As you can see from the last couple of months price of bitcoin going down and down..
Is this the beginning of the end?
Not really shocked by this because every time the prices go down there are lot of people complaining or asking samething whether btc is dead.We need to understand that its the nature of btc and prices go up and down but they again rise after some time but this time the dip period is more long due to unfavourable conditions but this is not going to remain long. The boat is going to sail soon. |

Are you serious upon making such irrelevent judgments like bitcoin going to as low as $50.See the trend is downward but you have pulled it far enough which is impossible. Wherever the market dips the investors buy at that price which in turn boost up the price. It will need huge crash(which is not possible now) to fall at that level. |

Lot of people trades only with the emotions, some of them also joins some signal indication groups and just follow them , that's why they can not make profit in trading. Please suggest some resource where a newbie can learn about the basic of trading.
Trading is not everyones job and if you are newbie then you must learn some basic rules for trading otherwise you can't survive in long run. This forum is of great help for the new interested traders and source for learning techniques to avoid losses.Do some research online which will help you to make market analysis.But remember risk is key element in trading. |

I am new in cryptocurrency world.so i have no idea about bitcoin price prediction.I want to know about price prediction....
The commnnity in general and i beleive that bitcoin would possibly recover by the mid year and reach almost $15000-$25000 by end but we cant say that it will be peak price or not as it is too volatile to make judgements. By analyzing the price graphs you could notice the price changes and make speculations but still you can't make such predictions. |

I was prefer poloniex because was my best palform but when some one hack my acount and withdraw all my money i leave then i was go to bitrix but they also make new rules about active acount so now my question is what is best palform u can deposit ur money in it without scare and why ?

Both the exchanges are good as most good coins are listed there and not easy for each to get listed over there because of high fees and certain security protocols.Otherwise Binance is becoming the most trusted exchange for the investors because of its security features so you can try there.It will help you a lot hope so. |

How far can Bitcoin go guys? If the the Market Cap currently is $219 000 000 000, can Bitcoin ever be worth $200 000 000 000 with this market cap?
I am just curious, is the Bitcoin (or any coin) price caped by the Market Cap? Or the finite number of fiat money in the world?
Can a coin be worth more than it's market cap or can the value of a coin be equal with it's market cap if it's intensively traded/used?
The price of bitcoin is influenced by the demand in market by investors and it only happen if it becomes popular and profitable for all.Btc prices do not directly influence the market cap but huge investments in that gives boost to market.We can't in particularly say what would be it in future but it will still be profitable in long run. |

Newbie here... I've been thinking about buying my first crypto. I think I want to buy ETH, but wondering if I missed the boat already? Primarily I'm choosing ETH because I think there are less foreseeable limitations than BTC, and it seems like ETH is basically accepted everywhere BTC is. Plus its cheaper  Is now a good time to buy it? Should I wait? The boat has yet not left the shore and you can still ride on boat to journey of profits but only by grabbing the oppurtunity now and investing in ETH.It is most profitable alt after btc and has great potential,developed technology and platform for most of the coins which show a great future for ETH holders.So definitely invest the amount you can afford. |

Trading is a sort of thing which everyone can't do perfectly and one knows in the beginning that he/she is capable of it and gifted with some special techniques.See you have lost $2k which is quite a big amount but you have bought at the peak prices and now when the prices are down you are complaining. You can either wait to recover your losses or simply leave the market so as to avoid becoming bankrupt.But hodling can surely recover your losses.

bitcoin price is still dropping and now its $8000 within 3 months market is soo awful. What is the real reason for that
As far as i know prices are fluctuating like dropping and bouncing back within $8000-$10000 over this period what we call correction period.This trend will continue for some time and after that comes the bull run which will boost the prices but don't loose patience stay calm and just hodl for the long term. You can see the price graphs for last five years and you will understand the thing.The prices have gone down due to google banning crypto advertisements and some of the panic selling over this period but it will rise after some time. |

I have seen a lot of rumors out there they are saying next bitcoin is a Litecoin it possible?
See rumors is a term mostly concerned with false news or things which are not true. LTC is a coin with great technology and faster transactions speed making it better than most of the coins but still it stands no chance against btc in term of prices or technology.The team behind btc and founder Charlie Lee have made it far away better than it was supposed to be but ETH is next best coin after btc. |

In the beginning price at 62294 Dollars. Maximum price $72131, minimum price $62294. The average for the month $66033. Bitcoin price forecast at the end of the month $67412,
See i like the way you have precisely mentioned the prices for bitcoin this year in USD but all these are mere predictions and in this line where price fluctuates every hour because of its volatility speculations are of less help as anything could happen like pump or dump within few days.So we cant tell where it will stand at this year. But still we can see the prices up-to $25k if everything goes on favor. |

