3421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I find way to win on dice on: October 17, 2022, 08:27:23 PM
A gambler can do well with the strategies the OP has mentioned. But there is no guarantee. The important thing is that in order to bet on this term, he has to consider his financial situation and bet from the beginning in such proportions that he can afford to double his bet every time he loses.
Base bet is too high for anyone to have success with this strategy. Usually gamblers set base bet in 1 dollar or few dollars only, so they can survive for longer loss streaks. It's not uncommon to hit 7 losses in a row unlike OP believes. It is quite possible to lose 10-14 times in sequence with 50% winning chance.

Moreover, with 50% winning chance you aren't going to profit 100% over your bet, so always you lose you have to increase the bet a little more than 100%, due to the house edge. Therefore, a gambler using this strategy also has to deal with this another disadvantage.
3422  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: October 17, 2022, 02:07:05 PM
Cryptocurrency could be taught inside mathematics subject when teaching children about decimal houses of a number. Later on, when children grow up, they could be taught about the origins of bitcoin, its purpose, pros and cons, characteristics and how it is behaving on the practice along the years against inflation and protecting the money of its investors. There is enough bitcoin content for mathematics, economy and history lessons, unfortunatelly schools don't teach students to be smart, realistic and critical, rather they teach students to be sheep, so they don't become a threat to the system we live in.
3423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Prophecy on: October 17, 2022, 12:20:06 PM
Actually The Bible and the prophecies also talk about false prophets who use the name of God, his word and the name of his Son to deceive people on this world for personal interests and gains. That is the case of most religious authorities nowadays, so you have to be careful on who you believe, especially when they connect faith and attending to their churches to financial success and independence.

There is nothing wrong in earning money, but faith goes much beyond this matter and can't be thought as a magical tool to fill someone's pocket by preachers that look more mystical than religious men, to say the truth.
3424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 17, 2022, 05:05:51 AM
I will not be influenced by my favorite celebrity who is used to gambling because it will negatively influence my life. I'd rather just watch him gamble without thinking about following what he's doing. And even if I gamble, it's just for fun because the difference between him and me is so big. We must realize who we are and do not need to follow others, especially if we have many limitations in terms of finances. If we want to gamble, we must make sure that we are gambling for entertainment and nothing else.
Me neither. Celebrities have a confortable life and easy money at their disposal. Their reality is totally different from most of us who have to manage our monthly budget very strictly in order to survive and fulfill our appointments. We can't give ourselves the right to compare our gambling habits to celebrities' gambling habits, despite how we like them. I agree with you, we should just watch them playing, enjoy their videos and be entertained for that! After all, they are celebrities and they make a living from entertaining us, the spectators!  Cheesy
3425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free NFTs are a waste of time on: October 16, 2022, 10:34:02 PM
Sadly it is just a waste of time. You need to ask yourself why NFTs are being given for free and what the giver is earning with this. Of course he has to be earning something with this, because nobody gives money for free, or the most obvious answer is that he is simply giving valueless stuff he can't do anything with or which didn't cost anything for him to produce.

Giveaways which really worth were bitcoin faucets back in the early years of cryptocurrency. So you were paid in an asset you knew it had a real value. But since giveaways started being paid in altcoins and NFTs it completely lost its purpose, because people started being paid in useless tokens they don't even know if they worth a penny of dollar or not.

Crypto enthusiasts back then were smarter, or giveaways' promoters have become deceitful on their offers.
3426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit coins era is going to end on: October 16, 2022, 08:43:42 PM
Well to be honest to be honest, I don’t believe that the Shitcoin era is going to go away since people are always trying to find the next get-rich-quick coin. Now even more than ever newer "shit coins" are being created every day.

People who don’t know much about the crypto space will probably buy those types of coins thinking they will be able to make a short-term and fast profit.
Yes, it's psychology. And it mainly benefits the big players in the market, such as exchanges or funds, who manipulate shitcoins as they see fit. You could say they are making money out of thin air on naive people. As long as such a scheme works, then shitcoins will not disappear. Time after time, the altcoin story repeats the same scenario.
The ironic part is that big players who are benefited by such tokens are swaping the profit made to bitcoin as soon as possible, while most investors lose their money holding priceless coins.

Once the demand for cryptocurrency rises again we will see many new projects and concepts being launched. Developers are just waiting the right moment for that, because if they did it now, it wouldn't be profitable for them, as they know there aren't many speculators around at this moment to pump their tokens and create hype.
3427  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins? on: October 16, 2022, 08:15:19 PM
I use to be so much into altcoin at the beginning of my crypto journey and I was deeply rooted in several projects' development but along the line, I lost my appetite for altcoins since there can go from 100 to 0 in a matter of seconds.

