3421  Economy / Speculation / Re: WTF is happening??? on: July 10, 2015, 09:57:09 AM
Lol this is hilarious look at you guys... biggest pump and dump ever playing out and you're holding a party for your future losses?

it's not over yet kwukduck. don't get excited too early. if the chinese are really planning to invest massively in bitcoin, then this is nothing. best has to come.
3422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The days of bitcoins are still to come on: July 10, 2015, 09:52:19 AM
Even then if they want to accept Bitcoin.
So, how if the world wouldn't accept Bitcoin? You should imagine that too Cool

but the point is that they are accepting it, only at a very slow rate, one should only hope that this slow rate will not be zero one day, but continue to move forward

as long as people continue to pay for things with bitcoin, merchants will surely keep accepting it. it's an extra revenue stream for them.
3423  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hit $280 on: July 10, 2015, 09:47:59 AM
it's to early to say greek people buying bitcoin, but i think it's chinese people trying to find a good investment in bitcoin. if this is the case we might see another nice peak.
3424  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hey, What Do You Think The Price of Bitcoin by end of this week? on: July 10, 2015, 12:57:20 AM
i think a slow rise to $280 and then back to $260-$270 beside that i don't expect fireworks this week. neither the week after that.
3425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: July 10, 2015, 12:54:51 AM
I like everything on Bitcoin, but I want really faaaaasteeeeer confirmations..

i think at some point there will be faster confirmations. it would make bitcoin much better and interesting for making purchases in physical stores. for online payments it doesn't matter that much to me.
3426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We ARE under attack.. we NEED to act... on: July 10, 2015, 12:50:52 AM
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned somewhere already, but: approximately how much does an attack like this cost?

i think it only cost them time if they are constantly spamming their own addresses. otherwise it would be too costly if they plan to make a long lasting attack.
3427  Other / Meta / Re: How to get Full Member on: July 09, 2015, 11:53:50 AM
Keep posting and its worth the 4.5 months Smiley

people can't and don't want to wait 4.5 months. they want to start participating in a signature campaign right now. so many threads in this forum section is about earning money.
3428  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 within a month. on: July 09, 2015, 11:49:25 AM
If somebody asks for a speculation to me, I would expect that bitcoin will slide a couple dollars up and hit 300$ mark soon. After a few months, it will slide down too. There will be fluctuation like always, but if major events constantly happen than involve bitcoin somehow (Greece economy collapse), then bitcoin might be of use very soon to much more masses and the value will multiply like crazy.

fluctuations make bitcoin interesting as investment. that will keep trading at a very good and profitable level for large traders. bitcoin is a great alternative for every one. but they just need to know that.
3429  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rally!!!!! on: July 09, 2015, 11:44:14 AM
it seems that our rally, is in a pit stop right now, i'm expecting many of those stops while we climb

much better than a extraordinary pump if you ask me, we can valued better our position

that's normal. nothing goes up all the time. people will take profits if they are up $10 per bitcoin, hoping that they can buy back cheaper. i still think we'll head back to $250 level.
3430  Economy / Economics / Re: fallout from China’s stock market crash may be coming your way on: July 09, 2015, 11:39:17 AM
chinese people are champions in investing with borrowed money. loans, mortgages, etc, most of that money needs to pay off, otherwise it will cost them a lot money. so they will look at other investment options. they have to. i hope they will look into bitcoin.
3431  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the chinese turn into Chinese after the this stock market crisis? on: July 09, 2015, 11:32:54 AM
The Chinese have the biggest part at the moment in mining. If they choose to stop, nothing will get messy, it might take some time before the mining power  is up to par again and the difficulty is reset to the new amount of hashing power available. No need to worry at all.

no need to worry? it's not that easy. especially since china is good for around 50% of the total hash power. if they stop, bitcoin will get less safe and will suffer much easier from a 51% attack. it will have a very bad impact on the price as well.
3432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unconfirmed transaction - 9 hours! on: July 09, 2015, 11:28:53 AM
Just pay 0.0001 per kb and you are fine. I am sick of these people complaining their tx is stuck. Just follow the bitcoin core policy and pay 0.0001 per kb. Time for alternativ client developers to adjust their fee settings.

