3421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most popular Altcoin? on: May 05, 2017, 10:39:10 AM
the marketcap speak for itself, the most popular is ethereum and zcash, monero is also very popular along wiht litecoin, other are just rumors, these 4 are the big altcoin, everyone is follow and for the future i can expect them to hold their value or increase much more, ethereum is increase again as we speak
3422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Woodcoin [LOG] Pure Skein POW, Logarithmic Release, No Premine nor ICO on: May 05, 2017, 06:53:18 AM
timed out means he is using the wrong rpc port i guess...

else -u and -p should also match the wallet rpc keys (but its another error in this case)

no look i made a complete image

oh i made it, it seems that the client for a strange reason don't like 4x00 port, but only 400x, you see there it think i have put 4000 port, instead was 4400
3423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft along with partners, amazon & others interested to build on blockchain on: May 04, 2017, 03:51:08 PM
i'm tired of them just choosing to build stuff in the blockchain, and ignore bitcoin adoption, i'm looking at you amazon, you should already accept bitcoin what they are waiitng for? bitcoin is skyrocketing and accepted everywhere the last one not accepting it is amazon, and with amazon btcoin could quickly reach the moon
3424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mineable VS Not Mineable on: May 04, 2017, 03:48:17 PM
How do you perceive Mineable vs Not mineable coins? Does a Mineable coin less likely to be a scam? How does it affects its value?
Does Not Mineable coins have better chances of getting to a higher value?
Do you even consider this as a criteria when analyzing an altcoin?
What are your views?

minable coins are bad always bad, pow ensure that your coins is backed y something other than the value from investors, and pow miners also like to buy and become investors themselves, the distribution is also better but not always, because greedy farm can mine more, in egenral i tend to avoid ico scam and other that are not minable, but free distribution pos coins are not bad
3425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Woodcoin [LOG] Pure Skein POW, Logarithmic Release, No Premine nor ICO on: May 04, 2017, 01:02:39 PM

i get this [...] firewall is allowing the client, can't be that, everything else is right

Thanks!
Hmm that's odd..  if you open the help-debugWindow-console on qt and type "getwork" does it give you a response?

It should give you something like

08:30:15

getwork

is that the oldest one that support solo mining? or i can choose a version which is more recent? i see that all the old version need compiling, do you have this version compiled please, i can't compile myself, thanks

If you are looking for a windows build there are two here:

https://github.com/woodcoin-core/woodcoin-windows/

woodcoin-qt is the version mentioned above, built from the pre-core satoshi codebase

woodcore-qt is the "core" version, built on the bitcoin-core codebase, and so doesn't support the "Getwork" rpc call, nor the setgenerate-true built in cpu miner.

You can also try :

https://github.com/woodcoin-core/woodcoin-windows/blob/master/RC1/woodcoin-qt.exe

which DOES have "getwork"  built on top of the "core" codebase, but this is currently untested.

Has anybody tried it?  Pokeytex?  I'm curious if it works.

yeah the first qt is the one i need to try solo, but windows ask me that the publisher is not veryfied like the other official version posted here, the version is also very old 4.8.6, when most solo client use 5.3, there is the 5.3 somewhere?
3429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC is DYING, LONG LIVE THE NEW KING LTC on: May 04, 2017, 10:24:57 AM
lol bitcoin is going to $2k and yet you say it's dying, either you are trolling or didn't look at the recent price increase, litecoin is also increased but don't be fooled litecoin is only in an up trend because of segwit, which is useless for litecin, you even said so in one of your post, if bitcoin go segwit, 10k will be around the corner, litecoin until will be accepted like a currency it's only good as a pump and dump
3430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do i make money from altcoin's bounty campaign? on: May 04, 2017, 10:20:31 AM
Just been curious on how mush bounty campaign participant make in a week. Do the owner really pay? How does it work because I want to participate on facebook and tweeters. Please your advise and guide is highly appreciated.

yeah they pay look at picoin, they paid their signature campaign but don't expect much, those altcoin signature pay very little, but if the coin go very high in value you can make something out of it, still a gamble, it's better to join bitcoin signature, which have a higher payout than altcoin signature
3431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins rising on: May 04, 2017, 10:18:54 AM
More and more people are moving their BTC into altcoins. As BTC rises, alts usually pause, but lately they've been rising together. This means new money is flooding in as well.