Many risk their money on altcoin for short-term bases, but that is if you can make the right pick and be able to pull out when the market is in an uptrend direction before losing everything looking for maximum profits that may never come.
That is why it is much better to invest in bitcoin. Btc price has a lower potential when compared to altcoins, but it is still a very decent potential we don't find in other investments among traditional markets.

I imagine bitcoin can hit 100,000$ on the next bullish season which may take 3 years yet, what means it is already 500% profit return over currently investments. Who does need more than that? To persue altcoins for higher percentage profit seems pure greed after making this comparison.
3428  Economy / Gambling / Re: Regulations & Gambling projects on: October 16, 2022, 05:53:10 PM
Actually, as a user, we can't really feel much of this regulation except for the KYC part. But we don't have to worry as in most cases, KYC is just for big whales. That might be annoying for these big players but for us average players, nothing to worry about as long as we are not doing something unusual.

The problem is we don't really know how these gambling websites handle our private informations because even if we don't do anything suspicious, they can still be use on illegal activities once it's in the hand of criminals. Even if they are reputable in this forum, we can't guarantee that our credentials are safe. Do we know if their database of our information is safe from hackers? Are our information not being sold yet on the black market? Things like these are what scares many people about this gambling regulation.
Nothing connected to the internet is safe from hackers. Data can be leaked without any doubts, but in casinos' defense, I must say it is not an exclusive issue with them.

Even your government can leak your data through a malicious employee who have access to it and want to make some dirty money or through a common hacking attempt, depending the security level of your institutions.

Anyway, I don't bother with this issue very much. If someone is using my documents for criminal purposes, it is going to be investigated by authorities and they will find I have nothing to do with this, finally reaching to the guilty criminals after all. There isn't perfect crime, and someone using others' identities to practice their scam schemes is only buying time, what doesn't prevent them from inevitably being caught after a while.
3429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Survey] Do you still play or stop the game? on: October 16, 2022, 05:09:41 PM
Yes, I stop playing and get really satisfied on this situation. There is no reason to want more from a gambling session than the double of your initial bankroll. When we are lucky we need to make that luck worth something, because it makes no sense to be lucky and continue playing until eventually losing all the profit recently made. So stop while you can, enjoy your profit smartly, and if possible make it grow investing somehow.
3430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What contests do you want to see on the Dice platform? on: October 15, 2022, 04:51:24 PM
I think it would be interesting if you launched a series of weekly or monthly badges players could earn by completing challenges on your dice game. Each badge would add points and once the player reached a milestone, he would then receive a reward.

Let's say a player collects 50 points with badges, reaching his first milestone. So he receives a reward from your casino. And the longer he reaches, the better becomes the rewards until hiting the last one of the weekly or monthly contest.

This way the contest is encouraging because everyone can earn, instead of rewarding top wagerers exclusively.
3431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What efforts have you made to raise bitcoin awareness in your community? on: October 15, 2022, 03:58:51 PM
I talk to people about bitcoin. They don't understand very well how it works and want to know who is behind it, as it had a supplier like the government or central bank. Then I tell them bitcoin is decentralized and has no authority behind it and that anyone can acquire bitcoin from the original source by mining it virtually with hardwares and that the total supply is limited to 21 million btcs.

But I think it is too hard to understand such things, so they end believing it doesn't make sense and that I'm probably being fooled by this bitcoin thing...
3432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you choose cryptocurrency as full time job? on: October 14, 2022, 08:06:15 PM
Due to the bearish market, there are very few opportunities in crypto market for someone to work as a full time worker, but there are people doing this already. Every crypto platforms need different kinds of professionals to operate, so there are programmers, designers, advertisers, support team, financial analysts and advisors... All these people can live from crypto income, working for one or several companies at once.

On this forum, thanks to signature campaigns, it has been a reality for many members. The tendency is that the number of spots available in crypto industry rises in some years, as we enter a new positive market trend, so more people will be able to join this sector and earn a decent income from it for a living.
3433  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture HODL on: October 14, 2022, 06:02:52 PM
It is not so easy and worthful like it sounds. It would be great if you could simply grow your crops, harvest everything and take it to the supermarket for profit.

However, supermarkets already have their suppliers who need to be regulated by the government in order to be able to sell the crops, what involves extra costs for the farmer and also for the supermarket due to taxes. Moreover, even if you manage to make the sale the supermarket pays much less for your crops than the final product's price.