Isn't it so unfair for the people who is new here? That will be struggling making such as good quality post so they could be given a merit by someone. I know all of you is having a hard time thinking what are you going to post such as good quality.
It is really hard to have a merit it is because as far as I know:
People are selfish. Even though you post a really good quality post still there is a people who won't give you a merit.
Some are alone. Like me, I don't really have much friend who would give me a free merit. I know that it is easy to have a merit with a friend that have an account of bitcointalk.
My question is. Why still need merit? We are still struggling to rank because of the merit.
The change has been implemented and a new feature has been added to this forum and we should appreciate the thing instead of discussing whether it is wrong or not as we can't do anything about it now. It will help to post good topics of knowledge instead of posting anything stupid. So accept the change and be part of it. |

Just wondering if this technique would work. I did buy coins and have a good portfolio which I bought at dips but now market has dipped even further.
so by selling off any coin now, I end up at a total loss.
however my question is there a way to gain profits , even in when slight greens.
such I am thinking this
at a moment of a green, even though value still be below what I bought a certain coin at.
can I regain a loss as in make a profit
as in selling out a coin at a green and buying into something else, that is low value but has faster gains?
if that makes sense?
an example I bought BTC when it was say 8000 usd.
say now its at 6500 usd , just using this as example
then market goes green and raises to 7000 usd
I am still at a loss
but is it possible to sell my BTC and then buy into a low value coin that has development
lets stay Dragonchain.
as I don't have dragonchain yet
could I regain my total overall value in a gain by buying into an ALT coin like this and hope for the faster growth in green to regain a loss I made on BTC
just asking any of the expert traders out there?
or am I best to wait 2 years for market to fully raise up above the prices I bought my BTC original for
even in my example this same scenario could work for LTC or ETH, if not BTC

Making any techniques or strategies at this time are useless as prices of all the coins are falling and we cave predict what will happen if buy or sell any coin at this time so the best option is to stay calm and just hodl your coins which will bring good profits when everything becomes normal. |

Everybody thinks we are going to see 11K soon. The real question is, what happens after that number?
Will it drop like a stone right after 11K or will it continue to go up?

Yes we will definitely see this mark of $11k soon and prices will surely rise after that mark for some time until a dip comes.But we cant predict or what big whales are planning to do in order to make huge profits.Lets hope for the betterment of it. |

Is it because of the large number of altcoins?
For me the possible reasons for price downfall are people doing panic selling in the market eroded by the negativity spread by the market forces.Other reasons can be google banning crypto advertisements impacting the downfall on the prices but all the dips are temporary and prices will surge soon. |

The term "used less" can be used here but we cant say it will disappear in future as it is here to stay for a longer period of time as it has built it's faith on people's mind and have many uses. In future digital modes of payment will be used by many but some people who lack internet or power will be still dependent on Fiat for use.So it cannot vanish. |

I have learned some valuable lessons from trading that I would like to share. These are my personal thoughts and not trading or financial advice.
1. I learned that no one can accurately and consistently predict the market. There are many gurus out there, giving out predictions like candy. Some have large followings and paid groups. It gives people a sense of comfort to seek advice and predictions from these people. But in the end, it's important to remember that no one knows what is going to happen.
2. I have learned that protecting my money is the number one priority. Many people develop a sense of attachment to certain tokens. They will lock them away in cold storage, and HODL no matter what happens. But remember that even the most solid tokens will bleed heavily during a massive market correction. Many people with "strong hands" HODL all the way to the bottom, where they eventually sell and get REKT. Remember that not everything will rebound. In the real world, 9 out of 10 traditional new businesses will fail within 5 years. Why would crypto, which is based upon brand new technology, be any different? This is why I believe in setting stop losses. Even if the token bounces after I sell, at least I have protected my earnings and I can continue to trade another day.
3. The trend is my friend. When Bitcoin starts trading at lower highs and lower lows, that is the sign of a possible bear market. At that point, I convert back into fiat and wait. I don't try to catch falling knives, which means buy crypto as prices are falling. I patiently wait until the market hits the bottom. But how do I know what the bottom is? I don't. I wait for Bitcoin to show a reversal and solid uptrend, higher highs and higher lows, building solid support levels before I start to invest again. When I start investing, I carefully dollar cost average in.
4. By selling during a downtrend and buying during an uptrend, I make consistent profits. I don't have to know where the tops and bottoms are. And even if I make a mistake and sell my crypto too early, only to watch them rebound and moon, I have still protected my money. Then I get back on the train and continue the ride upward. I may suffer a little FOMO, but nothing is really lost.
That's my personal strategy. It's important to remember that everyone on crypto Twitter is looking out for their own investments. They will encourage you to HODL when the ship is sinking because they don't want their bags to lose value. But I always look out for myself first, and never get attached to tokens.
Again, this is my personal strategy and not trading advice. What have you learned from trading?