not true that when bitcoin increase altcoin go down, bitcoin is raising because altcoin is raising, people are buying altcoin using bitcoin, and making both increasing in value, because they need first to buy bitcoin to buy later altcoin
3432  Economy / Speculation / Re: FOMO IS REAL on: May 04, 2017, 10:17:06 AM
this thing is going to the moon shortly, i'm holding until 2k at least, probably selling there something and buy cheap with the dump, everything that increase so fast will be dumped this is the general rule, it's unbelievable that it's raising so fast why altcoin are still in bubble and raising too this is unprecedent, never a bubble like this happened before really good stuff ahead of us
3433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with Masternode? on: May 03, 2017, 04:39:22 PM
some other less known coins with masternodes are, bbcore with full pos distribution, too bad the value is shitty, and xrevolution, which has no pool but the dev is active, and still need to find an exchange for this one
3434  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price break 1459 USD, is it too late to invest in Bitcoin? on: May 03, 2017, 04:34:34 PM
never too late if you account the big potential that bitcoin hold for the future, when you think about $2000, $3000 or more you see this current value as nothing but as initial take off for the upcoming bubble, if you don't have the money buy a low amount of bitcoin and hold that amount, in the future you will regret not buying more
3435  Economy / Economics / Re: US Dollar Collapsing on: May 03, 2017, 02:58:45 PM
The US government should start buying Bitcoin while it is still relatively cheap and then hoard it for a few years. In the near future people will use the US Dollar to wipe their ass and use toilet paper as a currency at the rate at which the dollar is losing it's value.

The Chinese has become the economic capital of the world, while the US has become the military giant built on huge debt. Let's see if Trump can turn this around and rescue the US Dollar and the US economy. ^hmf^

this could be a nice strategy if they are planning later to distribute it to the people and control the market with that big amount, otherwise they are only increase the value for the dumpers, i don't agree about altcoin not being a good bet with what the thread started said, altcoin are a good safe heaven side to side with bitcoin, and are good to have for increase your bitcoin amount, some of them maybe will be a big competitor of bitcoin in the future, diversification is the key here
3436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as the currency of the future? on: May 03, 2017, 02:56:44 PM
I see that the more bitcoin the more users seen from the significantly increased bitcoin price increase, is this a sign that bitcoin will soon become the future virtual currency?

well not exactly that, but it mean that bitcoin is growing well and more people are using it, helping the coins to have correct distribution, to have a successful coins you need first to have a large users base that hold each one their share, if few people hold a big amount of coins you won't go anywhere with it, the more country will see bitcoin as a currency and incorporate in their daily activity the more bitcoin will increase, i'm waiting for more regulation of other big country like
3437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which of these Alts will be $1 like PIVX? on: May 03, 2017, 01:16:49 PM
none of those mate, there are better alternative in the new coin in the annoucement, bitcore is a new coin which strong features, a better candidate for $10 not only $1, spreadcoin veltor netko are all good coin that will go to $1, veltor is already to more than $1, also i want to tell to not invest in ico coin or pure pos, those are only bound to stay dumped forever
3438  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟Bitvest🌟 - Investor Plinko, Slot, Roulette, Bit Spin | 99% Dice Released! on: May 03, 2017, 01:13:46 PM
How much can I make with 0.015 BTC investment. Please tell me am ready to start

not much better to invest in some altcoin which is very cheap and buy 1k or more, then investing here, if you had a bigger amount it would make more sense, the return would be greater

How much can I make with 0.015 BTC investment. Please tell me am ready to start

you can check the charts, but if you want exact figures,it is pretty much impossible to tell
it depends on too many factors, the major ones being:the amount of wagered by players and their luck, your margin (5x suggested),investment period (the longer the better)etc.
but you can expect up to 50% per anum return on a long term (>1 year investment)which is about 4-5% monthly
for your 0.015 investment I would expect at least 0.0005 or 50k satoshi monthly profit

many pos coins offer a better interest per years, what's the point of this, if you gain less? for example atomcoin, have 100% interest per year
3439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU mining 2017? on: May 03, 2017, 01:11:23 PM
Hi,

3440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any good coins I am missing out on: May 03, 2017, 09:55:36 AM
I love these 'pump my bag' threads, keep it up guys!

Komodo
Iota
DCR
CBX
NEM
Qora
Stratis
VTR

well it's not only your bag, we do knwo that many coins are good, and many investors share the same bagholder, this make them cheating because they want to have their coin worth more? i don't think so, investors and whales will pump whatever they feel need to be pumped at will and random it doesn't matter if it's your bag or not, my bag is also same as you minux iota, qora and nem
