank official, Benoît Cœuré.
3429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best bitcoin wallet for online gambling? on: November 08, 2016, 07:19:49 AM
I don't even consider Coinbase or Circle as a wallet as they don't even give you access to your private keys. If you are going to use one then I suggest btc.com (It's HD and multi signature too) and If you are going to use one of phone then Mycelium should be your first choice.

To quote the above remember that when you DON'T control your private keys your bitcoins are someone else's. So do your own research and always remember to store your bitcoins safely by guarding your keys.

Oh, by the way, when you deposit your coins on exchanges, casinos etc. they are not yours anymore in the sense that if they get robbed, hacked... you lose everything.
3430  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-11-07] UK regulator FCA testing Bitcoin remittances on: November 08, 2016, 07:15:31 AM
London based blockchain remittance specialist Epiphyte will be working with the UK regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), to test cryptocurrency. Epiphyte will be working within the FCA's sandbox, exploring ways to provide cheaper and more efficient cross-border payment services using blockchain systems such as Bitcoin.

Under the sandbox testing, Epiphyte will be providing an alternative clearing and settlement mechanism to banking systems such as SWIFT, according to a statement.

3431  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-11-07] Chinese Investors Turn to Bitcoin Amid Yuan Depreciation on: November 08, 2016, 07:13:38 AM
The continuous devaluation of the Yuan has increased demand for bitcoin and new asset classes in China. Today, the country counts some 2 million bitcoin users; among them, 80 percent are speculating for short-term profit and about 14 percent are holding long-term, recognizing the value of the digital currency, according to Fang Yu, COO and Co-Founder of BitKan.

Speaking at the laBITconf conference in Buenos Aires earlier this week, Yu pointed out China's appetite for bitcoin and other digital currencies and noted the craze for blockchain technology within both the private and public sectors.

Argon2d CPU mining has begun on the test network.

dDNS has an issue to rectify and Stormnode payments need a change and test.

The development team are working around the clock and are ensuring the software works and that peoples investments are protected.

The same as Silk(SLK) and its launch, DarkSilk will have 10000 blocks at the beginning of the chain that give no block reward (0DSLK).

This gives Silk Network the time to setup dnsseeders, full nodes, add checkpoints, forward the code to bittrex and have a secured network.

At the point the above is done, the codebase will be released publicly.

Was it that difficult to share these news long ago? Smiley
Anyway, would you please consider writing and sharing a roadmap so we can have a rough idea of what is going on and when?
3433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Silk Network: Silk(SLK), DarkSilk(DSLK) and Weaver on: November 07, 2016, 06:50:28 PM
No i could care less about this project.   Failed ico.  Would like my bitcoins back if there will be any extended delay on release.   Are my funds not in escrow as promised? Or did i misread the escrowed ico thing?

Can I send dontigua the amount of btc he put into the ICO and then the silkteam can transfer his owed amount of DSLK to my account? That way we both win.

I don't think that should be any problem. To be honest i thought of it myself but i'll let you have the cake Grin.
Its up to dontigua to agree though...

This is a new thing now: community refunds!!!
I think I've seen it all now

3434  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2016-11-06] Bitcoin and Gann’s Square of Nine on: November 07, 2016, 06:42:58 PM
I knew a trader that was really into Gann.

The problem with Gann is, you have this scattershot of lines and squares and 'rays' all over the goddamned place - so eventually price will reverse from one of these lines and form a top or a bottom - but by pure chance.

To the Gann practitioner, however, this meant that the "1x4 Line Is Strong Support" or some such nonsense. To the rational price technician, it just meant that overlaying a bazillion lines means you get some kind of coincidental intersection.

I find his time-related work more interesting, but its of the simple variety using the square of number representing time interals and such, and the same thing applies - you throw out a million different combos, and one will "stick" eventually.

The Gann trader I know would wax poetic about all the seeming "confirmations" that price had on a chart overlaid with a thick haze of lines, and all I could think every time was "no shit, you have very little on that chart that ISN'T A FUCKING LINE."

I wish I could give you a happy ending to that story, but the Gann trader I knew doesn't really trade anymore. I guess you could say they never knew how to trade, and the market made sure to deprive them of any capital to continue their self-fed delusion.

LOL
 Grin

Reading the article and researching some more around  I kind of got to your very own conclusions. I personally don't know anybody who has ever used this method but I kind of understand why.  Cool
3435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 07, 2016, 07:26:34 AM
Milan is starting be very good they are now have 2 win in row this is good after that lost they sure started to play like team as they should
Roma is good as usual but again Napoli disappoint with draw, what to say but draw was good at the end for both teams and for the end we have Inter team with most luck i would say this season here scoring 3 goals in less then 10 last minutes of the game i will start to place bet bet inter to score in last 15 minutes  Cheesy

I thought the same after they won against Juventus but it was too early and I do think even right now we can't beleive what you say.
I mean they won against Palermo which is one of the worst team in Serie A.
Milan needs to prove more than that to get ahead of the competition.
3436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla's building a solar roof , It can be a good days for bitcoin miners? on: November 07, 2016, 07:23:43 AM
Well you do all have your point of view but i still can see this as much better way of mining,, in addition to this thread i saw something relevant another user found something good

Note: it is BITMAIN  and one of the largest data center and other thing they call eat as a high standard mining which is the primary source of energy is from the wind or the solar ,, think twice then  Wink

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1672708.msg0#new
if you can get a government grant to set up solar panels to be self sufficient with no costs to yourself, then yes go solar. but if you have to buy it and install it yourself.. forget it.

I sadly confirm the above.
Really, forget about setting up your own solar roof if you don't get any gov grant. It sounds crazy but it is very difficult to unplug from the national grid.
If something bad happens then there's no insurance or coverage or even help if we decided to be off the grid.
All these things led me to forget about unplug my house from the national grid. I simply had no choice
3437  Bitcoin / Press / 2016-11-06] Bitcoin and Gann’s Square of Nine on: November 07, 2016, 07:16:41 AM
I realize that this column is meant to be focused on price analysis of the major cryptocurrencies, rather than on trading in general.  But it is difficult to write a new article every day, particularly when not much has changed in the charts in the last 24 hours!

That is the case today.  Bitcoin has recovered a little bit of the ground it lost, but not enough to have made any change in the chart. Ethereum is likewise virtually unchanged as well.  So, I thought I would take a look at Gann’s Square of Nine and see if it can offer any insight into Support and Resistance on Bitcoin’s chart.

I've started staking the old silkcoin back in January and I've soon swapped for the new one when it was available. It's an everyday support for the silk network when you keep staking almost 24/7.
Clearly there has been some serious lack of communication. I'm on a wait and see mode from now on.
Important updates should not be kept private
3439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 06, 2016, 11:50:27 AM
Napoli made me lose again yesterday. Amazing goal by Hamsik who could have scored more though.
Anyway, I'll try my luck again with these 4 games

Chievo - Juventus under 2,5 goals
Sassuolo - Atalanta under 2,5 goals
Genoa - Udinese over 2,5 goals
Palermo - AC Milan AC Milan
3440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prediction ligue 1, france football league on: November 06, 2016, 11:45:20 AM
I've choosen the four games below for a balanced parlay after the last one I made for ligue 1 which was too pretentious.

Monaco - Nancy Monaco
Bordeaux - Lorient Bordeaux
Nantes - Toulouse over 1,5 goals
Lyon - Bastia Lyon

Another small win for me. My new strategy seems to start working. I hope some of you guys followed my picks! See you next week for ligue 1