Just as example, I collected eatable seeds from a local species of pine once and took it to the supermarket. For each kilogram I was paid 0,60$, while the supermarket sold each kilogram for 1,60$ in the end.

It doesn't feel rewarding. It feels exploitative and frustrating, because you had to do the most part of the job, which took time and effort, while the supermarket simply displays the products there and receive almost 200% of your profit.
3434  Economy / Economics / Re: Savings during inflation on: October 14, 2022, 04:43:08 PM
The only currencies I'm trusting to hold are cryptocurrencies, and a little bit regretful already for not selling them last year. Fiat currencies we have to spend and invest in something solid which can gain value within time, that is what I have been taught despite inflation.

The sooner you learn this lesson the better, so you won't regret your decisions when you see the purchasing power of your savings decreasing considerably after a year or two.

Buy a house, an apartment, a piece of land (preferentially with water source) if you have enough money, but don't hold fiat for too long.
3435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good that the Bitcoin community acts like a cult? (Podcast) on: October 14, 2022, 03:45:16 PM
The pros of having a bitcoin cult is that this group of people is going to defend bitcoin's principles on its essence and original purpose. This group is active since the beginning of bitcoin. They are early adopters, have some technical knowledge the average adopter doesn't have and aren't just speculators looking for get rich overnight schemes. Therefore, bitcoin cult is here to stay doesn't matter the market's situation, they are loyal.

On the other hand, the cons is that bitcoin cult doesn't accept criticizes or suggestions on what could be done to boost adoption and usage. They despise every cryptocurrency besides bitcoin and centralized platforms like exchanges. They don't see or don't care centralized services are needed in order to bring more adopters to this financial universe.
3436  Economy / Gambling / Re: Do you visit the casino while travelling? on: October 14, 2022, 02:48:57 PM
Maybe someday if I have the opportunity to go abroad to a country where gambling is legalized I will visit a land based casino. For now my only alternative is to visit illegal casinos, because gambling isn't allowed in my country, so I prefer to play solely online at crypto ones. Anyway there is not much pleasure when going to clandestine casinos, because the machines are old, makeshift and since the place must be hidden, it is not captivating and beautiful like a touristic legal casino.
3437  Economy / Gambling / Re: To what extent do you chase anonymity while gambling? on: October 13, 2022, 09:27:10 PM
For me anonymity is not an important feature anymore. With so much KYC demanded everywhere you need to adapt yourself to the environment or give up a plethora of crypto services and opportunities. In fact, internet isn't anonymous anyway. Some people have a false sensation they are hidden, but governments' agencies, especially from the world's potencies like US and China must have top notch technology we can't even imagine.

In conclusion, it is a lost battle, so better that you don't commit any wrongdoings online because you never know who is watching you and how they are watching you.
3438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Formula 1's Crypto.com Sponsor Is Falling Apart on: October 13, 2022, 07:58:08 PM
If I'm not mistaken, Crypto.com is also sponsoring Qatar world cup. Maybe they were really too ambitious with their marketing. They should have gone slower expecting the bull market couldn't last forever.

But I don't think sports are losing popularity or being replaced by esports. Each niche has its public which seems to be very loyal to the content they consume. What I see is a notable growment in cryptp and gambling advertisements at sports events, although it is more related to soccer.

I believe traditional companies found more efficient and cheaper ways to promote their products and services on the internet, therefore sports events had to find alternative companies to sponsor them and that is what is happening.
3439  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Do you have winning limits???? on: October 13, 2022, 06:25:55 PM
Winning limit is only worthful when you win big, so you can use your prize to change your life financially without risking losing it gambling anymore, but for daily gambling sessions winning limits won't make any difference on long run, as you will lose more money than you win after a while.

I use only stop loss limit rule. If I lose a determined quota I must stop playing to come back only when I recover that sum of money through another sources of income that don't involve betting. The less I lose, the sooner I will be able to gamble again, however, the more I lose, the longer it is going to take until I will be able to play again.
3440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Sites in the Country doest allowed on: October 13, 2022, 05:46:27 PM
I think there isn't any strategy. If a country forbids gambling in general or specific gambling websites, there is nothing they can do to bypass the ban.

Some users may try to use VPN, but it is not advised in any cases, because it can be used as excuse by casinos to block an account or deny a withdrawal. If it happens, the gambler has to accept his fate because he was playing from a forbidden country and using a tool to mask his location.

About bribery I'm not sure if online casinos really have to use this kind of approach, since they have the whole world as potential customers and don't need to focus on specific areas and regions to make their businesses successful.