Just tried it, tx got confirmed within 1 block.

yeah, there are also people saying bitcoin is broken, just because their tx didn't confirm within 10 minutes block time. but we're here to help. if some one doesn't know, just explain it to him. next time he's good to go.
3433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did anyone else buy today after NYSE halt of trades? on: July 08, 2015, 11:37:05 PM
i usually buy $50-$75 worth of bitcoin per month, but so far it was more in the range of $150 per month. it gives me a great feeling knowing that i have several bitcoins.
3434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Prices added to Markets on Kitco.com on: July 08, 2015, 11:25:20 PM
Click the Precious Metals link next to Currencies.

it will give the conversion rate of gold/silver etc to bitcoin but no you can not purchase from kitco using bitcoin.

no one said they accept bitcoin. it's just them displaying bitcoin price. i guess if they find it interesting enough at some point, they will accept it. but it's too early to say.
3435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rising on twitter - NYSE halted. Bitcoin unaffected. on: July 08, 2015, 11:22:36 PM
that's the beauty of bitcoin. it's available 24/7 and will always work. if they at some point decide to adopt the technology that powers bitcoin, they will also benefit from it. failure then is nearly impossible.
3436  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stocks fall globally as Greek talks collapse on: July 08, 2015, 11:17:45 AM
This is quite the spectacle, almost beautiful watching the fiat based economy's value plummet to hell.

http://www.marketwatch.com/investing/index/djia/overview

I don't understand this fear.  Why did everyone all of a sudden start panic selling EVERYTHING?
Is it really so bad that Greece leaves the Euro, how does that affect anything in the U.S.?

it's a chain reaction, people want to sell before the other people sell, so in a short period the prices fall massively. just to avoid ending up with a big loss. i think that's the case in china. not so much that they fear the greece drama.
3437  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin help the world's unbanked? on: July 08, 2015, 11:13:39 AM
not for everyone, many cannot buy bitcoin locally with their csh, and because of this they rely on a bank account at the end, bitcoin is more suitable with digial platform and everything that is online

we are moving in that way after all, technology is aiming to make everything digital, cash will be annihilated one day i'm sure

Anyone can start accepting payments with Bitcoin anywhere, this is very important and would have been impossible for tens of people out there in a pre-Bitcoin world.
The ones that don't have any internet tho, they are pretty much trapped on their own countries. Without internet there isnt much hope.

usually those without internet do not need bitcoin or any tech for that matter, they are people living in farm and they can produce everything for their living

bitcoin can not accomodate everyone, especially those that are not using even fiat

people with a simple mobile phone can send money or bitcoin if they so wish via sms. internet isn't necessarily needed. but i believe at some point all people world wide will be able to access the net. no matter where they are. bitcoin then has way more chances of being the best option then.
3438  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is Mark Karpells doing these days? on: July 08, 2015, 10:40:35 AM
Problem for him is that there is no way to spend a lot of his cash as he is being watched constantly... Say a new car would probably be seized..

it depends. if he can find some one willing to buy his coins anonymously below market rate, then he can basically do and buy everything he wants. especially if he started a new business, then there will be less attention pointing towards him when he buys a car or so. he just need to generate a new and decent revenue stream if he hasn't already. he is enjoying his wealth while others lost so much. unfair world.
3439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CITIBANK DEVELOPING ITS OWN CRYPTOCURRENCY on: July 08, 2015, 10:33:35 AM
@Kazimir

I can't agree more, they want control. They call their Crypcoin Citicoin and the ledgers they want to control.

I just hope that people grasp the concept of decentralization and not fall prey to these means.

of course they want to control everything. it has been like this for so many years already. it's not going to change. they want the benefits from a currency like bitcoin, but not lose control. it's simple.
3440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reminder: The price on January 1, 2015 was 317. on: July 08, 2015, 12:15:20 AM
smart people place well thought buy orders at various price levels to benefit from a flash crash or other large dumps. via that way you are more likely to get coins at the best rate.
